this idea that they casted who they did for Abby for any reason other than casting a very thin, dainty girlie in STARK contrast to one of the few female characters in games with a larger build is so we can grapple properly with the “horror” rather than simply not wanting to cast a bigger girl for her… is hilarious. the TLOU adaption in general is such a mealy-mouthed mess in its writing & the undercurrent of zionist leanings truly takes the cake on a show that was determined to do itself “better” than the game and only made it worse. the backward character annihilation of its leads that became secondary to flimsy one-episode antagonists & slogged through the apocalypse as a POST APOCALYPSE show. the useless “motherhood” insistence for women who were not mothers, nor wanted to be. and then they cast the skinniest, shortest girl they could find for abby. come on.
#I loathe it I LOATHE IT#the series has been retroactively soured for me in a lot of ways after learning more about the zi*onist history#so I’ve let it go since then. but.#albeit the game series did mean a lot to me at one point & Abby in particular#A disastrous fire of a show that barely understood its own source material#baffling given the og creator’s involvement. someone was clearly too in love with his own genius
