No, I don't think it was because of it otherwise they should stop calling others as well. I think it's fine when it comes to established players - like romain moving there is upsetting but he's already proved his worth and he has a certain age, bounou is obviously on another level and even boufal (as incredibly upsetting his move to qatar was) is not a player you can doubt so far. Same Hamdallah etc. I do think this is ultimately the start of the end for them, because let's be honest you can't stay competitive much longer in those leagues. But they have an history that speaks for them.
