right okay so i'm guessing 2014 is a semi-popular idea? but the only thing is for canon characters i can only have 1 person on each so idk guys i could do the application things and anyone interested fill them out? then we'll decide where to go from there

Diner Days || axbeautifulxmind

Sam glanced at the clock- nine o'clock. Two hours to go.

It'd been slow for a Friday night, and it wasn't helped by him forgetting all his textbooks. So he'd spent most of the night tapping his fingers, giving sandwiches to truckers and wishing someone a little more interesting would sit at the counter. 

Most of the people near his age came in flocks, so they got boothed- but every once in a while he got in a good conversation. There was a sweet blonde he'd talked to for about an hour the week before, and two guys who looked maybe three years younger than him that popped in pretty frequently, sometimes with two girls he assumed were there girlfriends.

But none of that tonight, or so it seemed. Just an endless cycling of counter wiping and order taking.

There was something about California that always hurt, no matter how long he was away and how much time passed.  There was always a girl with blond hair on his mind, always a life cut too short because she knew him.  Always pain that came with the trip.  But Dean was there, and he couldn't reach him.  So he did the best he could.  It was time to head back.

He had started towards the motel, the one he figured Dean was at, starting down the street as he reflected how small the town was again as he spoke into the phone at his ear.

"Dean, I swear, if you don't pick up, I'm going to kick your ass when I find you." It was tough enough moving from car to car across the country, but to get all the way here.  All he knew was he hoped the other wasn't dead, especially as he fixed the bag on his shoulder.

If so he was going to bring him back and make sure he really felt the kick.

[2- Coffee Shop AU

I might be tempted to change this to a Diner AU, because I already wrote Furb that series of drabbles with Sam working at a diner in college.

Soo, Sam Winchester is a sophomore in college, pouring coffee and studying behind the counter at J.J.’s Diner, host to fellow classmates, old people, and teenagers from the neighboring town, Beacon Hills. And maybe, if he bothered to talk to the group that always sat at the bar, he’d discover that there’s more to them then fashion divas and co-captains.
