Cereal Redux
Diana stared at Averia.
Averia stared at Diana.
Smiling, Averia reached for the milk... only to pick up the juice instead. Maintaining eye contact the entire time, she poured the juice into her bowl, added her cereal on top of it... and then smiled.
It took both Lightning and Fang to restrain Diana.

Cereal (Final Rose)
Diana sensed a shift in the very foundations of the universe. Somewhere, out there, somebody was pouring their cereal wrong. Focusing every bit of Aura she could muster, she extended her senses out to determine where and who was committing such an atrocity.
It was Averia.
She hurried into the dining room and then leapt onto the table.
"What are you doing?" she blurted, jabbing one finger at her older sister.
Averia looked up from her bowl full of milk and then poured the cereal into it. "What?"
"Gah!" Diana dropped off the table and convulsed on the floor. Since this was hardly the first time she'd done that, Averia poked her once with her foot, ascertained that she wasn't actually having a seizure, and then used her spoon to push her cereal into the milk.
"Could you not do that here? I'm trying to eat."
Diana got back onto her feet. "How can you add milk to the bowl first? Do you have any idea how insane that is? You need to add the cereal first and then add the milk. Anything else is lunacy."
"..." Averia turned away and started to eat her cereal.
"Mom!" Diana cried as Lightning came into the dining room with a bowl. "Averia puts her milk in..."
She trailed off as Lightning took the milk, poured it into her bowl, and then added the cereal on top.
"..."

Cereal Redux Redux
"I know you don't like juice with your cereal, and I know you usually put your cereal in first," Fang said. "So why are you doing what you're doing?"
Averia looked her straight in the eye. "Because I know it drives Diana crazy."
That was when Fang realised that Averia was actually the most evil of her children.

Garden Maintenance (Final Rose)
Diana raised her weapon and glared. "Today is the day you go down!"
Averia raised her own weapon and glared back. "You're still way too tiny to beat me, twerp."
Fang took a sip of her lemonade and leaned back in her chair. "That's right, kids. Fight for the glory and honour of being the champion of gardening day."
Diana cleared her throat.
"Ah. Right. The Ultra Mega Supreme Super Infinite Champion of Gardening Day." Fang raised an eyebrow at Diana. "You don't think that's a little bit redundant?"
The little girl shook her head. "It only makes it more awesome." She brandished her rake. "Now, prepare to be defeated, villain!"
"You know," Averia pointed out. "You're the one threatening me with a rake. If anything that makes you the villain."
"I can't be the villain. I'm too small and adorable to be the villain. You're way bigger, and your glare is heaps scarier, so that makes you the villain."
Averia glared.
"You're not exactly proving her wrong," Fang drawled.
Averia glared again.
"Yeah. No. Your mother glares at me all the time. She's scary. You? It's like watching a puppy try to imitate a wolf."
Averia glared yet again but with even greater power.
"Try again in... ten, no, twenty years, and maybe I'll be worried."
Averia prepared to glare even harder, but Diana seized the opportunity to strike.
"Cool! I get a free attack! Hah!"
In a great display of honour and mercy, Diana aimed her rake at Averia's side instead of going for the head. Truly, she was a benevolent child.
Alas, in an even great display of agility, Averia somehow managed to bend backward in time to avoid the strike completely. Diana gaped in disbelief as her strike missed and her overextension left her fully exposed to Averia's counter attack.
The older girl righted herself and smiled, and her rake came swinging down.
"Ah!" Diana dropped her rake and raised her hands. "Don't pick on me!"
A lifetime (albeit only nine years of life so far) of instinct compelled Averia to pull her strike... which allowed Diana to pick up her rake and whack Averia in the leg.
"Hah!" Diana cheered. "I hit you first! I win! I am the Ultra Mega Supreme Super Infinite Champion of..." She trailed off as a terrifying chill crept down her spine.
"You little twerp," Averia growled, rake raised menacingly. "Prepare to be whacked!"
Diana took one look at her sister's expression and decided to run for it.
"Ah!"
Fang sipped on more lemonade and smiled as her two children ran around the front yard.
"Could you three stop fooling around!" Lightning said.
Fang, Diana, and Averia all froze.
"We're supposed to be tidying up the garden!" Lightning glared, and even Fang recoiled. "Stop fooling around and get to work!"

Role Reversal (Final Rose AU)
When Summer walked in on Averia and Yang, Averia felt morally obligated to do the smart thing. After all, in 99.99% of cases, a huntress walking in on their daughter canoodling with somebody would resort to violence.
Averia ran.
As Averia leapt out the window and vanished into the distance, Summer sighed and turned to Yang.
"Did she really think I would be mad?" She reached behind her back and pulled out the banner she'd made. "I was about to congratulate you two on hooking up!"
Yang's mouth opened and closed. "..." Finally, she managed to speak. "Seriously?"
"Absolutely." Summer's eyes narrowed. "By the way, would you mind sharing her with Ruby?"

Sparring (Final Rose AU)
Yang grinned and threw a simple one-two combination at Averia. The pink-haired girl slipped the punches and replied with a one-two of her own. Yang parried the jab and allowed the cross to graze her shoulder before lunging forward into a clinch.
There was an almost playful battle for position as they looked to work in the clinch before eventually breaking apart. Yang checked a leg kick before planting her own lead foot and throwing a kick to the body followed by a hook and then an uppercut as Averia tried to close the distance.
Neither punch landed with any real force, and Averia went back to circling. Yang waggled her eyebrows. Averia replied by rolling her eyes as she continued to test Yang's defences with kicks and punches.
This wasn't a fight, so much as a light spar, a chance for them to try new things, warm up, and have a bit of fun. Of course, in a place like Beacon, there was always at least one idiot around who wanted to take things super seriously all the time.
"Mind if I go a round?"
They paused, and Yang glanced at the girl who'd spoken. She had the look of a hand-to-hand fighter although Yang couldn't really remember seeing her before. Averia mouthed the answer to her. The girl was from the year ahead of them.
"Go ahead," Averia said.
The girl got into the ring. She and Yang touched gloves for a moment and backed away from each other.
"You ready?" Yang asked.
"I'm good."
And then the girl was rushing forward. Yang frowned faintly as the first punch clattered into her guard. That had been a proper punch thrown with a decent amount of Aura behind it. It was followed by several more blows, all of them thrown with some serious intentions.
So it was going to be like that, huh?
Yang had a reputation as one of the best hand-to-hand fighters at Beacon, so it wasn't unusual for people to come after her. Whether it was in the ring or on the training grounds, there was always somebody trying to make their name by taking her down.
Still, Yang wanted to be sure first. She struck back, deliberately keeping her blows fairly light. This was supposed to be a friendly spar, not a proper fight. If the other girl was content to ease up, that was fine. If not, well, Yang would start throwing leather too, and that usually only ended one way.
The response was clear.
The girl upped the pace, throwing more strikes and throwing them harder. Yang sighed. Fine. She wanted to do things that way? Okay. Yang caught a kick with her left hand and then swept her opponent's other leg out with her right foot.
Her opponent was up on her feet in an instant, already swinging a hook at Yang's head. Yang took a half step back to avoid the hook and then stepped into a cross that sent her opponent flying back into the ropes before a followup hook sent her crashing to the canvas.
"You done?" Yang asked. All she got was a groan in response. "Good."

Ambush (Final Rose AU)
There was something about Ruby in an apron that just hit different. It was probably the fact that Ruby wasn't using the apron to look seductive. Instead, she was baking. There were cookies in the oven, and Ruby had splotches of flour and chocolate smeared on her hands, her face, and even her hair.
It was so, so easy for Averia imagine a gaggle of children with silver eyes eagerly counting down the minutes as they waited for the cookies to finish.
"Oh, hey!" Ruby waved. "You just got home, right?" She laughed. "I was hoping to have the cookies done before you got back, but... yeah. There were a few accidents."
Ruby smiled that utterly endearing smile of hers and reached up to scratch the back of her neck before remembering she had flour and chocolate on her fingers and thinking better of it. Instead, she decided that the best way to get the chocolate off her fingers was to lick it off.
Averia stared.
"Uh... are you okay?" Ruby asked.
Whether or not Ruby had planned to seduce her - and Averia was willing to bet her mission's pay that she hadn't - she had succeeded. She took a few steps forward until Ruby was pressed back against a kitchen counter.
"Stop that." Averia caught Ruby's wrist and then slowly lifted the chocolate covered fingers to her lips. "Let me."
Ruby's eyes widened as Averia began to suck the chocolate off her fingers. "What are you... oh!"
The look in Averia's eyes was unmistakable, and Ruby could only swallow thickly as Averia let go of her hand and lifted her up onto the kitchen counter.
"But the cookies..." Ruby whined as Averia somehow managed to remove all of her clothing except the apron. It must be, as Yang liked to put it, more Saviour bullshit, not that Ruby was complaining.
"Don't worry about the cookies."
And then Averia was doing the most wonderful things, and Ruby couldn't focus on anything outside of how much she was enjoying herself.
Later, Ruby was cuddled up to Averia. Her eyes were closed, and she was savouring the simple comfort of being embraced by the person she loved. Yang had said doing things in the kitchen could be fun, but Ruby had always thought it would probably get a bit messy.
Well, it had, but she hadn't really cared.
Just then a thought occurred to her.
"The cookies!" Ruby's eyes opened, and she almost shot to her feet before Averia tightened her hold.
"Relax," Averia whispered. "I slowed time. They'll be done in ten minutes."
Ruby relaxed. "You're the best."

Awkward Question (Final Rose AU)
Yang waited until Averia had just taken a sip of her coffee before asking her question.
"So who has better stamina... me or Ruby?"
For a split-second, it looked as though Averia was either going to spew coffee all over the dining table or choke, but nothing happened. In fact... Averia looked suspiciously composed.
"Averia, did you just use Saviour to stop time or something?" Yang asked.
Averia stared back at Yang. "Of course not."
"Bullshit, you totally did something." Yang snickered. "And don't try to avoid the question."
Next to Yang, Ruby was doing her best impression of a tomato.
"Yang..." Ruby hissed. "We're eating breakfast!"
"Ruby, we're both dating Averia. It's perfectly okay to discuss sex at the dining table, especially since we both engage in a lot of it. But, you know, not with each other, just Averia." Yang cackled as Ruby spluttered. Ruby and Averia had been intimate for a few months now, but Ruby had always been more reserved about this sort of thing than Yang.
"Yang, I am not going to answer that," Averia said.
"Oh, come on. I'm curious."
Ruby tried to tug her hood down over her face only to realise that she wasn't wearing it. Instead, she was just in her pyjamas. "Yang, please stop talking."
Averia glanced at Ruby and then gave Yang an impish smile. "You may not like the answer you get."
"Wait... what?" Yang leaned forward. "Are you serious?"
"And if I am?" Averia asked.
"Uh..." Ruby could sense trouble brewing and decided to play peacemaker. At least, that was the idea. Instead, she ended up inserting her entire leg into her mouth. "Yang, it's not a big deal if I've got more stamina than you."
"There is no way that you have more stamina than me!" Yang growled. She shook her fist at the sky. "I mean, no offence, Ruby, but stamina is my thing. You're the speedster."
"Um... are we still talking about sex, or are we just talking about regular fighting now?" Ruby asked.
Averia's lips curled. "A bit of both, Ruby."
Yang's eyes narrowed. "I'm not about to tolerate this libel."
"Slander, Yang. Libel is written." Averia grinned. "And in many places, truth is a near-absolute defence against slander."
"..." Yang set her coffee down on the table and stood. "You. Me. Bedroom. I'm going to prove that I have more stamina."
"You do realise that the two of us having sex won't prove anything since the comparison is between you and Ruby. At the very least, I'd have to see how Ruby compares immediately after." Averia leaned forward. "Or were you planning for a more direct competition with Ruby?"
Yang's jaw dropped. "Did you just make a sister fixation joke?"
Averia smiled sunnily. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to make one instead of having them aimed my way." She paused as she realised that Ruby was slowly inching away from Yang. "Ruby, you do realise I was joking, right?"
Ruby backed away from Yang. "Yang, you're my sister, and I love you... but not like that."
Yang took one look at Ruby and couldn't help herself. "But Ruby... we're only half sisters." She batted her eyelashes at Ruby. "A direct comparison is the only way we can be sure."
"..." Ruby ran.
Yang cackled and ran after her. "Where do you think you're going?"
Averia took another sip of her coffee as Ruby vanished from in front of Yang and reappeared behind her. The silver-eyed woman immediately grabbed Averia and held her up like a protective talisman.
"Stay back!" Ruby cried. "I've got an Averia, and I'm not afraid to use her!"
Averia sighed. If it wasn't for Saviour, she'd have gotten coffee all over herself. "I'm in love with a pair of idiots."
"Take back your slander!" Yang cried.

Socialisation (Final Rose x MCU)
Averia stared at Tony and Bruce.
“Why are you staring at us like that?” Bruce asked. “And why do I feel a sudden chill up my spine.”
“Let me get this straight,” Averia said. “You want to create an AI to help defend the world... and you haven’t thought about socialising it?”
“...” Tony made a face. “You know, that might have slipped my mind.”
“Let’s say you tell this AI to help defend the world. How do you think it’s going to react if the only way it has to learn about it is through the internet and JARVIS.” Averia paused. “No offence, JARVIS. I think you’re wonderful.”
“No offence taken, ma’am.” JARVIS radiated a certain smugness. She’d never called Tony wonderful. “And I do believe she has a point, sir. My... affable nature aside, I do believe that any AI that is exposed to the internet without the proper socialisation procedures may well be driven insane. It does, after all, contain the best of humanity... and the very worst.”
Averia frowned. “Also, I wasn’t with you on the last mission, but there’s something different about you.” Her eyes narrowed, and Tony took a reflexive step back as he felt Saviour’s activation.
“Hey!” Tony said. “Pepper will be pissed if you stab me!”
“I can just fix you afterward,” Averia replied. “But I’m serious. There’s something... ah. Right.” Saviour’s impossibly keen senses pointed out something that Tony himself must have missed. “Tony, what happened on your last mission? There are residues of a power that I haven’t encountered before although it’s reminiscent of Loki’s sceptre. I’m fairly confident it’s been influencing your mind.”
Tony paled. “What? I...” He pursed his lips. “I had... no. Shit. Did I get hit with something?”
“Possibly. Give me a moment to purge it from your body.” Averia allowed her Semblance to do the rest. Simply stripping the influence out was relatively straight forward. There was some meagre resistance, but Saviour’s will was absolute. “There.”
Tony swallowed thickly and blinked owlishly at them. “Oh. That... that makes a difference.”
“What do you mean?”
“I think that whatever they hit me with... it’s been feeding my paranoia, making me even more nervous about things.” He ran a hand through his hair. “An unsocialised AI? Shit. What was I thinking? The moment it became self-aware it would probably try to stab JARVIS or something.”
“I would hope not, sir, but probably. To a newly emergent but hostile AI, I would be deemed the main threat.”
“Put the AI on the back burner for now,” Averia said. “Or perhaps hand over some of the duties you’ve got in mind to JARVIS. He’s sane, highly capable, and trustworthy.”
“Yeah. Yeah. Maybe.” Tony sat down. “I think I need a drink.” He looked at Averia. “Wait... isn’t it a school night?”
“I am, apparently, studying at the library.”
“...” Tony tilted his head to one side. “And your family bought that?”
“I have an excellent poker face.” Averia shrugged. “Plus, I wanted to check up on all of you.”
“Worried we’ll get blasted when you’re not around?” Tony teased.
“Frankly, yes. Thor and Bruce are sturdy enough to take a bit of blasting, but you’re basically cannon fodder without your suit, Clint really should wear more protective clothing, and I have absolutely no idea how Natasha isn’t noticed more with the glowing strips on her costume.”
“No criticism of Steve?” Tony asked.
“Super soldier plus vibranium shield equals way less likely to die than you without a suit. Plus, Steve has something at least vaguely resembling common sense.”
“Ouch.” Tony clutched at his heart. “Your words cut deep.”
“Only because they’re true.” Averia’s lips twitched. “But, seriously, you guys are my friends. I worry because I care. Things will be easier once I’m in university and have an internship with Stark Industries.”
“What makes you think I’ll give you one?” Tony asked, grinning.
“Are you saying you won’t?” Averia shot back.
“Heh. Pepper would be mad if I didn’t. Plus, having you around adds an extra layer of security. You know, nigh-invincible harbinger of shiny death that you are. Also, I’ve read those papers you wrote for me to review. Even if you weren’t part of the team, I’d still try to hire you the second it was legal. That design for a micro fusion-reactor is insane. JARVIS gives it a 95% probability of working as intended.”
“It’ll work.” Averia knew that for a fact. It was, after all, based heavily on the micro fusion reactors that Diana had designed. “And the world could use a little help on the energy front. The arc reactor is a brilliant design, but for everyday energy needs, fusion should do just fine. Anti-matter would be more powerful, but I’d rather not have those around until we can guarantee their security.”
Tony leaned forward. “You have a design for an anti-matter reactor in that head of yours?”
“I might.”
Bruce cleared his throat. “As wonderful as that is - and it is wonderful - there is a party going on. People are going to ask questions if we don’t show up. And by questions, I think they’ll be wondering what sort of evil plan we’re coming up with.”
“Ah!” Thor greeted Averia with a hearty laugh and reached out to clasp arms with her. His smiled widened when she returned his grip without flinching. “Nice of you to join us. It’s a shame you couldn’t come on our last mission. It was quite fun. Plenty of evil to smite.”
“Alas, Thor, I have school.” Averia bit back a chuckle at the big man’s enthusiasm. “Which means disappearing for a few days at a time isn’t always possible.”
“Ah, yes. School.” Thor nodded sagely. “How does that work here?”
“It involves a great deal less combat than you’re probably thinking. Well, physical combat. Social combat is all the rage in high school.” Averia smiled. “Although... if that invitation to Asgard is still open, I can probably arrange a week away during the next school holidays.” It shouldn’t be too hard to invent an excuse. Perhaps a Stark Industries Student Camp or something? Pepper was always happy to help in exchange for Averia keeping an eye on Tony during missions, so he didn’t do anything insane like grab a nuclear weapon again.
“A week? Yes. Something could certainly be arranged.” Thor downed his drink with one big swig. “I will speak to my father. There are a great many monsters and enemies we can smite!” He paused. “Have you ever fought a dragon?”
Averia nodded. “Yes.”
“Bullshit,” Tony said. “You have not fought a dragon.”
Averia had, in fact, fought multiple dragons... in her previous life and her current one. “Magic is real, Tony. Believe me. I can see it.” There was a certain house that she’d have to pay a visit to, if only because she wanted to make her stance on certain matters clear.
“Where do you usually aim first?” Thor asked thoughtfully. “I myself prefer to go for the head.”
“I suppose it depends on the dragon. If the dragon is slow enough, then a strike to the head that kills it outright is ideal. However, if it’s too quick, you might have to deal with its wings or limbs first to slow it down.”
Tony shook his head. “We’re having a party, and you two are talking about how to kill a dragon.”
“Killing a dragon would make for an excellent party,” Thor replied.
“I agree.’ Averia snickered at Tony’s aghast expression. “But be mindful of the blood.”
“Aye,” Thor said. “Their blood is usually like molten rock. Not a threat to you or I, but Tony here would be ashes without his armour.”
“That is true, but I still feel insulted,” Tony said. “But seriously, magic? So... there are like wizards and stuff just wandering around?”
“More than you think.” Averia hummed thoughtfully. “I’ll tell you what. I plan on meeting with them soon to discuss several... issues. I can bring you with me if you want.”
“Meet actual wizards?” Tony’s eyes gleamed. “Sure. I’m in. Give me a call the day before, okay?”
“Sure.”
Averia watched with amusement as her fellow Avengers tried to lift Thor’s hammer. Saviour allowed her to perceive and understand the limitations on the weapon, and the only one who really stood a chance was Steve. After Steve had threatened to budge the hammer - Thor looked a bit panicked by that - the others had turned to her.
“Nope.” Averia shook her head. “I don’t need any extra weapons.”
“You don’t think you’re worthy?” Thor asked with genuine curiosity.
“It’s not a matter of worthiness,” Averia said. “It would be cheating.”
“Oh?” Tony asked.
“Saviour’s... negation fields, I suppose you could call them, would most likely allow me to lift the hammer regardless of my worthiness. Also...” She gestured, and space warped in a way that made the hammer seem to lift off the table before it returned to its spot. “Stuff like that works too.”
“Wait.” Tony covered his face with his hands. “You can warp space? Why don’t you do that more often?”
“Because it’s usually inefficient for what I want to do.” Averia shrugged. “Teleportation? Why warp space when I can simply choose the coordinates I want to be at and be there? Homing projectiles? Warping space is, admittedly, more useful there, but why not just conceptually link the projectiles to their target, so they basically can never miss?” She paused. “Although I will say that rending space is a very, very useful ability to have. It can bypass most forms of physical durability and strike at higher dimensions.”
“Fuck.” Tony laughed. “I need a stronger drink.” He gave her a petulant pout. “One of these days, we have to get you into a lab to see what you can really do.”
“I sincerely hope you never, ever have to find out what I can do at full strength because that will, as they say, mean that the world has gone to shit.”
“Language,” Steve said. The others looked at him. “Hey, she is younger than us.”
Averia sighed dramatically. “Alas, my foul language can be attributed to Tony. He’s a bad influence.”
“Way to throw me under the bus, kid.” Tony laughed. “Did you know that Steve actually called me out for swearing during our mission.”
The blond man groaned. “Tony...”
“Wait, really?” Averia raised one eyebrow. “While you were fighting?”
“Oh, yeah.”
“Tell me more.”
Averia stayed a bit longer, if only to watch Bruce’s awkward attempts to deal with Natasha’s flirting. Connecting with people her own age had been hard. They just... didn’t have the same sort of experiences as her. She still had friends, but not nearly as many as people believed. Peter, of course, was different. He was her brother. The Avengers, though, they understood.
“You need a ride home?” Tony asked.
Averia stepped out onto the balcony. “No. I think I’ll be fine.”
Tony watched her race up into the sky. “Show off.”

Costume (Final Rose)
"You two..."
Lightning trailed off as she saw what costumes Diana and Fang would be wearing for trick-or-treating.
Diana was going as... Ragnarok.
And Fang?
She was going as Ragnarok too.
"I can't believe you two are just going as your Semblances." Lightning cleared her throat. "Averia, come on. We're about to..."
Averia came down the stairs. She might only have awakened it a few months ago, but that hadn't stopped her from deciding to go trick or treating as Saviour.
"I can't even..." Lightning sighed.
Next door...
Sephiroth smiled as his beloved pet tortoise brandished the miniature Masamune he held in his mouth. The tortoise was also wearing a specially tailored outfit that mimicked Sephiroth's iconic clothing from his younger days.
"Perfect."
"Father," Jihl drawled as the rest of their family cooed over Mako. "Did you really have to dress him up as you? Isn't that a bit... odd?"
"Not at all." Sephiroth pointed out the window. "Just look at the Yun-Farrons."
Jihl blinked. Lightning was the only one who'd made an effort to dress up. The pink-haired woman appeared to be dressed as a hedgehog. But the rest of her family? They'd just chosen to use their Semblances.
"Ah. In that case, I withdraw my objection."

Happy Halloween!

Apron (Final Rose AU)
Averia raised one eyebrow at Yang. "An apron? Just an apron? Really?"
"What?" Yang did a slow pirouette. "You don't like it?"
"I didn't say that," Averia drawled. "I like it quite a lot. I was just worried you might be cold."
"How sweet, darling." Yang smirked. "So... will you help me warm up then?"
"I have a feeling you're warm enough already." Averia smirked back. "Honey." She paused and glanced at the ingredients spread out on the kitchen counter. "Besides, it looks like you're baking."
"Maybe... but it's a pity. I've managed to get myself all dirty. You'll need to help clean me up."
"You look perfectly clean from where I'm standing."
Yang slowly and very much deliberately picked up a bowl of chocolate that had been heated to body temperature before pouring it onto her collarbone. The chocolate slid down and spread across the top of her cleavage before vanishing behind the apron.
"Oops."
"I see." Averia nodded sagely before quickly tossing aside her jacket and removing her tie. She was about to take off her gloves, but Yang stopped her.
"Keep the gloves on, at least for now."
"If you insist." Averia lifted Yang onto the kitchen counter. "Chocolate-flavoured Yang. Not a bad way to end my day."
"Hey, Yang," Ruby asked the next morning. "Do you know what happened to those cooking supplies I bought? I was going to make cookies today."
Yang smiled. "I'll buy you more when I go to the store this afternoon."
"Huh?" Ruby blinked, and then her eyes widened. "Oh. Is this a sex thing?"
Averia took a sip of her hot chocolate. "Very much so."

Bedroom (Final Rose AU)
"Tada!" Yang spun in a slow circle. "Welcome to... my bedroom!"
Averia raised one eyebrow. "Yang. I've visited your house plenty of times. I've been in your bedroom before."
"Well, yeah." Yang grinned. "But this is the first time we've been in my bedroom since we've started, you know, courting."
"I see." A faint smile crossed Averia's lips. "You've successfully managed to lure me into your bedroom. Now what?"
Yang smirked. "Now that I've lured you away from everybody else, it's about time I had my wicked way with you."
"Is that so?" Averia moved to remove her suit jacket. "Then -"
"Nope." Yang shook her head. "No taking your own clothes off. Tonight, I'm in charge."
"Oh?" Averia sighed dramatically. "Then I am utterly at your mercy, my love. Do your worst... or should that be your best?"
Yang snickered and then grabbed Averia's tie. She yanked her into a kiss. "Idiot. Now, get on the bed."
Yang wrapped her arms around Averia. The other woman was utterly relaxed and at ease in a way that was rare. "Have fun?"
Averia chuckled. "What do you think? I thought I made my approval quite clear."
Yang sighed contentedly. "You did - and it's a good thing that I'm pretty tough in every way. I might have lost a bit of hair if I wasn't."
"Teasing me?" Averia gave Yang's hair a warning tug. "If I didn't like that tongue of yours so much, I'd cut it out."
"Oh... kinky." Yang pressed her face into the crook of Averia's shoulder. "It's nice seeing you like this."
"Hmm..." Averia hummed thoughtfully. "I suppose it's a quirk of mine."
"What do you mean?"
"I don't think you've missed the fact that both my mother and I can be a bit... neurotic about certain things. I'm fairly sure it has to do with Saviour. It makes you focus a lot more on categorisation, order, and optimisation. I won't say it's an obsession, but I will say that it's not exactly normal either."
"Yeah...?"
"It's a price I pay, not unlike how my mom and Diana barely even seem to notice when they lose a limb. All Semblances comes with mental adjustments, Saviour just happens to come with more powerful ones than most although it's better than having none and going insane." Averia rolled onto her back, and Yang shifted to use her chest as a pillow. Averia ran a hand through Yang's hair. "Have you ever wondered why I never really did the whole romance thing outside of our relationship?"
"I will admit to being a bit curious about it at times," Yang replied. "I mean you're pretty damn good at it when you put your mind to it."
"And that's the part that matters. Did you know that every time I look at somebody, I can't help but analyse them. It's... scary how much I can see when I look at somebody. Even without using Saviour, I can still pick up on so much from their body language and the way they speak. If I use Saviour even a little bit..."
"Yeah. That's kind of scary."
"It's so easy to manipulate people. You don't even have to be subtle about it the way Jahne or Diana are. Me? I'm as subtle as a bazooka. But I can tell what people want and what they expect. All I have to do is give them what they want in the way they're expecting, and they'll do just about anything." Averia scowled. "It's like a video game, you know, the ones with social interactions where all you have to do to make people like you is meet a number of conditions."
Yang sat up a little and stared into Averia's eyes. "Holy shit. Are you serious?"
Averia nodded. "I'm not going to lie. I used that aspect of my abilities on Weiss and Blake not long after we first met. I could tell they weren't going to get along well without a little bit of... help to ease the tension. Since you and Ruby are on the same team as them, I wanted to nip it in the bud."
Yang thought back to the first time that Averia had met Weiss and Blake. There had been a sparring match... and Averia had asked Weiss and Blake to face her together. She had beat the absolute crap out of them until they had started working together. Thinking back on it, she had specifically attacked in a manner that forced the pair to combine their Semblances and trust each other.
"That is genuinely terrifying." Yang swallowed thickly. "And you're so blunt about things too. Nobody would ever expect it."
Averia nodded. "That's part of why it's so successful. Now, don't get me wrong. Weiss and Blake would eventually have grown closer. Setting aside the specifics of their backgrounds that put them at odds, they are otherwise quite compatible from a social perspective. I simply... hastened things along."
"Yeah. You did."
"This sort of thing is why I avoided romance for so long. It's... hard to really love somebody if you're constantly worried about manipulating them and can see all the ways to make them do what you want. I never had to worry about that with my family because my parents and Diana all have their own countermeasures and Taren, well, he might be a kid, but he's a lot more cunning than you'd think. He has a... sixth sense for this sort of thing."
Yang nodded slowly. "Hey, Averia, did you ever...?"
"Manipulate you like that?" Averia smiled. "Yes and no."
"..."
"I have never used Saviour to make you like me." Averia paused. "Although I suppose using Saviour in the bedroom probably counts. But in terms of just interacting with you, I make a point of disabling Saviour's social manipulation functions as much as I can."
"Why?"
"Because you're not just a puzzle to be solved to me, not just some... some character who I have to maximise social outcomes with. If you like me, I want you to like me for me, not because I can see through you and push all the right buttons." Averia laughed softly. "I still remember the first real fight we had."
"You were..." Yang blinked. "Wait! You were smiling the whole time! I was so pissed off, and I couldn't work out why you were smiling! It made me so mad!"
"Yeah. I was smiling because the fact that I screwed up meant that I wasn't just... optimising our relationship. Screwing up meant that what we had was real, both the bad and the good." Averia shrugged. "It's a bit scary flying blind the way I have been in our relationship, but I really enjoy it too. Just you and and just me."
Yang nodded, and then her eyes twinkled. "Not including the bedroom, right?"
"Of course. We can't forget that." Averia lowered her voice. "Do you want to know another secret?"
"Sure."
"I'm pretty sure that Saviour is at least part of why I enjoy giving so much in a sexual sense and don't mind not receiving quite as much." Averia chuckled. "My mind is... heavily goal oriented. It always has been, but it probably got worse after I got Saviour. And when it comes to the bedroom, my number one of objective has always been your satisfaction. Achieving that goal is... extremely pleasing to me."
Yang's eyes widened. "So...?"
"It's difficult to call it sexual satisfaction although that is certainly a part of it. Hmm..." Averia paused. "It's just... you're one of the most important people in my life. It's to the point that I would prioritise your survival over my own in a life or death situation. Satisfying you, making you feel good, seeing the effect I have on you... it is deeply gratifying on an existential level."
"So... you don't find me sexy?" Yang asked.
Averia gave her a gentle bonk on the head. "Are you crazy? Did you forget what we've just did? I find you incredibly sexy, and I love it when you touch me. I just want you to understand a few things, so you don't feel bad about the... ratio of giving and receiving."
"Ah." Yang's cheeks flushed. "I will admit that I sometimes feel a bit awkward. It seems like I'm the one receiving so much, and it's really, really great, but I don't want to be selfish..."
"You're not selfish. Like I said. I like the way things are." Averia closed her eyes. She was feeling sleepy now, her body wonderfully tired after what Yang had done to her. "But if it helps... I will graciously allow you to ravish me senseless more often."
Yang giggled. "Idiot." She closed her eyes too. "But I'll hold you to that." Her brows furrowed. "Wait... did you put up a silencing field before we got started?"
Averia laughed. "Yang, we're at your house. Your parents are here, along with your siblings. Of course, I put up a silencing field. Otherwise, we'd traumatise your siblings, piss off your Raven Mom and your dad, and..."
"Have my Summer Mom throwing a parade and a wedding?"
"Pretty much."

Show Off (Final Rose AU?)
"You know," Yang drawled as she took up a fighting stance opposite Averia. "For someone with such a powerful Semblance, you really could show off a little more."
Averia shrugged. "Why bother? Besides, Saviour already feels incredibly unfair. Showing off would be... unseemly."
"Just humour me." Yang grinned. "I'm curious to see what you showing off would be like."
Averia sighed. "The things I do for love... fine."
Slowly, majestically, Averia extended one arm out to the side.
"Saviour..." Averia murmured. "Heed my call."
Silence fell over the training ground as ribbons of white light completely covered Averia. They formed a cocoon of crystal that shattered apart to reveal Averia wearing the iconic armour of Saviour.
Yang gave a low whistle of approval. "Not bad. But you normally have a sword, right?"
Averia rolled her eyes and gazed at the sky. She lifted one hand. "To me, my sword."
The clouds parted, and a beam of light raced down from the summit of the sky. It struck the ground beside her and solidified into the sword she preferred to use when Saviour was active.
"Okay, that was pretty cool."

Hey Raz, I got curious. So far we've seen how Averia would be if she ends up with someone who has a less dominant personality than hers, the closest would be Yang tbh. How would she be if she ended up with someone that could match hers? Kinda like how Lightning and Fang are
Averia's biggest problem in that area is that most of the people with a personality like that are related to her (cue the necessary sister fixation joke). Her tyranny index is so high that only Lightning really exceeds her.
That said, if she was in that sort of dynamic, it probably would look a lot like how Lightning is with Fang.
One of the fundamental problems that Averia has is that deep down inside, she knows she could absolutely kick the crap out of practically anybody. Lightning and Fang have the relationship they do at least partially because Lightning knows that Fang can and will stand up to her in every single way. Fang is one of the only people alive who can legitimately tell Lightning to go screw herself (although Fang would much rather do the screwing).

Out (Final Rose)
It was at that moment that Yang Xiao Long knew she had fucked up.
And that she was about to get fucked.
"Out." Averia's voice was harsh, far closer to a growl than civilised speech.
Weiss blinked. "What?"
Averia's eyes narrowed into slits of emerald fury. "You." Her gaze snapped to Weiss, Ruby, and Blake. "Out. Now."
"This is our dorm room!" Weiss protested. "You can't just -"
The sudden eruption of Aura had Weiss, Ruby, and Blake scrambling for the door. Averia wasn't just angry. She was absolutely enraged, and none of them were brave enough to get between Averia and her target.
Suddenly alone with Averia, Yang could only gulp as Averia shut the door behind her, locked it, and then threw a Saviour-based forcefield over the entire room. Forget being disturbed, they might as well be in another universe right now.
"Uh..."
"You fucking tease," Averia snarled.
Yang's mouth went dry. Averia almost never sweared, and she couldn't even remember the last time she'd sworn with such venom behind it.
"I'm sure you had a lot of fun during the mission."
Averia stalked forward, and Yang shivered. There was an intoxicating mix of madness, fury, and desire in the other woman's eyes. Her Aura pulsed, heavy with the threat of violence and the promise of pleasure.
"You knew exactly what you were doing, didn't you?"
Yang did. Before the joint mission between Team ACEJ and Team RWBY, Yang had asked Averia to promise her something. Ever indulgent, the other woman had agreed.
And so Yang had made Averia promise not to touch her during the mission. Anything outside of the usual contact that might be expected during joint combat was forbidden. There were to be no hugs, no kisses, and absolutely no sex.
Averia had agreed without a second thought.
After all, the mission was only supposed to take a couple of days.
But the mission hadn't taken just a couple of days.
One thing had led to another, and it had dragged on for three weeks.
And because Yang had always liked to push, to see just how much she could get away with, she had started teasing Averia. It had started off with heated looks but had rapidly escalated into slightly more revealing clothing and even fleeting touches. The promise had been quite specific about Averia touching Yang, but the opposite wasn't true. Those fleeting touches had then given way to lingering caresses and heated embraces, none of which had led any further.
There was something viscerally thrilling about watching Averia's control slowly but surely disintegrate. The pink-haired woman was normally a paragon of self-control, so utterly self-possessed and unflappable that it was almost always Yang who was flustered, almost always Yang who was driven almost insane with need. To finally have the shoe on the other foot was intoxicating.
Then the mission had ended, which meant the promise no longer applied. And Yang found herself staring at a half-insane bearer of Saviour who seemed torn between beating the shit out of her and fucking her senseless, or possibly doing both.
"Uh..." Yang held her hands up placatingly. "I might have gone a little bit far, but you know..."
"Shut the fuck up," Averia hissed. "Three weeks, Yang. I put up with your shit for three weeks."
Yang found herself backing up until her back met the wall. She briefly considered throwing herself out the window before remembering what Averia had done. There was no escaping what was about to happen. "Would it help if I said I was sorry?" An involuntary giggle left her lips, and Averia glared.
"Did you just fucking giggle?"
"No -"
"You fucking giggled. I can't believe it." Averia stalked forward. "Three weeks, Yang. You know how I have perfect memory? I can't even remember what happened during the mission because all I could think about was fucking you. So that's what I'm going to do." Averia's leaned forward to whisper into Yang's ear. "Three weeks. For the next three weeks, that's all I'll be doing."
Yang almost came then and there. "But... we've got classes and missions and -"
"Do you think time means a fucking thing in here?" Averia gestured vaguely at the room around them, the room she'd completely surrounded in Saviour's power. "I can do whatever I want to you, and there's not a damn thing anyone can do about it."
Yang swallowed thickly. "You know... you're kind of being a little scary right now."
Averia's eyes narrowed ominously. "Good. Maybe this time you'll learn your damn lesson." She grabbed Yang's wrist and tossed her onto the bed. "You wanted to push me? Congratulations. Consider me pushed." She bared her teeth. "I had three weeks to come up with ideas, Yang, and you will be experiencing each and every one of them."

When the Saviour field around their dorm room finally vanished, Ruby, Blake, and Weiss warily made their way back.
"Uh..." Ruby knocked on the door. "Can we come in now?"
Averia's voice was calm. "Of course, Ruby."
Ruby opened the door and took a quick look around. The dorm room seemed okay, but that wasn't exactly reassuring considering what Saviour was capable of.
Averia was sipping on a cup of tea at Yang's desk while Yang herself was asleep. The blonde had been tucked into bed, and Averia gave her a fond look before turning her attention to Ruby.
"So... um... is everything okay now?" Ruby asked timidly. "You're not mad anymore?"
"Yang has learned her lesson," Averia said primly. "Although it did take a great deal of effort on my part to educate her."
"And by lesson...?" Blake asked.
Averia's calm expression vanished momentarily, and for a moment, they caught a glimpse of passion so intense it stole their breath away. Averia took a deep breath and had another sip of tea.
"Imagine the hottest, most frenzied and passionate sex that you can. Now imagine three weeks of that enhanced with all of Saviour's optimisation and all the ideas I came up with while Yang was busy teasing me during our mission." Averia smiled thinly. "There is a reason Yang is asleep right now and probably won't wake for at least a day or two. And if she isn't limping when she does wake up, it'll be a miracle."
"..." Blake's jaw dropped.
"Let me be absolutely clear. Yang fucked around, and she found out." Averia's lips curled. "It's a good thing that Yang and I are planning to get married when we graduate because I have absolutely ruined sex for her with anyone else. Nothing will ever feel remotely as good as the way I make her feel, and the next time she decides to be obnoxious, she had better remember that."
Averia finished her tea and stood. "Don't worry about cleaning or anything like that. I made sure to handle it all with Saviour." She glanced back at Yang before leaving the room. "And when Yang wakes up, tell her that I will not tolerate any lapses in behaviour."
The three other members of Team RWBY watched Averia leave.
"That was absolutely fucking terrifying," Weiss whispered.
"I'm really scared right now," Ruby added.
Blake stared at the two of them. "I can't be the only one who thinks that was really hot too, right?"
"Absolutely," Weiss said, nodding. "Yang is so fucking lucky."
Ruby gulped. "If I didn't already know I liked women, I would now."

Author's Notes
One of the more interesting quirks about a Yang x Averia relationship in comparison to an Elsa x Averia relationship is the dynamic. Yang is way more willing to push and poke and prod at Averia. And Averia has increasingly little fucks to give about pushing back.
It's a strange cycle. Yang loves provoking a reaction from Averia, and Averia loves to assert herself. As you can imagine, being fucked into complete sexual oblivion on a regular basis is not exactly a deterrent for Yang. If anything, it just incentives her behaviour.
Intellectually, Averia knows this. But at the same time, the two of them both enjoy it so much that neither of them is inclined to stop. Their quirks, so to speak, line up perfectly. As Diana once dryly observed, it's a good thing that Averia isn't a man. Otherwise, they'd have to worry about unplanned pregnancy.
On a slightly more serious note, the only reason this works is because of the trust the two have in each other. No matter what, Yang is absolutely, positively sure that Averia will never truly hurt her. Without that trust, this sort of thing just wouldn't work. Averia's fury wouldn't be arousing, it would be terrifying.
As for what they did in that room, I'll leave that to your imagination. But Averia did have three weeks to come up with ideas, and she let Saviour go absolutely wild during the three weeks of extended time they had in that room. Averia's comment at the end was not an idle boast. She is quite a possessive person.
Incidentally, this whole thing has Lightning quietly preparing the wedding. After all, Lightning has Saviour. She can sense the time dilation effect and guess what's happening inside the room. She will also be having a chat with Averia because she can sense how this whole thing has affected Averia's Saviour. Regardless of their marital status, Averia's Saviour has basically designated Yang as 'wife', which means weapons free and rules out the window when it comes to Yang. The next time they visit Oerba, you can bet that Fang will be telling all the other young men and women to watch what they do and where they look if they want to continue living.

Barnacle (Final Rose)
"You know, at some point, you're going to have to let go to use the bathroom."
Averia was doing her best to watch television with Diana clinging onto her back like a spiky-haired barnacle.
Diana nuzzled Averia's cheek happily. "Not really. I don't go to the bathroom unless I want to."
"..." Averia turned her head. "Are you serious?"
Diana made a happy sound. "Yep! Ragnarok digests everything."
"But you go to the bathroom every morning..."
"Only because I feel like it." Diana shrugged. "Mommy says my body still produces some waste because I want it to... it helps me feel more normal. But that doesn't have to happen unless I want it to."
"..." Averia sighed. "Diana, get off my back."
"Never!"
