Regarding what I said about us not criticising the remakes, I totally didn’t meant that we shouldn’t call out the casting choice of Sana, because that was the worst thing they could have done. No, I was talking about Druck missing a episode and not using Social Media often. People were literally saying that they didn’t wanted to watch it anymore because of that. This also includes all the Marles hate. That just really gets on my nerves.
oh okay! sorry i misunderstood. there are like three different conversations going on at once so i hope you get that it was easy to misread everything lol
if people are saying that stuff about druck, it’s kinda childish but if they don’t wanna watch it then that’s their problem. they’re missing out on a great adaptation if they judge it that quickly over one small hiatus (that was explained).
and as for marles... like i said before, i think it’s a good thing to criticize the bad choices and problematic aspects in types of media and [in the beginning] stages of noorhelm’s relationship - and by extension marles, as it is in the beginning stages right now and is an almost identical remake - portray something that i wouldn’t necessarily call healthy. it’s important to educate so i don’t think i would agree with people who are opposed to any sort of criticism regarding the ship.

The new chapter of “New Rules” is soo good! I can’t get the mental image of the oc in a hotdog costume out of my head :D I really liked that Kookie and Y/N are getting closer in a platonic kind of way (?) and don’t get me started with the rest of your Bts characterisation. Yoongi was on point and Hobi... Let’s just say I‘m looking forward to future interactions with the oc... ( and maybe some jealous Jungcock 👀) Anyway, I’m so excited to see what comes next and please stay healthy!❤️
ahahahahhaa thank youuuuu. im so glad that you think the characterizations are on point! this makes me so happy and i hope you stay healthy too
Anonymous said:EEP I AM SO EXCITED FOR HOBI BEING IN NEW RULES! HE WILL BE THE LIGHT TO THE O/C's GLOOMY LIFE (not gloomy, but seems like some shitty things happened to her and she needs & deserves joy in her life and the perfect person for that is hobi)!!!! J-HOPEEEEEE!

Anonymous said:I really appreciate how you write the oc & jungkook's relationship & how they're slowly getting more comfortable with each other (lowkey excited for hobi's role even if he's the bad guy here. sucker for soccer players 💜)
haha thank you so much! and me too D: while everyone thirsted over football players, i was always a soccer hoe so i couldnt resist making hobi and jk soccer players lololol
Anonymous said:I love u so so much omg everything about the new chapter for new rules is absolutely amazing. I loved the point on feminism, the cute drunk scenes, and the intro of hobi as captain! Tae should tag along and go to those away games to get some photos of hobi’s ass ;)) Ill be elated if tae and hobi end up hooking up or dating (esp since the way u portrayed tae during the feminist scene made me so fond of him! He deserves some good dick!). Thanks so much for giving us another great update :)
eeep thank you!!!! and lol a lot of ppl ship vhope and i love me!!! me too lowkey! and tae is just soft. hes like the gay best friend to the OC except not exactly gay and i love their dynamic :) thanks so much for ur message!
Anonymous said:"we'll see what's his deal soon" "well they are good friends, for now" not only I can feel ur smirk but also it's making me start theories and I'm dying bc I'm so bad at this but will it stop me? HELL NAH —❄️🐰Anonymous said:I really love how friendly Taetae is in the last chapter HE'S SERIOUSLY THE CUTESTT and yoongi being yoongi xD but I can't help but think about all the shit that's about to happen after y/n told Mijoo and Jimin that "it's complicated" and yoongi straight ass calling her jk's girlfriend, what if her red-head friend hears about that and comes for her ass bc she told her to stay away and let her tame the junkcock.. I mean what could she even do about that but it still gives me anxiety —❄️🐰
hahahahaha yessss. tbh i think tae is my fave character!!! and yessss. guys dont forget about hyejin! she’s an important character, even tho she wasnt in ch 4 haha. You will see what happens soon! *cue evil smirk*
Anonymous said:I loved how you described mijoo's concern for OC after hot dog nite. omg Im so soft for OC and mijoo's friendship and how much they care for each other TT FORGET JK AND JM IM SHIPPING OCXMIJOO
omg youre the first person to mention that! yes, i really dont think mijoo is fake like ppl say bc it’s hard to fake that amount of concern :/ AND ME TOO!!! CHICKS OVER DICKS!!!

ERWIN smith was a perfect person.
the perfect job, the perfect house, the perfect husband, the perfect life.
to everyone else, erwin had the perfect childhood. two parents, madly in love with each other, but loved their son more than one another. he was an only child in the eyes of the public, no conduct troubles throughout elementary.
erwin grew up with the perfect grades, perfect attitude. his father and mother let him skip a few grades, his comprehension skills beyond those in his year.
and even then, behind the scenes, erwin's small family was nowhere near perfect. his mother's strange murder ruled as an accident with no suspects when he was only at the age of seven proved that. but what hurt more than her death was that he knew exactly what was going on.
it was the first moment that erwin felt like he was the smartest in the room, only to immediately realize that he was late to the party.
the uncomfortable looks that the judge and prosecutor gave to him as he sat through the hearing, sitting still with no expression on his face. he didn't start crying until they described the day that she died, he realized that it was practically all of his fault.
his mother at the time, needed something for erwin, specifically a book for his english class. oddly, she was claimed to have walked to a book store through small alleyways and in overall hidden areas. she died on her way back home.
erwin can't remember the fake cause of death, he's only able to remember that the bullet holes in his moms head and chest didn't make sense. all because he needed a book for school.
years down the line, after the persistent teachings of his father, specifically the corruption of the law, he died a month after erwin's 18th birthday.
his death was ruled a mystery, one that would remain buried with the millions of coffins that reeked of unjust.
erwin smith did not have the perfect childhood in reality. all that he had was the perfect lie, one that everyone believed.
but a bad childhood did not make erwin any less perfect, so long as he let his past self die along with his parents. as long as the lie was polished everyday, he'd remain perfect.
but deep down inside, maybe for the second time in his whole life, he wanted to stop.
whenever you had met him, all thoughts of flawlessness flew out of the window and he wanted you to be his. it was as if he was a child again whenever he first saw you, telling himself that you were not anyone's but his. his stares turning possessive if anyone but himself glanced at you.
he even acted like a child behind closed doors, rambling on about you like a trophy on the self to his own husband. levi was his as well, and vice versa, but now he had a childish and insatiable desire to share. share something with his beloved, something that belonged to them both, entirely.
for the second time, he found himself wanting to break his past out from the glass case he kept in locked behind.
and the way you're looking at him now, doe eyes staring up at him like a deer in headlights, he wants to abolish the idea of perfection altogether. he gets stupider with each passing moment, admitting to you that both him and levi adore and love you with their whole hearts.
but he thinks he's even more stupider whenever he ignores your pleading stare whenever he asks archie to watch over you while levi and him leave.
you tug on erwin's shirt whenever he kisses you sweetly as a goodbye, a silent demand.
"be quiet," he grumbles into your ear, large hands squeezing your hips. his thumbs press onto old bruises and you squeak in pain.
you watch him and levi leave through the front door, dread seeping throughout your pores. the closes, the automatic lock turns and clicks into place, and you feel eyes on the back of your neck immediately.
“i don’t believe we’ve been introduced yet, not formally anyhow,” you can hear how smug he is in his voice, it all makes you nervous and you feel sick to your stomach, “i’m archie.”
staying still, you croak, “i’m… i’m (name).”
you flinch whenever his large hand comes to rest on his shoulder, warmth tingling throughout your shoulder. he manhandles you to face towards him, a twisted smile spreading on his face whenever you squirm and yelp.
“didn’t your parents ever teach you it’s rude not to look at someone when they speak? better yet, did levi and erwin not teach you well enough,” his nails dig into your clothing and he’s squeezing so hard it’s almost like he’s ripped your shirt.
“t-they taught me just fine,” your actions contradict your statement, eyes darting down to the floor.
“not well enough it seems,” he hums in disapprobation, fingers grabbing at your jaw and shaking your head, “maybe i should teach you something.”
“n-no,” you squeeze your eyes shut to avoid his malicious stare, “no, thank you. i’m good.”
his fingers squeeze harder, sharp pain starting to tingle throughout your cheeks and neck.
“you say that but you’re not even doing what i got on to you about,” his nails dig into your face and he sucks in his cheeks.
“what are you doing,” you grip at his wrist, trying desperately to pull his hand away, “please let go of me.”
he spits directly on your face, laughing mockingly at how your whole face scrunches up and your body goes slack. you reach up and wipe it away, grumbling at him in anger and frustration.
“what’d you say,” he jerks your face forwards, your eyes snapping open.
“i said that you’re a dick,” you snarl, “i haven’t done a damn thing to you, haven’t even said a single thing. and you’re here lecturing me about bullshit and spitting your rancid spit into my face!”
it’s the first time you’ve spoken from your mind—no, your heart—in a while, not without thinking. it felt good, pride swelled up in your chest and if you were a peacock then your feathers would be puffed.
but when you realize archie isn’t speaking, that’s when the horror settles in. slugs call around in your stomach and your palms are sweating now.
with practiced ease, archie throws you onto the ground with an angry shout.
“you’re in fucking trouble now, girl,” he laughs, squatting down and hovering over you, “you know, before erwin and levi left, they told me something. wanna know what they told me?”
“unless it was to shove your fist up your own ass, then no, i don’t want to hear it,” your voice shakes along with your fists while trying to remain strong, but everything hurts.
“well, you better listen up because they told me i could beat you and punish you however i like if i see it necessary,” his smile is demented, spread from ear to ear and showing off the pearly white teeth he has.
fear and anxiety is fully settled in now, of course they’d still punish you, even if they weren’t home. anything to control you, anything.
you feel as if your body is on pause, frozen in terror and the only thing in you making noise is your heart.
but suddenly, it’s like someone had pressed ‘play’ when archie’s foot connects to your jaw. it knocks your head against the floor, almost like he’s trying to a get a combo from a video game. you only manage to reach your arms up in defense, but it doesn’t serve much because archie slams your arms back into your face with his foot.
he’s laughing whenever he watches you struggle to sit up, to even look at him, so he does you a favor by yanking on your hair.
“i’m sorry,” you hiss, pathetically. you had taken a leap of courage and it had come back to bite you in the ass.
“i don’t care,” he scowls, “i need something to take my anger out on—and you’re perfect for the job!”
you struggle against his hold, scratching at the hand tangled in your hair. he only socks you in the nose in response, blood immediately gushing from the wound.
“stop—,” you grunt, “you fuck—in’ prick!”
archie throws you back down with your own hair, all you can manage to do is close your eyes and listen to his ranting.
“you’re so perfect to abuse—i mean, levi and erwin have already done the hard stuff! they made your body weak, weaker than before the beatings due to the starving, the beatings, the manipulation! god—it’s like they’re experts,” he laughs in astonishment, “they’ve beaten you so hard that you can’t even fight back, not like you would have before getting beat.”
crying, you peek open an—already—bruising eye. his cheeks are flushed and his previously combed hair is in disarray.
in this moment, you prayed that erwin and levi would come home soon. just this once.
[——]
you wake up to a door slamming shut, the noise rocking your body rigid. you hear stomping, it’s getting closer, and you’re so scared that you’ve yet to realize you’re back in your room. in your bed.
you claw your nails into the frilly blanket in anticipation, the doorknob begins to rattle and the door begins to creak. you curl further into yourself and seal your eyes shut, someone’s now inside the room.
a large, familiar, hand rests itself on your arm, squeezing the fat gently.
“i know you’re awake,” it’s erwin, and he sounds disappointed.
swallowing, you say, “did you need something?”
“i heard you got in trouble with archie,” his hand tightens around his arm with his voice dropping, “what i need are answers.”
“w…what do you mean,” he throws you onto your back, fury in his icy blue eyes.
“what did you do,” he grits out through his teeth, “what did you say?”
you open your mouth to answer, but erwin’s hands creeping to your neck makes you pause.
“you’re usually so good for us,” his thumbs press on your trachea, “what changed? what happened?”
you audibly choke, smaller hands clasping at erwin’s humongous ones, “scratch that—you’re barely ever good for us. we have to beat everything into you.”
tears poke out of the corner of your eyes, spit gurgling in your throat. he squeezes harder and pushes you further into the mattress.
“why can’t you EVER be good? you always have to cause trouble for us—for me, for levi—when all we’re trying to do is love you,” black spots prickle in your vision as your struggling becomes weaker.
“pl—ease,” you cry, eyes rolling back into your head, ears popping.
his nails start to dig into you, “can’t you see how much we love you? we provide you with everything and anything. if you ask for it, we get it.”
“erwin,” you gasp, “please…!”
“but you’re so ungrateful! declining each of our affections, even whenever you’re in NO place to be doing so.”
your vision is starting to go black, for the second time that day, but it’s stopped abruptly. you barely comprehend was going on around you, gasping and choking on air that it hurts your head.
“what the fuck are you doing?!” hands help you up, “you could’ve killed her!!”
your vision is blurry and your hands are wandering, latching onto somebody’s hand.
“oh my god,” you hear erwin rasp, “i’m so—i didn’t even realize—!”
“yeah, i’m sure she gets that,” the other person is levi, who’s surprisingly angry at erwin, and not you.
“levi—please, i-i’m sorry,” he sighs, hands reaching for you, looking to cradle.
“no,” you cough, hysterically shuffling further into the arms of levi, “don’t you dare—!”
you sob and go to cover your ears, only receiving comfort in the form of back rubbing. the roles have reversed for erwin and levi, something that hadn’t ever crossed your mind.
“erwin,” levi sighs, “leave—she’s too wound up to hear you grovel.”
you ignore the hurt look on his face and grasp onto levi in comfort, hiding your face into his chest and crying. you stay there even after you hear erwin leave, shuttering in levi’s arms like a leaf.
“god, what is his deal,” he grumbles to not only himself, but you too, “he was supposed to ask what happened, not attempt to murder you.”
levi’s arms around you are stiff, but comforting nonetheless.
“since he’s acting like a child who can’t his anger, i’ll ask you; what happened?”
you wail, “i can’t remember—something about attitude! pl-please, just don’t hurt me!! no more!!”
“i won’t,” he knows he’s lying, “not now, anyways. just calm down.”
you hug levi tighter and he can feel his shirt getting damp with your tears. to say he’s envied erwin for your affections was a mistake, he’d give anything to not have you crying on him.
“it’s okay,” he says, forcing himself to relax, “erwin’s just acting like a child.”

1/? At first I didn’t wanted to give SkamIt a chance because of the Sana thing and the way too obvious trailer, but I watched the last episode and I really liked it. I think that all characters fit very well and because of the nudity they already showed, I kinda unterstand why they couldn’t cast actual teenagers. The last episode gave me some serious OG vibes. I like the girl gang so much and ItWilliam and ItChris just fit perfectly. I like Eva way more than I do Hanna.
2/? As a German watcher, I‘m still unsure about Druck. The soundtrack is amazing, but I don’t ‘feel’ the acting of Hanna and male Sam. The clips are also way too short. However, Sam, Amira, Jonas and Mia are my favourites. Skamfr is a well done copy, but I only care about Manon, Daphne and Charles. So, my favourite is SkamIt, because it stays true to the OG but has made several changes that fit well into Italian culture.
3/3 Of course it still bothers my that they didn’t cast a Muslim girl for Sana, but the actress is doing a pretty good job though (still no excuse). Despite all I have said this far, I think that it shouldn’t matter what all of us think about the remakes as long as the viewers from the specific countries and Julie are happy.
my problem with skamit isn’t that the actors aren’t teenagers, my problem is that they casted someone who wasn’t muslim to play a muslim. i’m pretty sure that the actors in the original weren’t all minors during filming, either.
i do get what you mean about each remake not being made for the fans of the original, but rather the teenagers in each specific country, but i don’t think that should stop us from criticizing the decisions made. it does matter because people are being underrepresented and identities are being lost, and since skam is a show with an adolescent target audience, identity and representation is crucial. i don’t think it’s fair for muslim actresses to have a potential job taken away from them (when it’s already difficult to find jobs for them, anyway), nor do i think it’s fair for the italian muslim teenagers that have to watch a version of themselves be diluted by someone who doesn’t understand what it’s like to be muslim or a hijabi in both italy and the world today.
once again, i’m not saying it’s wrong that you’re watching and appreciating the show. you have the right to enjoy it, just like i have the right to criticize it. i’m only saying that as fans, i think we have the responsibility to call out these types of things when they occur so as to not let it happen again.

YOU lay on the floor of your closet once again, the scratchy carpet being the only thing that provided you with warmth. the only person you'd seen for the past few days was erwin. anytime he'd even mention levi, you'd beg for him not to see you.
you groan quietly, deciding to go lay in your bed for a while so your skin won't keep itching. your foot chills when it touches the hardwood floor of your room, and it distracts you from the task at hand.
you're dizzy now, only being able to focus on your foot. it didn't help much since you collapsed onto your side, breathing heavily through your nose as you stare blankly to the wall. you haven't stood up for hours, opting to leave the closet only to go to the restroom.
you blink while getting back onto your feet, hand pressed against your head as if you were soothing it. you decide to go to the bathroom, if you go now that means you won't have to go later.
you watch your hands afterwards, tired eyes watching your reflection in the crystal clear mirror.
your face was bruised, you have a black eye and a deep cut on your cheek from levi's wedding band.
you look back down to your hands, wanting to focus on something else in order to soothe yourself. you don't bother to dry your hands off with a towel, opting to shaking them around in the air.
your feet drag against the floor as you jump into your bed, body smoothly sliding across it so your head rests against a pillow. you curl up under the covers, genuine warmth crashing against your body for the first time in days. it's almost overwhelming, but you can't find it in yourself to care.
you watch a movie to help pass the first hour and a half of you being outside of the closet. you play another movie for background noise, getting off of your bed and walking to the bookshelf.
you grab a black book with white font, grabbing a smaller blanket and throwing it over your lap once you sit in a chair.
you’re going to read some of this book and then retreat back to your safe space whenever they come to feed you.
even though you’re reading the story, you can barely comprehend the words along with the plot line. everything seems to be a jumbled mess inside of your mind, so much that it makes your head hurt right behind your eyes. time stretches longer than you meant for it to as you keep rereading all the sentences, hoping to gain at least a tiny bit of understanding.
you’re attention is taken away by the sound of the door opening and closing. you’d been so focused you hadn’t even noticed that someone was coming to see you. and not only was it someone, it was levi.
the book falls out of your hands and onto the floor, eyes wide as you stare at levi with fear.
he’s holding your tray of food for lunch, which you don’t think you’ll be eating today since it’s not erwin who’s going to feed you.
levi tries not to get irritated at the way your body is trembling. he hasn’t even said a single word and you’re already cowering.
when levi steps closer, you jump out of the chair and into the corner furthest from him. you cry out for erwin, for help, anyone that will be able to take levi away from you.
it startles levi for a moment, but it’s soon replaced with frustration as he makes another step.
you scream while tears gush out of your eyes, nailing planting onto the wall you’re up against. levi angrily puts the tray of food down onto your windowsill, metal and glass clinking against one another in unsynchronized harmony.
for whatever reason, it has you screeching with you dropping to the floor and cover your head with your arms. levi’s worried and goes to make a move towards you, but you’re too frightened to think.
your screeching has his head pounding, so much that he’s silently praying that erwin would just come in already.
“i’m—i’m trying to fucking help!” he barks at you, stomping his foot onto the hardwood flooring.
you jump once more, protecting yourself more than before.
levi goes to scream again, but he’s interrupted by the door to your room slamming open.
erwin’s there, half dressed and messy hair while his eyes frantically scan the area. his eyes widen at the sight of your cowering, quickly rushing over to you to sit in front of you.
“what happened,” he asks levi while cautiously pressing a hand to your knee.
“i just walked in and she just went batshit,” levi says with exasperation, confusion and anger flashing on his face.
“get out. you scare her,” he orders with furrowed brows, stroking the skin of your kneecap with his thumb.
levi scoffs but listens anyways, shutting the door behind him.
“my love, everything’s okay. it’s just us now,” he murmurs sweetly, managing to coax you out of your panicked state just a bit.
“us? j... just us,” your voice is shaky as your hand absentmindedly reaches out for erwin.
“yes, just us,” he confirms with a smile, managing to gather you in his large arms.
you continue to cry, only this time you can breathe.
“can’t be with ‘im... i’m scared,” you admit while attaching yourself to erwin, “so scared.”
shushing you, he coos, “you can, i believe in you.”
wrong choice.
“no! no! NO,” you start to trash in his arms, once again entering the almost inconsolable mind state.
since he wasn’t expecting your panicked reactions, you manage to kick him in the chest and push him away. his body bangs against the stool of your vanity, knocking it onto his side with a loud crash.
levi runs back inside, watching how you jump to your feet and over to your vanity. erwin manages to scoot further away from you, slightly unsure of your next move.
you’re sobbing uncontrollably as you slam your fast into your vanity’s mirror. it’s so clean, not a smudge on it. not even a speck of lint. it’s perfect.
the shards cut your hand, but you don’t care, too high on adrenaline. levi and erwin go to disarm you just as you manage to grasp a particularly large and sharp shard of glass.
the moment it’s in your hand, you raise your opposite wrist to the glass while screaming at the two men.
“NOT ANOTHER STEP,” you cry as you push the glass against your skin, freezing both levi and erwin, “not another fucking step or i kill myself with this shard right fucking here.”
“(name), my love, it’s alright! it’s okay! no one’s going to hurt you,” erwin barely moves an inch while he pleads, but you don’t care.
“I SAID NOT ANOTHER STEP!!” you roar while slicing the glass against your skin, blood immediately pouring from the new wound.
dark red paints the glass as your finger swipes against the blood by accident.
“get out,” you whimper, “just leave me alone to die, please.”
“we can’t do that,” levi says calmly, accidentally taking a step out of instinct.
it feels comparable to flour whenever the blade slices through your pretty skin. it burns and you know that you might end up having to get stitches from just how deep it is if you want to live. and considering you can only really get stitches from hospitals, you say your goodbyes in your head.
“if you can’t do that,” your vision is starting to grow hazy as your breath comes out ragged, “then, i’ll just kill myself right here, knife at the vein.”
this is the only way you’ll be free again. the only way you’ll be away from them. the only way you’ll probably ever get to see your friends again.
your hope has dwindled into nothing. you know you cannot get away, not in a million years. now, there’s only one way to escape. death.
and by god if you let one of them slaughter you.
and so, you slash your arm once more right against the vein. blood oozes from the wound with ease while your eyes roll back and your knees hit the floor. the last thing you see is erwin and levi running towards you with panicked looks on their faces. it almost makes you laugh.
you hope to see them in hell.

RAINDROPS pelted against the glass of the window gently, the sound echoing throughout the quiet room that is your bedroom.
today, levi had decided he would just spend his time with you in the comfort of your own room, holding you in his arms while he lazed the day away.
you, on the other hand, were having none of it. and by none of it, i mean cuddling. it wasn't that you didn't want to cuddle with levi, in fact, you enjoyed a lot! but, the rain outside your window was far more important in your eyes.
there was nothing exactly specific about the rain that entrapped your attention, just that it had been so long since you'd been in it. so long since you've been outside even.
but you'd never ask to go outside, the answer was already plastered onto an invisible wall inside of your head. so instead, you'd just look whenever you would get the chance.
and it didn't go unnoticed, it was actually quite obvious. you didn't care however, it's not as if erwin or levi were going to change their mind, so why worry at all?
but seeing the way your eyes sparkle at the sight of the rain gather in puddles outside, levi felt himself being convinced.
he huffs annoyedly, he just wanted to spend the day in your arms until erwin was home. he wishes it didn't rain. but even so, he begrudgingly gets to his feet and trudges to you. you look at him with a smile, hand reaching up to point at something that only you could probably see.
"we're gonna go outside for a bit, sick of watching your desperate face," he puts his hands in his pockets while staring at your widened eyes.
you stare at him for a minute, slightly creeping him out, before you even really react. you swing your arms around his neck and thank him profusely, a wide smile spread from ear to ear whenever you pull away from him.
"you're not going out in your nightgown though," he points to the silk white nightgown that ends at your bruised knees.
you follow behind him happily whenever he walks into your closet, shuffling through the different clothes he's bought you.
"you're not wearing light colors, it's too muddy outside, and if you were to get stains on you, they'd ruined beyond repair," he mutters, grabbing a black button up with bishop sleeves.
he hands it to you, gently taking your hand to lead you out of the closet and towards your dresser than held your clothes. he settles on a forest green skirt that ends just a few inches above your ankles, and then he grabs a bra for you.
"strip," you don't complain, only heat up and oblige.
his back is turned whenever he flings a black bra at you, obviously avoiding the sight of your body to help you maintain your decency. even if he did bathe you sometimes.
you hurriedly slip the bra on and levi finally decides to look at you again. he helps you button up your shirt along with the cuffs, nagging at you quietly as a husband would do for their wife. he lets you step inside the skirt on your own, which has you coming to the realization that there are built in pants that separate the air from your panties.
levi scoffs at your untucked shirt, tucking it into your skirt with fondness dripping from him. he sits you onto the stool of your vanity, which no longer has a mirror, and sighs. he picked up a brush, running it carefully through your hair to avoid any tangles that would tug at your head.
when he feels you're decent enough, he holds a cold hand out for you to take into his own. you accept it with glee, skipping behind him when he guides you through his estate and to the back door that leads to his garden.
"i need you all to clean up that table in the center. put those big umbrellas under it and dry it off with towels. then leave towels by the umbrella so i can wipe it down if it gets wet again. make us a light lunch, nothing too big but definitely not small. (name) and i are going to walk around the garden together until you all are finished or until we're ready to eat," levi's so quick with his words that it has you reeling with confusion, but his workers seem just fine with his speed and are already starting to complete the task given to them.
he holds a smaller umbrella in one hand and your hand in the other, opening it above the two of you as you step outside the door. your shoes click against the stone walkway just as thunder booms in the sky. you flinch and chuckle, pulling your hand away from levi to link arms with him.
he guides you along the garden, only explaining certain things if you had questions. the silence mixed with the light pitter patter of the rain soothes him, heavy eyes fluttering sleepily.
he's immediately awake whenever you squeal excitedly.
there was a marble statue of the goddess, themis. her scales were elegantly balanced between her fingers while her blindfold hung loosely around her eyes, other hand on the hilt of her sword that pointed to the ground.
"that was a reward for erwin at his office. i make sure to clean it myself every once and a while," you look to him, admiration mixed with confusion displayed on your face as you contemplated the meanings behind not only the goddess, but her statue as well.
you decide to keep quiet, slightly tugging levi to come closer to the statue so you can examine it more closely.
your eyes are shining whenever levi looks at you, and he feels like you're the sunshine in the midst of this pouring rain.
he looks down at his shoes silently, brushing away his cheesy and sappy thoughts. he feels stupid. not once had he felt this way towards anyone besides tall blonde men with blue eyes, but now he was feeling this way towards a woman. to say he was confused was only scratching at the surface.
he knew he'd liked you when he met you. you were quick witted, outgoing, and kind-hearted, not to mention gorgeous. but it's not like he wasn't sexually attracted to women at the time, he definitely was. he had never just felt romantically for women, not once in the entirety of his pitiful life.
but you're so docile and levi likes that. he not only likes it, he cherishes it.
for now, he'll entertain the thought that he might be bisexual, pansexual, whatever title makes him feel comfortable. if he can fall for you, then there's a chance he can fall for other girls.
levi hasn't even realized he's zoned out until you whine at him. you're lightly tugging on his hand to venture further into the garden, and levi's heart swells. you had an opportunity to leave, whether you even knew it or not, yet you chose to stay and wait for him. you had even snapped him out of it.
he lets out a huff before he stares to guide you around the garden again. he can't wait to take a nap after this.
"are you ready to eat yet," he grumbles, tugging on your hand to get you to stop walking.
"is there anything else left to see?"
"nothing that will look good in this weather," he scoffs.
"then, yes, i'm ready," and with that, he's leading you to the table his workers had been ordered to set up.
when you two arrive, you realize that the table was sat under a white hexagonal kiosko that had vines and flowers wrapping around the support beams. the table was covered from the rain, confusion clacking your brain at why levi asked for a big umbrella.
he seems pleased at seeing the table though.
"how long did it take for petra to realize," levi asks whenever he helps you sit down.
"not very long," the man said, and you recognize him from that day in bath with erwin.
you stiffen at the eye contact, looking down at the table and the empty plates that sit upon them. you feel his stare linger on you and your body, specifically your curves that were hidden underneath the button up shirt levi put on you. this kid gave you the creeps.
"i'll be back with the food," he says and walks behind your chair, fingers brushing against the back of your neck.
you swallow down your disgust, looking to levi to start a conversation.
"levi, wh... what's that boy's name?"
eyebrow raised, he responds, "his name's archie. why do you ask?"
"no reason. i think i've seen him around the house before," you shrug and idly play with the silverware on the table.
levi doesn't believe you, but the day has been too good for him to ruin now. you both talk sparingly while waiting for archie to come back, mostly talking about the new tv show you got levi to start watching and what he thinks about it.
the two of you turn your heads when you hear the sound of footsteps. you see erwin with archie following behind him with a tray of three plates, erwin holding an umbrella over the two of them. a soft smile sets on levi's face when he sees him.
"what are you doing home," you smile whenever he steps under the roof of the kiosko closes the umbrella.
"i was thinking of you two all day. it got so bad that i called a client by your guys' names," he chuckles, leaning down to give you a kiss on your head.
he does the same to levi while you giggle at his sentence. he sits down in an unoccupied chair, hand laying itself on your thigh.
"you can't just keep taking off, erwin," despite the slightly bitter sentence, levi's face is content.
archie places the plates in front of erwin and levi in silence, then to you. his arm brushes your own, and you can't help but get that weird feeling in your tummy again.
"thank you," you say to him quietly, flipping the fork between your fingers.
he just hums in response and walk away from the three of you again, sly smirk on his face. you ignore him, starting to eat the grilled chicken salad with slight confusion.
it had been over three months since you'd even had a fork in your hands. the feeling felt foreign and it felt as if all memory of how to eat with a fork washed away. the realization made your stomach ache, a dreadful look in your eyes spreading across your body. you swallowed down the huge ball that brews in your throat, hands trembling.
erwin and levi stare with pride swelling in their chests while tears swell in your eyes.
since when had you become so dependent? were you not just taking care of pieck and her cat when she was sick months ago?
you take a deep breath, adjusting the fork to make it comfortable in your hand. you try your best to eat with loose muscles, but the stiffness in your bones have practically turned you into wood.
erwin turns to you, sickeningly sweet smile on his face, taking the fork out of your hand and gathering food for you. he feeds you, just as he has done before, fingers gently touching your jaw as if he guided your chewing.
a warmth fills the ball in your chest, and deep down inside it makes you sick. you chew slowly and listen to levi and erwin's conversation, which consists of erwin's workday and how you've refused to cuddle with levi this morning.
————
you lay on the living room couch with your head in erwin's lap and feet in levi's. a crime documentary plays on the television, something erwin seemed excited about. he looked too cute to deny.
erwin's fingers run through the locks of your hair lovingly, only ever pulling them out if they start to tangle. levi's watching the documentary with a bored look on his face, thumb rubbing random patterns into your ankle. you're not exactly paying attention to the documentary, only zoning in whenever erwin points something out or whenever levi lets out a scoff.
you start to sit up and stretch, the urge of going to the bathroom taking over you.
you feel embarrassed whenever you ask, "can i go to the bathroom?"
"yeah, just go to the one in your quarters," levi's answer is immediate. he really must not like the documentary.
you pad over to the bathroom, listening to the pitter pattering of your bare feet against the dark hardwood floor. you walk into the opened door of your quarter, yawning obnoxiously and throwing your arms into the air. maybe you should've cuddled with levi this morning.
you go to the bathroom quickly, the thundering of the sky making you nervous. it would've been different if levi or erwin were with you.
you start to walk back to the living room, eyes focused on the flickering light that illuminates the large hallway. a particular loud clash of lightning and clap of thunder has you jumping into the air, house barely rumbling.
your body crashes into a chest, which you immediately grab onto, instinctively. you start to apologize to the person, obviously thinking that it was erwin judging by the height and broadness of the chest.
but when you look up, you're looking at the emerald green eyes that belong to archie. your words get caught in your throat and you feel yourself pale.
"i-i'm sorry," you stutter, immediately backing away only to come to the realization that you're already a few feet from the door to go back into the living room.
if you crashed into him, that means he was walking towards you. but the only thing ahead of the two of you would be—
would be your room.
dread drenches you, head to toe, sweat forming on your forehead as the room starts to feel a little bit fuzzy.
"wh-why were you in my room," you struggle to even get the first syllable out.
"levi wanted me to check for something in there," he shrugs nonchalantly, but you're not convinced.
you smile shakily and nod, rushing to the living room to get away from him. you try to think positive even after all the staring and subtle touches.
but it still leaves a pit in your stomach.

LEVI ackerman knew he wasn't a good person. he knew from the moment he watched his uncle slaughter a man in front of him at the age of eight.
levi knew the moment he killed a man for theft. he knew the moment people would cower before him in highschool when he'd walk through the halls. he knew the moment he was sucking the smoke from a cigarette into his mouth.
he knew the moment he found himself fighting police officers. he knew the moment he was pushed against the hood of a car with his hands cuffed behind his back.
he knew the moment when erwin smith sat down in front of him with no emotion written on his face. the moment when erwin said he knew levi had done it, but he would be defending him either way. the moment when levi disobeyed the oath as he spat out his testimony. the moment the gavel was slammed down along with the verdict of 'not guilty'. the moment he stepped into the sunshine, erwin's hand in his, for the first time in months, knowing damn well he didn't deserve it.
but levi didn't care, he never did. the world he was born into was cruel. he had to fight for his place at the top, for his food, for his clothes, for everything. if no one cared about him, then why should he care for others.
but as he stares down at you trembling from fear on the floor, he can't help but think that he's incorrect.
"please don't hurt me again," you plead in a whisper, tilting your head to the floor.
levi only sighs, walking in and shutting the door behind him. he crouches in front of you, hand now awkwardly stroking your head.
"what happened," he asks, and it's something that comes as a shock to you. you were slightly prepared for a beating.
you snap your head up to look at him in shock.
"what have you got in your hands," he points at the scrapbook held to your chest.
"oh!" you fumble to show him, "i saw this earlier... i wanted to look but i didn't think you'd allowed me. i'm sorry, please don't hurt me."
"i would've let you, i barely look at this thing anymore. can you tell me what happened now," he scoffs at the front cover of the scrapbook.
"when i was going to put it back, a book on the shelf fell. then another book on the top shelf fell off, so i used the lower shelves as a ladder. as you can see, it didn't work," you look ashamed while you gesturing towards the shelf.
he just huffs, "go sit on the couch. we can look through that book after i clean."
you obey and watch levi heft the bookshelf back onto its legs. his fists clench as he looks down at the pile of books surrounding his feet.
hastily, levi's picking up the books by the color and placing them back onto the shelf. when he's finished, he takes a step back to look at it. he's unsatisfied, instead more frustrated as he starts to take all of the books off of the second bookshelf he has.
but in the middle of taking the books off the shelf, he twitches and taps the book against the wood five times. he's putting the books back onto the shelf, going back to the other bookshelf and taking all the books off of that.
you stare in absolute bewilderment. the shelves had looked perfect and identical to you, not to mention clean. as he's in the midst of taking the books off the shelf, he taps the book against the wood again.
and with that, he's placing it all back onto the shelf again. he sighs in relief after he's checked everything, finally trotting to you and plopping down next to you on the loveseat.
nervously, you scoot closer to him in order for you both to be able to see the scrapbook. he watches you flip it open past his baby picture, instead turning to the page that showed his mother feeding him.
"that's my mom, kuchel," he gently rubs his finger on the photograph, "think i was around a year at this point."
humming, you flip to the next page. when you realize it's the picture of levi at his mother's funeral, you try to flip the page but levi stops you.
a sigh, he explains, "my mother always had a very weak immune system, according to my uncle. because of where we lived, we both ended up getting deathly ill and we were too weak to get any help. i had to watch her die and wait for someone to come check up on us."
"i'm assuming it was your uncle," you tilt your head.
"it was. he took me in afterwards, gave me food and a shower. he even taught me how to hold a knife and how to fight for future reference. he had some work to do while i would fight for food."
you point to the one of levi standing in front of a building. to which he replies with, "first day of kindergarten. my mother was still alive back then so she decided to take the picture."
he turns the page for you, a relieved look in his eyes at he stares at the next photograph. it's a picture of levi, in high school, wearing a tux while standing next to another man with a bubbly girl holding onto levi as she holds up a peace sign.
the boy, who's also wearing a tux, has ice blue eyes and wavy dirty blonde hair that obviously hasn't been styled. he's got a gentle smile on his face while he looks at both the girl and levi, someone who levi was obviously fond of.
the girl has dark red hair in low and loose ponytails with freckles painting her tan cheeks. her eyes shine an emerald green along with her pearly white teeth.
"that's... isabel and farlan. met them in 8th grade, and we were at junior prom in this. farlan took me as his date while isabel went stag. i'm glad i still have this picture."
you resist the urge to fight back the joke of his type in men, instead asking, "are you not friends anymore?"
levi stays quiet for a moment, "they died in a horrible car crash a month later. some asshole decided to drink and drive while driving a semi. rear ended them at 45 miles per hour and killed them on impact. isabel was slouching in her seat and farlan was hunched over the wheel apparently. it was gruesome."
"i.... i'm so sorry," you reluctantly touch his arm.
he waves his free hand up and down in dismissal, despite hurt he actually was, "it's fine. happened years ago."
he turns the next page in order to distract himself from the sheer awkwardness that bathes the room. the next picture is of him, around the age of 24, standing in the sunlight while he smiles softly to the sky.
"erwin was my attorney, before he became a prosecutor, when i went to jail. he proved me not guilty and this was the picture he managed to take of me right after we left the courthouse. it was the first time i'd seen the sun without handcuffs on in months," he huffs with slight annoyance at the memory, something that surprises you just a bit.
"why'd you get arrested?"
"nothing you need to worry about," telling you would only make you fear him more. and that would be a pain to deal with.
the next page after is blank, along with the rest that follow.
"i stopped because i thought it was stupid," he crosses his arms, nudging the back of the scrapbook with his knee.
"i don't think it's stupid," you shake your head, fingertips gently tracing the grainy and textured paper.
"why's that?"
"well," you smile a bit while your mind wonders to the scrapbook pieck made you one year for your birthday, "it shows you the good memories that you might've missed as the time passed. reminds you that there's something in every little small day. it helps you keep the memory alive, even if some of it is upsetting, and i think it shows how much you've changed as a person."
levi stares at you, slightly flustered at your words as you relook at the photographs with gentle hands.
he stands up, "i just remembered the tea." ah, a sound excuse. if only levi had made tea.
you watch as he seems to rush out of the room, something you shrug off while gently putting the scrapbook on levi's desk and laying back down on the couch. you play another movie on the television that hangs on the wall, perking up when levi walks back into the room with a tray. it holds finger sandwiches and some lettuce mixed with some fruit in a small bowl along with tea. cracked sunflower seeds sit on a small plate on the side, and you feel yourself droll when you realize at there's cheese, lettuce, and ham on your sandwich.
levi places it on your lap, simply nodding at your kind, "thank you, levi."
he doesn't answer and just goes back to his desk, while you chew quietly.
it stays that way until erwin comes home.
————
it isn't until your eyes are fluttering open that you realize you've fallen asleep. you flinch at the sight of erwin's face close to your's, but slowly relax when he pulls away.
"i'm sorry, i didn't think my kiss would wake you," he places a loving hand on your head.
"'s fine, probably needed to get up anyway," you reply groggily while rubbing an eye, "how long have i been asleep for?"
"levi said since a little bit after lunch. it's only three o'clock at the moment," he sits on the edge of the couch, smiling at how you shuffle to accommodate him.
"sandwiches must've been tasty.... did you just get off work," you sigh and snuggle up under the thin blanket that's been laid on top of you while you were sleeping.
erwin lays his large hand on your cheek, which has you tense for just a moment and then relaxing.
"i got off a little while ago but i needed to run errands," a thumb strokes at the apple of your cheek, something that you disgustingly find comfort in.
"where did levi go?"
"went to make himself some tea," he chuckles with a shake of his head, "he claimed that he felt withdrawals."
you shake your head while laughing, "i doubt he said that. how was work?"
"i guess i can say it was adequate. i missed you and levi the whole day, but would often get distracted by my clients and their necessities. i'm dealing with a kidnapping case at the moment. a girl around your age named ymir was recently found by her girlfriend, historia. i can't say anything more," he pulls his hand away from you and uses it to pinch the bridge of his nose.
you feel yourself get the chills.
he's.... working on a kidnapping case.
he's prosecuting.... a kidnapper.
he's punishing someone who's doing the same thing as him. someone who took away a girl and kept her trapped for months. god knows what the man did to the girl.
and here you are, letting erwin hold your cheek and looking through an old photo album with levi.
you feel sick to your stomach, shooting up while slapping a hand to your mouth and grabbing at her's shirt.
"i'm gonna throw up," you barely are able to speak without the feeling of your food coming out of your stomach.
startled, erwin stares, "what?"
"can... need a can," you gag and lean over the edge of the couch.
erwin gets up when he realizes just what it is you're asking for, rushing across the room only for you to spill your guts out onto the floor.
it's been forever since you've thrown up, minus when levi kicked your stomach, and it has your whole body shaking. the intensity of it all has your nose dripping with blood and tears falling from your eyes, forcing you to seal your eyes closed.
"what happened here," levi sounds scared as he stands in the doorway, but before erwin can even finish his sentence levi is slamming the door behind him while he storms out.
erwin sighs with frustration, helping you scoot down the couch so he can place the trash can in front of you without the bottom being dirtied. with shaky hands, erwin's pulling all of your hair out of your face while you sob and gag into the trash.
it's ten more minutes before you're able to lay back down. blood and tears stain your face and you dazedly stare up at the ceiling.
"i'll be back with a towel and some water, levi will be back soon with an avalanche of cleaning products," erwin reassurances while he stumbles out of the door.
just as erwin leaves, levi enters. he's got a mask that covers his nose and mouth and rubber gloves that match with his cleaning apron. he's carrying a sponge, some spray, a towel, a broom/dustpan, along with some breath mints.
levi squats on all fours, scrubbing at the floor aggressively as he rides the room of the stench and the stain.
"s... sorry," you croak and levi grimaces.
he ignores you in order to keep scrubbing at the floor just as erwin rushes in with a warm towel and some water. he wipes off your blood, tears, and the mouth to rid you of your vomit. you look at him dazedly as he helps you drink the water he's given you.
levi passes a few breath mints to you when you're done drinking the water, which you eagerly take. you plop them into your mouth, sighing as you rest back against the couch cushions.
"take her to her room," levi orders erwin while spraying the spray onto the floor and couch.
erwin does so in silence, carefully carrying you to your room and laying you on the bed.
"levi won't hurt me will he...? please tell me he won't," you grit your teeth while holding onto erwin's shirt sleeve, tears welling up in your eyes.
"no, he won't. he's just scared," erwin grabs the hand on his sleeve and holds it in his own.
"of what?"
"uncleanliness. a while after he started living with me, i took him to a psychiatrist as i had noticed strange behaviors. he ended up getting diagnosed with ocd, and the psychiatrist thought it had to do with his upbringing in poverty. if things aren't a certain way or clean enough, it causes him to spiral," erwin explains carefully, trying to find the correct words and meanings as he speaks.
"doesn't that... give him more of a reason to hurt me...?" you squeeze his hand tightly and pulling it closer to you in fear.
"it doesn't. why are you insistent at how levi might hurt you," he bunches his eyebrows up in concern while scooting closer to you.
"he's done it so many times before... remember? if i say the wrong thing... i'll get slapped. if i make a mistake, he'll beat me.. i just don't want to hurt anymore," you sob hysterically, bringing your free hand up to your face to cover your eyes.
erwin stares in bewilderment. he hadn't realized just how much levi's beatings effected you. of course, they were supposed to affect you in some way, but not enough where you were terrified of making a wrong move.
"he won't hurt you unless you've deserved it, and you've done nothing in a while. he loves you," erwin stroked his thumb across your skin.
you raise your hand from your eyes to stare at him, heat swarming your face, "he does? he doesn't act like it.."
"of course he loves you," erwin smiles, "i love you as well. we'd never hurt you unless given a reason."
something about his sentence makes your head throb in pain. maybe it was the secret confusion that lingered in your head. they said they loved you, even though they kidnapped you and beat you half to death. but then again, they did provide you with things you'd mentioned to them before in order to keep you happy. they even bought a grand piano for you.
it has your heart speeding up and your body hot, bashfully looking to the side.
you loved them back didn't you? they'd treated you with such care, hadn't they? bathing you, feeding you, dressing you, and even visiting you. anytime they were around you, your heart would speed up and you'd get a weird feeling in your stomach.
that meant love, did it not?
subconsciously, you furrow your eyes and grit your teeth. they didn't love you. they were just crazy.
well, maybe they weren't crazy, maybe just misled. you've yet to learn about erwin's past, but based on the way he acts, you assume that it might be a sensitive topic. that had to be the only logical solution, right?
but if they weren't crazy, they'd let you outside, right?
but then again, the outside world could be dangerous at times. when you went outside last time, you did get scuffed and bruised because of the concrete. maybe they just wanted to protect you? that had to be it.
you open your mouth to reply, but the sound of your door opening and closing has you slamming it shut.
"she's still crying," levi asks while walking closer, frowning at how you grip erwin's hand tighter.
"it's best if i let you and her speak about it," erwin says sadly, letting go of your hand and making his way to the door, "alone."
you gulp as soon as erwin shuts the door behind him, staring at levi anxiously. he plops himself next to your body, just like erwin did before.
"please don't hurt me..."
sighing, he lays himself down next to you and pulls you close to him.
"i'm not going to hurt you," he pulls your head into his chest and wraps his arms around you, "not unless you deserve it."
"but...," you quiver, "you were so angry earlier."
"i wasn't angry. i was just... nervous, i guess. and it wasn't at you, or because of you, it was at the mess."
a silence floods the room as you relax in levi's embrace, heat once again spreading to your cheeks.
"what made you puke? i know lunch wasn't that bad," levi grumbles while rubbing your back, arm slightly stiff.
"erwin... was telling me about his case. the one about the girl getting kidnapped...," you tense up again while levi sighs.
"why would he tell you that? i swear he's gonna end up shooting himself in the foot one day," he shakes his head, "you're not like that girl."
"how so..."
"we did it because we love you, not because we wanted to use your body," he scoffs, "surprised you think of us that lowly."
"n-no! i-i don't," you exclaim.
"i know, i'm just teasing. but don't doubt us like that. we want to love you and care for you, not use you," you trace your finger in a circle at levi's sentence, embarrassment washing over you like a wave.
"you love me?"
"yeah, wouldn't do what i did otherwise."
"i think..." you furrow your eyebrows, unaware of the slightly shocked expression of levi, "i think i love you too..."

YOU were surprised whenever erwin and levi told you that you'd been good enough to venture the house a little more a few weeks later. you had been doing the same thing as before, sitting in your room and crying, hanging with the two men for two hours, and back to being lonely.
right now, you were stuck in your room. staring out of the window into the garden with dull eyes, silent tears running down your face.
you want to go home and sleep in zeke's arms. you want to tell pieck you love her and you didn't mean what you'd said to her. you wanted to play goofy songs on the piano with bertholdt. you wanted to lay in the sun with porco and reiner while they both commit to a workout routine.
you'd do anything to have that again. anything.
you wiped away your tears whenever you heard footsteps. the door opened to reveal levi followed by his bear of a boyfriend. erwin had on a gentle smile while levi looked the same; irritated.
"c'mon, you're playing for me today," levi grunts and your eyes light up at the opportunity.
you haven't played any instrument since you were taken. your hands missed their place on the objects, fingers delicately strumming the strings or pressing on the keys. they missed their home, just like yourself.
you're glad that they hadn't caught any signs of you crying. if they had, you would've had to stay in the room and talk it out with them.
you obediently follow behind them, nightgown swishing as you walk excitedly. you watch them unlock a door that leads to your quarters, and for the first time you're in the living room without crying.
the living room is big and clean, so much to where you wonder if it's even been touched. you turn your gaze to the left, eyes acknowledge the large, black front door. your eyes widened while the voice in your head screams at you.
'RUN!!!' it says, 'THIS IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE!!’
your eyes dart down to look at the doorknobs and it's locks. the door was left unlocked.
you gulp down the ball starting to form in your throat and try to ignore how you've started to sweat. you look back at levi and erwin, who are not paying any mind to what you do. they made the mistake of not holding your chain and not having one of them walk behind you.
before you can even really think, you're gliding across the room to the door. swinging the door open just as levi and erwin turn to scream at you, and you almost feel your stomach drop at the view before you.
it's a long stone walkway with a gate sitting at the end, almost teasingly. you run quickly, ignoring how the rough stone scrapes roughly against the soles of your feet. the window is rushing through your hair and slapping against your face, something you relish in temporarily.
your legs are starting to ache from how fast you're pumping them, trying to get to the gate as quick as you can. the wind has you tearing up once more, but you reach up and wipe away the small tears.
you ignore the sound of levi's footsteps as well as his and erwin's angry screams, you're so close, you're almost there.
your mind flashes to porco and reiner for a brief moment. you thank them in your head, now happy with how the two would make you race with them during their workout routines sometimes.
you're almost there, your fingers even graze against the black metal of the fence. but your breath is being knocked out of your body as you're tugged backwards.
your chain. your chain was the cause of your demise, it had been loosely swinging behind you and over your shoulder as you ran.
your head along with your back slam against the stone, loud screams of pain bursting through your mouth. you're sliding towards the person your chain is being tugged by, nightgown now tearing apart because of the friction.
levi is above you, eyes looking almost animalistic along with an angry face that stares at you as he huffs to get his breath back. you lay in the fetal position, crying out at the tip of levi's shoe kicks into your stomach. it has you barfing, but as soon as you finish levi's hands are grabbing you by the hair and dragging you back to the house.
but halfway down the pathway, he lets go and it makes you nervous. his foot comes into contact with your nose, blooding immediately gushing out of it. you sob out after he kicks you in the same spot once more, you think you hear a crack.
his foot kicks at your ribs now, taking all the breath out of your body while your eyes go blank. you can't think, even as levi's knuckles connect with your jaw. you spit out blood and cry at the scratch you get from levi's wedding band.
his hand is tangled with your hair, and instead of trying to pull away, he uses it as leverage. he squats onto a knee, eyes widened as he slams your face into the stone. you screech, nails clawing at the rough terrain and look to erwin.
"HELP!!! HELP, PLEASE," you gargle out blood mixed with your spit, reaching a shaking hand to him.
"HE'S GONNA KILL ME, PLEASE," you wail just as levi hits you again.
"that's enough levi," erwin says, now standing behind levi and staring over his shoulder.
you look absolutely damaged. blood, spit, and tears smeared across your face and scrapes all over your fragile body. levi slams your head down one last time, detangling his hand from your hair and storming off.
erwin only sighs and takes you in his arms, ignoring how your whole body trembles the moment he touches it.
"you're ignorant," he shakes his head, "i told you that levi would hurt you if you tried to run, and you didn't listen."
he's placing you onto your bed after he's walked back inside, eyebrows furrowed and nostrils flared from irritation. his palm smacks you across your face, and you sob from the pain.
"let me tell you something," he murmurs into your ear, "even if you'd gotten passed the gates, we would've found you."
you're panting and sobbing, wanting erwin to step away from you.
"that little collar of your's has a tracker," he whispers, "you'll never be able to get away."
those are the last words you hear before you black out.
————
you sit in the bathtub a few days later, listening to the gentle singing of erwin as he drenches you in warm water.
it burns against your skin, something you'd pointed out, but they ignore. you supposed it's an extension of your punishment.
when you get out of the bath, erwin tends to your wounds. he puts on a new bandage over the cut on your face from levi's wedding band, and new bandages onto your arms and torso.
later that night, erwin finds you curled in a ball into the corner of your dark closet. hands protectively shielding your head and covering your ears, shoulders quivering as tears run down your face.
"darling," he frowns, "you've got to stop coming in here."
you don't answer, which doesn't surprise him, and only pull your hands closer to yourself. he knows you won't willingly get up, so he brings the tray into the closet.
"i have to feed you, i need you to comply," you relax, hesitantly taking your arms away from your head and lowering your knees onto the floor.
he feeds you in silence, the only noise being the air conditioner coming off and on as he spends his time in there. he notices how you struggle to swallow down your food, probably from how levi's kicks damaged your ribs along with your stomach. before he can leave, he hears your hoarse voice asking for an answer.
"erwin...," you say, "how... how did you guys kidnap me?"
erwin sighs a bit, deciding to get himself comfortable as he begins the story.
————
it was a rainy night, raindrops froze against your skin as they pelted towards the ground. erwin and levi, your newfound friends, had invited you to go drinking with them a couple of weeks prior. you accepted with hesitance, but the hesitance was thrown out of the window whenever you and pieck had gotten in a fight earlier that evening.
you needed to get your mind off of the heated argument, pieck told you that you're a fuck up while you said that you hate her. you knew that you would regret this in the morning, but right now you're way too sad to even give a fuck.
when you enter the club, you find levi and erwin sitting and talking to one another at the bar. they both already have drinks and look as handsome as ever.
you sing out a greeting as you take the stool between them, ordering yourself a fruity drink.
"glad you could make it," erwin smiled to you, bringing his transparent drink to his lips.
"i promised i'd be here! besides, after the night i've had, i deserve to get drunk. what are you two even drinking," you smirked while looking to levi, bumping your shoulder against his.
he rolled his eyes your antics, while erwin spoke, "levi isn't really able to get drunk, but he's drinking whiskey. i'm drinking bourbon. what happened?"
you sighed, but it's cut off whenever the bartender puts your drink onto the counter in front of you.
"my best friend and i got into a fight, something about the house we share and something her cat did. she said i was a fuck up, i said i hated her. we'll be crying and apologizing by tomorrow," you fanned your hand and take a swig of your drink.
erwin opened his mouth to say something, but you interrupt him with a hoot as you slam the glass back to the counter.
"that's strong!" you laughed, barely noticing how quickly you downed it, "can i have another one?!"
"you shouldn't drink too much," erwin said while he pats your back.
you can't yell at him since levi asks a question before you could, "wanna have shots?"
"yes, please! what should be get," you grinned, the both of you ignoring the disapproving look from erwin.
"kamikaze shots," he smirks, "unless you can't handle it."
"are you fuckin' kidding?! let's go, right now," you're overly excited, slightly buzzed as you move around.
said shots were placed before you and levi. you picked it up and clinked glasses with him as you laugh, slamming it back down to the counter and downing it with a grimace. you shouted out in excitement once again, throwing your hands into the air.
"let's fuckin' go!!"
"let's not," erwin pulled your hands back into your lap, which you giggle at.
levi orders you another drink, you don't exactly hear what it is even whenever the bartender puts it down in front of you. your words are slurring as you laugh and chat with the two of them, eyelids heavy as you feel yourself getting more and more tired.
"hey, (name)," levi pushed his knee against your's, spinning the liquid in his cup around.
"wh... what's up," you grinned stupidly whilst laying your head against the counter.
"we like you, romantically," the statement had you sobering up, eyes shooting open and head shooting up.
"huh? what'd you say? i think i'm really drunk now."
"i said what i said," erwin's slightly panicking over your shoulder, "would you want to be with us?"
you squinted your eyes, temples suddenly throbbing with pain. you came out to have fun, not this.
"no," you sighed sadly, "i don't like you guys like that. plus, i'd feel intrusive."
levi gave a drawn out hum as he takes your drink from the bartender and putting it onto the coaster before you.
"it's okay, don't worry," levi shrugged, hand retreating back to his glass of whiskey.
you sighed in relief and break into a smile, once again drowning yourself in the fruity drink levi's given you. when you slam it back down, you cringe and your face is pulled into a grimace once more.
the drink tasted weird, nothing like the name implied. you try to wrack what alcohol exactly tastes the way this one does, salty. it tastes salty. and it's not like it's only alcohol in the drink, at least you think.
your eyes shoot wide as you come to the realization. this is a rape-date drink. and you've just downed the drink within seconds.
your mouth opened, but nothing but gibberish comes out. the last thing you see before your eyes droop is levi's small smirk with arms opened wide.
————
the story has you recoiling into a ball again, tears streaming out of your face while erwin tries to put a hand on your shoulder.
levi inflicted so much pain. physical and mental. he's the one who got you drunk, he's the one who drugged you, he's the one who slapped you day one, and he's the one who beat you. and erwin helped. erwin ordered.
"don't touch me, please," you whisper, backing yourself further and further into the corner of the closet.
"please, i want to comfort you," he frowns, once again reaching his hand out.
"NO!!" you cry and slap his hand, immediately retracting from fear.
"i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i didn't mean to," you fumble with your words and curl inwards more, "please don't hurt me again, please. i don't want to hurt anymore."
erwin's heart aches as you start to tremble, noticing how hard you were digging your nails into your scalp.
"it's okay," he says calmly, "i won't hurt you."
you choke out your words, "but levi will. he'll hurt me again."
erwin stays silent, knowing full well that you were correct. erwin was barely able to smack you without feeling bad, he couldn't imagine kicking you in the ribs. erwin can feel a ball in the back of his throat, picking up the tray in silence and leaving you alone.
you cry as you lay on the floor now, fetal position. you're going to fall asleep soon, and you're okay with you. you feel slightly more protected in the closet on the floor than in your bed.
your eyes are fluttering close.
you hope that you won't get hurt again.

PIECK knew something was up whenever bertholdt said you weren't answering his texts and hadn't been showing up to work before you even went on vacation. she knew you were on vacation and that you were pissed with her, but even so you never ignored texts from bertholdt.
her suspicions only rose whenever porco and reiner told her the same thing, that you'd suddenly gone awol on the two of them out of nowhere.
they were confirmed when zeke came back into town and said the same thing.
she sits on her couch, shoulders shaking as she cries with porco's arms wrapped around her. reiner, bert, zeke, and annie, who reiner and bert brought for some reason, stare at her in complete worry.
you went awol just this sunday, telling each and everyone of them that you were going on vacation and wouldn't be in town for a little while. bertholdt hadn't seen you at work for almost three weeks now, two and a half of them after your sudden vacation.
"she can't be on vacation," pieck sobs, "she always answers your guys' texts. no matter what!"
"maybe she's just in a different country? she might just not be able to get reception," porco seems unsure as he says this.
"she can't be. she would've told me, pieck, or even bertholdt. god, she would've told all of us," zeke's head is in his hands while his teeth grind together.
"okay, so where would she be if she were still in paradis," annie speaks up while gesturing her arm in a circle.
"who fucking knows," reiner sighs, "when'd you last see her, babe?"
"at work before she stopped showing up. she said she was gonna get coffee at that one café she loves going to. other than that, she didn't say anything about plans or going out with anybody," bertholdt is laced with confusion and his arms are crossed.
"we got into a bad fight that night," pieck sniffles, "she left the house a few hours later, i just thought she was going to stay with one of you guys or yelena."
"what'd you even argue about?"
she grips at her hair with tears rushing down her face, "i can't even remember. it was probably so petty and stupid. the only thing i remember is her telling me that she hated me and me telling her that she was a fuck up."
"i'm so sorry, pieck," porco squeezes her shaky form tight to his chest.
"wait," zeke's standing up abruptly and pointing at bertholdt, "she went where?!"
"oh my god, she went to café scout!!! maybe the workers heard something," reiner perks up along with everyone else.
"holy shit, maybe that one girl is there!! she probably saw something," porco smiles.
"louise! she definitely knows (name)! she probably saw something! let's go," pieck jumps off of the couch and stumbles towards the front door of her house.
the rest of them follow after, all deciding that bertholdt's van, he's usually the designated driver, is the car they'll get into. they all yell at a fumbling bertholdt to hurry up and unlock the car as they stand at the car. he does so while screaming, jumping into the driver's seat and starting the ignition. reiner's jumping in the passenger seat and annie's in the first row of seats behind bert.
before porco can even close the door behind him, bertholdt is driving off towards the café. porco is screaming along with pieck as they're thrown around the van due to their lack of seatbelts and the both of them standing to sit in their seat. their screaming has everyone else screaming as bert speeds up the car despite the oncoming speed bump. bertholdt and reiner hit their heads against the roof of the car, a loud bang resonating throughout the vehicle. pieck and porco's back hit the roof as well, but luckily for pieck she lands on the first row of seats next to annie.
porco, unfortunately, lands on the floor. zeke would've laughed if it wasn't for his own head slamming against the carpeted roof of the van. annie holds onto pieck's arm whenever she's in a sitting position, screaming along with reiner for bertholdt to slow the car down as they see another speed bump.
he doesn't.
porco is once again thrown against the roof.
bertholdt is speeding, even as he gets onto the freeway with other cars. he's stressed out.
when they get there, they all wonder how the fuck bertholdt didn't even get pulled over and how the hell they even managed to survive. bertholdt cries out apologies as reiner and porco puke their guts out in the huge parking lot while annie gags and tries not to vomit at watching reiner and porco do it themselves. pieck is holding her hand and trying to cover her eyes while zeke manages to cover her ears and cringes at porco and reiner.
bertholdt's now sobbing at annie, profusely apologizing, even getting on all fours and begging for her forgiveness.
"how are you gonna get on your hands and knees for annie but not for your boyfriend," porco coughs before he spits out saliva to get rid of the taste in his mouth.
reiner follows behind him in a grimace, hand grabbing at his now emptied stomach and the other going to wipe at his mouth.
"dude, gross!! don't wipe it off with your hands!! pieck and bertholdt usually have tissues on hand," porco shouts to reiner, who drops his hand halfway.
pieck and zeke comfort the emetophobe annie all while bertholdt gives reiner and porco tissues and a breath mint. he gives them hand sanitizer as well, and throws a pack of peppermint frost gum at the two of them, clogging his nose up.
they scoff but oblige, both now looking somehow decent and also smelling it. pieck's calming down a shaking annie, who's buried herself in pieck's warm arms, and zeke stands to the side awkwardly.
porco and reiner rush to the order counter when they all step inside, ordering instead of asking the cashier for the employee they were looking for. annie, who's now calm, pushes them aside harshly.
"ignore them, is that girl louise working today? we need to talk to her," she asks and the poor cashier is terrified at annie's deadpan face.
"n-no!! sh-she should be at home!!"
"give me her address," annie starts to lean her front over the counter, almost pushing the poor girl into a heart attack.
she grabs a napkin and a pen, hurriedly scribbling down louise's address and running off into the back.
"we can get food on the way there," annie shrugs nonchalantly, "preferably wendy's or something."
————
bertholdt and pieck almost feel bad for the poor girl whenever she answers the door.
with annie's glare piercing into her and zeke's towering over her, they were sure she'd pissed herself.
"y-yes... what do you need," she digs her nails into the door.
pieck shoves them both aside and steps forward, louise lights up with recognition.
"don't worry, they aren't gonna hurt you," she waves her hand, completely ignoring how they both still glare at louise even over pieck's shoulder, "i just need to ask you something."
"what is it?"
"have you seen (name) lately? the girl who usually come in with me."
"last time i saw her was around a few weeks ago," louise shrugs, "wait, did she go missing?!"
"yea, we're trying to figure out where she was last on the night of her disappearance. did she say anything to you...? anything at all," pieck steps forward with a desperate hand on her heart.
"she said something about going drinking with two friends... something about them being blonde and short," she scratches at her temple, slight pout on her face, "that's all i can remember."
"did she say what bar," pieck steps closer again, putting her hand on the door frame.
louise shakes her head sadly, eyes dropping down to their feet.
with that, pieck broke into tears again and was led away by porco and annie. the rest of them followed behind, leaving louise inside her home.
"she has to be somewhere," pieck cries into her hands, "she has to be!!"
zeke's got a hand on his forehead while he loosely holds onto his glasses with his other hand. he lets out a choked out sob, and everyone turns to him.
"zeke... are you... crying?" reiner turns to look at zeke over his shoulder.
"fuck.. yea. it just doesn't make sense. she's gotta be somewhere," he rubs the bridge of his nose.
"maybe the guys louise mentioned know something...," bertholdt inserts as he looks in the rear view mirror.
the statement has pieck shouting at the meek boy, "we don't know what they look like!!! all we know is that one is blonde and one is short! we're at a dead end! we're fucking stuck!!!"
bertholdt visibly flinches in his seat while his throat clogs up, hands gripping at the steering wheel. his eyes are welling up with tears that he doesn't let out. reiner's hand is on his arm in comfort, eyebrows bunched up in concern.
pieck wails once more, "god, i'm so sorry bertl. this isn't your fault. you were trying to help."
he sniffles, "it's fine. i understand. we're all just upset and desperate to find (name)."
"we'll find her soon enough."
————
the loneliness is getting to your head.
you're in the secluded dark even during the day.
you just crave to be with someone, so much that you're getting desperate.
a tug at erwin's sleeve has him stopping and turning back to face you. you've got tears spilling over your cheeks and snot running into your mouth while you lean on an elbow to hold onto his sleeve for dear life.
it's not even nighttime, it's early afternoon. erwin had just come into the room to feed you lunch and to just leave after that. but you couldn't handle it anymore. being alone made everything dark and silent.
even if the lights and televisions were turned on.
"please," you beg and rest your forehead against his arm, "please don't leave me alone."
erwin's cheeks are lighting up while his eyes widen. his hand comes up to stroke the back of your head as it now rests on his hip. he doesn't mind the wet spot forming on his pants, this was the first time you ever initiated anything.
"i won't, darling. i need to go put the tray in the sink and let levi know i will be in here," he's taking a step away from you, jumping at your sudden loud sobs and tugging.
"no! no! please, i don't want to be alone," your eyes are squeezed shut while you grip onto his pants for dear life.
"but i need to go put these dishes away. after that, i can—"
"no!" you scream and push your head harder against his leg, "no! please don't leave! i don't want you to leave."
he sighs, putting the tray of empty dish onto your bedside table. he grabs the room key out of back pocket before he picks you up bridal style.
"you run, levi'll break your legs," his fingers dig into your skin, but loosen at the frantic nod you give.
he manages to unlock your bedroom door in a complicated way, which you don't feel like questioning, and strolls outside of the room.
he goes out of your quarters, it's the furthest you've ever been. you're in a large room that connects into other rooms, the amount of doors is slightly overwhelming to you even as you look at them.
to your shock, you pass by people. living people.
they all seem to be staff, and the only sort of acknowledgement you get from them is a wide eyed stare with a dropped jaw.
"levi is still in his study, correct," he asks while shifting his hold on you.
a girl with ginger hair and auburn eyes speaks up, "yes sir! he requested no one to enter."
erwin nods and walks past the girl, who gives you a small friendly wave whenever you look out from erwin's arm.
you turn your attention back to erwin whenever you hear the sound of a door opening and closing.
you're in a new room, which is assumed to be levi's study, that's lighted up by the cloudy and grey natural light that shines through the blinds and windows. there are bookshelves on both sides of the room and you notice that on both bookshelves the order of the books goes from largest to smallest. levi sits at a desk in the middle of the room, facing the door, as his hand holding a pen runs across the paper.
"what do you need," levi looks up for a brief moment, but snaps his head up once more.
"what's the brat doing here," he motions to you in erwin's arms.
erwin's sitting you on a leather couch in the office, wiping away some tears with his thumbs. he steps away from you and takes ahold of levi by the arm, essentially dragging him to the door of the study.
the dawning realization that they're going to leave you alone has you tripping over your feet as you run to the door. your hand grips onto levi's shirt and you tug him towards you, pulling him away from the door.
"i don't want to be alone," you cry while shoving your face into levi's chest, he cringes at your snot and tears soaking through his shirt.
"oh," he blinks, awkwardly rubbing your back with his hand, "why'd you bring her here?"
"because she wouldn't let me leave to put her tray away, which i now need you to do. i'm going to get in the bath with her, which you are welcome to join if you'd like."
"i don't like baths, sitting in your own filth," he scrunches his nose up.
"to each their own," erwin shrugs, giving levi a kiss on his temple and grabbing ahold of your hand.
"come along, darling," he smiles at how quickly you intertwine fingers with him and join his side.
he leads you into a different bathroom than the one that you use. there's not much of a difference besides it size, the tub's size, and the long counter built for two.
"undress for me, love," his giant hands are massaging your shoulders before he pulls away and walks over to the tub.
you look to the bathroom door, only to find a doorknob with a keypad, something you didn't notice when you walked in, and frown. you just sigh and slip off the the pastel pink nightgown you were wearing, the fabric pooling around your feet as it drops to the floor.
you look up into the mirror, and you almost want to cry. you look nothing like yourself. you barely had any life behind those (eye color) eyes and your eyebrows were now naturally furrowed in sadness. you've got fading bruises on one side of your body, trailing downwards all the way to your calf.
you decide to take off your panties before you let your thoughts roam, stepping out of them after they've dropped to the floor.
you hear the door open, to which you and erwin look to. only it's not levi.
it's a young boy with ebony black hair and emerald green eyes that stands at 5'10.
you instinctively cover yourself up and turn your back towards him, embarrassing washing over you in waves.
erwin scrambles to block the boys view, who is seemingly enjoying it, and furrows his bushy brows.
"who are you and what are you doing here? where is levi?!"
"levi sent me sir. he gave me clothing for the girl and then said you would be in here," his eyes try to take a peek over erwin's shoulder.
erwin snatches the clothing out of his hand and slams the door shut in the boy's face. he scoffs in annoyance while he puts the clothes onto the counter, now focusing his attention onto you.
"i'm sorry about that, dear. are you alright," he puts a hand on your back and guides you to his chest.
"i'm okay," you sniff, "just wanna get in the bath now."
he smiles a bit, leaving a sweet kiss on your forehead before he steps away. you watch him rid himself of his white button up and try not to let your eyes bulge out at his body. however, you can't exactly resist the urge whenever erwin is finally naked.
erwin's stomach has abs carved into it, a well groomed happy trail leading to his cock. the thighs in his muscles and back are almost screaming out at you whenever he turns and lifts his hand to ruffle his hair.
you look down to his feet, feeling ashamed for even staring for so long.
he gets into the bath after a moment, knees spread wide for you to sit between. his arms are resting on the rim of the tub while he sighs at the hot temperature. you get in, goosebumps running up and down your body as the heat invades your colder body. you settle in between his legs and lean back against his chest, closing your eyes.
his arms wrap around you, pulling you closer to him than you were before. you put a hand over his arm, silently giving him a message to keep his arms where they were.
his lips kiss at the crown of your head, and it seems sweet enough to where you think you might be able to smile. but you don't.
watching your eyes flutter, he mumbles into your hair, "the hot water make you tired?"
"yeah," you hum, "don't really like the hot outside of this. i prefer the cold."
"so does levi," erwin chuckles as he draws circles into your skin.
"does that mean you like summer?"
"no, i prefer fall or spring. both usually have the adequate temperature," he sighs.
"erwin," you ask after a few seconds, "why is levi so cold?"
"why are you only now asking?"
"i meant to ask sooner but i was never really... given the chance," you say bitterly.
"well, levi has been through a tough life. he almost went to jail before i met him. but it isn't my story to tell," he smiles at the memory.
you nod and finally let out a yawn, "i'm going to fall asleep soon."
from then, erwin washes the two of you so you both can get out of the bath. during this, you find out he's actually quite playful. he gathers up bubbly soap in his hands and blows them into your face, hearty laughs following immediately after.
he stands before you once you're out of the tub, wrapping a towel around his waist and one around your shoulders. you look up at him while he brushes your hair and puts on a few drops of lotion on your face.
you're trying to ignore the voice in the back of your head that maybe he really does care. because at the end of the day,
you still have a collar and chain on.

YOU'RE disappointed whenever you awaken from your temporary slumber. you were sure that you were close to death with that blade on your vein, but it turns out you were wrong. well, that's what you think until you look at your arm.
each one of the cuts is stitched up neatly while the bandages trying to wrap around them are loose. you sit up while inspecting some of the bloodied bandages on your hand, must've been from whenever you broke the mirror.
you sigh sleepily, staring at the bedroom door in hopes that someone will come entertain you even just for a moment. luckily, your wish is granted whenever you watch erwin slip into the door silently.
he's trying to be silent, that much is obvious by how he's not wearing any shoes and instead socks along with him shutting the door gently. he turns to you, flinching at how your eyes bore into his head even as you lay down.
"you're awake it seems," he smiles and sits on the edge of the bed, large hand caressing your pale cheeks.
you start to sit up only to be fussed at by erwin, who softly shoves you back against the bed.
"how am i still alive," you stare into the ceiling.
"when you passed out, we managed to get ahold of our friend that's a doctor," of fucking course. of course they'd have a doctor friend, how the fuck else would they get roofies?!
"when can i get out of bed," you lay your hands on the collar around your neck.
"tomorrow, we didn't expect you to wake up today."
"how long have i been dead for?"
"an incorrect term to describe you, however you've been out for a day. our friend told us with your mental struggles it might take longer for you to wake up," he sighs and rolls his head while a gentle smile forms on his face.
"can you turn on a show for me? don't care what," you look to the ceiling fan.
"of course," erwin says in slight concern. he'd expected you to, at the least, shed some tears, whether it be from happiness or sadness. but you weren't reacting at all.
"you know.... when i was younger people didn't like me," you sigh, "but i was okay with it. as long as i didn't get hurt, i didn't care all that much."
"why are you telling me this?"
ignoring him, you let out a small and bitter chuckle, "when i got into high school, i made friends with a boy who had a twin brother. his name was marcel, he was so sweet and kind.
"he's dead now. it tore his brother apart, i'd never seen porco in that much pain before."
mistakenly, erwin ponders, "how did he pass?"
it's the first time you turn your head to stare at him with those dead fish eyes of your's. you looked almost sinister as you burned holes into erwin's head.
"suicide."
erwin left your room with stiff shoulders that night.
————
two days later, you're standing to look at yourself in the bathroom mirror. you're surprised they didn't take the glass away from you, but you're sure it's for brushing your teeth or something.
as you stare at yourself, you allow your shoulders to shake as they hold up your arms leaning on the sink.
you wonder what your friends would say at seeing you like this. so desperate to get out that you're willing throw away everything you have just to get it.
there's an itch at the back of your mind, festering up against the walls over your brain.
'they'd think you look pathetic,' the itch, now a voice, whispers.
"porco wouldn't," you whimper. porco's been through this process before, he gets it, he understands. right?
'marcel died by his own hands in order to cleanse himself from his sadness. he'd look down upon you for comparing this to his case,' you squeeze your eyes shut and put your hands over your ears.
"pieck wouldn't. she's by my side forever," you sob.
'pieck fought with you before your disappearance. she called you a fuck-up. look at yourself, you'll find that she's right,' and with bated breath you look up.
you sob, shooting your arm back that's clenched into a fist. you punch the glass, which flies all onto your arm and hand. you storm out of your bathroom in fear, stumbling as you look at the stool used for your vanity.
you take it hastily, setting it up the ceiling fan and standing on it. with rushed movements, you wrap the chain connecting with the metal collar around the base of the fan. you step off of the stool, kicking it away with your foot while you choke.
you're starting to black out when you see levi run in with erwin, and you pray to the heavens that you'll wake up in hell.
————
once again, you're disappointed. you whimper weakly while crying, you just wanted to die. you don't want to be trapped in here anymore, you just want to escape.
your throat burns. and before you can try to test your voice, someone's unlocking the door while letting out an almost wicked laugh.
the door swings open to reveal a person, who's long brown hair is pulled into a messy ponytail and wearing circled glasses on their face along with an eyepatch. behind them follows a much meeker man, one that's reprimanding their actions as they shout loudly in excitement at the realization that you're awake.
"moblit!! she's already awake," the person hoots to the man behind them, who you're going to assume is moblit.
"i can see that hanji! now, quiet down! you're probably scaring her," moblit scolds the person named hanji, who ignores the warnings.
"hello, my darling~! i'm your doctor, hanji zoë but feel free to call me hanji! do you have any recollection of what happened," they sing excitedly, shoving their face close to you.
you nod nervously, who the fuck was this person.
"i apologize for their behavior, they act almost as a dog," moblit emphasizes while pulling hanji away by their shoulder.
"we came to see if you sustained anymore damage onto your body besides your neck," he looks you over.
you hold up your hand, smeared with your dry blood. hanji gently takes it into their hands, frowning deeply at what they see.
"get my tweezers for me, moblit. she's still got some tiny pieces of glass in the wounds. i'm sure that's why you were hurting so bad before we came in, huh," hanji attaches a magnifying glass to their glasses while slipping on medical gloves. you'd just woken up, but you weren't gonna tell them that.
moblit hands them a tray along with tweezers, not to mention hydrogen peroxide.
"tisk tisk! that shorty and eyebrows really don't know how to put hydrogen peroxide in! losers," they cackle at the end, which has moblit slapping a hand down onto their shoulder.
"alright alright!" they smack it away, taking your hand—palm faced down—gently while adjusting their magnifying glass.
you scream as they start to pull out a piece of glass, not exactly expecting them to be either big or long. you sit up on your elbow to look, you don't exactly trust this person.
your scream has levi and erwin bursting in the door just as hanji pulls out a smaller piece of glass, that they had to dig a bit for and it made you cry.
"what'd you do?! what are you doing?!" levi bombards while erwin rushes to your side.
"well, i'm trying to concentrate on getting some of this glass out of her skin. unless you want it to get infected, i'm going to continue. it just hurts," hanji says in frustration, bringing your hand closer to their face.
"oh, thank god," erwin sighs in relief but immediately jumps at the sound of your teary shout.
"it's okay, you'll be okay," he reassures, wiping a tear away with his thumb.
bursting with slight anger and immense pain, you snap at him, "don't you think i know that?! it just hurts!!"
both erwin and levi look shocked at your outburst just as you hiss in pain again.
sighing, hanji looks at you, "okay, i saved this one for last since it'll be the most painful to get out."
"just get it over with," you sob, squeezing your free and bandaged hand into a fist.
you knew it was going to hurt, they'd just told you. however, you didn't realize that somehow a piece of glass managed to get stuck in the wound with one side of it being lunged under unharmed skin. it was like trying to get out one paper out of a stack.
you scream again, letting yourself fall onto your back again and swinging your arm over your eyes. biting your lip, you breathe heavy with shaky sobs.
"this is worse than giving birth," you cry.
"it's definitely comparable," hanji humors you while they poke at the glass.
it makes you chuckle a little, considering they're the one putting you through this.
whenever they pull the piece of glass out, it feels like an immense weight has been taken off you as you relax your body. you hiss at the hydrogen peroxide, but it's much better than the pulling of the glass. you reach up to your collar, only to realize that they've detached the chain connecting to it.
you're frustrated, even more so whenever hanji pulls away from you and acts like this is a totally normal occurrence. you're kidnapped for god's sake, shouldn't they be calling the police?
you let your eyes wander around the room, and when they set on levi, you tense. you scoot away from erwin, since he's on the same side of the bed as him, and place yourself at the edge of the bed.
"alright, we need to talk to you about some things," erwin brushes some of your hair behind your ear, completely ignoring your fear of levi.
"first things first, you can't be trusted alone," levi grunts and leans against the wall with his arms crossed.
"which means, you'll be spending time with levi during the day until i get home or if i request to see you," erwin cautiously and slowly says.
your eyes widen while they shoot between levi and erwin, absolute fear swarming your body.
"i only hit you whenever you disobey," he scoffs, "i believe pain is the best way to teach someone a lesson."
"he won't hurt you unless you give him a reason to," erwin tells you reassuringly. it doesn't work well.
"please, don't hurt me. i'll be good, just don't hurt me," you croak while looking to levi, who softens a bit at the statement.
"don't worry then," he nods, "now go back to sleep. i'm sure you're tired after all that screaming. you'll be with me at eight in the morning."
you nod, shakily grabbing ahold of the remote on your bed and turning your tv on. levi slips out of the room without a word while erwin stays back.
"good night, my love. get some rest," he whispers, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead.
you hum in response, scrolling through the selection of movies on the netflix account levi and erwin provided for you. you choose a rom-com movie, seeing as you don't actually plan on staying up just to watch it.
you turn onto your side and close your eyes.
and for the first time, you rest easy.
the next morning, levi leads you through the home by hooking his pinky with your's. you were slightly thankful at the gesture. he knew that you were nowhere ready to be fully touched by him and that you weren't allowed to leave his side.
you sit on the love seat in his office, shyly taking the tv remote from his hands when he offers.
"watch anything, just don't turn it up too loud," he sits at his chair with a sigh as you scroll through movies on hulu.
you choose the movie footloose while you get comfortable on the couch. you try to ignore the small shivers running up and down your body as you're not covered up with a blanket.
you glance over to one of the bookshelves levi has up against the wall, trying to find if levi had any good reads. but before you could read the titles printed on the spines, a certain book that poked out from behind the others caught your eye.
'memories' the fraying writing was a messy cursive on the spine, something you assume levi wrote.
you get yourself lost in thought while staring at the bookshelf. if the book was in levi's office and in levi's handwriting, that means it has to be a scrapbook. and that it's levi's.
your eyes shine at the realization, but you try not to let it show. you'll wait for levi to get the two of you lunch before you'll look at it.
and so, you wait with patience. it seems so grueling as the time passes and you switch from movie to movie, but you hope it'll be worth it in the end. you hope that it explains why levi is the way he is.
"i'm going to make our lunch. the door's lock behind me since it's a keypad. stay put," levi says with slight annoyance, walking out of the room grumpily.
at the sound of the door locking, you jump to your feet and race to the bookshelf. you carefully pull the book out of its place, immediately flipping it open to the first page.
and there levi was, in all of his glory. levi was a baby in the photo, closed eyes and a peaceful look on his face as he curled into himself.
turning the page, you almost gasp at the image you see. levi's being fed by a gorgeous woman, who you can only assume is his mother. the next picture on the page shows levi wearing raggedy clothes with greasy hair shining in the sun as he crouched to hold stare disgustedly at a bug on his finger.
it made you giggle, but the next photo made you frown. levi, who looked to be at the age of five, was standing next to an older man with a casket behind them. you look at the note written under it.
'mom's funeral,' it reads, and you feel an immense amount of pity.
the next picture is a picture of levi at the age of seven standing in front of a beat up school with dirty and ripped clothing. his hair is long enough to be a mullet in this and his body looks so frail compared to now. levi's face shows not a hint of emotion, instead his eyes stare right through the camera and back at your's.
you jump whenever a book on the shelf falls onto its side. you hiss while rushing to put it back up, and as soon as you do, one from the top shelf falls onto the ground somehow. you hurriedly grab it and reach up to it on your tip toes, but you're barely able to reach.
you curse while you use the bottom of the bookshelf as a stool, not even realizing just how old this thing seemed and how much you weighed.
you sigh in relief whenever it doesn't fall down, it only wobbles a little as you step back onto the ground. you go to put the scrapbook away, but you notice that the stand hasn't stopped wobbling. it wobbles almost hauntingly back and forth, and that's when you realize it's going to fall on top of you.
you gasp while dashing to the floor while you slide out of the way, not even realizing that the scrapbook was being bricked by your arms holding it to your chest.
you cringe at the loud bang it makes as it falls, but the cringe turns to fear whenever you hear the pounding footsteps of levi.
you can't get up on your feet quick enough as he bursts through the door. his eyes dart to you on the floor and then back to the fallen bookshelf.
"what did you fucking do?! are you that stupid?!!" this has to be the loudest you've ever heard levi speak, and it makes you nervous.
tears well up in your eyes as you stare at him, completely petrified at how you might be beaten once more.
you hope levi spares you, just this once.

I remember being so confused when I first read and heard ‘oppa’ while watching a Kdrama. In German ‘Opa’ means grandpa (but the Emphasis lies on the ‘O’) and I took me two embarrassingly episodes to figure out why she was calling her love interest oppa
LOL i feel the same way!!! i took a greek folk dancing class once where they made us yell “OPPA!” when we were dancing and now that’s all i can think about when i hear that term...
