I just started Blue Lily, Lily Blue of TRC and the immense yearning I have to be a part of a friend group like these guys is actually going to swallow me whole. I am in complete awe and wonder and amazement and all of the other synonyms!!

I have never enjoyed a series quite as much like TRC and I'm excited (and a little apprehensive) to finish the last two books. There is something, some deep insistant yearning, that claws apart my insides and it makes me want to feel known and be known and to know others on such a deep level. To know all of their intricacies. Their quirks. To have something not romantic nor platonic but to know we are all helplessly devoted to one another in some way and I--- I need to discuss TRC with someone. Please. Also Noah is baby boy and my absolute fave. I adore them all so much. Blue, Ronan, Gansey, Adam, NOAH!! 😭😭

'Paul Mescal cut a casual figure as he reunited with his All Of Us Strangers co-star Andrew Scott at Glastonbury festival in Worthy Farm on Saturday.

The Irish actor, 28, who stars as mysterious neighbour Harry in the emotional drama, seemed in high spirits as he was reunited with his co-star Andrew, 47, to participate in a special Q&A with Saoirse Ronan, 30.

Paul rocked a plain white T-shirt and beige chino trousers and layered up the ensemble with a lace cream shirt which he left unbuttoned. He sported a black and white pair of Adidas trainers.

Meanwhile, his co-star Andrew, who stars as a grief-stricken screenwriter in the film, opted for a more colourful ensemble as he sported a cobalt blue gilet.

He teamed the casual gilet with a baby blue vest top and wore a pair of baggy navy trousers.

He completed the look with a pair of chunky white Nike trainers and seemed in good spirits as he smiled for the camera.

All Of Us Strangers director Andrew Haigh, 51, also attended the event and ensured to get snaps with the pair.

He sported a boxy black T-shirt and a pair of light blue denim jeans as he smiled for the snap.

The three then took part in a festival edition screening and Q&A with Saoirse at the Pilton Palais tent to discuss the film.

Searchlight, who took to Instagram to post the sweet snaps, captioned the post with: 'Dream Glasto squad ✨ Andrew Haigh, Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal stopped by the @piltonpalais tent with Saoirse Ronan for a festival edition screening and Q&A of All of Us Strangers.'

It comes after Andrew spoke out on his close friendship with his co-star Paul, calling him ' a wonderful friend.'

The Irish actors worked together on their Oscar-nominated movie, and spent awards season together, delighting fans with their red carpet antics.

And since then, Andrew revealed how Paul played a pivotal role in helping him through a tough time after his beloved mother Nora died suddenly in March, right in the middle of the awards season spotlight.

'I adore Paul, he's so, so … continues to be …' Andrew told The Sunday Times. 'Obviously it's been a tough time recently and he just continues to be a wonderful friend. It's everything.'

'The more I work in the industry, I realise, you make some stuff that people love and you make some stuff that people don't like, and all really that you are left with is the relationships that you make. I love him dearly.'

All Of Us Strangers sees Andrew star as a screenwriter drawn back to his childhood home who enters into a fledgling relationship with a mysterious neighbour played by Paul.

Director Andrew Haigh previously said that Paul and Andrew were 'fearless' when filming their sex scenes in the new movie.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, he said: 'There was chemistry between the two of them literally the second I saw them together.

'Both of them were pretty fearless. There was no sense of them being afraid of approaching those scenes. They knew how important they were.'

As well as the success of All Of Us Strangers, Andrew is currently basking in a flurry of positive reviews for his starring role in a new Netflix adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's The Talented Mr. Ripley.

He also recently collected the Critics' Circle Theatre award for his remarkable performance in a contemporary rendering of Chekhov masterpiece Vanya.

But the occasion was tinged with sadness for the Irish star, whose devoted mother Nora passed away with a 'sudden illness' in March - shortly before Mother's Day.

And Scott - who dedicated the award to her memory by telling audience members 'she was the source of practically every joyful thing in my life' - admits he felt compelled to immerse himself in work following her recent passing.

'Well, you know, you have to — life goes on, you manage it day by day,' he told the Sunday Times.

'It's very recent, but I certainly can say that so much of it is surprising and unique, and there is so much that I will be able to speak about at some point.'

you already know what i will be asking about but ⭐️ for playing with fire! how did you come up with the idea of riley going with kendall to minnesota? the jail plotline? the katie scenes? many questions my apologies but i absolutely adore that fic! it’s one of my favourites that you’ve written!

I had to skim that fic just to remember what happened in it since I haven't read it in a while. Anyway, to answer your questions:

How did you come up with the idea of riley going with kendall to minnesota?

This was actually supposed to be a series of fics where each of the Jacksons went with a BTR boy to a different place to get some time away from each other/be prepared for adoption etc and followed the angst from there. So Riley went to Minnesota with the Knights, Rhuben would've gone to Texas with Logan, Patrick would've gone to NYC with James, Noah would've gone to FL with Carlos, and Sydney would've been in LA with Ronan. Because I'm so obviously pro Kiley, that was the one that came up first before I completely nixed the idea. But it was also because I always wondered what Riley would've thought of Kendall's home life with him being excited but also anxious to show her. He wouldn't have been embarrassed by his old life per se but he was aware of how...'boring' it was compared to everything music related she'd experienced up until them.

The jail plotline?

Jail plotline is from the canon plotline of the trouble that Riley, Rhuben, Patrick, and Noah got into when they were in Australia. It's fixed in their canon background because if it's a story or fandom where their parents are alive, it's the catalyst that has them move to the US. If it's a story or a fandom where their parents aren't alive it's part of their backstory. Long story short, Riley and Rhuben had great friends and a great family and tend to bend the rules but don't break them often. But then Riley and Rhuben meet some people who aren't the best/cause trouble and who they want to impress and start to do stupid dares that bend the rules of things. After a while it's clear that those friends are part of a gang and they get so stuck that, eventually, they steal their parents' wedding rings to sell off for money to, essentially, pay for protection. Patrick and Noah get wrapped up into it when they start to figure out what's going on and eventually there's a fight they get caught up in that has them detained for assault. Just back when I wrote it, I had no idea what I was writing and just added it for angst driven reasons so it kind of came out of nowhere. But at any point Ri, Rhu, Pat, or No ever mention they "got in some trouble at home" that's what they're talking about. And that's what that plot is.

The katie scenes?

So, one of the things that I've always been curious about is Kendall's and Katie's relationship in that...if you watch the show, a lot of the time it looks like Kendall's relationship with James, Carlos, and Logan are more important than his and Katie's. Makes sense, they're best friends, hockey players, in a band, they're brothers. They're family. But Katie is his actual family. You can tell they're close with the 'Big Brother', 'Baby Sister' thing and how quickly they will help each other when needed, and he used to sing her to sleep. The six year age gap between them (though we always push it to a three year age gap) would make it harder for them to have the same plotlines. But he's her brother and it looked like he all but abandoned her once they got to LA and they had much more than they could've ever wanted in Minnesota. So, how would she fell about that? She'd probably be really upset and pissed. She looks up to Kendall and probably sees him as her best friend in a way, and also as her dad, so why is it that everyone and everything else in his life has a bigger point of importance over her? That's the feeling I was wanting to explore with Katie...especially because of the fact that she really looks up to Riley as well and wants to spend some time with just her, but it seems that she only wants to spend time with Kendall. She's talked to Patrick about it but Patrick doesn't feel that way as he spends plenty of time with Riley just them and then also spends time with Katie just them, and doesn't really feel that he's been neglected in that way. Katie, on the other hand, feels neglected because of her big brother's new job, new friends, new crush, new experiences and it's like she's just an afterthought, especially since she didn't want to be in the limelight at all. She misses her brother (probably as much as she misses her dad) and that's not looked at a lot.

For the trick or treat ... I wish I had something better. I'd like to give you a little snippet of the thoroughly fluffy Pynch pet get-together fic that's currently my comfort space.😳

Baby was shy around new people, needed Adam’s reassurance, there’d been some nervous growling at first, but he was definitely getting better. When Blue had first stomped in, demanding to see the newest member of the family, Baby had taken one look and immediately fallen head over heels in love. Adam secretly thought Baby adored her because he thought she was some kind of squeaky toy, small and capable of high pitched noises. Adam watched them on the couch, Baby efficiently smothering Blue, pretending his damnedest to be lap dog, and Blue sinking deeper into the couch in rapture at the display of love.

Princess ignored Gansey thoroughly in the way that only cats could. Gansey didn’t love cats, was pretty apathetic, so Princess seemed to be apathetic right back. She would stay in the room in sphinx mode, somewhere, just so when Gansey walked past, she could snake out an arm and paw at his leg or swipe at his head. When he sat down, she just happened to appear nearby, watching. And waiting. It unnerved Gansey which amused Ronan to no end. The only time she purposefully went near him was when he appeared in impeccably tailored black slacks and she decided right then was the time she absolutely HAD to rub hard against his legs, twining in and out, purring loudly as she happily deposited her cream colored hair all over his slacks. When he sat, she even jumped up on his lap to his great and frozen shock, kneaded his leg for a minute, shook herself out thoroughly, and jumped back off, purring like a happy motor the entire time.

Gansey looked down at the coating of fur he’d been gifted with and said, “Why did you get a white colored cat when all you wear is black?”

Ronan picked Princess up and rubbed her against his cheek which she accepted for a moment. “She’s not white, she’s fawn. Aren’t you, sweet thing?”

I don't know if this fic will ever end up an actual fic, but it's a very fun AU to play in! 😻😽
