It’s really fascinating when you think about how much Earth has been through.  He went through a lot of phases and exprerinced a lot of stuff since he was created. The impact Hypothesis from being a hot ball of lava and magma to gaining his first life form and being a pale orange dot, the first ice age covered in complete ice and snow, Pangea and the dino era, the asteroid that killed the dinos- that made the Earth hot and covered in smoke and gas thus blocking the Sun rays from entering the Atmosphere and being covered in eternal darkness, the second ice age and then finally the Earth we know Today. But in spite of going through mass extinctions and Catastrophic/Apocalyptic disasters, Earth still manages to retain life. Life didn’t just manage to survive but thrives as well. Being the only planet that got to not only attain life but sustain it for this long in the face of all the challenges and adversity is magnificent. Not to mention the diverse habitats and ecosystems. Earth is just so beautiful and cool. Not to mention all the secrets we haven’t discovered yet, years f history yet to be uncovered, too bad we humans have the habit of destroying everything that’s good. 

Anyway, this is mostly a rant about why Earth is my fav character, with Luna being my second- ofc can’t have Earth without Luna they’re a package deal. I saw the ask from your twitter and thought I’d say my reason, maybe you might resonate with it. Ofc the Solarballs Earth character despite being a jerk has a lot of layers and complexity. He isn’t just a black or white character, which makes him so great. It also being our home planet, also plays a factor. He also just has a lot of angst potential, coupled with his depression, BPD, suicidal thoughts/tendency, the constant pain from earthlings, abandonment issues, etc.

And I love how you characterise Earth in your fic, although it may not always be in line with his canon personality, it’s still close enough to how he’d act. Also the earthlings interactions in you Ghe fic, need more of that. Love you fics,  infinite kudos <3

2. Where do you get your fic ideas?

It depends on what I'm currently consuming, with the exception of already-written fanfic. BUT most of the time those concepts need to be fleshed out, and most of the time I hear a good, REALLY good song lyric that can deepen the concept, or think about it WAY TOO LONG in the shower or when I'm sleeping. its... a hit or miss of ideas basically 😭

4. How do you choose which fics to write?

oh boy okay so. this is a bit embarrassing but because I have so many WIPS I have to use spin the wheel to see choose, especially since idk what to write. but if I'm lowkey inspired with one of my fics, then i'd choose that fic immediately! if I get tired, I'll move on to another one!

5. How many wips do you have? what fandoms/pairings are they for?

i have 4 current wips im actively writing right now. two are for demon slayer with no pairings involved, and two is for solarballs: one is the Jupiter x Uranus fic, and the other is my Jupiter & Sun fic that I'm still going over because IT'S A PAIN TO WRITE. then there's a new brainworm in my head, basically Uranus x Planet X and their relationship, and a Vercury one-shot where the pair have the worst sexual tension ever

22. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

preferably during the process. fun fact, take on me is named "toxic earth and mars yaoi yippee" in my gdocs and its the funniest shit ever. some fics that are based off song lyrics are already prepared, while some I have to create titles out my ass for (e.g: ganymede's one shot, earth going evil)

27. What area of writing do you feel strongest in?

uh. probably descriptions? or figurative speech. i haven't done purple prose in a while but I also think I am good at writing that :P

28. What area of writing do you want to improve in?

FIGHT SCENES!!! also, writing unreliable narrators and showing different points of views, along with ambiguous characters!!! and dialogue because god most of it sounds like I try way too hard

30. How much do you edit your fics? Do you edit as you write or wait until you finish the first draft?

if it's a one-shot, i go over it once, decided it's good enough, and post it. if it's like, a multi-chapter/ or beyond 10k words that's where I genuinely try and look for mistakes. because I might contradict myself two pages in 😭

56. Are there any fics that you would change or rewrite if given the chance?

not really haha! im in denial in thinking that most of them are okay LOL

SO MANY. I didn't expect to get so popular since my au was just for me to indulge and post for!!! after the battle, ganymede, saturn's moons hanging by a thread, and galileo figaro were the ones I didn't expect to blow up. i expected tsunami to blow up since I purposefully made the summary like that LMAO

hmm i guess tuna. i think it's cute! i like the interactions they had and i can see the potential, it just doesn't stick w me for some reason 🤷‍♀️ but it does seem cute

the ghe fic! it took a helluva lot out of me and is still my longest fanfic to date :) it was fun to write and plan and i think it turned out good :)

jupiturnus!!! idek why, it just turns on the dopamine in my brain :) it's why i make so much fanfic for em, cause if i don't do it who else will 😭 its a rarepair if i've ever shipped one (and i've got plenty in this fandom)

Do you daydream a lot before you write, or go for it as soon as the ideas strike?

Oh boy, yeah I daydream a lot haha - usually I get an idea and write down the bare info for it (like the ship and maybe one or two scene ideas) and then I just let it marinate for a bit, usually listening to music or reading! Then ideas usually pop in from there XD I'm a daydreamer all the way

4. How do you choose which fics to write?

Usually it's just whichever one I feel needs attention at the moment? Or whatever my brain latches onto haha

Like yesterday I meant to edit the GHE chapter so it could be posted, but instead I wrote the Earthcury one-shot turned multi-chap (which I wanna finish b4 I post it)

It's very wishy-washy is what I'm saying LOL

5. How many wips do you have?  What fandoms/pairings are they for?

All of WIPs are for SolarBalls haha I can only write for one fandom at a time XD

Okay, so obviously I have the GHE fic, the Jupixturnus fic, the Vercury fic, and now the Earthcury fic (those are all multi-chaps); then I have my oneshots, of which I plan to write Vars, Vearth, another UraEarth, a fluffy Jupiturnus one, a Poly Rocky planets one, and I still have a Sol & Nemesis one with snippets, as well as the post-paranoia Luna fic that still needs its chapter two LOL (and then I have a titanearth smut + jupixturnus smut that i'm thinking abt but shhhhhh)

That doesn't even count the random ideas I've just jotted down in my notes app LOL

‘Okay,’ Earth thought, narrowing his eyes. ‘First midterm is in 7 days. One week. You’ve got this,’ and he pumped his fist, ignoring the weird looks a couple of people threw at him. ‘Just need to study. Actually study for once.’ Then he looked down at the multitude of papers spread out in front of him, his laptop propped open to a chemistry video from a Youtuber he’d found on line, and groaned, letting his face fall onto the table. Across from him, Mars let out a laugh, flipping another page in his book. “Earth, I don’t know what your definition of studying is, but putting your head on the table and giving up is not studying as far I’m aware.” Earth looked up at him through his lashes, sending him as much of an annoyed look as he could muster before groaning again. “Organic Chemistry is going to kill me! Why did I decide to become a biology major?” “I don’t know. Why did I decide to become an Astronomy major?” “Because you’re weirdly obsessed with aliens?” “Wha-” Mars spluttered, putting his book down and looking at Earth. “No!” “Because you weirdly like math?” “No, Earth, because I enjoy astronomy! I like learning about it!” Mars rolled his eyes, taking a sip from his water bottle after a second. “And I know you’re the same way about biology because we’ve been roommates since freshman year!” “Ughh,” Earth whined in response. “Just let me melt into a puddle and evaporate away so I don’t have to take these midterms.” “You could just study for them, you know.” “That was my plan! But that involves studying…” “Oh, wow,” Mars said, throwing him a stare that just dripped with disdain. “Studying involves studying, I really didn’t know that, Earth.” “Fine!” Earth stood up, shoving his stuff haphazardly into his backpack. “I’ll go to the library! And this time, I’m going to actually study!”

Nope! I literally just sit down and start writing oop

21. Do you prefer writing chaptered fics or one-shots?

I prefer writing one-shots just bc it feels simpler, like a one-and-done LOL but multi-chaps can be fun too!!

27. What area of writing do you feel strongest in?

Being able to write a lot 😓 and body language, I feel quite confident in body language LOL

Also my grammar and language use, despite my copious use of em-dashes, semicolons, and ellipses I otherwise really just innately understand most grammar bc of how much I read when I was younger ‼️

DIALOGUE 😭😭😭

37. What fic has been the hardest for you to write?

The GHE fic hands down, it just feels so complicated 😭😭 I'm slowly chugging a lot, we're nearing the last few chapters :D

I find Earth and Mars’s dynamic/friendship awesome! I never realised but Mars always thinks about Earth whenever they aren’t hanging out, example; during the orbit by size arc, Mercury was glad to have someone else besides Venus in his orbit and the first thing Mars say’s is that his worried about Earth being in his orbit since he knows how much he cares about his earthlings. 

During the moon revolution after leaving Earth, Mars goes to Venus and asks him if he’s stopped being Earth’s friend, then proceeds to say how worried he is about leaving Earth alone but can’t keep forgiving him again and again. Venus telling him that Earth needed this. Them trying talk but having nothing in common except Earth.

When the moons came to recruit them for the revolution, them refusing and going out of their way to defend and protect the Earth and his life (potentially risking their lives and serious damage)despite them being upset with him (and saying ‘screw the Earth’ mere minutes ago).

Mars and Earth literally spending time with each other all the time and enjoying each other’s company, their interaction.

Even Earth and Venus’s dynamic duo, him trying to apologise to Earth so they’d stop ignoring him, after they thought he killed his Earthling (astrodude). Him being happy and excited that Earth wanted to be his best friend despite pretending not to, him trying really hard to win the ‘who’s Earths best friend competition’, him refusing to join and defending the Earth from the moons despite being really hurt by him. 

I’m glad Earth changed and tried to get better, cause Mars and Venus both REALLY care about Earth a lot and it really shows.

Solarballs Earth always cared about Luna AU, would the other moons be jealous of Luna?... Since Earth and Luna both have a strong bond, while most other moons are neglected by their planets?... How would Titan feel about seeing Earth treating Luna so well? 🌙

Honestly I think Titan would feel good about it LOL he seems to just want the moons to be treated well,,, so Earth treating Luna well would be a plus in his book

I love your Earth angst, so pls never stop delivering. Just keep feeding us more of it. Though if you add a little fluff, it would be nice.

You’re one of the only ones who does earth centric stories and angst, and deliver them constantly. Earth is my fave character and him and luna’s dynamic is just awesome, my fave duo. Also love Earth and Titan as a duo too- they might not know but they have a lot in common.

I hope this gives you more boost and motivation to write more stories and never burn out (well until you lose motivation).

Awww thank you so much! My multichapter stories are pretty angst-centric because I find that easier to write than fluff somehow haha, but I'll try to inject some more fluffy moments into this last chapter of hush <3

Earth is my definite favorite, and I love Luna too so trust that more of my stories will revolve around them!! I've got another oneshot brewing that's gonna be Earth/Titan and it's got very little angst, it's going to be mostly fluffy, so keep an eye out for that!!

Sol said that he had *almost* all of what’s his back so who or what was he missing? Soulmates for Luna and Neptune? Would they even have soulmates?

What I meant by that was the moons who weren’t involved in the attack on the ship weren’t there in the inn

they didn’t really feature in the story at all but most of the major moons are also sirens (triton is there, and if you didn’t catch it while I didn’t include neptunes baby moons he has a school of fish around him constantly)

I don’t ship Neptune with anybody but Earth, Jupiter, and Saturn, so for this one he just doesn’t have a soulmate LOL 😭😭

if I had the chance I intended to throw triton x Luna in there but I never did get the chance 🤷🏻‍♀️

How do you think Earth and Titan's interaction would’ve been if Mars wasn’t there or if he didn’t speak. Cause we know the only reason Earth reacted in such a way, and said those things was because of What Mars was saying; about Titan being called  ‘the middle Earth’ , calling his ice volcanoes cooler than Earth’s lava ones, and the thing that pushed him to the edge of his rude comment- Having the ability to possibly sustain life.

I mean Earth seemed pretty chill and excited when he first meet Titan and  mistakes him for a planet. I feel like their first impression would have been completely different if they meet under a different circumstance. They could’ve probably gotten along, and Titan would be fanboying Earth while Earth just show offs and soaks all the praises and attention, well until eventually Earth says something his not supposed to.

Finally answering this LOL sorry currently at a family members house 😭😭

I think if Titan chose the right words and ended up stroking Earth’s ego it would’ve been fine for a while 🤷🏻‍♀️ but you’re right in that Earth is tactless and eventually something would’ve happened LOL

But also I’m horrible at speculation my brain literally cannot do it /srs 😭

I just realised that I forgot to mention the moon club scene, where Mars literally came out of nowhere and offered to keep Earth’s axis in check so Luna could leave. Which further proves my point that Mars always thinks about him, like the guy was just waiting for an opportunity and grabbed it.

Yk I’m glad in the new fic you’ve made, you explored the reason why Earth would freeze when an asteroid was flying so dangerously close to him- instead of him trying to dodge or stop/fling it with his gravity.

I always wondered why he never dodged or stopped the asteroids during the moon revolution, especially since it’s been established in the canon that it’s Earth’s favourite game and that his pretty good at it- being the best player at the game(ik it was mostly just for plot reasons so Titan could protect Earth).

I always thought that maybe the reason was because, Earth thought that maybe he deserved it for all the things his done, especially since both his friends risked themselves getting hurt defending him despite what he did. Coupled with him trying to kill himself since he thought ‘everyone would be happier this way’- his earthlings hurting him and wanting to leave him, his attitude towards everyone and them leaving.

But it being due to his trauma and fear, after what happened to the dinosaurs causing him to freeze and trigger his ptsd is genius. 

Thank u! 😊 it’s always a thought in my mind that there’d be lingering issues from the dinosaurs… I mean it was only 165 million years ago which is such a short time when you consider the solar system is 4.5 Billion years old oof

Finally got to read all the chapters of the Ghe fic (Heaven says (you’re in danger)) after much procrastination, despite how excited I was after reading the first chapter that was published. I LOVED it! just was a bit anxious of reading the next chapters of what would’ve happened next (coupled with me being busy with some wedding stuff).

Anyways, now that I’m caught up I can finally say my thoughts and I’m gonna go in detail. So Brace yourself this might be long and I’d probably ramble and repeat a lot, but you asked for it.

I have to say I just LOVE how you incorporated the actual lore of Ghe with your own ideas and hc’s without losing the plot, everything was just so well explained and written! Let me tell that I’m a Earth centric/angst lover, so I’d usually only read those kind of fics. I’ve only ever read all your your Earth centric/angst or stories (except for the paranoia au (Luna pov) and moon switch (Uranus pov),not that I’m against your other fics just not my cup of tea (As you can tell Earth’s my fave). This fic isn’t an Earth centric fic but it might just be my top 1 fic written by you so far, with hush being close 2nd. I loved the way you included all the characters in this fic and gave them a role, and that we actually got to see the effect of the Iris on the whole solar system. How the Iris was introduced, the multiple pov’s, The Iris’s moons and their appearance! The way you balanced the role of all the characters together was immaculate, it just felt so natural, realistic. (Excited noise’s)

The ability of Iris to regenerate is genius, which would make sense why his as strong as to take down whole star systems. His black blood being deadly or at least really harmful to celestial bodies. His his third eye, the claws and they way you described his ability to mind control and take over their bodies gorgeous. 

Love The Iris as a character, such well written villain. Hate him as planet, but love him as a villain. I’ve noticed his the only mentioned as ‘The Iris’ with word starting before his name, and it just sounds so much more sinister and Menacing that way.

The Earthling pov’s are just the best feels like I’m watching a horror, thriller, suspense movie. It’s hard to find a story which is this good. Honestly your description ability are magnificent, you’re not explaining too little to understand, nor are they too excessive, just the right amount. The camera zooms and movements in general in the 2nd chapter and the glitches that appears whenever they mention something important to keep the suspense and anticipation is brilliant. (Applaud)

Dr. Arke, I’m guessing she is a part of Iris’s mutated creations, or maybe she’s a piece of him in earthling form. I’d like to know more about her and what she left exactly in that meeting room, what type of mutated being- was it natures mockery, woodcrawl…?

I was curious about how the sun was asleep, but got that answered with the supernova gem. Though I wanna know can The Iris use any supernova gem to make a star sleep or does every star have their own gem that can be used against them? And how exactly did the Iris get it?

Man poor Neptune, but I’m glad his moons are ok or at least alive despite some being badly injured and others being traumatised. At least he tried protecting them along side Titania.

I wonder what’s causing Saturn to be so tired. I’m guessing it’s the new moon he got - Chiron’s moon bracelet was tight around his wrist so the mutation might have gone through it? His rings were thinning out too, this might have to do with him being a gateway or whatever, if you’re going with that lore from ghe. Though I’m not sure what him being a gateway means exactly.

The Iris finally got what is meant to be ‘his’. I wonder what he plans to do with Earth and the rest of the solar system?- aside from destroying it and leaving everyone dead (except Earth) once his done with it. Is this gonna be like a platonic obsession or like a one sided attraction. And why is he after Earth, is it because of his life or is that just a factor amongst many others?

Will this story have a bad ending or a good sad ending? Is the Iris gonna get what he wants or will his plans fail? I guess I’ll just have to wait to figure out huh.

I hope you get to answer some of my questions if possible without spoiling too much. Overall I’m rating this fics, and it’s a solid 1000000/10 from meh! Ik you might be disappointed by not getting as much written interaction for your recent chapter, so i hope this compensates for that.

Okay, now into the meat of it!! I'm glad u like how I've worked the Iris into it, I wanted him to have these powers that made him such a threat and I'm glad it's working out like that :D I waffle between calling him the Iris and just Iris sm idk if you can tell in the chapters themselves ;-;

Dr. Arke is a sort of piece of the Iris (the way I view it, he can fracture his mind like infinitely many times so that he can more easily take over systems, because otherwise how could he control so many people at once?) sorta like the men in suits in the original GHE (i forget if that's what they are but yeahhh)

We've got one more piece of human lore to cover, and we're returning to Astrowife next chapter (as well as an Astrodude segment!!!); but I gotta be honest y'all the humans are fucked LOL like even in the actual analog horror itself it's kinda like... useless to fight back, the solarballs/ghe universe earthlings are just lucky the planets actually Can fight back LOL

We're not done with Neptune's moons, especially Triton (I luv Triton sm can you tell), they'll be more of them :DDD

Supernova gems are meant to be used for any star, there's no like... tailoring application. Iris has used the same gem over and over again, which also means that sometimes it glitches ;) The Iris has had it for billions of years, and how he originally got it... well, still figuring that out ;)

I'm somewhat going with the GHE lore for Saturn? I have no idea what the gateway thing could mean either, so it's a little different in my AU. You'll see!

The sirens are Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune! Also a couple moons, but I haven't decided who yet.
