COMMISSION INFO!! PLEASE READ!! SORRY!!
All payments done via Paypal, I try to price things what I believe to be fairly, I don't have many examples because I only drew one thing so far this month oops
Icon - $5 base (single character simple background), + $2 for two characters, + $3 for detailed background, $10 max cost. Square canvas
I don't divide based on how much is being drawn so the next two are based on personal preference
Simple drawing- $10 base (single character simple background), I'm talkin' more basic stuff, no detailed props, just a guy vibing, + $5 for two characters, + $5 for detailed background (I should specify that the average background isn't just a white canvas but instead a lazy attempt at a scene, max cost would be $20
Complex drawing - $15 base (single character simple background), this is your action shots, your vending machines that take you 20 days to complete drawing (do ask), more dynamic poses and all that. + $10 added character (complex) vs. + $5 added character (simple) difference is one can join in the fun the other gets to stand on the sidelines shouting you go girl or something, detailed background is + $10 for all my vending machine related troubles (don't ever make me draw another one). Max cost $35 but in my defense I'm pretty good at drawing backgrounds
Refs - $20 base with front, side, and back angles included, + $5 for silly doodles, + $5 if you want me to explain your ocs lore in a paragraph, at most $30, if you just want like a front look it's $10
Note that I will draw; Ship art, gore/violence, original characters, animals and/or pokemon, and any sort of fictional character so long as the design isn't sexualized because I am 16
I will not draw; Nsfw, anthro (I just don't have the experience), vending machines unless you tip /j, super detailed mechs, and anything I deem offensive
Non human characters (animals/pokemon) are priced the same as people cuz I have more experience drawing humans, also everything will have dynamic lighting because I like doing dynamic lighting
I reserve the right to refuse any client and also please be patient I am one guy and I'm currently attending community college as a dual enrollment thing so I'm kinda busy, I work as fast as I can though, images will be watermarked until payment is received, tips appreciated but not necessary as I believe I've valued my work efficiently
Here are the two examples of of my art style I have
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One took a night the other took 25 days but I promise so long as there's no vending machines I will not take 25 days thank you please consider supporting me I'm just a little guy
New example!!

having autism and your hyperfixations being historical fiction and art history is so difficult when you're poor living on an island because the only thing i can think about constantly is that i NEED to be in amherst or sleepy hollow right now and forever and that it's not okay because it's all i can think of. also i quite like run on sentences. i like to talk can you tell?
also like anytime someone asks me if i can go anywhere in the world they expect something cool like london or iceland or something. but nope. massachusetts!!!
"if you could go any where in the world with no restrictions and have a luxury visit where would you go?"
"amherst"
"what??"
"or sleepy hollow"
"but like you can go anywhere you want for free and have everything you want"
"amherst or sleepy hollow."
"new york city???"
"SLEEPY HOLLOW"
like i just need to breathe the history and experience new things but it's only appealing if it's related to a special interest or hyperfixation. like yeah bali is cool but id be so lost there. i have the city of amherst almost memorized. i know all the spots in sleepy hollow. i know average commute and hostel prices in both places.
yeah it's a more urbanized, highly technically advanced, and geographically different from the specific times i fixate on but it's the ROOTS. it's the culture it's the home it's the history. people lived and died in these places and there's a story.
also i haven't been on the mainland since i was 5. i was born in arizona but to connect with my culture my family moved us to Hawai'i and due to financial difficulty ive not been able to visit anywhere on the mainland so the only life i know and experience is the one i have here.
don't know WHY i needed to write all of this but i did. it was supposed to be a short silly text post but i feel overly passionate about these places and then i gave you my life story.
it would just be so interesting for me to be in a place where i know the backgrounds of it. i know of the stories and people who lived there. heavy on amherst, i want to see where emily dickinson was brought up. i want to visit her home- turned museum + austin and sues house adjacent, i want to visit amherst college and possibly even attend if it truly piques my interest. etc
i am so so so so passionate about these things. born to be rich and travel the world forced to be born in poverty and stay in one place </3
i just think people take this planet so for granted it's crazy to me. i NEED to see what's out there. there's centuries of history everywhere and i want to explore everything and understand how people may have once lived before me and how it's transformed to the way it is today. need a rich person to sponsor my trip to amherst and sleepy hollow (/j)
don't know WHO is reading this but i felt the need to share. anyway. if you're reading this give me some historical fictions to check out along with places to look into👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

My daily neurodivergent journal/diary
Tumblr media
Hi lovely people of Tumblr! I'm J and I am an autistic ADHD'er. I have been diagnosed with AD(h)D since December 2023 and have been diagnosed with autism for about a month. Recently I have been keeping a diary/journal because I noticed I had a lot of recurring negative thoughts and I also wanted to keep track of my emotions for my therapy sessions (bc I always forget what I felt during the week I don't see my therapist). I have personally found that reading others experiences helped me a lot because; 1. I found a lot of recognition. 2. I could compare how symptoms presented in others with ADHD/Autism. 3. I have a new hyperfyxation and want to know everything there is to know about neurodivergence lol. I also like to write in my diary as if im writing a book or to an audience so there's that. So if any of these (or something else ofc) applies to you; welcome to my blog!
But before I start I thought I would share my story for anyone that's interested.
For as long as I could possibly remember (doesn't say a lot) I have felt extremely different from everyone else around me. I would overthink things, even as a little girl. I remember as a little girl people would always tell me "J it doesn't matter, stop overthinking and do it". Funny thing that is, because when I graduated flight attendant school two years ago they gave me a note along with my 100% exam score that said: "Stop thinking, just do". As you can tell, this has followed me my entire life. My head has been full of thoughts and music and movie sentences & so so much more. When I learned that this wasn't normal, things were already falling into place for me a bit. I don't belong here, in this society, surrounded by these people. But hey I was a kid! what do I know?
Having these thoughts I went through my teenage years, trough high school and college (imagine dramatic DUNDUNDUN sounds right here). I always felt like I was in a social hell. Honestly, the learning didn't even bother me (don't get me started on homework tho). It was just the social interactions of walking to class, having lunch, passing people in hallways, working in groups (I think you get it now). I had very bad anxiety but wouldn't let anyone know, especially growing up in a household that hates therapists (bc they blamed them lol). Let me sum up my time in highschool and college real quick; problems concentrating, procastinating, close group of friends, always late, almost expelled bc of my low attendance, low/average grades on normal tests but absolutely excelled on exams, could have a high degree but couldn't be arsed so went for average. How do I have 2 diplomas you ask? no clue except for I was kinda sorta smart except for the fact im not smart but just hyper fixated the night before every exam :)
Soo after all of that I became a flight attendant at 19 yrs old, and absolutely hated every second of it. Oh, don't even get me started on the extreme sensory overload. I did have a lot of bad experiences with colleagues so maybe im a little spooked by that, but overall 1/10 experience. The initial training summed up: almost got kicked out bc I was late 2 times (which was the limit), trouble making friends bc I thought no one liked me, extreme insecurities because of multiple exams, I arrived sweaty and anxious every morning, almost got kicked out because I was tired a lot and almost fell asleep, I couldn't concentrate on the 10/12h lectures, I couldn't concentrate because my heels were killing my feet, the clothing & so much makeup annoyed me. Honestly I could go on but I think this sums up my time because the training only lasted 2 weeks ;)
I flew for 9 months and most of the things above were the same during that time. I arrived sweaty every morning because I had so much stress. Before every flight they ask you safety questions & I had to learn every morning all over again because I kept forgetting everything & all the tiny details. Also the social aspect was so horrifying for me, every flight there was an entire new crew so there was excruciatingly much small talk (which Im not very good at). I think I called in sick 12 times because of sleep trouble, I felt sick, I felt stressed out, I just couldn't handle it. Everyone around me was so proud of me, until the end of my summer contract and I didn't go back. I don't think ive ever felt as much disappointment towards me as when I told my family I didn't like being a FA and basically wasted four years of my life going to flight attendant school (college).
After all that bull# I became a receptionist, I welcomed important business partners at the head office of T-Mobile. I did a lot of administrative tasks and social stuff (I did it to myself atp). And guys you'll never guess what!? I absolutely hated my time there. I did have a great colleague but for some reason I always felt she wasn't being genuine with me. She loved shopping and so did I (a lil too much) and together we would shop online, and this is where my neuro journey starts.
I started shopping so much until I had no money left, but I still needed to shop. I had such an extreme urge to shop anything I would know give me a good feeling. I started buying stuff with apps like Klarna and Afterpay to the point it was impossible for me to pay on the deadlines. I will sum it up bc im not ready to share the entire story yet, but best believe I was in a loooot of trouble and this was also when the worst year of my life would start. I went to a clinic for addiction ad had weekly talks with a therapist. We found out very quickly that something else was going on, something that caused my shopping addiction. So the psychiatrist there got involved, initially they thought of ASD but me and my stupid prejudices wouldn't have it. A week after that conversation with the psychiatrist he tested me for ADHD and dingdingding! There it was, and almost a perfect score might I add. Finally I had a reason for being so.. me. I started doing research and reading books which helped me feel a lot of recognition. Still, something didn't entirely feel right. They couldn't start medications because I was there for addiction initially so I had to wait until I could go to a psychiatrist (waitlists here in Europe are a nightmare).
In January this year I stopped going to the clinic and got prescriptions for my medications from my gp/doctor. I tried 2 types of meds but still, there was this part of me that said "what now?, nothing has changed yet.. is it ever going to?" something still felt missing. In March I had my first appointment with my new and current therapist. I was so extremely nervous because I honestly didn't even know what exactly I needed help with. I just felt lost and wanted to fix my life again. I started telling my entire story to this new therapist and immediately I felt he understood me. I told him about my former therapist and psychiatrist's initial thoughts of ASD and he said we could see if there was any reason for looking into ASD if I felt comfortable with that. I told him I was, even though it freaked me out but I wanted/needed to know. So he gave me two forms to fill out which were general questions to figure out if there was even any reason to think about ASD. I emailed him the forms so he would have an answer by the time we would meet again. Sure enough, when we met a week later he told me there was indeed reason to start a ASD diagnosis interview because I scored in all aspects. So we did do a interview and a week or so after that I was officially diagnosed with Autism. During the entire week after the interview I couldn't get out of the house. I was afraid to tell my parents but I did anyway, and my mom's reaction was "surely you don't have it, I know so many autistic people and you are not like them". Well mom, how wrong you were. This entire month has been such a rollercoaster of emotions. I am now an autistic woman with ADHD, yay?. It makes lots of sense now, but in the beginning I kept picturing this 8 year old autistic boy that was in my class, who kept trying to fight me because I thought I was Travis Barker drumming on my table. The boy who wore big bright red headphones and would sit in a corner, facing the wall and rocking so fast it gave me the creeps. The boy who would fight and scream and no one liked. That wasn't me, it couldn't be, it can't be. After doing my research I found out this indeed was't me, but autism presents different in everyone. Especially after reading Ellie Middleton's (love her so much) unmasked I finally understood myself. I'm not yet at that phase of acceptance because yes I have autism and that's why people think im weird sometimes, im just wired differently. It just still doesn't take away the fact im still weird and an outcast. I don't relate to a lot of other autistic people, I don't relate to most neurotypicals, so what do I do now?
I guess that's why I started this blog. I want to find out and when I finally get to that point of acceptance, or at least contempt, I can look back at how I got where I am at that point.
If anyone has any tips or anything feel free to message me or comment under my posts. This is a judgement free zone but if I said something wrong please feel free to correct me and educate me if needed :) Also if anyone ever wants to talk, im here! I may not be good at social stuff but if you made it to here, you'll know why.
Love & hugs,
J

Exploration of a negative situation of a sports venue
As a sports fan, a sports venue is one of making people feel excited to visit in terms of enjoying sports. It is more enjoyable to watch any of their favourite sports game rather than just stay at home and watch games on TV. However, it has become fewer people go to sports venues. Over the last decade, professional sports teams across North America have declined by more than 10% in average attendance (Olavsrud, 2023). People are used to going to a sports venue and paying for it even though the price is high rather than staying at home and watching the TV. One of the reasons why is improving technologies such as the quality of cameras or social media posts. There is often a better camera angle available to fans at home (Olavsrud, 2023). As Wakefield and Bennett mentioned that today, fans are more influenced by the media surrounding their favourite teams (2018). Social media has been significantly increasing and sports fans are using it more and more.
On the other hand, there are more benefits to going to the stadiums and watching games rather than on TV. When you are in a stadium or arena, you can feel an energy and excitement that you cannot get from watching at home (Lalonde, 2022). Also, Berthiaume stated that spectators can feel part of the spectacle, thus heightening the overall sensory experience (2022) which they would not get experiences if on the TV. Fans' emotional and behavioural responses are influenced by the stadium atmosphere, which includes crowd, noise, smell, lighting, music, and visual design (Yoshida et al., 2021 as cited in Biscaia et al., 2013, Chen et al., 2013, Yoshida & James, 2010). The number of sports fans attending games continues to rise, as evidenced by billions spent on attending games by consumers (Martinez, 2020). Sports fans pay a lot of money for it because of their passion, enjoyment and cheering for their following teams, and they thought all experiences they could have are worthful.
Other benefits are the social perspective that people can meet new people and start talking. For example, when you sit at their seat and someone sits next to you, they might start a conversation and enjoy watching the games together with drinking and eating.
The number of sports fans attending games continues to rise, as evidenced by billions spent on attending games by consumers (Martinez, 2020).

The Plight of Adjunct Faculty on America's Campuses, by Mark J. Drozdowski, Ed.D.
I've been an adjunct professor for 20 years, teaching courses from time to time at various universities while working full time as a college administrator and consultant. Teaching is a passion of mine that happens to provide a few extra bucks on the side.
Yet for tens of thousands of adjunct professors, teaching part time is a dead-end job that doesn't provide a living wage. Most barely scrape by despite having a Ph.D. and years of classroom experience.
Adjuncts are higher education's version of migrant laborers — professionals hopping from campus to campus with no job security, a meager income, no health insurance or retirement benefits, and little hope for advancement. And their numbers are growing.
College students will likely encounter many adjunct instructors during their time in school, though many won't know it or even care. But are they being duped? Is this a classic bait-and-switch scenario deceiving students and families who assume classes are taught by "real" faculty? Does the increasing reliance on adjunct faculty threaten the quality and viability of higher education?
Most Adjuncts Earn Poverty-Level Wages
The full-time, tenure-track professor is a dying breed. Today, part-time faculty members constitute 40% of the academic workforce, compared to just 24% in 1975. More broadly, the classification of "contingent" faculty — which includes part-time adjuncts, full-time instructors not on the tenure track, and graduate-student teaching assistants — accounts for roughly 75% of the instructional staff across America's colleges and universities.
Adjuncts often cobble together a living by teaching at several institutions. A 2014 congressional reportrevealed that 89% of adjuncts taught at more than one college, while 27% worked at three schools and 13% taught at four or more, often requiring lengthy commutes between campuses.
Currently, adjuncts earn an average of just $2,700 per course and as little as $1,500 per course at community colleges. All told, adjuncts typically earn between $20,000 and $25,000 annually, compared to the $80,000 average salary for full-time professors, putting them below the federal poverty guideline for a family of four.
Adjuncts earn an average of just $2,700 per course and as little as $1,500 per course at community colleges. This equals about $20,000-$25,000 annually.
It's no wonder, then, that nearly 25% of adjunct faculty require public assistance, and a mere 15% say they can comfortably cover basic expenses each month. An adjunct professor in New England, for example, has to teach four classes a year just to put food on the table for their family.
On top of financial woes, most adjuncts have no health or disability benefits, face an uncertain job market semester to semester, and can have classes canceled at the last minute because of low enrollment or other factors.
Stress and anxiety are simply a way of life. Stories abound of adjuncts sleeping in empty classrooms or cars and having mental breakdowns while teetering on the edge of personal and professional disaster. It's certainly not the life they envisioned while in graduate school.
Adjuncts Face Increased Levels of Stress, Burnout
An essay by an anonymous adjunct chronicles his career spanning 25 years of teaching part time. He's taught more than 500 courses across seven colleges, putting in 16-hour days and 80-hour weeks. His repertoire features 60 courses, including 25 he's created from scratch, and he's taught as many as 27 courses in one year.
He does it for the love of teaching and the betterment of students, but he's justifiably burnt out and at the end of his rope. He is, as the title of his essay suggests, on a "treadmill to oblivion."
And he's not alone. Tens of thousands of adjuncts are overworked and overstressed, which can lead to inferior teaching and learning and a lack of meaningful engagement with students. In its 2020 report titled "An Army of Temps," the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) notes that the continuing trend toward employing contingent faculty "undermines the faculty role in student success."
Tens of thousands of adjuncts are overworked and overstressed, which can lead to inferior teaching and learning.
Adjuncts logging long hours and traveling from campus to campus don't have sufficient time to prepare for classes or provide thorough feedback on assignments. They don't have offices, let alone office hours. They're hit-and-run teachers — not long-term mentors or collaborators on research projects. They can't get to know students well and write recommendations for employment or graduate school.
And given the lack of tenure and job security, they're less likely to risk future employment by introducing controversial ideas and encouraging students to think critically about thorny issues. While some may be outstanding teachers, adjuncts are not, claims AFT, "deployed adequately by their departments or institutions to enhance the education experience for students."
Does this situation constitute an act of fraud, then, on the part of colleges and universities? Are students receiving an education — and evaluations and grades — from the faculty advertised on websites and in course catalogs? Are families getting a fair return on their considerable investment?
As more tuition dollars flow into colleges, fewer are being spent directly on teaching and learning.
What if they knew before making that first tuition payment that their student would be taught primarily by a revolving door of part-timers and not, as the colleges so proudly declare, by the "world-class" faculty who burnish their brand?
Consider, too, that as tuition costs have mushroomed, the percentage of school spending on instructional costs has failed to keep pace. Over the past 20 years, the average tuition at private universities has risen 144%. Out-of-state tuition and fees at public institutions have increased 165%, while in-state costs have grown 212%.
But increases in spending on instruction have lagged behind expenditures on other areas, such as research, academic support, and student services. In other words, as more tuition dollars flow into colleges, fewer are being spent directly on teaching and learning, perhaps owing to the shift toward paying cheaper adjuncts instead of hiring full-time faculty.
Women and Minorities Make Up Disproportionate Number of Adjuncts
A study by the TIAA Institute offers some good news: Women and underrepresented minorities gained a greater share of faculty positions over a 20-year period. The bad news: Most of those gains occurred at the part-time and adjunct ranks.
Minorities hold only 10% of tenured jobs, while women hold 49% of faculty positions but only 38% of tenured jobs. During that period, part-time appointments for women grew 144%, raising the percentage of women in part-time roles from 48% to 56%. Whether these trends result from inherent biases among senior faculty and administrators remains unclear, but it's certainly plausible.
Where bias clearly does exist is in the notion that adjunct faculty can make the leap to full-time, tenured jobs. Adjuncts are cursed with a stigma of inferiority that prevents them from advancing professionally.
Minorities hold only 10% of tenured jobs, while women hold 49% of faculty positions but only 38% of tenured jobs.
The anonymous adjunct mentioned earlier noted that during his 25 years in the field, he's seen only one part-timer make such a transition. "Once in that ghettoized space," writes Angela B. Fulk, another long-time adjunct, "most of us will find it impossible to escape."
Adjuncts are most assuredly an exploited labor class — a tool of convenience that provides universities flexibility and cost savings. And what happens when people become tired of exploitation? They unionize.
In the 2018 book "Professors in the Gig Economy: Unionizing Adjunct Faculty in America," numerous authors examine the national labor movement that resulted in 35 collective bargaining agreements being ratified between 2010 and 2016. As a result, some adjuncts have achieved higher wages, better benefits, and greater job stability.
Despite these important gains, critics claim the unionization movement has done little to meaningfully change the contingency nature of adjunct employment.
The Future of the Adjunct in Higher Education
As an adjunct myself, I've never considered making a move to the ranks of full-time faculty, assuming that's even possible. Like many part-timers, I teach courses related to my profession, offering students insights from the trenches that complement what they learn in books and articles. These "pracademics" add special value to the curriculum in certain fields and are quite often perfectly happy maintaining their part-time status.
Yet for another class of faculty, especially those in the humanities and social sciences, teaching is Plan A. So many adjuncts enter and exit graduate school eyeing a career doing what they love — teaching students and immersing themselves in university life.
They tire of hearing comments suggesting no one is forcing them to remain on this treadmill, that they chose this path fully aware of the flooded and difficult academic job market, and that they should finally consider giving it all up and doing something else. They love their field and want to teach, and they'll cling to the faint hope it'll all work out someday.
For most, it won't. But perhaps their conditions will continue to improve through collective bargaining and the growing realization on campuses and beyond that these dedicated academics deserve better.
