Oh the choices chapters lol. I had some girlies spiraling with these 🥴LETS GET STUCK IN!

He couldn't help but watch over you as you slept. He never saw you so vulnerable before– so demure and otherworldly.

Okay Edward settle down 👀 that’s not weird at all watching Y/n sleep.

He didn't dare move too much and risk waking you. It was just a challenge for him to reach it. His hands found purchase and he was able to prop the book up on your head to read in his downtime.

Did Joker prop a book on our sleeping head? If he wasn’t so cute, I’d have to fight.

A flash of red caught your eye and you drew your hand back to check it. You were a bit confused to find a perfect lipstick mark over the cut Joker gave you.

SEE?? He can be a sweetheart when the situation calls for it. 👀

You had finally kissed Joker! The third time was indeed the charm and this time, Joker didn't require any gimmicks to reach his goal. He just went in and claimed your lips like the zealous man he was. You couldn't lie and say that it wasn't worth the buildup.

Territorial Joker is alive and well in this chapter and it sets the tone for the next few chapters. Daddy J is so pissed about waiting. He wants you yesterday 👏🏾👏🏾

“Frost." He looked down at your hand lying on his forearm. You quickly removed it.

“Move Joker. Honestly..." You gently pushed him to the side and everyone in the room gasped.

I know that entire room was mourning your death 🤣🤣🤣 a female pushed The Joker?!? And she’s still alive?

Mac stood up to see better and hovered by your side– a bit too close– for Joker's likings. Unfortunately the blond didn't notice.

It’s our pretty boy’s first appearance! I didn’t know how much hype Frost and Mac would get when I was writing them. I’m so happy they have love too!

You tried to stifle your scream when Joker picked you up and sat you on his shoulders. "Just tell me where to go." He mumbled.

I was giggling like mad when I wrote this. Joker holding us on his shoulders? I’d die a happy death.

His head swam when your thighs clenched around his neck. Why did he put himself in these situations with you? You were unaware of Joker's growing dilemma, you had felt around the ceiling until a mechanical popping noise was heard.

Joker getting horny from the smallest things will always make me cackle. He’s a certified simp 🤣

With every word your lips grew closer and closer to his. "You promised me– you promised you wouldn't leave. I want to try us. Please don't–"

I didn’t realize just how much cockblocking I did between these two. 😬👀

Not even five minutes ago you were confessing to Joker that you wanted to try things out with him yet here you were in another man's arms. You could hear Florence's favorite quote, "she's a slut!" bouncing off your eardrums.

Y/n is in a state of shock. A lot has happened in the past 24 hours and she’s running on adrenaline. She’s not thinking clearly and that’s why she’s considering Bruce’s offer.

At this point in the story, Y/n acknowledges her feelings for Joker but she also knows that loving him is temporary. Y/n is thinking of her options after Joker is gone and Bruce is offering her one on a silver platter.

You couldn't look away even if you tried. His grip on your chin began to hurt but his words cut deeper. "You'll be back and I'll be waiting."

GAG! Joker slick petty for that last line.

“Let’s go to the drawing room for this conversation.”

“Or better yet, let’s just not have this conversation.” Percy, I love you but at least try & act happy for her 😂😂

“That’s not an option Percy.” Aunt Lavinia reminded him and you slightly pushed at Anthony’s shoulder with yours, making him look down and shoot you a smile before winking at you. flcjshsbskdj stop they’re so CUUUTTEEEE 🥰🥰🥰🥰

“I will make sure to speak to your sister.”

“Daphne?”

“Eloise.”

Anthony pulled back slightly. “…Talk to Daphne.” This scene gets me every time 😆😆

Elias put his hands on his hips, shooting you a look.

“Well?” he said. “What do you have to say for yourself young lady?”

You rocked back and forth on the balls of your feet. “I’m getting married.”

Elias made a face. “No no, say anything but that.”

“Like what?”

“Like,” he waved his hands as if looking for words. “I changed my mind, for example. Or how about; I need to think for a while to see if this is a good idea. Or better; I decided not to get married, I will stay a spinster forever.”

“You don’t even know him! It’s been what, a couple of months—”

“When you think about it, I’ve known him longer than you’ve known Cece.”

“There’s no Anthony and you,” he cut you off with a whine and you scoffed.

“We’re engaged.”

“I will not hear this.”

“We’re going to get married.”

“Stop that, you’re not,” he said and you heard Lucie rushing to you.

“Is it true?” she asked in a haste and you pulled her into a hug, giggling.

“We’re still considering it.” Elias said and you rolled your eyes at him.

“I will tell you everything once it’s all calmer here,” you said. “It was very romantic—”

“I do not want to hear this.”

“You’re free to leave Elias.”

“I’m not leaving you unchaperoned with that rake.”

“He’s my betrothed.”

*Elias, meet Ross… I think you two have a shared fondness for being annoyingly over protective of your little sisters and also in denial of said sister falling for anyone, but most definitely your best friend 🤣🤣🤣

“And are you happy?” Lucie asked and you nodded, smiling wide.

“It’s a sister thing,” you said and Cecily nodded. SKDJSKSJSNS IT IS THOOOO 😂😂😂

OOH YES AN UNCHAPERONED MOMENT!!!!!

“Oh look at that, I have to leave you two unchaperoned. Don’t get caught, will you?”

With that, she walked away from you and got to the drawing room, closing the door behind her. Anthony looked around, then grabbed you by the wrist and pulled you into the blue drawing room, making you let out a squeal.

“And whatever happened to being a gentleman, my lord?” you asked airily as he pressed you back to the wall and shot you a mischievous smirk.

“Do correct me if I’m wrong my lady,” he played along. “But I seem to remember you whining about it just yesterday.”

“I was not whining!” you protested, “I was merely expressing my…disagreement with your decision.”

“Oh your disagreement?”

“Well I must express it,” you taunted him, idly playing with the lapel of his waistcoat. “What if we disagree on something in our marriage?”

“I think you will find me very—” he leaned in, making your breath hitch up in your throat. “Very agreeable in our marriage.”

With that, his lips found yours.

You were beginning to think that you would be spending your marriage just kissing him and you would be happy with it. You stood on your tiptoes when he pressed your body to his, those butterflies fluttering in your stomach as you dragged your fingernails over the back of his neck, making him let out a soft moan. The sound seemed to have awoken something at the pit of your stomach, that fire spreading through you and he pulled back as if trying to control himself.

FLDKSJDJDMSMDLXM THE BUTTERFLIES ARE REAL REAL

“God, I can’t believe you’ll be finally mine…” he murmured, making you bit down on your lip.

“And you will be mine.”

“Always,” he said, making your smile bigger, “Only two more weeks.”

That had the same effect if someone were to burst through the door to splash cold water on you. You pulled back, blinking up at him.

I get it, I really do but also like, GIRL WHY WAIT?!?! Just wear another custom designer, killer Queen fit later and MARRY THAT MAN ASAP!!!!!

“Three and a half,” you said, extending your hand. “But I get to decide on everything about the engagement ball and you cannot say no to any of my decisions.”

A smile curled his lips and he took your hand, and pulled you closer to himself.

“Deal,” he said, claiming your lips once again and he sneaked an arm around your waist to lift you up, making you giggle. He carried you to the nearest coffee table but as soon as he put you on it, your elbow hit the huge decorative bowl placed on the table and before either of you could do anything, it toppled down and hit the floor, shattering into pieces, the sound echoing through the room. You jumped off the table, covering your mouth.

What a time to be breaking Percy’s things Anthony 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣🤣

“Your father is going to shoot me this time,” Anthony murmured, looking down at the pieces of the bowl and you heard the drawing room door open, making you take a step away from him before turning to look at the entrance. The Duke raised his brows as Elias pinched the bridge of his nose and Cecily bit down a smile.

Anthony shifted his weight. “…Lord Avon.”

“Lord Bridgerton,” The Duke said, glaring at him. “Why is my daughter alone with you and what is it with you and your burning hatred for china sets in my house?”

Anthony thought for a moment. “I can answer one of those questions.”

“Go ahead.”

“The designs of your china sets are very outdated.” That kid breaks AND insults his China!! As if Percy needed another reason to say no to him 🤣🤣🤣🤣 brb crying laughing

“Alright, what’s going on with you?”

“Except that you’re trying to marry my sister?” Elias retorted, and went to the other sofa to fling himself on it. Anthony leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.

“Just answer me one thing,” he said. “The last time we talked, you said you would support whatever she decided. What happened between that and now?”

“Well apparently you proposed!”

“And you knew that would happen, so what is it?” Anthony said. “What’s the real issue here?”

“She just got here,” Elias cut him off. “I just got her back after we spent our whole lives in different countries. I was—” he motioned with his hands. “I was hoping I’d get more time with her before some lord snatched her up, alright?” aaaand now I’m just crying crying, cause I know exactly what he’s feeling here 😭😭😭 Oh yeah, that whole conversation really hit home for me 😭🙌🏾❤️ SO SO GOOD

“I’m sorry to interrupt,” you said. “The Duke wants to see you in his study, Anthony.”

Elias made a face. “First names?” he said. “Where did the titles go, hello?”

Even when he’s sad, he’s got mad sass 👏🏾😂

“Oh my apologies,” you said. “The Right Honorable Lord Viscount Bridgerton, The Most High, Noble and Potent Prince His Grace The Duke of Avon would like your company in his study.”

Anthony scoffed a laugh and you dropped an exaggerated curtsy to which he returned by bowing.

“My most heartfelt gratitudes, my lady.”

“Hilarious, both of you,” Elias deadpanned

*Elias having to deal with these two as young fools in love and now clowns all in the same morning 🤣🤣 Poor babe*

Ok seriously, everytime Elias and Cherie have their tender sibling moments, it makes me so happy I could literally cry because when I read them it’s like reliving many of the tender brother/sister moments I’ve shared with my older brothers 🥹🥹🤍🤍🤍

You wanna know what? I'm gonna quote Despicable Me — "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die" — Like, what the heck? This was just incredible. The backstory, the get together, the ending.... wait, hold up✌🏾. Let me break it down😂👍🏾. She's going for a casual jog until she hears something familiar. Buck. As in Buckley. — HISTORY THERE👀👀👀. Their re-meet-cute (is that even a word?) and they make plans.... SHE JOGS BY THE FIREHOUSE AGAIN TO SEE HIM.... but. The third day, you just skip your jog and run a mile on the treadmill in the apartment you’re renting until you get on your feet in Los Angeles. It doesn’t look like an apartment that you’re living in but it is. It looks more like a one story house but it was classified as an apartment on Zillow. — no doubt disappointed that she wasn't able to see him. However, Buck has his ways of tracking her down👀🤷🏾‍♀️. Buck laughs in your ear and says, “Well, I know someone that works for LAPD and I asked her to look you up. She said that you don’t have a registered cell phone yet but you had an office number. Called this morning and your assistant answered the phone. I didn’t know you had one of those.” — HE ASKED ATHENA! HE ASKED ATHENA TO HELP TRACK HER DOWN. Oh. My. Gosh! Plus dropping that 'Miss' to check if she's married👀👍🏾. I SEE YOU BUCK! He slowly asks, “So, if I asked you to dinner tonight then you’d say no?” — WHICH LEADS TO THAT! YEP, WELL DONE BUCK! They make a plan, he picks her up&their conversation just flows🥺. He pulls out his phone and taps on it a few times before he says, “I am an uncle though.” Then he turns his phone toward you and you see a little baby swaddled in a blanket. “Meet Jee-yun Buckley Han. Maddie’s daughter that she and my friend Chimney had.” — He's such a proud Uncle😭😭😭. AHHHH! I LOVE IT! The night ended with them going on a drive&him dropping her off. Such a gentleman, walking her to the door🥺🥰. He smiles at you before he turns to walk away. You head inside, shutting the door behind you. You lean against the wooden door, feeling like the night was incomplete. Almost like something was missing. — Okay? What's gonna happen? When his lips touch yours, it’s almost like a shock has gone through your entire body. You gasp when he kisses you, caught off guard by how intense the kiss is. You don’t hesitate to kiss him back though, grabbing a fistful of his shirt and holding him close to you. — *insert cheering* AHHHH! The kiss that’s waited years to happen. Something always got in the way of your first kiss with Buck, whether that was a relationship that one of you got into or Buck leaving Pennsylvania. — THIS FREAKING DESCRIPTION OF THIS BEING YEARS IN THE MAKING. Now that it's happened, you don't know how long you'll be able to wait for the next one. It could happen at any time since you and Buck have finally reunited. — TAKE A BOW! Another heavy hitter in the His Lighthouse line up. We learn A LOT about Joker during this chapter. More Easter eggs is what I'm saying.

For what sane girl would willingly let Joker into her home and bed?

Seeing Joker reminisce about his love and how he had changed is making me wanna cry because. WHY DID YOU TURN YOURSELF IN J? Chaos knows why but WHHHHHYYYY? 😭😭😭😭

It was one of the reasons he turned himself in; to save you. He would always protect you even if the outcome broke your heart.

Joker never woke up in bed with you. It was a habit you were learning to accept. He left you alone more times than you'd care to admit.

Joker was at a loss seeing this version of you. Was this how you acted when you disappeared into your room? If so, you were a pathetic sight. A sight he wanted to dote on and protect.

I stand ten toes down that Joker is in Y/n’s corner. He listens to her and communicates effectively to meet her needs. He’s a good man Savannah 👏🏾👏🏾

I can picture Joker watching Tangled. It’s a great movie.

This was about you. If he picked a random beach and you didn't like it, then what was the point? His Bunny had particular tastes so he would honor them.

You see how he makes the decision all about Y/n? Respects her decision? Her tastes?? THIS MAN I SWEAR? 😭😭😭 I love the J I created for my series!

Y/n is built different! She asks Joker to jump, he’s already over the ledge in free fall, he’s that whipped. But uh the same breath, Joker is still insane, just because he has a Bunny doesn’t mean he’ll kill somebody in cold blood. The man is still deranged. 👀

“They're still pretty, Sugar." Your hands froze. Joker and his infinite nicknames for you. It never fails.

At this point we have a list of approved nicknames. Joker rarely uses our government name only when he’s serious.

Yes this is alluding to military!Joker background. In the chaos universe, Joker knows how to fly an aircraft 😎 I spent TOO LONG researching the exact jet used in this scene and perfecting the air traffic controller conversation. I’m a little aviation nerd. Be nice.

A madman was your pilot. A literal madman. You were gonna be sick.

I would be horrified if Joker was my pilot and I didn’t know he could actually fly it. He not gonna let you off the plane so you just stuck there.

“So am I." He whispered. He jerked the yoke up, pulling the plane into the sky at the last minute. Your screams filled the cabin along with Joker's maniacal laugh. Your head lolled back in your seat as you fainted.

Poor Y/n the girl needs a break

Joker looked so at ease up here hitting buttons and navigating the skies almost... like.. You remembered the flash of silver you saw around his neck and decided to keep your theories to yourself.

Joker covered your clammy hands with his own. "Calm.. down, Y/n. It's safe ok? I joke around but I would neverrrrr risk your life like.. this. You trust me, hmm?"

Let’s talk about this for a minute because 🥵 this shows restraint.

Joker may laugh and cause warped mischief, but he’s showing his rare serious side with Y/n. He’s proving he’s someone reliable to turn to when she feels trapped. Joker is building trust with his Bunny and it’s gonna be a key role soon.

I’m always looking at you. Gut me like a fish will you???!! I’m so ready to reread Joker falling in love!! He was attracted to Y/n from the beginning but now he’s “yeah I’m screwed” phase.

He couldn't help licking his lips, now free to your gaze. "Never." He mumbled. "Except... when I'm with you.”

The same way Joker is creating a safe space for Y/n, you already have for Joker. He is so comfortable around you, he doesn’t wear his signature makeup anymore. DO YOU SEE HOW HE IS CLINGING TO BUNNY? The man is down asunder. I will die on this hill.

He could let go and just be a man falling in lo—

Don’t fight it Joker. It’s happening whether you like it or not. 😏😏😏😏😏😂

“That.. haha! That's the point, Y/n! The beach is dark but only you stood out. Just you. You're.. you're glowing.. from within. You're. You. Only you.." He broke away with a guttural groan. "You're the light in the darkness." He mumbled on your lips. "My light."

Ladies and gentlemen; Joker’s Light is born.

Something changed between you and Joker on that beach. Something catastrophic.

Tuh yeah, Joker fell in love. Well his twisted version of it. Oh we getting in deep now.
