(story continued from last three posts) And that's when our evening really started to turn into a blessing in disguise. Loki was out, meeting guests. I'd met him with Thor the day before, dressed as The 13th Doctor. He surprised me because he /remembered/ me. Even in a completely different cosplay! He said "Oh, I remember you!" And talked about how he and his brother had met me the day before and I had refused to tell them my name. They had to look at my button. (I said "The Doctor" and then Thor spotted my Birthday button, which said "Sparrow" and I had to think fast. "That's my... Other name!" which became a talk about having many names.) He then went on to ask me why I changed my look so often, and if I was hiding from someone. Asked if I was a variant. (I may have hinted at yes) He talked about how he doesn't really change his look because he likes the attention this one gets him. I told him I have some looks for attention and others not so much for attention. Apparently, that meant I was "More of a Loki than you realize." And "Less like one of those Avengers you dress to align yourself with." He said he liked the black, and the outfit needed more green. I told him I'd work on that, as well as some more gold. This interaction made me so ridiculously happy that I was giggling about it for the next half hour, which in turn, made my mom happy. Mostly because that fits Winter so well, and hearing Loki say that /they/ were more of a Loki than they realize. Ended the night with a very, very special interaction to me. I can barley put into words how much what Loki said made me squeak. He, first of all, remembered me. From when I met him and Thor as The Doctor. He was talking about how "you wouldn't tell us your name" and then was asking me if I was a Variant, why I changed my look all the time, if I was hiding from someone. We went from there to him pointing out "You're more of a Loki than you realize.." and that being a Loki would suit me better than The Avengers.
