two gen two parents and their babies! the v4.5 is the very same one I played climb on during silent reading time in seventh grade.

I think when the battery dies in the ufo one, I'll start up the v4 I bought on ebay. that way I'll be running two tamas I can actually connect!

I have a spacey mix and am trying to get an anniversary one. (also have a few connections, a friends dream town, and... I think like eight minis, though most of them are still in package.)

the mix is pretty cool; the genetics aspect is super neat, but I will say that 1) you cannot unlock all of the content without a second one (2 locations, I think maybe 15% of the total content) and 2) once your tamas hit adulthood there's not really a lot to do with them. (except play games constantly b/c they don't like the default food and eating out gets pricey; and work to marry them off and get a new bb tama.)

I think the first one is only relevant for melody/spacey versions though. iirc you can unlock all the content on the anniversary version with just one, and I'm not actually sure about the sanrio version.

I'm not trying to talk you out of getting a m!x, though! I don't run mine all the time but it's really fun when I do. I do recommend doing your research on the different versions before you pick one, though. (and either brush up on your japanese or find a guide to get you started; iirc there's no english patch.)

Hello! I currently have 1 Tamagotchi Friends and 1 Tamagotchi Mini active. I am really interested in getting one of the colorful tamagotchi devices, like the tamagotchi mix or tamagotchi 4u, but I never had one before and I am kind of lost which one to get. Can you recommend me which one I could get, which isn't too expensive, playable without others and easy & fun to play?

I almost bought a second smart so I could connect them, but then I didn't. and it's a good thing because I just remembered those leaked new uni models and I want all of them

finally got a chance to pop fresh batteries into the three (!!!!!) tamagotchi connections recently unearthed from the dumpster fire that is my childhood bedroom, and haha wow I sure did own these in middle school! you can tell because the owner's names are ari and aloxa, and the tamas are named aya, ienzo, and zero.

I was excited to see what kind of tamas I had raised (while being prepared to be mad if eighth-grade me had managed to take better care of them than current me is managing with my 2024 connection), but unfortunately they're all generation one tamas and none of them are even adults. which. makes a lot of sense; these all have a pause function and I would have kept them paused in class. i would also have paused them before they ended up in the box sara found them in, which is why the batteries died but my tamas didn't.

ienzo is a good care teen, though!!! I'll have to try really hard to raise him into a good care adult, and then cry because I can't then marry him to my 2024 model, because they can't connect.

I think once the battery runs out on my 2024 v3, I'm going to just run my vintage ones. I can't run the two v3s together because one of them needs new buttons, but the v3, v4, and v4.5 can at least all connect to each other.

shockingly the battery on my smart died before tsuyomummy could, though she was nearly dead. my meets did die, which i was kind of expecting.

i wanna switch over to the sanrio change card, so i'll have to marry her off first. i'm still not sure how i even got her, because i'm like 95% sure i didn't feed her any of the smacard foods? but i might have had one left over from her parent that i fed her and forgot about.

...ah, but i have to remodel the house in order to change cards, too. hmm.

I was still getting some Japanese text strings on the smart, so I thought i should try to update the patch and repatch it. I dont have a ton of time this morning, so naturally I did it now, while I'm supposed to be getting ready to leave.

anyway I got a girl baby this time (finally, on my fifth egg on this device) and all the girls on this thing look great. I'm looking forward to seeing who I end up with.

idk if I'll do meow tower cats or neko atsume cats. but I should definitely do one of the two.

generation two on the smart and the meets! before I patched the smart I had mametchi, and after I got... mametchi. so I'm trying to get in some care misses so that I get literally anyone else??? as I have a boy again.

(actually, now that I've looked at the character list again, I think I'm going to go for weeptchi. probably the alternate method as I unfortunately really like the drink making game.)

once I make all the content for my own smacard this will probably be less of an issue. unfortunately, that means I have to make all the content myself. I wanted to make ffxiv characters, but maybe I'll start with pokemon. they might be easier to make sprites for.

anyway, I think I figured out why i like the mix and meets so much. you get a new character every time even if you raise them the same way. so I don't just get mametchi all the damn time if I didn't go out of my way to neglect the tama and get someone else.

since I've been marrying through the app, I've given up on trying to name my tama cute portmanteaus of their parents' names. I don't know what your father's name was, gen 8 twins, I'm sorry!

I got lovelitchi! I'm too lazy to grind out enough gotchi points to unlock berry town, so I guess she's gonna marry morijikatchi.

...although kuchipatchi sure is trying... I guess it could be an interesting experiment, to see how long it takes to breed his genes out of the family line. if he ends up proposing first maybe I will... but I kinda hope he doesn't

dream mix! feat. my first attempt at a crochet cover. I wasn't originally super happy with it because it is quite bulky, but I didn't like how I attached the strap on the second one, so this one it is.

I did end up doing a round of slip stitching around once the tama was in the case, but it still comes okay. it just isn't going to come out accidentally lol
