Here is some album art I designed for for the brand new debut album of @themcbroomsistersofficial who have been Pink Floyd’s backup singers (and many others) since the early eighties. The album is entitled, Black Floyd. I was asked to create an illustration from a photograph of them initially based on a particular style they admired. I then realized they needed help to design the rest of the artwork as they only had an unfinished concept created. I took the original cover concept and made some slight revisions to its colour and cleaned it up and then designed the rest of the album art. The McBroom Sisters are @durgadiva and @loreleimcbroom who sing both lead and backing vocals on a combination of classic Pink Floyd covers and their own original songs. It’s a phenomenal sounding album which also features @fperdomo and @davekerzner who I’ve collaborated with on several music projects. On a side note, stay tuned as Durga, Lorelei sing on my forthcoming EP that I recorded with @fperdomo and @matttecu. As some of you may have heard by now, my work is now a award winning print shop. What you may not know, is that it was my ABC Animal Skulls book that won the pinnacle award for our division in the Art book category. My first book, my baby, that I hand drew and inked every page, did, and wrote every word. P Scanned with care, layedout, then painstakingly processed and re processed until I got the right settings to get the clearest prints, printed cut, collated, creased cover, perfect bound. Every single step, every single page I had my hands on thanks to my work @cwprintanddesign who gave me the materials, opportunity, and encouragement to move forward with the project. It's exciting to think that I am now not only an award winning printer, I am also an award winning, graphic designer, and illustrator. My sad foods even made the cut! Here is a website design that I created for Women's Network in Canada while on contract at Corus Entertainment. The stakeholders and executives consistently chose and approved my designs while I was there and On Air for the first time used designs from the Interactive department which I created. At the end of the fiscal year, 3 of the 4 projects featured to review the years accomplishments, I designed.
