I feel like at the start of Deadfire, most of the Watcher's soul missing might cause them to behave a little strangely (beyond just the passing out and the optional memory issues in dialogue choices). In Axa, I see this manifesting as a severe flattening of her normally very vivacious personality, rendering her stolid and apathetic, as well as somewhat blunt and callous. More than usual, even. But with every luminous adra pillar she encounters that connects her to Eothas, a little more of her soul– and herself– comes back to her. But of course, one doesn't come back from something like that unchanged.

does axa, like, shed? and if so, is aloth okay with finding hairs all over his books?

oh yeah, she definitely sheds. like a shorthair cat. more than usual when it's hot out, or if she's stressed. this is pretty normal for orlans; you should see serafen's belongings. she keeps pretty tidy though, even has a little boarhair brush she uses on her body before bathing or dressing, separate from the one she uses to brush the longer hair on her head. it's so routine to her she doesn't even think to mention it to anyone. Aloth is kinda impressed when he finds two brushes, but he puts together the reason why pretty quickly. and he's still impressed! and a lil proud that he learned something about orlans today.

as for whether it bothers him that he keeps finding hairs in his books... a little wind cantrip can take care of that easily enough. (or if he's fatigued or not feeling so fancy, he can just blow on his books, or sweep the hair off with his hand.) he's more bothered when he finds hair on his clothes. or in his mouth. woah haha what who said that
