Axel Headcanon:
Many times he has picked up lovers and when dissatisfied with them left them with a nasty hex. On some occasions he had secretly been collecting their souls for dark magic, using their past love and lust connection to fuel his power. However, it is noted that it is from their past connection, that he hasn't made any attempt to do this to those he truly cares for. For those who have been unlucky, after a few weeks he tends to view them as a means to an end.
He has also done this in case he ever needs to turn against his mother for he does not believe she will ever truly love him, it has caused a huge ball of anger and resentment to build up over time.
