Also Long Caster is still one of the best AWACS in the series

Ah I realized I probably wasn't exactly answering the qn.. They do have one AWACS at a time, but the AWACS rotate through Ghost Eye, Bandog, Long Caster and Eagle eye (limited only because I have only played these three AC games :( hoping for more time to play the rest! Bandog's the harshest, Ghost eye's the nicest, Long Caster makes everyone hungry. Especially himself. And Eagle eye is all about the Merc culture so he fines the squadrons if they are mean to each other (like keeping a swear jar).

Question about the Ace Combat Squadron au. Does the Combine Squadron have one AWACS all together or does each team of the squadrons have their respective AWACS?

That's a good question! In my AU, they have a combination of AWACS that they rotate through, depending on the type of mission. Each AWACS has their own intelligence speciality after all. But the most constant AWACS is probably Bandog. Cos he is the only one iron-fisted enough to keep all of the capable idiots in line XD

Thoughts on the Latest Ace Combat DLC: Anchorhead Raid

Took me far longer than it should have to beat on ace difficulty though I am 100% convinced most of the times me dying was my own fault

This being a very air to ground focused mission is a good contrast to the first DLC which was purely focused on air to air combat.

Some of the dialogue feels..off. I mean you can tell in some places that it was translated from Japanese. I noticed this in the main story too at times but for some reason it stuck out to me more here. Mostly the chatter between Count and Long Caster

The point limit in this one if far easier to reach than the one in the last DLC mostly because all the ships you fight in this one drop a huge load of points each.

Disregarding what I said earlier, the background chatter is quite nice (this goes for the last DLC as well). I kind of felt bad for that one port facility operator. I hope I didn’t accidentally blow her to shit with an MPBM

I swear to fuck if captain Torres doesn’t start to make sense by the last DLC I am going to be VERY ANGRY

I think they kind of missed the mark with captain Torres. We have been chasing after him for two missions now and the only known motivation of his that we have is his desire to kill a million people (or whatever the fuck he meant)

Rage and Scream are back and get promptly creamed  by a couple of well placed railgun shots. I was not prepared for Scream to go ballistic after I killed her brother. The way she was crying and screaming and begging for you to kill her really got to me somehow. I really do hope we at least get some insights into their characters with the last DLC next month. I think it’s what they deserve.

C’mon Bamco, make me feel bad for styling all over them. 

As far as boss fights go they weren’t to bad. A good challenge without feeling unfair (Unlike that bitch ass fight they out up last mission.) Only thing that was bugging me were those marker drones and YES I KNOW I CAN SHOOT THEM DOWN BUT I WAS KINDA BUSY NOT GETTING SHAFTED BY THOSE GUYS IN THE BERKUTS-

At any rate, in conclusion I enjoyed it and I can recommend it to anyone who wants their Ace Combat fix.
