I thought I lost this picture, until this week, when my mom was digging through a stack of photos, for my Uncle Brad's funeral. This was the Christmas Carol production with Pleasanton Civic Arts, Fall 2004, at the Amador Theater, when I played Jacob Marely. As an actor, at Age 19, this was huge for me. I was the oldest teen in the cast, not originally cast as Jacob Marley, just a character in the background here and there. All the adult roles were cast with adults above age 25. The Original Marely dipped out with in the first 2 weeks of rehearsal, and the director approached me and asked me to be Marley. The best part of our first rehearsal for the Scrooge and Marely scene, as I was playing Marley all foreboding and low tone ghostly, my director stopped the rehearsal, and gave me the best direction any director ever gave me... "Barry, I want you to take all the Darth Vader you are putting into Marely, and be the Emperor, with Herman Munster's Laugh." hey so I know you probably won't see this but I still think this is nice to send. I read your post and read th comic about charles (fantastic by the way). And I just want to tell you this is not me begging for you to come back but rather just saying how I'm sorry for your mom and hope you continue to get better mentally and emotionally. If you can continue the series soon that would be nice but I would like you to get better this is just to say hope you get better with your health and hopefully you respond to this and also remember lif may hit you hard but you gotta get up and show the world your not down yet hope you get better soon 👍👍👍

Thank you so much! I know it has been 3 years, but it still felt like yesterday to me, but I could say that I am doing better mentally!

For the AVH tho, I'm not sure when will I be able to come back to it. I deeply love the comic and still would love to finish the story in many ways, but for now I don't want to pressure myself much with adulthood had just hit my life.

So for those AVH fans out there, thank you so much for enjoying the whole series and be patient with me! I may or may not come back to the comic one day, but if things didn't go the way I wanted, I may try to finish the story in a for of a fanfic that I would post on AO3 as a last resort! Motivation is something that I can't force, but deep down I still want the whole story to be told in many way.

Tbh I think somewhere in here there is a version of this story in which, while Seward and Van Helsing are starting to build each other up in their paternalistic convictions about needing to exclude Mina, and when Jonathan and the other boys are being convinced to go along with it by the authority of their expertise, I think there is a version in which Mina places a protest at just the right moment, makes just the right expression, and the whole plan to exclude her crumbles when Seward immediately capitulates to her desires

hellooo sorry this has been sitting in my askbox for months BUT without scrounging for articles i can really only say that I think diagnosing troubled children with demon possession and performing exorcisms on them (and that inspiring the use of "demon possession" as an insanity defense, as in the "devil made me do it" case) is unbelievably dangerous and harmful religious bogus. this did cause a rift in the Glatzel family between the siblings that still believe in the possession vs those that saw through the manipulation and don't appreciate the intense media attention it garnered, especially when their brother was clearly struggling with meltdowns and delusions and instead of getting help, their parents called the Warrens. i also think it's disgusting to use the real & then-recent murder of 4 children as the focal point of a haunted house story, ie the amityville horror. they're well known at this point to exaggerate and falsify everything they write to make it more sensational for money, while using the real names of the people they write about. the families are generally on board but i don't blame them half as much as i blame the lifelong career grifters

No, I don't give up on thsc, at least not yet

But I can't really promise you that I'll be making thsc content in scheduled, I draw and write whatever my brain feels like it, but even if my focus are currently elsewhere that doesn't mean I stopped loving THSC and/or the fandom!

I met wonder people within this fandom (including my bf) and I still have my love towards my favorite characters AND AVH, I'm sure I'll eventually come back into it the way I came back to Undertale and My Little Pony! :3

Then again, I can't promise you anything, but currently I've also been bit with college, so we'll see^^"
