Holy fuck piping that was so difficult i think i over whipped it. Gonna wait til tomorrow for the whipped cream ones i think so i dont have to fridge them (bad for texture says rhe internet)

Anyways my “bakealong” inspired by the gbbo technical this week

Baking along with GBBO this year for the first time! This was my version of the Week 1 signature challenge: mini sandwich cakes. I made a 4in Boston Cream Pie and it was so good!!

I definitely encountered some issues, the cake was a teensy bit dried out (overbaked, they are so small they bake quickly!), and my custard filling didn't thicken at first so I had to put it back on the stove to thicken up. But I didn't let that deter me, and overall the cake was absolutely mouthwatering.

Week 1 down! Next week, macarons...
