There isn't anything about this weird little duck that I don't like!!

I like his weird little rules, his fun little outfits, his rudeness, his brazenness, his overly autotuned webvoice, his much softer and lower pitched tv voice, his propensity for violence, his temper, his sassy little remarks waugh!! He's so totally my favorite favorite favorite favorite!! I love him EXACTLY the way he is!!

I just remembered this old silly storytime video Rubius made a few years ago, and I wanted to share it because it's still very funny and I know most English fans aren't familiar with the story!

In summary: Rubius orders some takeout while chilling at home (shirtless, only wearing PJ pants), and due to a language barrier and a series of unfortunate miscommunications, the delivery person winds up inside his house without him realizing it. Rubius refers to this story as "the most awkward moment of his life."

Let me reveal two things with one picture: my hand and my first 5 star read this year.

I loved this. The world building is phenomenal. The world was creative, the creatures are making sense. The world and the characters are interacting, it's not just a setting, it's the whole point. The characters are interesting, they have layers (of multiple trauma). They are according to their age and are not annoying, which is a high bar for young people. This is kinda dark, but not too dark. It was perfect for my taste, especially with the fact that there is no romance in it, apart from the family drama. I loved the bickering, the fact that the different people have different kind of humour, but they make it work?? To be one big good thing? I just can't.

Will I be recommending this book to everyone in the next twenty years? Yes. Yes, I will, and I won't be ashamed of it.

coinciding with my last post, i’m petrified to realize i never posted one of the funniest bits to come out of a Charlie Dog cartoon: Charlie convincing Porky he’s pregnant. Porky’s scandalized “nooo…” is perfect and, again, the whole sequence is so well acted. the audience knows Charlie is completely full of bull but there’s such a gentility and innocence adopted by the direction that you really buy into it. great dedication and great setup

#obviously in a modern context the punchline loses some of its punch given that trans men can carry and Charlie is a very androgynous name #but given that this was released in 1947 that wasn’t on the minds of Chuck Jones Mike Maltese or the audience #i mean the fact that this was able to slip through at all is pretty miraculous since god forbid you mention pregnancy in the ‘40s #also this clip is a great example of why i love this short so much #as i mentioned in the tags of my last post i think Awful Orphan is the best out of the trio—has the best balance of gag density and #character acting. but i love how natural the character acting is in this one. it feels so genuine. not that it isn’t in Awful but i think #for example with Porky the short boasts a certain bombastic tone to it (which is why it’s so good) and the deliveries are very… they feel #like performances. WHICH IS AWESOME. that is a great thing! but i like how organic the acting is in this sequence #again with Porky’s ‘noooo…’ just that variance in tone it feels so natural and organic and indicative of genuine emotion rather than feeling #like you’re on a stage performing and i love that #again not discrediting Awful because i do think it is the superior cartoon i just resonate with this more #lt #little orphan airedale #jones #vid

sonic 3 opinions (SPOILERS)

i only recently started brainrotting about shadow so people who r more die hard plz plz chime in if you would like.

correct me if im wrong, but doesn't shadow's entire backstory and motivation and agency hinge on the fact that he was made to 1) save maria and 2) be a weapon (ULF) for GUN? so the fact that the movie gets rid of these two feels,,, kinda important? the whole reason shadow is compelling as an anti-hero is because his choices are guided by maria's dying wish which, surprise surprise, was also cut.

cutting that gerald created him AND maria's dying wish just feels like they really watered shadow down a lot. idk someone please um actually me on this i wanna be schooled
