Yamaha MT-15 2.0 Price in Mysore
The formal launch of the Yamaha MT15 V2.0 is expected to take place in the next couple of weeks. The motorcycle will be priced at Rs 1.46 lakh ex-showroom and is expected to compete with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 and KTM Duke 200. Bookings for the bike are open and the price is expected to be Rs 5,000 to ten thousand more than the MT15 V1. It is a very competitive machine and will be priced in a way that will make it an even more appealing purchase.
155cc LC4V SOHC Fuel Injection Engine:
The Yamaha MT-15 has a 155cc LC4V SOHCC, liquid-cooled, four-valve SOHC engine, and comes with an excellent-shifting 6-speed transmission. The fuel-efficient MT-15 is equipped with a new BS6 emissions standard. It features an inbuilt side-stand engine cut-off switch and a multi-function negative LCD instrument cluster.
The MT-15 is equipped with a fully digital LCD cluster, which displays customizable animated text, the gear shift indicator, and the VVA indicator. When the motorcycle is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth, the Wi-Connect app provides information on the motorcycle's battery level, maintenance recommendations, and riding statistics. It also offers connectivity to smartphone-compatible services, including the Yamaha Y-Connect app.
Swingarm:
The new bike from the Japanese manufacturer, the Yamaha MT-15 Ver 2.0, features an upside-down fork at the front and an aluminium swingarm. It also comes with an upside-down headlamp and LED DRLs. It comes equipped with a Bluetooth smartphone connection and a traction control system. It also comes with dual-channel ABS and a quick shifter for easy gear changes.
As a result, the bike feels light and agile. It also boasts of a Delta box frame, which makes it nimbler and more responsive. However, the MT does not inspire the same level of confidence as its faired siblings. To corner it successfully, riders need to plan their lines and lean over a bit. And it is not as manoeuvrable as a faired bike, so be sure to check the mirrors before taking a turn.
EMI Calculator:
The Yamaha MT-15 2.0 EMI Calculator helps you get a better understanding of your monthly payments and interest rates for a loan. This loan calculator allows you to input the amount you wish to borrow, the loan interest rate, and the term of your loan. You can also negotiate with the financial institution to get a lower interest rate. It is possible to get up to 15% off your EMI by offering lower payments.
Another benefit of this bike loan calculator is that it allows you to set the tenure and EMI amount, allowing you to adjust it as per your financial status. By varying the loan amount, you can experiment with different EMI amounts, and choose a monthly budget that works best for you. It also helps you plan your budget more effectively. After all, nobody wants to default on a loan. This calculator will ensure that you do not miss a single repayment!
On Road Price:
The Yamaha MT 15 on Road Price in Mysore is based on the specifications of the bike and includes local tax, life time road tax, insurance, handling charges, etc. The on-road price of the motorcycle may vary from one dealer to another even within the same city. The price of the bike also depends on its demand and supply, as well as the comparisons to other motorcycles in the same segment. The price varies, so it is imperative to get a good idea of the price before making a decision.
The base variant of the MT-15 is priced at Rs. 1,59,900, while the top-end variant of the bike costs Rs. 2,01,699 in Mysore. There are 8 Yamaha showrooms in Mysore where you can buy the bike, or finance it by availing EMI plans starting at Rs. 6,799 per month. The bike can be purchased for Rs. 1,59,900 ex-showrooms, while the MT 15 2.0 on-road price will be about twenty thousand more.

DOMINAR 250/ 400
The Dominar 400 certainly is a good value for money motorcycle, which is even better now with these additional improvements that end up making it much more touring equipped than before. Strangely enough, these touring kits are required to purchase a Dominar 400. Nonetheless, they appear to be functional and perform the job. The excellent thing is that they can be installed on prior version Dominars, except for the USB port, which will necessitate the purchase of a new wire harness. Overall, the Dominar draws closer to the touring image that Bajaj has been working hard to establish.
Positives Dominar 400
It has a handy and dynamic performance, and a plethora of touring-friendly accessories. Comfort of upright riding

Pulsar is Bajaj’s finest home-grown production machines
I don’t think we’ve given Bajaj’s latest Pulsar enough credit. This is one of the finest home-grown production machines in the country today. For the price, it’s fantastic and in just one single year, Bajaj has produced two of the best motorcycles on sale right now. Sure, KTM’s technology has helped them make this massive leap, it’s not easy meeting this kind of success. In turn, KTM benefitted from Bajaj’s cost-effective mass-manufacturing expertise. Credit where credit’s due. Good job, Bajaj.
We’ve spent nearly a year with the NS and all things considered, we really wouldn’t hesitate in recommending one. Like we mentioned in our earlier report, the 200NS is stunning. It looks purposeful, the proportions are just right and save for the hideous hugger, the 200NS looks pretty good. We’ve ridden the Pulsar hard for almost the entire time we’ve had it and yet, no real issues have cropped up. The much-improved build quality was also much appreciated. In the city, it’s nimble and quick to change direction though we don’t like that slightly top heavy feeling. Riding out on the highway, it’s a much more comfortable motorcycle than the Duke 200, it can cruise better at a higher speed and even on the economy front, it wins. No doubt, the KTM will eat it raw in the twisties and tighter urban spaces, but the Pulsar is just better everywhere else.  And the latest car news and the latest bike news will be updating soon.
It’s fun, fast, practical, good-looking, built right, has a good service backup, is priced spot-on and simply put, it just works for India. There are a few niggles but none of them are even close to being deal-breakers. If this is a teaser for Bajaj’s future, the future looks very promising indeed. So promising, in fact, that we’re getting impatient – just bring the 375 already!

Have a lakh of rupees and wondering which motorcycle to buy? Here is our pick of the best BS IV bikes which are priced below Rs. 1 lakh.
Highlights
Customers are leaning towards bikes which are enthusiast centricThe bike segment under Rs. 1 lakh is seeing a lot of activitySome of our picks include the Apache 200, Pulsar NS200 and the Gixxer SF
In the last couple of years, the motorcycle segment under Rs. 1 lakh has seen a lot of activity. Two-wheeler manufacturers are constantly trying to better the balance between practicality and performance. Slowly but surely, buyers in this segment have started accepting two-wheeler models which are enthusiast-centric and can keep it practical at the same time. Keeping this in mind, we have curated a list of two-wheelers which we believe are really good buys in terms of practicality and performance offered and they give you the best bang for your buck, too. So, in case you have a lakh of rupees with you sitting idle and you are looking to buy a two-wheeler, look no further. Here are our top picks.
1. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V:
(TVS Apache RTR 200 4V)
One of our favourites, the Apache RTR 200 4V not only looks great with its naked street-fighter style appeal but also has performance to boot. TVS has also done well to offer variants with either carburetted or fuel-injected engines. One can also get the Apache 200 with ABS and Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres instead of the regular TVS Remoras. We strongly suggest that you stick to the Pirellis though. The 197 cc engine churns out 20.21 bhp and 18.1 Nm of torque, which is more than enough power you will ever need in the city. In case you are interested it does 0-60 kmph in less than 4 seconds and reaches 100 kmph from standstill in just 12 seconds. It is an absolute gem of a handler too. The prices for the Apache RTR 200 start at Rs. 92,615 and go up to just over Rs. 1 lakh. Absolute value-for-money bike, we say.
2. Bajaj Pulsar NS200:
(2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200)
Bajaj's Pulsar range of motorcycles has always been viewed as great value-for-money motorcycles. The 2017 Pulsar NS 200 was launched earlier in the year and along with a BS IV compliant engine and the auto-headlamp on (AHO) feature it also gets new colours and subtle cosmetic updates. The 199.5 cc engine continues to make 23 bhp of peak power and 18.3 Nm of torque, having a six-speed gearbox. As far as performance is concerned, the Pulsar NS200 offers a peppy ride and will be a good upgrade from a sedate commuter bike as well. The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is priced at Rs. 96,453.
3. Suzuki Gixxer SF:
(Suzuki Gixxer SF)
if we consider motorcycles in the 150-160cc category, the Suzuki Gixxer SF is right up there with the best. The Gixxer SF has a 155 cc motor making 14.6 bhp and 14 Nm. The performance is absolute best in its segment and looks good too. You could opt for either a carburetted or a fuel-injected variant and you also get an option to get a disc brake at the rear. The quality of materials used and the overall fit and finish is excellent as well. With prices starting at Rs. 89,659, the Gixxer SF makes for a great purchase.
4. Honda CB Hornet 160R:
(Honda CB Hornet 160R)
The CB Hornet 160R is yet another lean-mean 160 cc machine that not only looks good but offers good performance as well. Honda has done well to give an aggressive look to the CB Hornet 160R which is quite a refreshing change from its usual design scheme. The CB Hornet 160R gets a 162 cc motor that makes 15.66 bhp and 14.76 Nm of peak torque. It was one of the first BS IV offerings in the Indian two-wheeler market. The prices for the Honda CB Hornet 160 R start from Rs. 85,824 and go up till Rs. 91,622. Definitely worth a consideration if you are looking for a bike below Rs. 1 lakh.
5. Yamaha FZ-S V2.0:
(Yamaha FZ-S V2.0)
While the FZ-S is not quite the best-seller it used to be after the emergence of other motorcycles in the segment, it still is a good option to buy in the 150 cc space. The FZ-S gets a 149 cc motor that makes 13 bhp and 12.8 Nm. Yamaha began offering a fuel-injected motor on the FZ-S when it launched the V2.0 in 2014. Of course, Yamaha updated the engine to be BS IV compliant for 2017. The prices for the FZ-S start at Rs. 82,789. We would love to see a V3.0 of the FZ-S sometime soon. For its price, the FZ-S is an attractive proposition.
6. Bajaj Avenger 220:
(Bajaj Avenger Street 220)
Our list would have been incomplete without the new Avenger 220. The Avenger 220 and the 150 were the first Bajaj bikes to get a BS IV engine. Both the Street 220 and the Cruise 220 have a 220 cc engine that churns out 18.8 bhp and 17.5 Nm with a 6-speed gearbox. The Avenger range is also a hit with customers who like to go on long rides and tours and Bajaj is aiming to eat into the sales of Royal Enfield motorcycles, which are similarly priced. The Avenger 220 models, with their cruiser-themed styling and refreshed looks (updated in 2015) have good street presence and sell in decent numbers. If you are looking for swagger and a relaxed ride, the Avenger 220 makes a good case for itself.
7. Bajaj Pulsar 150:
(New New Bajaj Pulsar 150)
The first-generation Pulsar 150 was launched way back in 2001 and ever since, it has been the bread and butter model for Bajaj. The fact that Bajaj has still persisted with it proves its importance to the company. For 2017, the Pulsar 150 got quite a few changes. The cosmetic updates include new colour options, faux carbon-fibre finish and new decals as well. The engine retains its 149.5 cc displacement but gets a few changes. Apart from being BS IV compliant, the bore has been reduced by 2 mm and the stroke has been increased by 4 mm. The engine makes 14 bhp, which is a bhp less than the previous-gen model, but the torque has been increased by 1 Nm to 13.4 Nm. All these changes have made the engine more refined. With a price of Rs. 74,603, the 2017 Pulsar 150 surely is one of the best bikes to lay your hands on in the sub 1 lakh space.

Bajaj Pulsar 150: All You Need to Know
The Bajaj Pulsar is one of the most popular commuter bikes in India. There are seven models in Bajaj's Pulsar domain. Those include, in ascending order: Bajaj Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180, Pulsar 220F, Pulsar 135 LS, NS 160, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, and Bajaj Pulsar RS 200.
Interestingly, the Pulsar brand made the Bajaj brand a pioneer in making motorcycles.
Tumblr media
Apart from that, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 remains one of the bestselling models in the country. So, what factors contributed to making the bike a bestseller? Let's find that out.
Bajaj Pulsar 150: Exterior
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 bike's exterior has striking looks with its sharp and edgy design elements that have attracted youth. The bike retains the Pulsar DNA design, and one can't mistakenly identify it with any other bike on the market. It features a bikini fairing cowl around the halogen headlamp unit. Besides that, the raked windscreen and muscular fuel tank with edgy tank shrouds make the Pulsar 150 a stunning-looking bike. Apart from that, the bike's tail has a sharp edge with integrated LED tail-lights. Beneath that, it gets a dual-tone exhaust muffler and alloy wheels. Furthermore, the Pulsar 150 gets dual-tone colour options. Overall, the bike has an elevated sense of design.
Bajaj Pulsar 150: Features
Bajaj bikes are well-known for providing a fair number of features. The Bajaj Pulsar 150's features include a clip-on handlebar, a semi-digital instrument cluster, an engine kill switch, tubeless tyres, a DC headlamp unit, self-cancelling turn indicators, and backlit controls, to name a few. However, at the same time, it also has alloy wheels, a disc brake, and an electric start that are standard. Some of the Pulsar 150's rivals lack these standard features, but they were kept optional.
Bajaj Pulsar 150: Powertrain
The Bajaj Pulsar is a bike that has a decent amount of power. For those who want to kickstart their dreams of owning a bike on a budget, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 could be an ideal option. However, it can be safe to say that the Pulsar 150 is an entry-level performance bike with respect to the Indian two-wheeler market. The success of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is all thanks to the first-gen's healthy power output, and that is carried forward in the ongoing model. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 specifications include a 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with an output of 13.8bhp and 13.25Nm of peak torque. It gets DTS-i technology that makes the bike more fuel-efficient. As claimed by the bikemaker, the mileage of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is 65kmpl. That makes it one of the most fuel-efficient bikes in India.
As for the transmission, it is available with a five-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The BS6-compliance of the Pulsar 150's twin discs weighs 148 kg, which is 4 kg heavier than the BS4's 144 kg. Apart from that, the bike also gets a single-channel ABS in its variants.
Bajaj Pulsar 150: Prices and Variants
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 price starts at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base model, the Neon BS6 variant. It goes up to Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top model, the Twin Disc BS6 variant.  So, above were a few tit-bits about the bike. It is long overdue for the bike to receive a complete makeover. If you are looking for a Pulsar 150 successor, check out the curated list of upcoming bikes in India. Apart from the Bajaj 150, you can also apply filters and set your budget accordingly.

Pulsar is Bajaj's finest home-grown production machines.
Tweak in the tale
After its internationally lauded launch in 2009, the Tata Nano has seen its hype fall flat on the face. Ever since, Tata Motors has been desperately trying to evolve the world's cheapest car into a city vehicle that lives down the image of a "Rs 1 lakh car". The original price tag was conceived to be its USP, but gave the Nano the crippling attribute of a substandard machine. Spontaneous combustion and other problems did not help its cause either. Tata Motors went back to the planning room, and the news that emanates from the factories is the Twist, a new Nano avatar that looks fresh. But do the changes justify a new price tag of over Rs 2 lakh? Credit should be given where it is due, and Tata Motors has succeeded in tweaking the car, getting rid of the niggling problems, and simultaneously improving the quality of the interiors. The standout addition to the Nano Twist is power steering. But it's time Tata Motors made it standard in all variants. As earlier, the lower variants of the Twist lack this feature, and being city cars, they always turn parking or driving in heavy traffic into a veritable arm wrestling match.  And the latest business news will be updating soon. All my assumptions based on my past experience with driving the Nano were shattered because the Twist is zippy and effortless to drive. What makes it even more of a delight is the fact that now you can use the 4-metre turning radius without thinking twice about a reluctant steering wheel. The days of a three-point turn is now gone as you can drive straight into a tight space and park the Twist with ease. Tata Motors has, however, ensured that the steering wheel does not feel paper light, and the power assistance reduces with increase in speed, giving you a decent feel of the car. Apart from some chrome garnishing, the Twist badge at the rear and the introduction of new colours like Damson Purple and Dazzle Blue, there aren't any significant change in the exteriors. The 2012 interior upgrades have all been carried on to the Twist. The all-beige cabin even manages to camouflage the average build quality. As for additional features, the Twist comes with a music system with Bluetooth connectivity and, more importantly, two glove boxes. Tata Motors has done some work on the clutch, and it now complements the power steering to make for a comfortable drive. The centrally located instrument cluster has been changed to interface with the electronics that give you a distance-to-empty readout, mileage and the fuel level. For an ultra compact vehicle, the Nano's offering has always been its spacious cabin with fairly comfortable seats. Unlike many other hatchbacks, there is plenty of shoulder room. With the summer hear beating down on our necks, the Twist's air conditioner provides quick relief as it efficiently brings down the temperature in the cabin. And the good news is that the air conditioner doesn't sap the engine's power.
