The mighty pen is more powerful than the sword they say: I am not 100% percent convinced yet as I am fairly certain that the samurai sword would destroy this pen in a sword fight... however one cannot deny that this awesome creation of a pen definitely adds to the arsenal of details a professional could do with to help conquer his daily quests.. 😂 it is especially awesome when creators add additional tiny details like adding gold, silver and platinum to something usually made of plastic.. 😱���☺️thank you #cartier and thank you to my #amazingwife who just wants me to have the best ☺️ this was one of her first ever gifts to me in support of my awesomenes😂. My obsession with pens...

I am here to tell tumblr and the internet that I love pens. I confess that I probably love them more than I should. There is something about holding a beautifully crafted pen that feels sublime. As if you're on the precipice of something enormous, with the power to float right over it just by signing your name or writing a scathing review of some heretical balderdash. 

I am somehow power-hungry for the feeling a wonderful pen supplies. But, there are worst things I could hunger for, I'm sure.

In reality, 9 of my amazon wishlist items are pens. My favorite brands are pilot, zebra, pentel and sharpie, although I have this amazing set of Stabilos that have improved my life since the first moment I had one in my hands. 

Perhaps this is an overly flowery note about pens. But I just love that you can use pens for such a wide variety of things and the way they convey and express my emotions is really unmatched by any other resource or tool I have (unless you count my hands, but I would say those are a part of me and not as much of a conduit). 

Either way, I am even tempted to channel my inner Pablo Neruda and compose an ode to the pen. We'll see if that happens later today ;)

I have grown up seeing and using 'pens' all my life and have pretty much seen them be available everywhere!.. From the price of FREE.. to a couple of cents, to a couple of bucks, to a couple hundreds of dollars , and now even upto the thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars!😱 whaaaaa right!? I remember my first time seeing a nicely boxed #parkerpen @ a local news agency store! It had an expensive $20price which was no doubt well above the cost of making the pen (I was sure of it and felt so smart ) , however... the longer I stared at it... I became more amazed and more fascinated and kept whispering... and asking... why... or how even such a freely available 'free' item can become so valuable or be worth so much... or why anyone would even consider such a 'waste of money' !?!? especially when the same type of item can be acquired for free everywhere... 🤔 or for like 2-3 bucks tops! At that point, i didn't have the right answer but I knew I just wanted it... I just had to have it... it didn't make sense or didn't seem logical... but wether it was my ego or my pride... The voices in my head just kept saying... my precious... and my mind rationalised...maybe... that the pen might make working and doing exams easier... and if it didn't... heck... I knew I would have just looked soooooo piiiimp for having a fancy gold pen in a fancy box! 20+ years later... I'm proud to say not much is changed...
