Addi looked at him for a moment, and despite the attitude she'd been stuck in most of the afternoon, she knew there wasn't anything to be mad about with Lo'ak. He failed at the cooking part but this so called 'thought' had done something to ebb away some of the grumpiness. The smile tugging on the side of her mouth was easily visible through her mask, even when she turned her head down to look at the mysterious .. shapes that were served on the spartan leaf.

She took a piece of something charred between her fingers, gave it a look over with a lift of her brow - ( if I die, tell my dad I love him ) , then unclipped her mask and popped it in her mouth. After the mask was securely back on, it was clear from her eyes alone that there was a tinge of regret in having tried it. When it finally went down she sat up, taking a moment to find her words again.

" Besides being horribly, horribly bitter from being burnt.. I can see where you were going with it. A good word of advice is to always taste test it while you're cooking. That and don't fall asleep while it's on the fire... and maybe a little less spice. Try and piece and see. "

His ears went down in shame, he just wanted to make something to cheer her up and since he saw her and Kiri cooking and that it was something they enjoyed, he wanted to give it a try but, oh well.
