Preparation Study Strategies to Follow for RHCE and RHCSA Exams
Are you planning to attempt the upcoming RHCE and RHCSA Exams? If yes, then keep in mind that it needs strategic preparation. You may feel preparing for the exam is a tedious task. However, if you choose the strategic preparation steps, you can get ready for the exam.
 It is true that RHCE is a difficult exam, but strategic preparation and training in RHCE RHCSA Classes in Ahmedabad will help you succeed. Here is your preparation guide for the exam;
Take Coaching for the RHCE RHCSA Exams
Taking coaching from professional tutors is the foremost step in preparing for the exams. Coaching will help you assess your readiness, and you can evaluate your performance and progress during the training sessions. Moreover, you can keep track of the topics covered and to be covered. The exam may not focus on lab activities, but the training sessions in coaching centres will still offer valuable insights into the practical concepts. The tutors will help you understand the exam objectives. Therefore, consider enrolling in Red Hat Training and Certification in Ahmedabad to start preparation for your RHCE RHCSA Exams.
Prefer Hands-On Practice
Preparing for the Red Hat Certified Engineer exam is challenging due to its hands-on nature. Instead of multiple-choice questions, the exam entirely focuses on practical tasks that the candidate must complete within the allotted time. The study materials provide valuable information but primarily focus on the basics. In order to excel in the, you need to do continuous hands-on practice. If you have enough time, focus on reading the material and also prioritise practising the techniques to ensure your success.
Join A Red Hat Learning Community
Some candidates feel learning alone can become tedious. Also, maintaining momentum is essential for the exam's success. Hence, it is better to seek support from others who are on the same journey. For example, connecting with fellow candidates who are diligently preparing for the Red Hat Certified Engineer exam.
Moreover, Red Hat has recently launched a Red Hat Learning Community that aims to help candidates learn together. Here, you can engage with fellow members and maximise the benefits of this platform. The community serves as a valuable alternative for those using the self-paced training option. However, keep in mind to stick to the information provided by Red Hat, if you ignore it can jeopardize your credibility and eligibility for the exam. The above strategic preparation tips can help you succeed in the RHCE and RHCSA Exams with a good score. Make sure to join a coaching institute that offers training for this exam. If you are looking for a reputed institute, you can consult Highsky IT Solutions.

***************************** To configure an AWS billing alarm, you need to set up Amazon CloudWatch Alarms. These alarms can be triggered based on defined thresholds, allowing you to monitor your AWS usage and get notified when your estimated charges exceed a certain limit. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to configure an AWS billing alarm:
Step 1: Sign in to the AWS Management Console Go to the AWS Management Console and sign in to your AWS account.
Step 2: Navigate to the CloudWatch Console In the AWS Management Console, find and click on the "Services" dropdown. Under the "Management & Governance" section, click on "CloudWatch." Step 3: Access Billing Metrics In the CloudWatch console, find and click on "Billing" in the left navigation pane. Select "Billing" from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Create a Billing Alarm In the "Billing" dashboard, click on the "Create Alarm" button.
In the "Create Alarm" wizard, you'll see a list of metrics. Select the "Total Estimated Charge" metric.
Choose the appropriate statistic, such as "Maximum."
Set the conditions for the alarm. For example:
Threshold Type: Static Whenever: "Total Estimated Charge" is greater than [your specified amount]. Define actions for the alarm. This includes specifying an SNS (Simple Notification Service) topic to notify you when the alarm is triggered. If you haven't set up an SNS topic, you'll need to create one.
Provide a name and description for your alarm.
Click "Create Alarm" to save your configuration.
Step 5: Set Up Notifications If you haven't created an SNS topic:
Open the SNS console in a new tab. In the left navigation pane, click on "Topics" and then "Create topic." Provide a name and display name for your topic. Under "Access Policy," choose "Advanced" and add a policy that allows CloudWatch to publish to this topic. Click "Create topic." Go back to the CloudWatch console.
In the left navigation pane, click on "Alarms." Select your alarm from the list. Click the "Actions" tab. Under the "Actions" section, click "Add notification." Select the SNS topic you created. Click "Update Alarm."
Step 6: Test the Alarm You can test the alarm by intentionally exceeding the billing threshold you set. This will trigger the alarm and send a notification to the specified SNS topic.
By following these steps, you've configured an AWS billing alarm to monitor your estimated charges and receive notifications when they exceed a defined limit. Adjust the alarm threshold and notification settings based on your specific needs and budget considerations.

How to Advance Your Career with AWS Certifications

As organizations increasingly migrate their workloads to the cloud, the demand for skilled AWS professionals has surged. If you're looking to advance your career in the IT industry, AWS certifications can be your ticket to success. We'll explore how AWS certifications can propel your career forward and provide a step-by-step guide to achieving them.
The Power of AWS Certifications
AWS certifications are widely recognized in the IT industry and are considered a valuable asset for both newcomers and seasoned professionals. Here are some key reasons why AWS certifications can supercharge your career:
1. Industry Recognition
AWS is a trusted name in cloud computing, and their certifications are well-respected by employers worldwide. Holding an AWS certification demonstrates your expertise and commitment to staying current in a rapidly evolving field.
2. Career Advancement
AWS certifications can open doors to new job opportunities and promotions. Many organizations prefer to hire certified professionals because they are seen as more capable and knowledgeable in AWS technologies.
3. Increased Earning Potential
Certified AWS professionals often command higher salaries than their non-certified counterparts. According to a survey by Global Knowledge, AWS-certified individuals earn an average salary that is significantly above the industry average.
4. Skill Validation
Obtaining an AWS certification validates your skills and knowledge in specific AWS services and technologies. It serves as concrete evidence of your expertise in the eyes of potential employers.
Choosing the Right AWS Certification
AWS offers a wide range of certifications, catering to various roles and skill levels. Before you embark on your certification journey, it's essential to choose the one that aligns with your career goals and current experience. Here are a few popular AWS certifications:
1. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Designed for individuals with little or no cloud experience, this entry-level certification provides a broad overview of AWS services, cloud concepts, and basic architectural best practices.
2. AWS Certified Solutions Architect
This certification is ideal for those interested in designing distributed systems on AWS. It covers topics like architectural best practices, security, and scalability.
3. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
Focused on system operations and management, this certification is suitable for individuals responsible for deploying, managing, and operating systems on AWS.
4. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
For those interested in automation, this certification validates skills related to continuous delivery, automation, and managing infrastructure as code.
5. AWS Certified Security - Specialty
For security professionals, this certification focuses on securing AWS workloads and implementing advanced security measures.
Steps to AWS Certification Success
Now that you've decided on the right certification, here are the steps to help you achieve your goal:
1. Set Clear Goals
Define your career goals and how AWS certifications align with them. Having a clear vision will keep you motivated throughout your certification journey.
2. Choose Relevant Training Resources
AWS provides extensive documentation and training resources, including online courses, practice exams, and official study guides. Consider enrolling in AWS Certified training courses, which are designed to help you prepare for the exams.
3. Hands-On Experience
Practice is key to mastering AWS. Create your AWS account and experiment with the services covered in your chosen certification. Hands-on experience will deepen your understanding and boost your confidence.
4. Study and Prepare
Devote time to study and review the certification's objectives. Use study guides, practice exams, and community forums to reinforce your knowledge.
5. Take Practice Exams
Practice exams are invaluable for gauging your readiness. They help you identify areas where you need to improve and build your test-taking skills.
6. Schedule and Take the Exam
Once you feel confident in your knowledge, schedule your exam. AWS offers both online and in-person testing options to accommodate your preferences.
7. Stay Informed
AWS constantly updates its services and certifications. Stay informed about changes and consider pursuing additional certifications to continue growing in your career.
Conclusion
AWS certifications have become a gold standard in the IT industry, and they offer an excellent opportunity to advance your career. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to level up your skills, there's a certification tailored to your needs. Remember that certification is a journey, not a destination. Keep learning, stay updated, and embrace the dynamic world of AWS to unlock the full potential of your cloud computing career. With dedication and the right certifications, you can be on your way to a brighter and more rewarding future in the world of cloud computing.

AWS cloud computing as a career
Cloud computing is a technology that enables the user to store, access or process data from any location. It is a distributed network of servers and storage devices which can be accessed by users from anywhere in the world through internet connection.
Amazon Web Services was one of the companies that started the cloud computing craze. It provides on-demand cloud computing services to customers in 190 countries globally.
The company has grown rapidly since its inception and has seen a steady increase in revenue each year, with an average annual growth rate of 45%.
So why use an AWS certificate instead of Azure or Google Cloud? The simple answer is that more than 40% of cloud-based platforms operate on Amazon servers .This means that if you will be working on legacy projects or developing new ones, the strangest thing is that you will need a deep understanding of AWS. Almost no companies work exclusively with Azure or Google Cloud, but some work primarily with AWS. Your future AWS career path has many possibilities because AWS-certified professionals are in high demand.

‘tis my birthday today (it’s gotta be one of the worst birthdays to have, we don’t need to talk about it) anyways that’s where this is coming from
(also i’m not trying to imply that jan 1 is eddie’s bday. i wouldn’t wish that on anybody. besides, he is def a weirdo february aquarius)
The second half of the calendar year is nothing short of pandemonium for Eddie and Steve and their three daughters.
Moe’s birthday in late July kicks it off, almost immediately followed by Steve’s birthday in early August, then Hazel’s in September. Robbie’s birthday comes mere days after Halloween, and from there they dive headfirst into the bedlam of the holiday season.
Much to Eddie's relief, they all made it to yet another New Year's Day, and while the girls are definitely feeling the end-of-winter-break blues, Eddie welcomes the reprieve in festivities, brief as it may be.
His own birthday is up next – though not for another month.
He’s really not a birthday kind of guy. Never had been.
He loves making birthdays exciting for Steve and their daughters (they have a whole slew of traditions and everything – there’s names spelled out in pancakes involved; it's a very big deal), but his own…not so much.
It managed to fly under the radar for the past few years, but since this year is the big Five-Oh, he knows Steve won’t let him get away with that again.
Eddie has a complicated relationship with his birthday. When he was younger and the weight of Birthday Importance was at its peak, he never really celebrated the way other kids got to, and now, as an adult, he doesn’t know how to feel the things you’re supposed to feel about your birthday.
Steve does a good job, despite Eddie’s weirdness.
His favorite, Eddie thinks, was the year Moe was born, when Steve had managed to catch him off guard by renting a tiny cottage up in Maine for a few days.
“Moe or no Moe,” Steve had asked, “I’ve got Rob and Nance on standby.”
(They’d taken Moe. She saw snow for the first time. It was amazing, and people who don't want to involve their kids in stuff are a bunch of fucking weirdos).
Steve gives him a letter every year – handwritten on notebook paper and folded into whatever cheesy card he picks out.
Eddie keeps most of the letters in a fireproof lockbox along with all their passports and social security cards and birth certificates (look – Eddie doesn’t fuck around with priceless shit), but he keeps the most recent one – the one Steve gave him for his forty-ninth birthday nearly a year ago – in the top drawer of his bedside table.
He has it pretty much memorized at this point.
It says:
Ed! (with an exclamation point and everything – god, does Eddie love him)
49.
Holy shit we’re getting old.
Writing this is making me think about all the ones from the beginning, when I’d write about our future together even though we didn’t have a damn clue what we were working towards for a while.
I think we’re in it, man. Crazy, right?
(The ink color suddenly switches from blue to purple)
Sorry for the color change. Hazy decided she needed a blue pen immediately. Hope your vision hasn’t gone totally to shit and you can still read the purple.
Anyways, since I have you hostage reading this, I’m gonna take the opportunity to discuss you, because you don’t let me in real life most of the time.
You are gorgeous. Best looking face I’ve ever seen. I wonder how much time I’ve lost off my day just staring at you (actually, not a loss. I take that back)
You suck at puzzles – I know that sounds bad, but it’s great for me. I need that to rub off on Moe because she’s getting pretty good and that’s gonna be a problem for me.
You make me laugh so fucking hard every day. I’m praying the girls get your sense of “elevated” humor or whatever you like to call it
You’re so fucking smart, Eddie. I count myself lucky for it endlessly
You are completely 100% you all the time. I’m still working on that I think but I’m getting there because of you. I’m glad all that shit we went through didn’t take that away from you.
the BEST dad. Can’t believe I didn’t say that sooner. Not to brag but our kids are turning out pretty awesome (can’t go around saying that too much though it’ll go right to their heads and then any power we have left goes out the window)
You’re probably the best person I’ve ever known. Don’t think I’ll be forgetting what a catch you are any time soon, because I won't.
Thank you for loving me even all these years later. My life is better every day that I’m with you.
We’ll keep things quiet this year. Don’t get used to it though. Next year’s gonna be a rager.
Love you always!
- Steve :) ♡ ☆

With a quick search, Penelope finds out that Darrin's state-appointed psychiatrist is Charles Cipolla. If Darrin can't get his medicine at the pharmacy then he's going to pay a visit to the one person who can prescribe him more. You three rush over to his office but you're too late. Rossi and Emily are already here along with the local police because not only is Charles dead, but another one of his patients is.
The same ripped-apart energy is all over the office. Darrin was definitely here and killed both of these men.
"His energy is falling apart faster. Soon, he's going to be killing left and right regardless if they touch him or not."
"Why can't you find him?" Hotch snaps at you.
You open your mouth to snap something back at him when Derek stops you. He knows what you're going to say so he steps in to prevent you from getting in trouble.
"She is. We all are."
Hotch scoffs and stalks off angrily. You decide to give him some time to cool off and address the mess inside instead.
"He cleaned up and changed his clothes," Lieutenant Kevin Mitchell says and holds up the bloody clothes with gloved hands. The psychiatrist's clothes are also missing which means Darrin is wearing them. "He could have dyed his hair for all I know."
"He's suffering from a psychotic break. He's not dodging us on purpose."
"If he was psychotic, why would his doctor take him off the drugs?"
"Call didn't have any history of violent behavior. Cipolla couldn't predict that would happen," Rossi says.
"Look at this place. It's a mess but it looks like Call was looking for something."
"Yeah, the drugs," Kevin scoffs.
"No, the doctor never keeps the drugs in their offices. The scrip pad is still on the desk. My guess is he came here for help."
Derek looks through the files in the cabinets but can't find Darrin's.
"His file is missing." Penelope calls Derek and he puts her on speakerphone. "Yeah, baby girl, what's going on?"
"Where's Hotch? He's not answering."
"He's outside. He's doing alright. What's up?"
"A mystery."
"Come on, not today Garcia."
"I know. Here's the deal. When I missed the antipsychotics--"
"Listen to me. That was not your fault."
"You are ever my champion, sugar, but I believe it was. Anyway, when I did that, I went back to the beginning except there is no beginning."
"What are you talking about?" you ask.
"Darrin Call didn't exist like from 1969 to 1975. There's no birth certificate, no social security, and no identity. Nothing until he was six years old."
"Was he abandoned?"
"My least three favorite words strung together... I don't know. My guess is neither does he." Rossi leaves to grab Hotch so he can hear what Penelope has to say. She does more research into Darrin that might tell her what happened to him in his early years. "On May 1, 1975, a six-year-old Darrin Call was found roaming in the middle of nowhere and was picked up. He was in state care for the first few months."
"Did he tell the cops what happened?"
"No, because he didn't talk, not for over a year. Once he started talking, he only knew his life as Darrin Call."
"That's awful," JJ sighs.
"So is this. Little Darrin was never claimed."
"Maybe he wasn't from the area. There wasn't a thriving missing children's network in 1975."
"Call is wearing Cipolla's clothing. I don't know if he's lucid or not, but he is definitely freaked out. Either way, we should update the public," Derek says to JJ.
"What is this?" the Lieutenant asks at the piece of paper JJ has.
"Call's timeline."
"He left Louisville?"
"Three times, but he always came back to the same ten-block radius."
"Why?"
"Victims are often drawn to the scene of their first trauma. Part of him wanted to escape. The other part probably struggled to find answers."
"Was he hospitalized?" Hotch asks.
"For two years starting in 1885."
"And again in '95 for a few months," Penelope adds. "For both times, he stayed at the state facility in Fayette County."
"You know he doesn't drive. Do you think he'd walk all the way out there?" Kevin asks.
"He's desperate. I think he'll find a way."
"I'll tell the sheriff in Fayette," the Lieutenant says and walks away.
"When did he start the prescriptions, Garcia?"
"In 1977 and it looks like he tried them all. I've got a list. Alphabetically, Alprazolam, Clonazepam, Diazepam--"
"Just send it."
"Yes, sir."
"His doctor weaned him off the prescription for a reason. Now, that's a big risk so the reward must have been greater."
"He needs the truth. Maybe he stopped taking the prescription on his own. He's looking for answers. He's got his file so the answers are in there."
"We need to catch up before he kills someone else."
You continue to do research with the team back at the police station. Penelope is on speakerphone with everyone trying to help.
"I found some records from child services that have him extremely physically abused. No signs of sexual assault, though."
"That's a miracle."
"Either way, the trauma was debilitating. Was he running from an abusive home or an abduction?"
"Wouldn't there be a paper trail if it were a kidnapping?" Lieutenant Mitchell asks.
"Garcia, look for unsolved missing children's cases from the 1970s."
"Okay, there's a case in Hollow Creek. The kids were dead though and were found in pieces."
"When was this?"
"'75. Nobody talks about it because they never found the guy. Do you think Call walked away from there?"
"It's possible. Garcia, send me everything."
"Done."
Can you find the case file?" Hotch asks the Lieutenant.
"I'll do what I can."
The Lieutenant leaves and returns twenty minutes later with two boxes full of stuff on the Hollow Creek case. Spencer reaches into the first box and grabs several files.
"Is there a suspect list?" JJ asks.
"It's in there somewhere."
"He was known as the Hollow Creek killer. Three bodies were found with some being never identified. There's a survivor. It's not Call, it was a 12-year-old boy named Tommy Phillips. His parents said he was missing for two weeks and came back a different kid."
"Of course, he did. Can you blame him?"
"Let's see. The family left Louisville after Tommy told police where to find the bodies. He also said the suspect was a white man in his thirties and drove a red pickup truck."
"We need to find Tommy."
"He'd be forty-six now. His parents probably changed his name and got as far away as possible."
"Garcia can find him," Hotch says with faith. "Garcia, send everything you can find on Tommy Phillips."
"Yes, sir."
"The stock boy's blade is what set him off in the pharmacy. If this is what Call's been running from, it's no wonder he's blocked it out," JJ says as she watches the footage again.
"Since he's clean now, there's no medication to block his memories and he wants answers. Where would he go?"
"To what he knows."
"He doesn't know anything. That's the problem."
"He's beginning to. He became Darrin Call at the Sterner Orphanage. I say we start there," you suggest.
You, Hotch, Emily, and the Lieutenant go over to the orphanage to see the local police already there. Darrin did come here looking for answers but ended up stabbing the woman in charge of the place. He also kidnapped a child which he hadn't done before. Derek talks to a witness who is across the street, Hotch immediately talks to the woman who was stabbed, and you study the energy. It's like it gets more unhinged the more you look at it. This kind of energy compared to the one you found at the pharmacy is way different. Both are falling apart but the one at the pharmacy is more put together than the one you see here.
"He called the boy Tommy," Hotch says after he returns from talking to the woman.
"Is that what set him off?" you ask.
"She thought it was his reflection. Whoever hurt him years ago might have been the same age he is now. He might have seen the similarity."
"What about the boy?" Rossi asks Hotch.
"His real name is Ryan. She said he was quiet and submissive."
"Is Morgan getting anything out of the other witness?"
"Not yet."
"A minivan was stolen one block from here. Call's never driven in his life. Do you think he's still not running from us?" the Lieutenant asks.
"Which way?"
"Eastbound. I got roadblocks set up everywhere. He's not getting out of this county."
"You're wasting your time," Hotch objects.
"He's outnumbered. Do you think he's gonna just disappear?"
"I think he took the boy for a reason."
"I don't care why he took him--"
"You should. Call's memory is no longer suppressed. He's reinventing his past, and unless we understand how, we're not gonna find either of them."
"I agree with Hotch," you back him up.
"I'm not gonna just sit around and speculate."
"I'm not asking you to."
"You don't think we should chase him either?" the Lieutenant asks Rossi.
"We need to get ahead of Call." The Lieutenant scoffs and leaves pissed. Emily and Rossi don't seem confident about Hotch's decision. "Hotch, a kid's missing."
"They don't need the extra manpower."
"Since when?"
"If we'd studied Foyet's initial crimes, we would have known that a survivor didn't make sense."
You sigh when he mentions Foyet. This man is obsessed with him and it won't get any better until he is apprehended. Foyet is the only reason why he can't see his own family.
"What does he have to do with this?" Emily asks carefully.
"All we had to do was stop and look at Foyet's history. We didn't and we lost two couples and a bus full of people. I'm not making that mistake again."
Hotch walks off and you address your two coworkers.
"Hotch isn't well. He's not doing okay even if he says he is."

***************************** In the context of cloud computing, regions, availability zones (AZs), and edge locations are key concepts associated with the infrastructure of cloud service providers. Let's break down each term:
Regions: Definition: A region is a geographical area in the world where a cloud provider operates data centers. Each region is made up of multiple availability zones. Purpose: Regions allow cloud users to deploy resources in specific locations. This can be chosen based on factors like proximity to end-users, regulatory requirements, and redundancy planning.
Availability Zones (AZs): Definition: An availability zone is essentially a data center, or a cluster of data centers, within a specific region. Each availability zone has its own power, cooling, and networking infrastructure. Purpose: Availability zones are designed to be isolated from each other, providing fault tolerance and high availability. If one availability zone experiences a failure, the others can continue to operate.
Edge Locations: Definition: Edge locations are part of the content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure. They are used to cache and deliver content, such as images, videos, and web pages, to end-users with lower latency. Purpose: Edge locations help improve the performance and reduce the latency of applications by distributing content closer to the end-users. They are typically located in major cities and regions around the world.
In summary: Region is a large geographic area where a cloud provider operates multiple data centers. Availability Zone (AZ) is a data center or a cluster of data centers within a region. Multiple AZs within a region provide redundancy and fault tolerance. Edge Location is part of a content delivery network and is focused on caching and delivering content to end-users with low latency.
These concepts are important for cloud users to understand when designing and deploying applications, as they allow for strategic resource placement and help ensure high availability and performance. Different cloud providers may use slightly different terminology, but the fundamental concepts are similar across the industry.
AWS is a popular cloud service provider with a well-established global infrastructure.
Regions: Example: "US East (Northern Virginia)" Explanation: This is a region provided by AWS, and it represents a geographic area in the northern part of the United States. It includes multiple data centers and is one of the earliest and most frequently used AWS regions.
Availability Zones (AZs): Example: Within the "US East (Northern Virginia)" region, there are three availability zones: us-east-1a, us-east-1b, and us-east-1c. Explanation: Each availability zone (e.g., us-east-1a) is a separate data center with its own facilities. These AZs are designed to be isolated from each other to provide redundancy and fault tolerance.
Edge Locations: Example: AWS CloudFront, the content delivery network (CDN) service, has edge locations in cities around the world, such as New York, London, Tokyo, and Sydney.
Explanation: These edge locations cache and deliver content to users globally. For example, if a user in Tokyo requests a piece of content, AWS CloudFront might serve it from the edge location in Tokyo rather than fetching it from the origin server, reducing latency.
When deploying resources on AWS, users can choose the region and availability zone for their services. For example, when launching a virtual machine (EC2 instance) or setting up a database (Amazon RDS), users specify the AWS region and, optionally, the availability zone where they want their resources to be located.
It's important to note that other cloud providers, such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, have similar concepts with their own terminology, but the fundamental principles of regions, availability zones, and edge locations remain consistent.

I have a friend who loves randy and I torment them with pictures of randy plushies being tortured. do you have any randy facts I could torment them with too?
I'm in a jovial mood, so sure, here's a few nuggets of Randy lore in increasing order of significance. you are going to know Randy now.
Randy's leg twitches constantly when he sits. Randy thrashes in his sleep.
Randy has his nails bitten down to nubs. Randy constantly struggles to do things like use sellotape because he has no fingernails to grip stuff with.
Randy has had juggling lessons from three different gurus and yet, cannot juggle. None of the gurus would give Randy a certificate as he was not able to successfully juggle with more than 2 pins for more than 3 seconds and not drop the pins because of the wounds under his handages stinging him as he gripped the pins. Randy would definitely do better at juggling without cuts all over his palms and fingers, but his coordination is still pretty awful.
Because Randy has a slightly better job as of the end of his route (and a home, yay), Randy has a teensy amount of disposable income. One thing that drains this sliver of income is Randy's tendency to enter a store, browse, see nothing he actually wants to buy and then still buying something small that he doesn't even want because he is terrified of the 1/1000 chance that security will think he's shoplifting if he walks out without buying anything, and he does not like the idea of a potential confrontation occurring, even if nothing would actually happen as Randy didn't shoplift anything and upon emptying his pockets, he'd be good to go. THAT. Every time Randy enters a store, he thinks of that and every time, he buys a root beer that he doesn't want. Randy is still learning.
Randy paces around when he's alone and talks to himself to 'rehearse' difficult conversations he has to have and rehearse his talking points. he practices difficult conversations for HOURS, his script's down to a TEE. then, when he enters the conversation, as soon as Randy says the first thing he rehearsed, the person usually inevitably gives a response he didn't anticipate, causing him to immediately abandon his plan and begin internally panicking.
Randy has had a nasty habit of hitting his head in frustration for most of his life. Naturally, he should never do this now, since his head is literally on the verge of exploding bc it's overstuffed and the lid's barely closed. Now, he still occasionally hits his temple without thinking when he's frustrated with himself, which causes him to then instinctively shriek and clutch his head. For a SPLIT second, wild panic. Every time, he thinks "yep, this is it, my head's gonna burst" and it doesn't, miraculously.
Of all of the datables, Randy has the greatest potential for personal change, imo.

Warm Beginnings
In a long forgotten village in the warm sandy desert of eastern Marquet, back in 742PD, a young desert gnome and her forest gnome husband found themselves giving birth to a small and sickly son.
With the help of neighbours and their local temple to The Dawnfather, they nursed their son back to health and did all they could to care for him.
Scanlan Shorthalt was loved by all who met him, his large smile infectious from a young age.
However, it wasn't all smiles and joy at home - for Vicou, Scanlan's dad and a struggling bard, was starting to feel suffocated and had turned to drink in order to hang on.
Meanwhile Juniper, Scanlan's mother and a beloved teacher at the local primary school, found herself being the primary income of the small family.
Scanlan didn't know why his father was so distant towards him or his mother, even trying to learn how to play the flute to impress Vicou and gain his attention, but to no avail.
By his eighth birthday, Scanlan had come to learn that he and his father would never be close.
The relationship between his parents had all but evaporated, his father missing most nights and his mother gone all day as she went on two work two jobs to support her growing child.
He still had happy moments, mostly with his friends or on his mother's rare days off, but things changed when one day his father left and never came back - leaving no letter and taking every last penny.
Scanlan remembers watching his mother sob, clutching a framed painting of her and Vicou on their wedding day.
Things got difficult, Juniper taking on a third job and leaving Scanlan in the hands of his neighbours every day.
Scanlan felt terrible for his poor mother, she was always on her feet doing something and it was draining the life out her.
So, at age 12, Scanlan started teaching himself how to play the flute again and after months of practicing away, he started busking on the street after school to earn money.
His neighbours took pity and tipped him whenever they saw him, Scanlan getting better over time and earning more than he could ever imagine.
When Juniper learned he was busking to save up money and help her, it broke her heart but made her so very proud.
She didn't say anything at first, but started putting by a little bit of coin every month to start saving up for proper music lessons to help her son out.
Then, by her next birthday, she finds herself surprised when Scanlan comes to her with a jar full of silvers and coppers he has earned while busking.
Overall, it's not a lot of money in general but for a young boy busking on the street its very impressive - so impressive, that Juniper takes him to buy a new instrument all of his own.
Scanlan trades his father's flute for a lyre and, to his mother's awe and surprise, he takes to it like a moth would to a flame.
The little bard finds a new joy in playing the lyre and resumes busking, finding it drawing in even bigger crowds and even more tips, his mother letting him save up for his lessons doing this so she can focus on the bills and groceries.
By the time he's 15, Scanlan is so good with a lyre that the local tavern hires him as their main entertainer for a good fee and free dinner every night.
His mother is so proud of him, all of his neighbours too, and it just encourages him more.
Then one day, near Scanlan's 18th birthday, a scout for the best music school in Tal'dorei stops by the tavern for the night and hears Scanlan play.
So moved by the young bard, he offers him a placement in The Royal Bard's College in Emon City and Scanlan runs home to tell his mum about it.
Using his savings to secure transport, Scanlan would leave home to go to this college with the scout's recommendation letter - his proud mother tearfully waving him goodbye.
He'd study there for 5 years, working hard to pass his exams and gain his professional bard certification while learning about how it is that bards can manipulate the arcanic threads of the world, before finally graduating at age 23.
Excited to show his mother his certificate, Scanlan would immediately book transport home and returned to his village to surprise everyone.
A party was thrown when he arrived, his mother boasting about her son with glee.
But the night would end in tragedy... For by sundown, a small tribe of goblins known to hunt the roads would arrive.
A night of joy and celebration would be stained with horror and bloodshed, black smoke filling the sky as those goblins raided the village purely for some entertainment...
Scanlan had run hand in hand with his mother, lyre in hand, but soon they'd be cornered by several raiders in an alleyway with nowhere for them to hide.
Scanlan would never be able to recall what happened then and there, all he knows is that one minute he is crying as he stood in between his mother and those goblins before blacking out and waking up in a tent not far from the burning village.
Clerics had hovered over him, a gentle pain lingering in his gut as smoke clung to his lungs.
He had died in the village, a sliver of white dancing through dark auburn hair, and these clerics had brought him back.
Though he was one of the few they had managed to save, he couldn't see Juniper anywhere.
He demanded to see her, but the clerics had to gently break the news to him that they only found him lying in that alley.
Scanlan never saw his mother again, most of the village killed by those goblins and their home burned away for good.
Scanlan would be numbly led into a wagon with the few other survivors, watching as the fire raged on into the night.
They were taken to Shandal for medical treatment and refuge, but Scanlan couldn't dare to stay with those clerics who had brought him back without his mother - so he left, slipping away before dawn on the back of a hay cart heading to the capital city when nobody was looking, and he disappeared.
He would blend into the noise of Ank'Harel with little to note happening, the bard mindlessly busking for food and drink as he slept on the street for a time he couldn't possibly track.
He doesn't remember how old he was when Dr. Dranzel found him rotting away on a street corner playing the lyre with bloodied fingers and visible ribs, but his liglfe would change for the better on that day.
The half-orc had brought the broken gnome to the inn he was staying at and introduced Scanlan to his minstrel band, Dr. Dranzel's Spectacular Travelling Troupe, and bought the gnome room and board.
Scanlan had been confused and uneasy at first, but then Dranzel earnestly praised his ability with the lyre and asked if he would joun their troupe.
There was a promise of fame, fortune, food and drink...
Scanlan couldn't care for fame or fortune, but he was starving and drink numbed his pain...
So he took Dranzel up on his offer and, in a week, found himself travelling with the group by boat to Issylra.
There, he would learn their second job - pickpocketing.
For the next 23 years, Scanlan would put on weight and work at his skill with many different instruments, including his voice, as the troupe travelled around the world to bring music into more lives and to spread their troupe's name.
He didn't have the nimbleness of his comrades to swipe the coinpurses of their audiences, but he could charm all who watched them into not noticing the halfling violinist reaching into their pocket as they went past them towards the bar.
Yet, Scanlan never truly felt like he belonged with the troupe.
He enjoyed the traveling and the booze and the music...
He loved the attention and the sex and the flirting...
But the stealing rubbed him wrong, and he hated how his troupe belittled everyone who fell for their tricks and charms.
Then he met a woman, a fellow gnome so pretty and sweet.
They were in Westruun, a rural village in The Dividing Plains of Tal'dorei, and Scanlan had slipped outside for some air.
She had been walking home when two nasty men cornered her to harass her for sex.
Scanlan, a flash of goblins and fire in his mind, didn't even realise he was moving until he was lifting his lyre over his head and whacking one of the men right in the back as he yelled.
The men spooked and ran, the woman breaking down crying as Scanlan stumbled aside.
He had never done anything like that before, startled by his actions, but upon seeing this poor gnome crying he would force himself to calm down and focus on consoling the woman.
Her name was Sybil Harpfoot, the young gnome a florist who had been visiting her sister Mayble before heading home.
Scanlan would take her home and ask if she wanted him to tell the guards what happened, but instead Sybil just asked him to stay with her for the night and how could he say no?
He slept on her couch that night and was treated to a warm breakfast of pancakes covered in syrup and coffee.
She thanked him for saving her, and he told her he was just glad that she wasn't hurt that night.
When he rejoined his troupe that day and they said they'd be leaving for Whitestone, Scanlan decided to stay behind in Westrunn - he liked Sybil and wanted to make sure she would be okay after what happened.
There were arguments, and it felt like Scanlan would have no choice, but Dranzel would give in and accept Scanlan's formal request to leave the troupe.
He'd watch them pack up into their wagons and drive away with no regret at his decision.
For the next few months, he would work gigs at the tavern for room and board, all while he befriended the lovely Sybil.
They grew close, maybe too close, and before he knew it he was taking her to his room one night after a gig and more than a few drinks - when he awoke the next morning, he'd find himself panicked and feeling guilty, so he packed his things and fled without a word of goodbye or apology to Sybil.
He caught the first cart out of town and left Westrunn behind, letting himself be taken to wherever the cart was going.
Little did he know, Sybil would end up pregnant from their night of drunken passion.
From that day forward, Scanlan would move from place to place as he busked and played gigs to pay for room and food, never staying anywhere longer than a week and never ever returning back to Westrunn.
Drinking, getting high, having one night stands and playing gigs everywhere he went, he became a bit more jaded and a little more self centred.
Until one day, he runs into a goliath, a mage and two holy folk in a spot of bother with a mayor of some livestock town in The Mornset Countryside.
Seeing an opportunity for some excitement and coin, he decides to offer his help as a bard to the 4 - little did he know just how much his life would change after that day.
