These are tiny white strawberry seedlings. They are so tiny and cute! Strawberries are extremely hard to start from seed and take a long time to grow from seed. Hopefully these make it without a seedling warmer. If they don’t we will try again once we move and have a warmer.

The children made plant labels out of tape and toothpicks for all of the seedlings. They called them DIY Plant Tags. They are water proof and so tiny and cute!

Stumbled upon these two little gems on sale at a mom and pop nursery. One is a red poinsettia with white polka dots and the other is an orange poinsettia. Did you know that poinsettias are shrub? They can grow as tall as 15feet 4.5m high and are perennials. .

Today our kitchen is closed and that’s a big deal for us. We are saying goodbye to our kitchen the heart of our home. In the kitchen we gather as a family making memories and bounding. We cook together, laugh together, and even make mistakes together. Our kitchen humbles us and it’s warm embraces us. We will miss our little Irish kitchen but it will always be with us. Although this day is sad we are reminded that home is where we are as a family. As long as we are together we are home, and with that hope tomorrow will be happy as we say hello to our new (temporary) kitchen. We can’t wait to make new memories together and with all of you as we start a new journey unfamiliar territory in Washington. Thank you to everyone who has left us tips, advice, and kind words to help us through this time and to help us get started in our new home. We value your friendship and this beautiful community of gardeners, farmers, cooks, crafters, and artist. Thank you for being our friends. See you in America!

More boxes! We are swimming in boxes now. The best part of today was gathering everything up for charity. There is a lot we can’t take with us for example anything with a UK plug. Every charity takes different items so we have a lot of pick up schedules today, and whatever the charities can’t take the community is helping find people who need it. Nothing will go to waste and so today is a good day.
