Lol you could plainly see the CGI around Clark to make it look like the ground as Zod pulled him by his foot. Tom was clearly on a dolly or something that they shooped out.
The green screen behind Zod was also really noticeable. Guess they blew the SFX budget in this one.

this maybe really selfish but I really love the way you write especially when it comes to bellamy and I'm always craving for more of your fics. so if you could share what new fic you've been writing?? what it's about? mayhaps?? I'd be so so happy
Aww, that is not selfish! It’s very sweet actually. I still after all these years I’ve been writing, can’t believe that someone enjoys my writing. But I do love writing Bellamy the most as well, especially hurt!bell.
Well I won’t post it cause I’m sure it won’t be of any interest to anyone plus I’ve written kind of extreme whumpy fics that I’ve posted before and it’ll probably just be repetitive. I’m kind of writing it for my own enjoyment and entertainment.
It’s more of a family fic about Kane and Bellamy + Bellarke on the side. Bellamy and Kane are ex-soldiers, veterans. Kane has been a family friend of the Blakes since he was a child himself-he and Aurora were neighbours and they almost had a thing going but they were mostly good friends. She was a great student but with time she got in with the wrong crowd and got pregnant with Bellamy at eighteen. Her mom kicked her out of the house and Kane promised to take care of her and the baby, welcomed her in his home. But he had his dreams of joining the Army and when his mom got sick he decided he has to because he had no money to pay for her health care. So he had to leave and meanwhile Aurora’s mom died, she moved back into her homeplace and had Bellamy.
Kane was very attached to the kid and even sent them some money whenever he could but when he came back home from his first tour, he found Aurora had kind of went back to her bad path with the alcohol, the drugs and the bad men. He tried to talk to her, wanted to help her but she kind of kicked him off.
And then on and off they connected, he watched Bellamy grow and then Aurora had Octavia from a random man and practically left Bellamy in charge of her while she kept working as a waitress and buying herself drugs and alcohol and finding shitty boyfriends.
Kane would hang with Bellamy and Octavia every time he was home, he’d feed them, because Bellamy especailly was very malnourished from taking care of his sister and giving it all to her. He’d take them places and try to make things a little better. Then as they grew he got Bellamy his first job (at 13) and on and off like this. Bellamy suffered a lot of abuse from Aurora’s boyfriends.
And then when Bellamy was sixteen, Aurora died and Bellamy and Octavia who was ten at the time, were taken away. Bellamy was too old to be adopted and ended up in a group home kind of place but O was young and a family in another state down south (Indra, Gaia and Indra’s husband) wanted to adopt her.
By that time Kane had decided to retire having done four tours but deciding to still do military stuff like teaching cadets so he came home and Bellamy had decided to get himself emancipated and let Octavia be adopted because he belived that he couldn’t possibly give her a good future no matter how hard he tries. That and he also after looking up to Kane all these years, wanted to join the Army.
So Octavia got adopted (and felt betrayed) and Kane took Bellamy to his house after he emancipated himself so he could help him graduate school and join in. He did, they obviously formed a special bond that was already there but it solidified with time. Bellamy joined and then he did three tours before his team up was blown up in battle and he was the only one that somehow miraculously survived.
He came home but he was practically in pieces and at first they told Kane that they’re not sure he’ll make it at all but that even if he does with the extends of his injuries he won’t live longer than five or so years. He had lots of shrapnel in his back and leg, many surgeries, lost hearing and sight to one side that left him half blind and half deaf, could barely move, his heart was fucked up all of it.
And the story starts with Kane and Bellamy at THIS point. Kane however refuses to accept that his kid can ever die and he wants to help Bell who’s sad and depressed and also recently and here a TRIGGER WARNING tried to kms.
But kane takes him to Clarke who he’s heard is a great physio therapist, like the best in the state and begs her to take them in her busy schedule.
She does and from there on it all kind of ensues but it’s still a family story more than a bellarke story, like it’s mostly Kane and Bell. And lots of hurt! Bellamy.
And Lincoln is also one of the nurses at the hospital and Kane and Bellamy both figure out that his fiance is actually Octavia who hasn’t shared anything about her past and now I’m kind of at that point where they see each other again after so many years.
So yeah.
Practically, that’s it LOL

2x5 - Dumbstruck
Original air date:  October 8, 1997
Yay, an episode where TJ is actually acting like a kid! And also an excuse for me to rant about how much I despise group projects.
Tumblr media
A very over it Lisa Simpson (played by Yeardley Smith) is handing back tests to her dumb ass students save for TJ and this annoying white kid named Clark that we’ll be introduced to briefly because Mackey ended up being the lead token white on this show, right next to Yvette’s cute friend Nina.
Tumblr media
Clark asks how TJ did. He humble brags and Marcus snatches his test to gloat about his brother finally not doing well at something. Sike! TJ got a 110 on his assignment. Marcus is dumbfounded since he clearly doesn’t even put in the bare minimum.
Lisa has to remind Marcus that demonstrating how you actually studied will get you more points. She gives her lazy, remedial students a chance to make up for their piteous attempts with a makeup assignment, an oral group report on WW2. Now everyone is mad at TJ because he fucked up the curve of the grading system, facilitating the need for a makeup assignment. Mackey is pissed.
Marcus and Mo of course decide to stick all the work on TJ while they go to Dawgburger. TJ, now wanting to fit in with his cool brother and bestie, agrees but is promptly thrown into a garbage can by Mackey and his 30 year old goon when they give him shit for being smart. Because the plot calls for it in this episode, TJ isn’t masterminding a plan to put fudged up charges on Mackey’s record or flunk him out of school forever.
Tumblr media
At the Henderson crib, TJ is attempting to do the assignment but the boys are watching The Three Stooges with non-copyright stock sound effects and can’t be bothered to lower the volume. Even Floyd stops scolding Marcus and Mo to join them. Apparently, TJ thinks being a genius and being entertained by slapstick are mutually exclusive.
Yvette is in the kitchen frowning at her fruitless yogurt when TJ comes in to whine about feeling left out. Yvette, as usual, is there to provide motherly advice and reassure TJ that he’s too brilliant to relate to simpleton humor. She even suggests that he’ll be the only non crooked black politician on the Supreme Court. Aww. TJ will revenge porn her in the future.
Just then, a truck pulls in with daddy Floyd’s wood--hehe--and the boys, including Mo, gather in the garage to bring in Floyd’s wood--last time, I promise--to wherever it needs to go.
Yvette comes in after the gang delegates how the work flow will commence and then commands the plot for the episode when she tells TJ his shoe is untied while Mo and Marcus are handing boards to each other. This ended well.
Tumblr media
After passing out, Marcus, who is terrifyingly not alarmed, just calls for Floyd and then we end up at the hospital where it seems that TJ’s relatively light board smack has now rendered him dumb. Not only dumb but more childish than usual.
Tumblr media
Marcus cares nothing about TJ’s prognosis, however, because he is a horny teenage boy and the doc is hot. Yvette has to literally drag him out of the room by his ear.
The doctor tells Floyd that this strange concussion could leave TJ acting like this for weeks. Of course Floyd is concerned since TJ is gifted. The next morning, TJ is so forgetful and delayed at breakfast that Floyd and Yvette have to play charades to help him navigate feeding himself.
Marcus comes in and asks if TJ is back to normal because he doesn’t want to do anything that makes him use his own damn brain for a change. After Flody sees this because Marcus did it right in the kitchen where he was about three feet away, he of course takes Marcus aside to tell him to quit badgering TJ to get well again.
At school, Mo thinks it’s a good idea to simply undo TJ’s problem by hitting him in the head again. Since we’re working off corny sitcom logic, he’s not exactly off base here. I mean, it did only take two light hits from a wooden board to turn TJ into an imbecile so why not do the same to get him back to normal, right?
During class, TJ is wowing everyone with his diminished IQ that was announced to everyone in the class for some reason. Eh, it’s Piedmont so I really shouldn’t be surprised that all of his business is out there.
Lisa is pissed because now that TJ is dumb and she hates Clark for some reason, teaching will be damn near impossible because nobody participates. I think I feel her pain because she asks a super easy question (what naval base did the Japanese attack) and nobody but annoying ass Clark answers. Poor thing. She probably came into this profession bright-eyed and bushy tailed, ready to change students’ lives and become the next Erin Gruwell but ended up becoming nothing more than a de facto babysitter.
TJ is taking advantage of being one of the guys by making fun of the more deadly effects of dropping bombs and says it led to radioactive monsters. The boys laugh but Lisa is aggy that nobody is taking this seriously. To spite her idiot students, she makes the reports worth half of their grade. Mackey blames Clark instead of the teacher who literally just assigned it. For some reason, this tickles Clark even though he’s going to end up in the garbage soon.
Tumblr media
Since TJ is one of the guys again, he manages to tag along with the crew at Dawgburger, a place he wasn’t invited to earlier since he was going to do their group assignment all by himself. In hindsight, I hated group projects because I did all of the work anyways since my cohorts were dumb as rock boxes, so this wouldn’t have bothered me at all. Abolish group projects!
Post Dawgburger, TJ is in bed reading a comic and shooting the shit with Marcus. This is sweet. I like seeing siblings bond on TV shows because the regular narrative always seems to involve them all hating each other. Here, there’s no drama, just Marcus actually being responsible because he’s studying for the oral report and TJ, in what would be his natural state if he weren’t a genius. They even have a heart to heart when TJ asks if he’ll be okay and what would happen once he’s back to normal. Marcus says he’ll still stick up for him. Aww.
Tumblr media
In geometry the next day, TJ’s intelligence just comes right back after he flawlessly recites the Pythagorean theorem when the dorky teacher asks. Once he realizes this, and after having probably the few easiest days in a while, TJ understandably commits to pretending to be a dolt. That is until pops sees TJ’s quantum physics magazine inside of a comic book!
Floyd traps TJ by making up a pretty damn good scenario in the Jughead comics but later confirms the lie by letting TJ know that wasn’t in the comic. He goes into how he likes being dumb with the guys because they like him more. Makes sense! TJ has nothing in common with them outside of attending their school but now he’s intellectually on their level. He knows this would change once he goes back to his regular self. Floyd should know this too but alas. I do love how he tells TJ he won’t rat on him. TJ returns the favor by telling his dad that he should write for the Jughead comics because that story he made up made him LOL super hard.
We cut to school where Mackey is just finishing up his group presentation about the X-Men invading Iwo Jima. Lisa Simpson isn’t impressed. Marcus and crew are up next and poor Marcus is struggling. I think it’s so funny that Marcus, a singer with a whole ass band, has stage fright upon trying to remember everything he studied for but just goes to show that music comes easier to him than school.
The internal monologues of everyone come up. Marcus is trying to remember what he studied. TJ contemplates bringing his brain back. Mo is...fucking beatboxing in his head. This shit had me dead when I first saw this episode.
Tumblr media
However, Lisa ain’t having it. She is two seconds away from using the dreaded red pen before TJ saves the day and begins talking about WW2. The boys are shocked but it helps trigger Marcus’s memory and then he’s able to spew out the facts. Mo doesn’t contribute but he will definitely take the credit!
Tumblr media
Later in the Henderson crib, Marcus is pissed because TJ almost let them fail. Although TJ is reminding Marcus that he put his effort into something and it paid off, Marcus is still annoyed leading TJ to think he doesn’t like him anymore.
Marcus explains that he enjoyed TJ’s company when he was dumb because he finally felt like what he is: his older brother. Kind of hard to feel that way when your younger brother is better at everything you do and a major know-it-all. He even admits that he can’t even pretend now that TJ is smart again because it won’t feel the same. I like when Marcus is doing more than chasing girls every episode because he shows maturity at times that is pleasing to watch.
He offers to instead be an older brother in other ways like threatening other people with violence if they make fun of TJ. Cute, but we all know Marcus is scary. Nice gesture though! Floyd comes in and tells the boys good night. At the end, we see Floyd took TJ up on his advice and is submitting an idea to the Jughead comics. Aww Floyd. I wish we’d gotten a subtle nod to if his idea was used because he seemed really happy with himself afterwards. Eh, whatever. Parents aren’t people so who cares.
Tumblr media
Things I noticed:
- Clark being oddly satisfied that he knows Mackey and his fellow middle-aged adult friend are going to put him in the trash. Clark either has a crush on Mackey and didn’t like TJ for the attention he got from Mackey or he has some sort of a trash fetish. Or both. Maybe that’s why Lisa doesn’t fuck with him.
Tumblr media
- “Okay students, now watch as I turn left to a right triangle.” I’m a dork and this actually made me laugh. Tough classroom, though.

The 100 rewatch 1.07 Contents Under Pressure
Oh I didn’t realize that the Ark Council didn’t want to believe that the flare signals was actually a message from the 100. They stripped Abby of her council pin.... and THERE’S Raven with her radio signal.
Oops, you fuckers. Kane with his evil hair. He was so mean to Abby.
Sinclair trying to get Raven off the arkwide signal and Clarke talks to Abby. She’s not dead!
Did she say stabbed by a grounder? The earth is survivable,we’re not alone. All the adults shocked shocked I tell you. How long could they have been on earth? And Clarke tells Jaha that Wells is dead. They’re all shocked shocked I tell you. As if they didn’t send them down there to die. As if it wasn’t still dangerous. It turns out the radiation won’t kill them, just the grounders.
The hurricane is getting worse and Monty, Jasper and Bellamy are still out there. Raven taking charge of the tech, Clarke taking charge of the med, and Bellamy taking charge of the grounder prisoner. Hello Lincoln.
“This is not who we are,” Clarke says. “It is now,” Bellamy says.
Yes yes. let’s save Finn. of course that’s very narratively important blah blah. Wake me when something else happens.
Octavia and Lincoln. You know, I know Linctavia is sweet and all but I never really connected to them that much. Bellamy is desperate to know about the grounders and why they are killing them.
The grounders are killing them. They are actually hunting them. I do not understand how people can act like the grounders are the innocent victims who never did nothing wrong when the evil invader skybrats came and destroyed their peaceful way of life. That is just not the story.
oh look. Diana Sydney. Never liked her. I imagine we’ll see someone like Diana Sydney on The Eligius. Jaha fighting for his authority with her. She’s butting into chancellor business. “Activated project Exodus.” Lies Diana. You are not an ally.
Lincoln pretending to not speak english. Creepy journal. Oh it’s Miller. Hai Miller. “These aren’t bad,” Bellamy says, impressed with his drawing skills, until he gets to the creepy Octavia drawing, and the creepy crossing out of delinquent numbers. Watching people is creepy, Lincoln.
Clarke telling Bellamy’s stooge to get the hell out of her way. lol. She does not agree with Bellamy’s methods. She’s thinking long term. Bellamy did actually take tactical care. “How many more of our people need to die until you realize we’re fighting a war.”
“Look at him, Bellamy, we can’t win.” “Right, we can’t win if we don’t fight.” Do you think we’ll see a replay of THAT dynamic? Oh, will Clarke take someone prisoner? (ZEKE!) Sorry I’m too eager for Zeke to get into the story.
Vera with Marcus. Arkers aren’t happy with him because of the culling. How much you wanna bet there will be a replay of THAT dynamic in s5. “You were supposed to protect us...” Jaha doesn’t want anymore secrets, Kane wants them. Guessing we get a reverse of that. “320 people. If I had waited a day, two days, they’d still be alive.” His guilt is starting. “I was so sure. I swore an oath to protect and defend these people, instead I killed them.” Yeah we’ll see that.
Oh Clarke figured out Lincoln used poison and all of a sudden she’s not so peaceful. She’s so BOSSY. And aggressive towards Lincoln. Oh he understands her, Octavia. Clarke looks to Bellamy and asks him to do something (non verbal communication yo.)  Octavia fighting about this not being who we are. We’ll see that change up, too. I’m seeing more hints of what might happen in the Bunker with this episode. How far people will go in dire straights. The constraints. Contents under pressure. The bunker will be under pressure. Bellamy whipping Lincoln with the belt and Clarke stops him for him to tell. Lincoln gets ready for more torture, because he’s used to that.
Jaha telling the Ark that the culling gifted them time, but the earth is survivable and mankind is going home. “How do we know you’re not still lying.” He is lying about how many people are going to get home. Do you know how many THOUSANDS of people are about to die in both the rebellion/exodus crash AND the Ark crash?  Jaha flips about losing his son when they attack him for his deceptions.
Oh now Bellamy is going to stick the awl through his hand. ugh. He tries to let Clarke out of it. why so concerned with her emotions?
Uh oh. Raven gets ready to torture Lincoln. Our innocent baby Raven who never hurts anyone is FRYING Lincoln. Once, twice is that three times? This does affect Lincoln. He’s terrified. Octavia pulls her knife act, because she’s sure he won’t let her die. I mean she’s right, but I’m not so thrilled with that Romeo and Juliet love at first sight thing. Sorry. That’s part of why I never got into it.
And Octavia is furious at Bellamy for torture and we KNOW that in s5, Bellamy is going to be hollistic and reasonable and Octavia is going to be dark and brutal and covered in blood. So look for a reversal of THAT dynamic. INTERESTING. What would it be like to have Octavia be the one who needs Bellamy’s forgiveness for her brutality? Are we going to see torture in the Ark?
“I can’t do this without you,” Clarke cries to unconscious Finn. Aww sweetie. She doesn’t even know. Will we see a replay of that?
Oh now she’s being a bitch to Abby about Jake. There’s another thing that she doesn’t even know about. Doesn’t know how far she’ll go and how many people she’ll kill and sacrifice. And she wouldn’t listen to Abby’s side.
Kane with Vera feeding the tree. I’d like to see Kane as a spiritual leader in the bunker. “The question is will you be able to forgive yourself?”
Lincoln lets Octavia treat his wounds but not Clarke. Bitchy Octavia. “For the record, you didn’t save Finn, that was me, but whatever you want to tell yourself to feel better.”  ALTHOUGH that is what EVERYONE says to make their evil action “okay.” Always trying to save someone.
Lincoln all tortured and battered and hung up and still macking on O. In English.
“She needs you Finn,” Clarke says. He doesnt’ answer. “Raven, he’s awake. He’s asking for you.” He wasn’t. Creep.
Clarke and Bellamy as a team, getting it cleaned up. “Who we are and who we need to survive are very different things.” They’re talking about keeping Lincoln captive. “It’s not easy being in charge, is it?” He’s not happy.

“Prisoner’s Dilemma”
1. Was Ethan just the first to grab the case? Honestly it felt more like Natalie should’ve been on the PEDS case and him on the coma patient but…whatevs.
2. It’s very “April” for her to be back at work again but I wish they would’ve elaborated on what “different” between her and Tate meant, you know like an actual scene that communicates their sorrow or the strain and tension the death of a child whether born or unborn has on a new couple. From a storytelling standpoint this is so disappointing.
3. Spanish is their first language I have never met a native speaker that rather speak English than their native tongue when given the choice especially when there is someone that can speak said native language.
4. I really wonder how many times Torrey Devitto did that scene where she introduces herself practically yelling at the coma patient…I was laughing and there was a moment when I swear I saw humor in the actresses’ eyes.
5. Erin’s here I wonder if they find out who the assailant is on Chicago PD?
6. I wonder why Reese was visiting a psychiatric hospital.
7. Aww Latham and his dad jokes.
8. Ugh poor April, I think it’s sweet that Noah is trying to feed April’s pain away.
9. Maggie um no there are lots of things to say, and no one knowing what to say almost comes off as the writer’s subtly telling us they won’t really deal with April’s sadness…in fact I’m sure of it considering the next episode is about the brink of Natalie’s depression…
10 Holy crap this woman could hear EVERYTHING her parents said….about wishing she would die….damn.
11. I hate the ping-ponging they do with Ethan, one minute he’s learning and growing and not so sure about his opinion on things at least ethically; like he shouldn’t be viewing things so black and white and then we get this hardnosed Ethan that can’t see the bigger picture. Every episode is a tradeoff between who can be more judgmental Natalie or Ethan. We have seen this narrative with him too many times, the teenage girl that gave birth and left the baby in the backpack as he argued with a pregnant Natalie about what childbirth is like or when he got in Vicky Glasses face over VA hospital procedure even though he had no idea how things worked at the VA.…shit is getting old. He has this horrible way of always thinking that he knows best or that right is right and wrong is wrong based off of policy and not morality. He would’ve been a Milgram soldier. #drug mule mom
12. Jeff Clarke’s eyes ALWAYS appear to be smiling. It’s nice. I love that he was legitimately the hero this episode, underrated but the hero.
13. I saw this Latham story a mile away…once again writers. Do better.
14. Strangely still a fan of Dr. Abrams he’s so icy and I love him.
15. This Dr. Wheeler crap is written well….like crap. I hate making the comparisons all the time with Grey’s Anatomy because it’s ABC which is a different network but even ER made us care and love the staff better than Med does. We haven’t been allowed to connect to Dr. Wheeler so his death is going to be shallow and sensationalized. I would not call him “beloved.”
Not to mention there is NOT enough of an interaction between he and Reese for him to have this effect on her for the future episodes. Grey’s did this better having the med students and residents work together and form bonds so that when George died or when Cristina left it was felt and it was meaningful and it impacted the story. You can see the loss on the Grey’s staff.
This will not be the case with Wheeler because this show has a heavy handed procedural feel with light human portions and from what I’ve seen on other blogs it doesn’t follow hospital procedure that well so it’s strength should be the human portion, the story telling of people and their relationships to each other and frankly it’s kind of failing. They have not figured out how to balance the characters personal stories with their cases.
However if Wheeler jumps off the building and lands on….I don’t know Dr. Latham, that would be awful and it would actually resonate because this season they have tried to halfway develop the Latham.
