As a screenwriter, I can think of literally so many ways they could have padded this episode to make it more gripping and satisfying for the audience. Like, there’s a lot of things I would like to expand on, but specifically who agreed to make the fight scene so short?? Give us Percy swinging desperately until he can’t even hold up his sword. Give us the chimera playing with him like a cat plays with a mouse. Give us Annabeth and Grover screaming and banging on the door until Grover, their protector, has to be the logical one and drag Annabeth back to the pod, not because he’s abandoning Percy but because Annabeth is also his to protect, and for once, she isn’t in her right mind, and he can’t lose them both.

Thinking about the fact Show Thalia Annabeth and Luke all look similar. Thinking about the fact Thalia was probably the only who teaches Annabeth how to braid her hair. Thinking about the fact after she’s gone Luke would’ve been the one to do it. Thinking about the fact Annabeth only learned to do it from other campers after her family Luke and Thalia left died betray abandon her again just like her dad did aren’t there to do it for her. Thinking about how she must feel because hair braiding used to be a thing they do together and now it’s a constant reminder of what it was and isn’t anymore. Thinking about the fact-

I have a couple of main problems with the removal of world state interactivity in DAV and the way it's being presented.

The big one for me is the missed opportunity for what is allegedly the game's central theme: regret. You're telling me that Hawke being left in the Fade isn't weighing on Varric's conscience? Or that Morrigan might regret accepting apotheosis because to protect her son she could no longer have a relationship with him? We don't even need to find out about the outcomes of those particular choices the regret should be there regardless.

The devs acting like they're doing people a favour by not 'invalidating worldstates' is so insulting. World states become invalidated by not acknowledging them where they should logically come up. Morrigan's motherhood was a major part of her character arc. The Well of Sorrows was presented as something that will take away that which you cherish most - not only does this threat never eventuate, there's no mention of what happens to the knowledge associated either, does an Inquisitor who drank just suddenly lose that overnight? Talk about invalidating choices.

It would be one thing if the game had been in Early Access and fans demanded Morrigan get added or something, but the devs chose to include these callback characters. They're coasting off prior good will for fan favourites while effectively having them act like entirely separate people to the ones people fell in love with. Commit to the bit: either do a proper reboot so we can make up our minds about a new cast of characters or actually have returning characters mean something.

While we're talking about Naruto and JJK parallels, I think in the Stupid Alignment Chart format, Kakashi and Nobara hold the exact same type of stupid, which is neither lawful stupid, neutral stupid nor chaotic stupid. I like to call it Stupid Soluble. It's that they will asborb the stupidity genre of whoever they're nearest to at the time

Episode 1 of Bad Buddy is really not that great when you watch it for the first time, for a variety of reasons. But it is such a treat to rewatch it, and it gets so much better in retrospect: now you already know who these characters are and what they’re thinking and feeling—of course, Bad Buddy’s writing has always been grounded in the ‘show, don’t tell’ method, therefore they rarely spell it out, hence more than one single interpretation of their actions’ motives is valid, but overall we know what’s going through their heads.

And to see Pat show this level of vulnerability and openness breaks my heart a little, because you can really sense (especially, like I said, in retrospect) how much he missed Pran and how happy he is to merely be allowed to stand next to him; to have him back in his life, with the hope that nobody will take him away again. 

Let’s not forget that Pat blames himself for Pran’s transfer, which explains why, when Pran says ‘Things don’t end well whenever I’m with you’, he does look a bit sad, but he immediately shakes it off and smirks, as if to say “Yeah, I know, right? I know. But at least this time you’re still here. With me.” And then he smiles softly (and shyly!) at Pran, although Pran has literally just insulted him.
