Avi_Kaplan I grew up riding horses, but it had been about 20 years since the last time I’d gotten on one. Horses can tell when you’re not confident or out of practice, so it took a bit for Snip to respect me enough to really let me take the reigns and run. This moment was right after we’d finished the running scenes. I couldn’t have asked for a more loving, patient, and beautiful horse. We finally bonded and this was me thanking her for running so hard in the heat and keeping me safe. I’ll be bringing her carrots and apples every time I visit the Sage and Stone.

So I've posted these everywhere else already, so here they are, tumblr

Last night, in Nashville, I got to meet my idol since the 8th grade (I'm about to graduate now, if you're wondering). I first saw Avi Kaplan on the SmartBoard screen in my 8th grade chorus class, singing in Evolution of Music with Pentatonix. I decided I loved his voice, I loved his style, I loved his vibe, I loved his smile, and I have loved him ever since. As much as I tried, I never got to opportunity to go to a Pentatonix concert, because money, really. But I followed them through everything they did, bought all their albums, and supported them in any way possible.

I'll admit I was absolutely heartbroken, turned into a sobbing mess when Avi left Pentatonix. It was painful to think about not hearing his voice, to think about not seeing him sing and dance anymore. But I supported him no matter what, even if I did pretty much stop listening to Pentatonix.

A month ago I learned that he would be performing his new music in Nashville, coming out of his log cabin for the first time in 2 years, and living about 6 hours from Nashville, I decided I had a chance at going. It was sitting at the lunch table, at school one day, that I bought the 2 tickets for the show, and said "This is what we're doing over spring break." It was a spontaneous decision, a decision of a loving fan, and the best decision I ever made.

Last night my friend, Ryker, and I arrived at the Basement in Nashville, over an hour before the show started, to get in line. I was nervous, excited, ecstatic, terrified, and everything in between. Doors opened at 8:30 (But really closer to 8:45). I entered that door with more hope in my heart than I think I've ever felt. And it was no misplaced hope.

I wish I could describe the feeling when, during the first song on his set list, Avi made eye contact with me, in the second row, smiling like a geek, and smiled a big smile back at me. I wish I could tell you how it felt to hear him sing, live, 10 feet from me, how it felt to see him sway and move to the music, feeling it in his soul. I know I can't tell you how it felt to fall into him and have his arms wrap around me, to smile at me and say "Yeah, I saw you right up front, you were totally jamming out" (literally). But I know I won't do it justice, and I may never explain it. It still feels a bit like a dream, one I want to never wake up from.

These are the best pictures I got from last night, although there's a few more of me freaking out and crying (from joy, of course) and there he is, telling me that its okay. I have an autograph too, on my poster. And as I'm writing this now, from a hotel room in Lexington, I'm still smiling like a geek, at the memories, at the memories I'll cherish for all of my life. I've thought about that moment for a long, long time, 4 and a half years of time, but still, meeting Avi was extraordinary beyond even my wildest dreams.

I know I'm one of many, many fans that got this experience, and that every single one of them experienced the joy and bliss that I felt in these fleeting moments, but I hope Avi knows that I mean it from the bottom of my heart, when I say
