⥠I See You

Pairing ââ Neteyam x Fem!Omaticaya!Reader Word ââ 3k Synopsis ââ In which Neteyam gets jealous about the reader having a lot of suitors, as he wants her for himself. Warnings ââ A jealous!Neteyam, a little bit of angry!Neteyam, Neteyam wanting to confess to Y/N but having an internal block, Possessive!Neteyam? Yandere!Neteyam?! o.O (I wasn't expecting this as I wrote it, fr) Fluffy moments ahead! Let me know if I should warn something :) A/n ââ This is my first fic/imagine of Neteyam (hearts in my eyes). I saw the film a long time ago, but I never wrote an imagine for this lovely boy. But now, here I am! Let me know if you liked it <3 Images are not mine, so credit goes to the respective owners. English is not my first language!
Neteyam was irritated. Anyone who looked at him could tell he was practically steaming, his narrowed eyes glued to the ground, his firm steps carrying him somewhere far away from the clan before he did something he might regretâor something that would earn him a stern lecture (and punishment) from Jake later on.
Once again, the eldest Sully had seen Y/n being politely courted by one of the other boys in the clan. He chuckled bitterly to himself, almost scoffing. Of course, Y/n was being courted by every young Omaticaya in the hopes of making her their mate.
If this had been a few years ago, back when Neteyam wasnât even aware of Y/nâs existenceâtoo busy with training and missions assigned by his fatherâhe wouldnât have cared about her constantly being approached. But from the moment he truly noticed her, something inside him had shifted. And that something drove him to the brink of madness every time another boy approached her.
Of course, he couldnât expect that not to happen. Y/n was, by far, the most beautiful young woman in the clan. But it wasnât just that. It wasnât only her perfectly amber eyes, designed so flawlessly by Eywa, or her long, dark hair that seemed to reflect all of Pandoraâs natural light, or even her radiant smile that adorned her small, round face so perfectly. No, it was more than just her looks, though the entire clanâespecially the young Omaticaya menâhad to notice those things about her, too.
Still, Neteyam was utterly jealous. And furious. He couldnât just hide Y/n away from everyone, keep her somewhere safe where only he could see her, appreciate her, talk to her. Maybe even touch herâif he didnât combust from the thought alone.
Every time he interacted with Y/n, Neteyamâs heart would pound harder and faster, his face would flush, and his palms would sweat. When he first started feeling this way, the Omaticaya thought he was ill and grew concerned, which drew Jakeâs attention. Eventually, Neteyam couldnât keep it to himself and told his father what was bothering him.
Jake Sully had to fight back a laugh when his eldest said he was in loveâthough not in those exact words. Still, Jake kept a serious face to maintain his authority. Jake liked Y/n; she was a good girl. He had practically watched her grow up, just as heâd watched Neteyam grow up. But he didnât like how much she was distracting his son. As a final piece of advice, the patriarch told his son to focus harder on his training until he felt ready to confess his feelings.
And so, until that day came, Neteyam settled for forming a friendship with the young woman. He poured himself into his training, trying harder every day to push those feelings away.
Neytiri, on the other hand, had noticed what was happening without needing a word from Neteyam. She saw how he acted whenever Y/n was nearby during any clan gathering. She saw his reactions as he struggled to hide his emotions, forget them, and behave naturally around the girl. Neytiri liked Y/n, too. She thought the young woman was beautiful, talented, and caring. If it was Eywaâs will, she would gladly welcome Y/n as a daughter when Neteyam finally woke up and claimed her as his mate.
But Neytiri thought that day might take a whileâand she hoped it wouldnât be too late by the time Neteyam finally confessed.
âNeteyam?â Y/nâs sweet, melodic voice called from behind him, breaking through his thoughts. He kept walking, his long, purposeful strides carrying him anywhere far from the girl who occupied his mindâand who was now standing right behind him.
Neteyam didnât stop walking, but his ears, along with the stiffness in his tail and shoulders, betrayed that he had heard Y/n and was fully aware of her presence.
Y/n was confused but decided to follow him in silence. She trailed after the boy through paths filled with lush vegetation and small animals, eventually arriving at a breathtaking view of Pandora from the heights of one of the great trees. The girl smiled at the sight but quickly turned her attention to Neteyam, noticing how he stood quietly, avoiding her gaze, seemingly trying to calm himself.
âDid something happen?â Y/n asked softly, taking a careful step closer but keeping some distance between them.
Neteyam swallowed down the words that were forming like a lump in his throatâwords like: You shouldnât be accepting courtships when Iâm around. But he couldnât hold back the frustrated sigh that escaped his lips. âItâs nothing,â he replied simply and calmly. He would never burden her with his confusion or irritation. After all, it wasnât her fault she was so beautiful and skilled.
âNete, it doesnât seem like nothing,â Y/n said with a small laugh. The moment the nickname left her lips, Neteyamâs heart jumped wildly in his chest.
Still, he remained silent, his face beginning to flush as he stood there, choosing to focus on the view of Pandora. The sun was already starting to set, making way for the night.
âWell... Iâm sorry. I guess I shouldnât have meddledâŠâ Y/n said softly after receiving no response, her tone a little embarrassed. She had known Neteyam for years and had never wanted to be a burden to himâquite the opposite.
The Omaticaya girl had always had her eyes on the eldest Sully, the first son of Toruk Mak'to, even before they had built their friendship. Of course, her feelings werenât tied to his status as the son of a leader but rather to Neteyamâs gentle yet strong demeanor.
His sharp, observant eyes. His postureâone that had been largely shaped by Jake Sullyâs expectations, yet which Neteyam carried with a natural grace. His careful, steady way of speaking, free of judgment. And, most of all, the way he would laugh wholeheartedly whenever he had to save Loâak from his own troubles.
"I... I didnât mean to bother you, Neteyam. Sorry," Y/n said, clasping her hands together. Her ears lowered softly, and her tail stopped swaying slowly from side to side.
Before she could leave, though, the Omaticaya stopped her.
"No," Neteyam said quickly, finally meeting her eyes. He straightened himself, feeling the warmth on his face intensify, spreading to his ears, neck, and soon, he was sure, his chest. Taking an almost imperceptible deep breath, he added, "You're not a bother. You donât have to go if you donât want to." His voice was soft, and he moved closer to the edge of the tree, sitting down and letting his long legs dangle in the air. The last thing he wanted was for Y/n to think she was a nuisance.
The girl smiled slightly at his words, a bit of her earlier energy returning. Being near Neteyam was gratifying, and she loved it. She loved talking to him, feeling close to him in any way. With gentle steps, she moved to sit beside him, admiring the view.
"This is beautiful," Y/n said, her gaze fixed on the sceneryâthe setting sun casting its warm hues over Pandora.
Neteyam turned his eyes to her again, mesmerized by the golden light illuminating her face, enhancing her already stunning features.
"It really is," Neteyam replied calmly, though his gaze wasnât on the scenery but on Y/n.
As soon as she looked at him, he quickly averted his eyes, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Is Jake being hard on you with training, Nete?" Y/n tried to start a conversation. "Is that why you were so upset?"
"A little..." Neteyam replied, avoiding her gaze. He wasnât telling the full truth, but it wasnât entirely a lie either. Jake always seemed to expect more and more from him. "Iâm just a bit tired, thatâs all."
"No days off, huh?" Y/n chuckled softly through her nose. "Jake just wants you to be perfect, Nete. Youâre the leaderâs son, Toruk Makâtoâs son. There are a lot of expectations for you to meet."
"And that doesnât help me at all," the boy replied, eliciting laughter from the Omaticaya beside him. Neteyam allowed himself a small smile as he listened to her laugh, watching her face light up.
"The hunting ritual is coming up..." the girl pointed out, softly swinging her legs where they hung over the edge. "Maybe Jake will let you rest after that."
"Iâm not so sure about that."
A comfortable silence settled between them. Y/n turned her gaze back to the breathtaking scenery, but Neteyamâs eyes stayed fixed on her, admiring her quietly. He loved moments like thisâtalking to Y/n, sitting in silence with Y/n. Everything about it felt natural. Like it was meant to be.
"You... youâll have to make a big choice," Y/n began softly, her voice tinged with hesitation. She swallowed hard and took a deep breath.
Neteyam didnât entirely understand her words but chose to remain quiet. Deep down, he knew he could listen to Y/n talk for hoursâeven if, perhaps, he didnât fully grasp everything she said.
"Have you already chosen?" Y/n asked timidly, her eyes finally meeting his. Neteyam hadnât taken his gaze off her.
"Chosen?" Neteyam echoed, a little confused, snapping out of the dreamy state her presence always seemed to put him in.
"I mean... your mate, of course," Y/n clarified, her voice quieter now, tinged with embarrassment.
The truth was, Y/n was scared of his answer. If Neteyam said yes, if he already had someone in mind to share his life with, it would crush any hope she had. But even so, she needed to know.
"Mate?" Neteyam repeated, slightly stunned. Her gaze bore into him, making him straighten his posture. He swallowed hard under her careful observation of his sharp, strong features. "No... I-I havenât," he stammered, finally looking away. His ears twitched anxiously.
The truth was that Neteyamâs heart had already answered the question for himâloudly and undeniably. The moment Y/n mentioned "mate," his thoughts returned to the hunting ritual and the decision he would have to make afterward. And his mind landed firmly on Y/n.
Because it was her. It had always been her. Y/n was the one he wanted as his mate, the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, to share every moment with.
Neteyam grew nervous as he imagined Y/n waiting for him in their shared home, arms open, ready to embrace him, kiss him, and care for him just as he would care for her. And he would do it wellâhe was certain of that.
A small but happy smile flickered across Y/nâs lips upon hearing Neteyamâs response that he hadnât chosen a mate yet.
âHave you⊠noticed any, um, approaches?â Y/n asked softly, her voice almost a purr, knowing this was her chance and determined not to let it slip away. Not when Neteyam stirred her heart in ways no one else could. Not when she longed to hear his voice or feel close to him.
Of course, just like Y/n, Neteyam was a target of attention. The difference, however, was that Omaticaya girls werenât as aggressive in their advances toward him. Getting close to him without at least being friends with his siblings was no easy task. And even then, finding a moment to be near him during his rare free time was nearly impossible. Yet Y/n managed it every time.
If anyone hoped to be courted by Neteyam, they had to make their feelings and intentions clear due to his limited availability and the fact that he wasnât exactly the most expressive Naâvi. Y/n had tried to make her interest obvious around him, but the boy didnât seem to notice.
Eywa knows how many courting gifts Y/n had carefully declined, all the while hoping to receive one from a particular Naâviâthe eldest Sully. With the hunting ritual so close, perhaps it was finally time for her to be a bit more forward in showing her interest, though still delicately. She didnât want Neteyam to think poorly of herânot that he could, even if he tried.
âNo, I havenât noticed,â Neteyam replied truthfully to her question. The fact was, he rarely paid attention to anything outside of his parentsâ demands, Loâakâs troubles, his siblingsâ safety, and, of course, every move Y/n made.
âWell⊠plenty of girls would love to be courted by you,â Y/n said sweetly, letting out a soft laugh as she leaned ever so slightly toward him, her tail moving lightly along the ground. Neteyamâs ears twitched at her words, his gaze drawn to her once more. His own tail began to shift, unconsciously seeking hers.
But then, the scene from earlier crept into his mindâa boy standing close to Y/n, talking to her, laughing as if there were no tomorrow, clearly thrilled to be near her. The memory made Neteyamâs brows knit slightly together, and he found himself looking away from her.
âYeah. From what Iâve noticed, many are courting you,â Neteyam said, trying to manage the irritation bubbling up inside him. Heâd almost forgotten it, but now it had resurfaced. A new thought struck him, making him feel both nervous and uneasy. âYou⊠have you already chosen a mate?â he asked carefully, bringing his eyes back to her.
âNo,â she answered simply.
âNo? Why not? YouâŠâ He cleared his throat, fidgeting slightly. âYouâre an incredible girl. Iâve seen what you do for everyone in the clan. You tend to the injured, help prepare for rituals, assist mothers with their children⊠youâve even helped my mother.â Neteyamâs voice grew a little shaky, his ears flicking nervously, his tail moving restlessly behind him. He vividly remembered the day Loâak got himself into serious trouble, forcing him, Neytiri, and Jake to go and drag his brother back. In their absence, Y/n had kept Kiri and Tuk company, distracting them with her kindness and warmth.
Y/n smiled, realizing that Neteyam had noticed something about her. The boy steadied himself before speaking again.
âWhy havenât you chosen anyone?â Neteyam asked simply, his voice low, though his eyes stayed fixed on the girl beside him.
âIâm waitingâŠâ Y/n began in the same tone, looking deeply at him. ââŠfor someone to make me an offer.â
Neteyam averted his gaze, assuming Y/n was talking about a specific Omaticaya in the clan. His thoughts spiraled, imagining anyone but himself in her mindâsomething Y/n was trying to make obvious with her intent gaze and the subtle movements of her tail inching closer to his.
âWellâŠâ Neteyam said, trying to swallow the frustration brewing inside him over whichever lucky Naâvi had managed to catch Y/nâs eyes and heart. Maybe heâd challenge him to a duel if he found out. âIt shouldnât take long,â he said simply, still not looking at her, his earlier sour mood returning.
âIt could happen now,â Y/n suggested, tilting her head slightly, attempting to catch Neteyamâs gaze.
âNow?â Neteyam asked, looking around and confirming they were still alone. There wasnât another Omaticaya in sight that he could aim his fists at.
âYes, now,â Y/n replied, his attention now fully on her. She fluttered her eyelashes gracefully, hoping he would understand her meaning.
âHow ânowâ? Itâs just us here,â he muttered, confused, though his heart skipped a beat as he caught her beautiful lashes in motion, momentarily forgetting his impulse to pummel some imaginary rival.
Y/n sighed, realizing she needed to be more direct if she wanted him to understand what she meant.
âNeteâŠâ She swallowed hard, steeling herself for what felt like an immense challenge. She placed her hand gently over his, watching his eyes slowly widen as his ears perked up in surprise. ââŠI see you,â Y/n confessed intensely, her breath quickening as her heart raced uncontrollably.
Neteyam, on the other hand, was frozen in place. His wide eyes and dilated pupils were locked on the girl in front of him, his body entirely still as he processed her words.
âItâs true that I was waiting for something from you,â the girl began, embarrassed, avoiding his gaze. âBut... you donât have to feel pressured by me. I know youâll have other great options for a mate.â She let out a small, almost bitter laugh.
The Omaticaya boy snapped out of his stupor, blinking several times in quick succession, his pupils dilating greatly, his heart racing faster than ever before. As soon as Y/n pulled her hand from his, Neteyam quickly but gently grasped it, not wanting to startle her.
âY/n,â the boy called softly, still surprised by her words. She wanted to be courted by him.
Even though Neteyam was consumed with happiness, staring at her intensely, the words were stuck in his throat. He wanted to say âI see youâ like he had imagined so many times, but with his heart pounding and his shock overwhelming him, he could only open his lips several times, struggling to find the right words.
Y/n looked at him shyly, waiting for him to say something, while the boy still held her hand gently, preventing her from going anywhere. He traced her soft skin with his thumb, his gaze still locked on her, hoping she would understand him without words, because he certainly would stutter if he started to confess.
The girl looked down at their hands joined softly, gripping Neteyamâs hand firmly, but soon she lifted her gaze back to him, watching him swallow hard.
âDo you feel the same?â Y/n asked quietly, leaning in slightly, and the only thing Neteyam could do was nodâquickly, almost too fast, which made her smile even wider.
Even with his heart practically on fire, the boy swallowed hard and tightened his grip on the young woman beside him.
âY/n, I see you,â Neteyam said as if making a promise, though it was whispered, it was intense. It was clear that his chest was rising and falling quickly, with a brief flush of purple creeping up his face, his ears, slowly descending to his neck.
Y/n smiled wider, the same color beginning to tint her cheeks. With her beautiful smile, Neteyam returned a smaller one, still immersed in emotions. His skin was showing his anxiety and mild embarrassment, and his palm was starting to grow warmer than usual.
The boy pulled back slightly from the girl, still looking at her, her eyes locked on him with curiosity. Neteyam began to undo one of his bracelets, tightly fastened to his forearm, and once the accessory was removed, he looked at Y/n with expectation.
The girl let out a happy sound, lifting her left forearm to Neteyam, who, with slightly trembling fingers, began to fasten the bracelet onto her. Now, anyone who saw Y/n wearing the accessory would immediately know that she was promised to Neteyam, as the Omaticaya wore the matching pair on his right forearm.
"In the hunting ritual..." Neteyam began softly as he adjusted the bracelet on Y/n. "I will bring the largest animal I find for the clan. And after that, I will come to you and ask if you would choose me as your mate in front of everyone." He continued, his voice still quiet, a little embarrassed but happy, watching the bracelet settle perfectly on the girl. "This is my first courting gift. But please, don't worry, I will give you more gifts so you can adorn yourself with them until the ritual. And also, after it." The boy smiled at her, making the girl laugh too, filled with happiness.
"And I will make your adornments," Y/n replied, thinking of the accessories she had already made for Neteyam, but never had the courage to gift him. However, from now on, she saw no problem in doing so.
The Omaticaya boy smiled at her, gently bringing their foreheads together, and she responded without hesitation, closing her eyes in delight and happiness. Neteyam turned his gaze back to the landscape in front of them, feeling Y/n settle close to his body, resting her head between his neck and shoulder. He accepted her presence gladly, holding her close as they both silently admired the beautiful, dusk-lit landscape of Pandora, content in their mutual affection.
With Neteyam holding the girl firmly and gently beside him, his tail swayed slightly, finding hers, and they wasted no time in intertwining them, causing both to share small, happy laughs. And behind the couple, Atokirinasâthe seeds of the Tree of Lifeâfloated softly, undisturbed, as the young pair embraced in front of Pandora's giant moon.

I send so many requests hahahaa
Feel like it would be SO cute if youâre out in the forest and you find a thanator pup lost and abandoned but it clings on to so you adopt it. Then Neteyam is like how wtf??? But he lets you keep it despite his concerned reaction and it becomes your pet :,)
CUUUUUUTE!!! & i love every request you make pls donât stop sending them (i promise iâll get to every one even if iâm slow)
âcâmon âteyam!! letâs go!â you cry out to your boyfriend. his large four-fingered hand is clasped in your two tiny ones as you attempt to tug him forward.
heâs staring down at you with a playful annoyed look, not budging from his spot planted in the dirt.
âpleeeeeeaaaaase! i wanna go see them! we donât have to get close, i just wanna look! theyâre so cute!â your voice whines, which makes his ears flick from the sound.
neteyam grimaces from your squeaky voice and plants a large hand on top of your head, âokay, okay fine. just donât whine like that again.â he laughs with a shake of his head.
he turns his hand in yours to grasp your tiny fist tightly in his palm to lead you farther into the jungle, âcome on, ma yawntutsyĂŹp.â
the little nickname makes your heart warm in your chest. his little loved one.
âthank you! thank you! thank you!â you exclaim excitedly with the biggest grin on your face.
your tall blue boyfriend looks down at you in awe from your excitement. he smiles because he is the one that made you feel this wayâ he loves when youâre happy.
the tall naâvi boy bends down to your height, allowing you to hop on his back so he could climb the trees without you falling behind. he hops from branch to branch, which makes you squeal out in fear and also from the adrenaline. heâs just so quick, and knows exactly where to grab and plant his feet.
neteyam slows down as he nears a sunny clearing below. he sinks down to his stomach to crawl forward to the edge, his wide eyes darting around to examine the area. his new position lets you slide off of his back onto the branch next to him, to crawl forward and lean over the side too.
your eyes instantly spot a homemade nest in the shadows, big enough for a few thanators to rest in. âwhere are they?â your voice whispers out to him.
âpatienceâŠâ he breathes out quietly into the warm air, sending a cheeky smirk your way. you roll your eyes at him, which just makes him smirk more.
how must you be patient when youâve been waiting all season for this? through the mating season, and through the gestation period, and now finally the calfs are born!
you keep your eyes trained on the sunny patch of grass, looking around the perimeter of trees for the mother thanator; or even any sign of the babies.
you looooove babiesâ and when they come in cute forms, like little alien creatures from pandora, you somehow love them even more.
rustling to the side makes your eyes dart to the shadows as a large black cat-like figure emerges from the brush. itâs the mother, and sheâs dragging food back to her babies.
she drops the meat in the center of the field, before calling out to her babies with a rumbling, clicking noise.
sudden chirps grow louder as a dozen of baby thanators emerge from the nest. yipping, and growling as they feast on the meat of the animal their mother hunted.
neteyam watches you as your face brightens from the sight of the babies youâve been waiting so long for. you could do without the blood, and the guts, but itâs so fascinating to you.
as a human on a foreign planet, surrounded by the most fascinating flora and creatures, you feel in your element; you belong here.
one at a time, the babies retreat back into the safety of their nest to leave their mother with the leftovers. she quickly eats the rest of the carcass, before crawling into the next with her children. her large head sticks out to patrol the area with her eyes, protectively.
âoh my god, neteyam. thatâs so amazing.â you breathe out, almost breathless from the experience. he smiles at you from the side, his hand comes up to rub the top of your head.
sometimes he doesnât understand why you get so excited over the animals on pandora, but he knows itâs because you didnât grow up here like him.
âthe circle of life can be prrrretty fascinating.â he chuckles, and goes to stand up in the tree. he stays slightly crouched from the branches above his head. his attention is undivided now, only staring at you.
âwanna go back now?â he watches how your shoulders drop slightly, âwe can come backâ donât worry.â he adds with a chuckle.
âyeah, we can go.â you sigh in defeat, sliding behind his back to climb onto him, âwanna go find some of your favorite fruit?â neteyam offers as his hands wrap around your thighs, once they wrap around his waist.
he wants to get your mind off of the animals for a little bit, and he knows exactly where the tree is planted in the jungle, âooh yes!â you exclaim happily with a giant grin.
neteyam grins from your response and takes off in a sprint once heâs sure youâre secured on his back. he leaps between the giant trees, before leaping off of a branch to grab ahold of a vine.
you squeal loudly with barking laughter as it feels as if youâre free falling in the air, until his feet hit the ground. he lets you down easily by swinging you off his back with one hand strongly grasping your behind.
a flush settles on your chest, and heat rises in your chest from his hand on your ass. it isnât uncommon for him to grab your body, but it always makes you flustered every single time.
neteyam canât help but swoop down to peck your lips, before standing back up to his full height. his hands grasps yours to lead you through the vegetation. he bends underneath fallen logs while you can continue to stand up straight from your height. it humors you how tall your boyfriend is.
your eyes almost sparkle as you spot the brightly colored tree covered in round pink fruits. the colors are almost flourescent from the sunset growing nearer.
before you could even reach the tree, something to your side rustles in the brush. you and neteyam halt in your spot to try and find where the noise came from.
your body jolts when a soft cry echoes from the bush, and neteyam instinctively slides in front of you for protection.
before you could even try to leave, a small body tumbles from the bush and waddles up to neteyamâs feet.
âwhat is it?!! what is it?!â you hide your face in his back, covering your face with your hands.
neteyam almost laughs at how ironic this is, âa thanator⊠a baby.â he coos as he bends down to its level, but the baby lets out a menancing hiss.
âwoah, woah.â neteyam backs up slightly, pushing you farther behind him. if the baby would charge at you both, he wouldnât hesitate to drop kick it into the jungle for your own safety.
âa what?!â you shriek, and push him out of the way to look in front of him. you barely push him though, he honestly just moves out of the way for you.
once you see the sleek black skin of the thanator baby, you instantaneously drop to your knees in front of it. âhi! oh my gosh youâre so cute!â you softly squeal at it.
the baby cowers back toward the bush, itâs little legs shake as it hisses weakly at you. âdonât worry, buddy. i promise iâm not mean. are you hurt?â you ask if it would actually answer you.
neteyam really doesnât understand how you think the babies are cute, he actually finds them quite terrifying and kind of ugly.
the baby whines as itâs eyes worriedly dart between you and the naâvi boy behind you, ââteyam, back up!â you hush at him through your teeth.
your boyfriend feels overly protective over you right now, but he obliges and takes a step back. you intently watch how the animal takes a hesitant step toward you, itâs body still trembling in fear.
âitâs okay.â your soft tone soothes the child as it draws closer to you.
neteyamâs hand rests on the handle of his blade, ready to step forward at any given moment if the thing attacks you. his brain clouds with confusion as the predator climbs into your lap and curls up into a ball.
his hand drops from his sheathed knife as his eyes take in what just happened. your small hand gently carressss the top of the babyâs head as it lays in the crook of your legs.
âare you serious?â he mumbles out in shock, but still smiles at the scene in front of him.
âi canât believe this is happening right now.â you breathe out shakily and look up at neteyam towering over you.
âi cannot explain how confused i am.â he replies, his big round eyes are somehow even wider as he gawks.
a crack of thunder in the sky makes the baby shake even harder, and whine quietly under its heavy breathing. âwe have to take it back with us.â
âare you crazy? we canât do that.â neteyam shakes his head in disagreement. thereâs no way his parents would allow him to bring such a predator into the village. he would be lectured for who knows how long.
âwell, we canât just leave it out here by itself!â you retaliate with a stern voice. you know, that you would never be able to live with yourself if you left this poor animal to fend for itself.
âitâs almost as big as you, my love. how will you take care of it?â he points out, which is very true.
âi have to. i wonât be able to live with my decision to leave her out here in the storm by herselfâŠâ you trail off as you scratch behind her ears. the animal purrs in your lap, making you grin.
âokay, fine. come on. we gotta get back to camp before the storm hits us.â neteyam sighs as he watches you stand up with the heavy creature in your arms. he can tell youâre struggling a bit, but you still have the biggest smile on your face.
âyou alright?â he asks with a little chuckle, and eyes you suspiciously, âyes, iâm good! letâs go!â you chirp and start walking past him, but he stays in his spot and keeps an eye on you.
âmy ikran is this way.â neteyam points the opposite way youâre walking, and your cheeks burn with embarrassment. you donât know what would happen to you if you didnât have him to be your personal GPS.
âletâs go.â you march past him, with a roar coming from the baby thanator.
neteyam watches you confidently walk forward with a little chuckle, shaking his head at you. he watches your tiny body walk farther away from him, letting his eyes wander over your backside.
he canât understand how or why the baby thanator attached itself to you, a human, instead of a naâvi. heâs not even sure if a thanator would trust one of his people.
youâve opened his eyes to entire new world, his own world. he doesnât understand how you work, but all he knows is that youâre his.
this little human is all his, and somehow you seem as if youâre even more connected to his world than him; and he loves you even more for it.

It started with subtle glances, correction, it always started with subtle glances. Impressively it hadnât gotten much farther than that, but that didnât mean he didnât want it too.
Out at a large celebratory festival thrown by the entire village as a sort of remembrance of the great war is when he saw you. Of course, he and his family were the center of attention, being deemed some branch of royalty, and yet you were in his view all night.
His attention span wasnât as good as he thought it was, or as well as his father had trained it to be, especially when it came to something he liked. Well, he wasnât sure if he liked you, he hadnât known you, not a name, a voice, or a touch, just a face, hair, skin, and your body.
Whatever it was you had him looking at you constantly, it was something he could do all the time without getting bored. Unexpectedly thatâs nearly what he did all night if it wasnât for his siblings and parents driving him elsewhere.
He watched as you interacted with your friends, or maybe they were family, he wouldnât know. He watched the way you smiled and nodded as you listened to the conversation of others, oddly enough your smile was enough to make him smile as well.
His favorite was watching the way your chest heaved, and throat rumbled a bit before youâd laugh, quickly placing a hand in front of your mouth as you did so. Thankfully for him he was watching from the side, so he could still see your mouth as you laughed.
Or maybe the way you moved so fluently from one table to another to acquire more food and drinks for the others. The way youâd move to the sounds of the music, or how heâd read your lips to know you were slightly singing along.
Neteyam is a man of many things, an observer at largest. Itâs one of the skills his father taught him that heâs always favorited. âAlways check your surroundings when you enter a new crowdâ, and somehow after taking in his fatherâs advice heâd always attempt to look for you.
In gathering parties after hunting cycles, visitors who would come to his familyâs kelku or even his own, even while he trained the younger warriors as their general. Even if you managed to be somewhere off afar, he would be quick to catch your eye, youâd always stand for a second before waving him a quick hello before moving along.
That was enough to change his routine as embarrassing as it sounds. Like taking a completely different route to get out in the morning or get to base camp and train warriors earlier than anticipated on certain days of the week because youâd be in the forest across from the gentlemen.
He knew better than to approach you so suddenly, well not suddenly, itâs been weeks since he had first seen you. He wasnât sure how he could form a simple conversation without fucking himself over.
It isnât easy to start a small conversation and ask for the name of someone who youâve been infatuated with for a while now. He would always just brush it off and try to surround himself with working or training to occupy his time.
Until of course his parents were sure to sit him down and now seriously talk to him about his future and their future heirs. The fact you continuously rotted his mind as his parents spoke to the point where his breathing was ragged was enough to say. His parents understood well enough there was someone who their eldest had an eye on, they just didnât know if their son was ready for it.
Oh, he was more than ready for it, ready for you. If it wasnât embarrassing enough, he prayed to Ewya several times throughout the day just to get closer with you, maybe bump into one another or brush against one another. Just to hear you laugh again or see what style youâve done differently with your hair, and thankfully it seems she answered.
As Neteyam stayed late tidying up after the warriors he was training you waved off your friends, a basket clung to your side filled with fruits. His eyes never left your figure, narrowing them as he watched your movements as you spun around and listening to your words as you mentioned something that had given him interest.
âI can do next week's batch myself! Thank you, guys.â
Oh? That seemed like the perfect opportunity for him, at least to get past a hand wave each week. He smiled to himself softly as he began to think of what he would plan for then until he heard your friends reply back to you. They all yelled their goodbyes and your name following after, ringing in his ears like the roar of a palulukan.
âY/nâ he whispered to himself softly before chewing on his bottom lip. He hadnât wasted any time in collecting his other belongings and making his way back to his kelku.
He had officially made up his mind on what he wanted to do, and how he would work his way up to you. He just needed to wait until morning and get as much sleep as possible.
-ËË àŒ»ââżâàŒș ËË-
Neteyam was too clever for his own good, nodding too himself at a job well done before shoving the items he had taken back into his families kelku. Surprisingly enough he waited the whole week to remove the fruits on the lower branches, and leaving those only he could reach.
This was a new low, even for him, heâd never done something like this before especially not for a woman. Like everyone loves to say, thereâs a first time for everything of course.
So of course, he waited and waited for you to arrive, keeping his warriors in training as he tightened the bindings by his waist before making his way over to you.
âDo you need assistance?â He asked, his voice calm but firm, looking down at you. You perked your head to the side slightly your eyes not leaving the fruits hung up from above you. He watched your arm reach back up again before lowering it slowly and fixing your eyes on him.
He took in your figure for a moment, watching as your hair now laid on top of your shoulders and collarbones now as you fully faced him. He also took in your scent, it was sweet and so captivating, if he wasnât any stronger, he wouldâve lost his mind over it, over you.
âYes please, if you arenât too busyâ you said softly, nodding slightly and thanking him, taking a step back to give him enough space. He could never be too busy for you, never, even if he wasnât he wouldâve left whatever it was if he could just see you, let alone help.
He wasted no time in reaching his arm over, plucking a handful of fruits from each branch in front of the two of you. His hands were large, you took that into account, palming nearly 6 of the fruits in just one hand with a steady grip so they wouldnât fall. Yet again he was gentle with them to the point where they wouldnât burst or ooze out.
As you held out your basket for him to place the fruits in with others that were already inside you could hear his breath falter slightly. Your attention was focused upon his face, scanning it for something, whatever it was he hadnât liked it, it made him uncomfortable. His gaze quickly diverted from yours, looking back at his warriors in training now on a âwater-breakâ before clearing his throat and speaking up.
âItâs nice to finally meet you properly, my name is Neteyam.â He spoke softly, turning his gaze back to you and motioning the âI see youâ gesture, as you did the same to him. He was whipped, his pupils widening slightly as he watched you in awe. Honestly if he hadnât known any better, he wouldâve assumed his jaw was open as he listened to your voice.
The way you nodded and smiled at him, not hiding it. Or maybe the way you greeted him and thanked him for his help, introducing yourself lines after. He liked the way you said your name, pronounced it in your thick accent, or how your lips pursed together when you said it. How it sounded differently coming from yourself than your friends from last week. He loved how you said his name, especially so fluently, so full of curiosity and care, or how your lips touched at the last letter of his name.
Maybe he does like you, just a little, remember he still doesnât know you, or at least not as well as he wanted too, no matter how bad he wanted to change that. All he could do was watch you walk away from him yet again, a full conversation not even brewing between the two of you and it was killing him. Watching you wave your goodbyes to him, watching the way the small woven basket clung to your side like a newborn child, or even how you made walking look easy, different almost, in your own way.
He could only stand and close his eyes, bawling his fists for mere seconds to bask in your scent again, envisioning you again, you smile, your lips, your eyes, your everything. A snarl was practically ready to rip out from his chest, he was so close and yet so far. Temptation is such an evil thing, almost like a parasite eating at its host, but with Neteyam it seemed as if he loved the thrill that would come from it. Being nervous around you, going out of his way just to see you, or help you in any way he can, heâs not being weird or anything, just friendly.
Right
Friendly
Heâs being friendly because heâs a nice kindhearted man, doing his duty looking out for the people in his clan.
So why was it so different with you? What made you so different? Everything made you different, like how you bring a heat to his face or chest, this isnât normal in the slightest. He thought to himself how he interacts with other friends his age or how they make him feel, and it was nothing like this, and honestly, he wasnât appalled, just drawn in further.
-ËË àŒ»ââżâàŒș ËË-
Itâs nothing but curiosity, he had questions and what better way than to answer them himself. He knows he has issues, like not liking to ask others for help, but he didnât need it, he already knew so much about you from just watching you closely over the next few weeks.
What flowers you liked and how you liked them sorted, your favorite fruit being the same one he helped you pick, how many members of your family there were, and surprising enough you are the middle child. He was proud of himself, practically swallowing down the shame and guilt he had for following you around, he used his skills for great use, and it was only for a short period of time.
Now things have gotten even better, as your father had gone directly towards the leader of your people, Neteyamâs father for help on your behavior. Something new to get your energy out of, the stress and pressure of personal things were getting to you, and he was sure archery would be of great help.
Either that or sparring, and it seemed safer to spar, as he couldnât dream of the casualty if you were to strike someone with an arrow. Whether you liked it or not you had no other choice to comply, but when you found out that Neteyam would be fitting you into his tight schedule and be your personal trainer things seemed to be a little better.
You were a very picky woman, but honestly you couldnât hate or push past him, he seemed sweet and gentle, plus very handsome. Youâd be completely stupid to send away a man like him, that you knew, and you were anything other than dumb, so youâd stick by him.
Like as of right now, being your first day of sparring with Neteyam. The two of you circling each other slightly, a small bruise on your arm as there was a much larger one underneath Neteyamâs left eye. Apparently, his job was to fish out whatever emotions he could out of you, and honestly it was working.
Of course, it was working because the way you attacked him was uncalled for, you were a fighter unlike one heâd seen before. You donât fight with grace or precision; you fight with everything you have. As if your life is at stake and youâre struggling to stay alive, fighting however you can and using your surroundings. You fought against him as if he was genuinely inflicting harm onto you, as if it was kill or be killed in a simple sparring.
The several times he caught up to your tactics he only pinned your arms behind your back momentarily. His broad and heavy chest pressed against your broad back, both of your breathing patterns seeming to align with one another, heavy and rough. His breath fanning your skin by your neck, making you jolt slightly and kick his leg with force, knocking him back.
Is fighting supposed to have this much tension in it? It didnât make any sense; this hadnât made any sense. This was much more difficult than you anticipated, and worst of all Neteyam enjoyed every second of it. The touching, glances, subtle smirks or victorious expressions youâd give off.
He was doing it on purpose, between the two of you he was and would always be the better fighter, he was just letting you win. In his eyes you deserved it, you deserve anything he can provide for you, and so thatâs exactly what heâd do.
He laid on the sandy floors beneath the two of you, sighing to himself heavily before propping himself up on his elbows. You turned around swiftly to take in his state, then looking back at yourself before offering him a hand. He happily took it and bounced back to his feet, announcing this would be the last fight between the two of you for the evening as the sun began to fade and colors filled the sky.
Well, that was a few minutes ago, as of now you were sure how or when this happened. Or maybe you made a wrong move to fuck yourself over, but this wasnât expected at all. You laid back flat against the sandy floors now, Neteyam atop you, his forearm pressed against your collarbone as he used his hand to press down on your shoulder.
He was firm yet gentle, like he always had been, always had been with you. Itâs not that you couldnât move, you could, you just refused too. You refused to go anywhere or ruin this moment; with the way he was looking into your eyes or the way his seemed blown out you couldnât help but look at him in awe.
The colors of the sky were now fully in effect as the dim sunlight shined brighter than ever, the hues mixing into his blue skin and eyes. Your eyes seemed to be moving at speed beyond explanation as you wanted to take in such a sight.
It hadnât seemed like he wanted to move either, but unfortunately, he was quick to move off of you, apologizing. This time he was the one to offer you a hand to help you up, which you took and stood up, dusting yourself off. You also took this time to dust off your face if there was any dirt there before looking up at him.
His eyes were already fixated on you, correction, they never left you. You made your way around him slightly before squinting, as the sunlight was now directly on you and your face. It was hard to see with the nearly blinding light, but you could still feel his eyes on you. You only turned around, you're back now facing him as you packed your belongings before thanking him before getting ready to leave, and to which he wasted no time in stopping you.
âWill I see you tomorrow morning? After we return from our morning hunt?â He asked, his voice laced with anxiety and eagerness. Eager for you to say yes, hungry almost, and to see you nodding in agreement only sent a large smile plastered onto his face. The two of you saying your goodbyes and leaving your spot before seeing your families again.
The way you clouded Neteyamâs mind was intoxicating and sickening. He would trip over his own feet and tail if he hadnât had a strong heart and mind. He finally had you exactly where he wanted you after so long and he was nonetheless happier than ever. He was happy that you finally saw him, saw how he saw you. Or at least he was content that you were able to see yourself through his eyes without having to share a word.
Oh, how he wishes he could come home to you every night instead of just the thought of you, his short, fixated imagination of you sprawled against his bed. Maybe even you waltzing around his kelku with that sly little walk you do, the one that makes him keep his eyes on your hips and thighs.
He wishes most of all in this very moment for you to be with him now, at the very back of his kelku, out of sight and out of mind. In his large cut off of water from the main rivers supply just to his satisfaction to clean off, the two of your bodies entangled with one another like how they had been earlier.
That would be perfect to him, feeling your hand graze down against his chest to his torso again. Or listen to you say his name over and over, and even the way youâd adjust your loincloth and top after every other fight. The sounds youâd make whenever heâd pin your arms, or how you groaned when he had you pinned to the ground beneath the two of you.
This is dirty, and wrong, so wrong, and something so wrong shouldnât feel so good. Sadly, it did, and he just couldnât help it or stop himself from going on, it was too much pressure to let build up. Neteyam could practically envision you in front of him, he traced his hands around his body the same way you had, picturing you with your small smile and scent talking to him.
He couldnât stop himself he truly couldnât, nothing could rip away this blissful moment from him. A moment so lustful and sacred and yet so beautiful and gentle to him was meant to be cherished and shared with you, and yet he still didnât fully have you, he couldnât have you.
The flicks of you replaying over and over in his mind as he quickened his pace down his body, his tip now leaning pre-cum as he continued, faster now. His breathing was heavier, and he felt more focused and intense than before, his non dominant hand gripping at the sides of his bath beside him as he went on.
Unexpectedly sooner than later, his climax came, much more intense than any other heâd had prior with any other woman heâd been with. This was raw and passionate, let alone the fact he was much more vocal than ever, mumbling your name over and over. Even though he bit down on his bottom lip to the point where blood was drawn, he couldnât help his loud sounds as he reached his peak.
He was breathing like a man who hadnât breathed fresh air in years. His chest heaving as he threw his head back with a sigh of relief, the hand gripping his sides of his bath now running through his messy wet braids. Cursing softly under his breath as he cleaned himself off with a slight smile on his face.
Desire is so dangerous.
-ËË àŒ»ââżâàŒș ËË-
Yearning is a strange feeling, at least towards Neteyam. He was so quick and easy to pick out what he liked and didnât like. Like the other women in the village, he had âmetâ with. Itâs not that anything was wrong with them, but when it came to actually listening to their morals or finding out theyâd only gotten close to him because of his title and physical attributes he was quicker to leave them then pleasure them.
To Neteyam the first thing that caught his attention from you was being able to hear your voice almost instantly in such a loud and unique crowd. It was fascinating to say the least, like how he had sat alongside the ocean back when his family seeked refuge from the metkayina clan. The oceans crashing waves being so loud and deafening yet so soothing like nothing heâd experienced before until hearing your voice, then seeing you.
This was supposed to be your second week of training with another, transitioning towards a third. The more the two of you would spar, with or without weapons, he was sure to go easy on you at times. He was sure to give you distance, as he felt it wasnât right you werenât given much of it the first time.
But whatever gap that lasted between the two of you was quickly sealed by you. You didnât like the distance between you too, you didnât like his quietness. You wanted to see him how you had prior; you wanted him close to you and you wanted his skin to brush against yours.
Maybe it was just between the heat of battle from the two of you, but it was enjoyable. You enjoyed spending so much time of your day alongside Neteyam, not worried if you were to be bruised or laid out on the floor time and time again.
It pushed you to arrive earlier than expected towards your training with one another, to which you clutched your woven bag in one hand. You laid it out on the rocks beside you as you watched Neteyam, his back facing you as you listened to a repetition of a scraping sound.
âYouâre very early today y/n.â He spoke smoothly, not stopping his motion of sharpening one of the countless blades scattered in front of him. His ears picked up on your footsteps through the forest long before his nose picked up on your scent, bringing a wide smile to his face.
âIâm sorry, I had nothing to do with my extra time, I didnât know you would be busy. Ohe tsun zaâu neâim mawkrr.â [I can come back later] You stated, only earning a disapproving head shake from Neteyam who stopped his movements and placed a blade off to the side. He raised that same hand to motion for you to take a seat next to him, and you did just that.
The distance between the two of you seemed so far apart, even aside the fact you were seated perfectly next to each other. Legs crossed and your knees brushing against one another with each action Neteyam made as he sharpened the next blade, you only watched him.
Whenever you saw him or was as close as you are now with him his eyes were always fixated on you. His entire body was fixated on your figure, following your every move. Now it felt different watching him put that energy into something else, it made you curious exactly what it was for.
His scent was stronger than usual, making you inhale the air around you stronger than you had before. He smelled like the strong trees of your people and the soft moss around your home, or how free the air smelled before a storm, it was soothing.
It was also soothing to watch how he worked; you could tell he was doing this for a while, the objects leaving harsh red indents on his hands and arms. Or how he was sweating and because of that his hair on his hairline was stuck to his forehead, with the rest of his braids tied back into a loose bun.
All except one strand, obviously blocking his vision, and it bothered you just as much as it mustâve been bothering him. So, you helped him, you simply reached out to his face slightly and brushed the braid behind his ear, watching as his ear twitched in response. His eyes darted over to yours for only a split second before he chewed on his bottom lip and diverted his gaze back to his work.
âJust look at me like that one more time, pleaseâ you thought to yourself. Whatever you could do to help quicken the process of whatever he was doing youâd do just that. You wanted this to be over with, for you to have his full attention, you missed it.
âThank you.â Was all he said, now hunching over slightly and continuing his work at a quicker pace now. You only nodded and hummed in response, your own way of saying youâre welcome. Your attention now turned to the bowl of cut fruits to the side of the two of you and the blades as small flies began to fly around it.
They mustâve been attracted to its scent and appeal. Sweet and soft, as you were in Neteyamâs eyes. The fruits mustâve been his, he just hadnât had time to eat them, and it seemed now the pests were ready to do the job for him.
âTheyâll eat your fruits if you arenât quick enoughâ you joked. Smiling as you continued to swat them away and bring the bowl to your lap as you earned a small chuckle from him. Your gaze fixated on his face before back to the pests that now found their retreat and flew away.
âMy hands are too dirty to feed myself. If I were to eat them all of these blades would be dirty and sticky.â He said with a hum, his hands running over the blade he just sharpened before placing it to the side, grabbing one of the last few from the large basket to his side.
âI can feed it to you.â You replied almost immediately, desperately, your face buzzing with excitement as your tail began to swing from behind you against the sand. Neteyam now turned his head to you, eyes fixated on your face, then your figure and pausing when he saw the bowl in your lap.
A familiar heat crept up to his face and chest, making his fingers clamp down against the blade he was holding and look away for a moment. He wasnât sure what was worse, the fact you seemed so eager to do this for him, or how you hadnât even known how intimate something like that was.
Surprisingly enough you hadnât even waited for his answer, already picking a large piece from the bowl into your fingers and bringing them to his face. He only turned his head back to his work, as if rejecting the offer and sniffling, working much faster now.
You hadnât taken that as an answer however, now moving the blades that were in front of the two of you off to the side to sit directly in front of Neteyam. Placing the fruit up to his lips and watching them intently, a smile grew to yours as he took the fruit into his mouth.
He chewed softly as he continued, you only watched him, the way his jaw tightened with each bite he dug into the fruit. Now you were fixated on his throat, how he swallowed, or how his abs flexed when he hunched over again, tossing the sharpened blade behind you.
You continue to feed him, piece after piece, he was gentle. Careful to not let his lips touch your fingertips, but thatâs not what you wanted, you wanted to be closer, to be intimate. Maybe if you moved your fingers closer, youâd feel his lips.
It made you curious as to certain things like how they felt, if they were as soft as they looked. Or how they tasted, if they were as sweet as the fruit he was eating now. You were flushed but it didnât matter, it was too late to go back now you just couldnât help yourself.
It seemed your body was moving without your mind controlling it because without a second thought of feeding him the last piece of fruit you licked your own fingertips. What was even worse was the fact you made sure to do it as he had his eyes fixated on you, you did it on purpose to this attention.
The same way you purposely took the tools from his hands and tossed them aside, now sitting up on your knees and straddling yourself into his lap. You hoisted yourself up and rested your arms on his shoulders, interlocking your fingers behind his back before kissing him.
And of course, with your quick actions Neteyam hadnât wasted a single second kissing you back, practically eating you alive. He was eager, hot, starving, and so desperate for you, so desperate for more. This is more than a dream come true, itâs like a blessing from above for him, and he didnât want this moment to stop.
He could see it in your eyes what you were planning to do since you were feeding him, how you caught onto his body language. He was observing you, eating along with him, brushing your fingertips against his lips, watching as he paused to fix his loincloth before he continued his work again.
He saw the look in your eyes, a familiar one, because it was a look he had constantly given you, a look of yearning, starvation, and curiosity. Now you were kissing him, straddling him, and he just couldnât help but dive deeper into you, your tongues practically fighting one another. You folded quickly under the pressure, your knees sinking as you melted into him, now attempting to pull back to catch your breath.
You moaned into him, and he felt your hands now pushing against his chest, but that didnât mean he wanted to stop. He only grabbed ahold of your hands and continued, not caring to stop for air. Heâd rather die than end this moment between the two of you, this blessed moment. Your lips hadnât separated from his, your lips practically stuck together, you tasted so sweet, sweeter than the fruits the two of you were eating together.
Your mouth was hot and wet, it was welcoming, practically telling him to come in and make himself welcome, and he did so. After a few seconds he pulled away from the kiss slightly, your faces not even centimeters apart as you began to breathe heavy.
He watched your chest heave, placing a hand over it and feeling your heartbeat. It was fast, and strong, he only closed his eyes and focused on it, pining his ears to the sides of his head. He smiled to himself softly when you did the same, your smaller hand resting against his chest. He looked up at you, losing his thought in your eyes that only pulled him in deeper.
The two of you sat in the position for a while, lips brushing against one another but never being able to kiss as before. All until you pulled away, hearing footsteps make their way towards the two of you, Neteyam kept his hand in yours even after you stood up to cause distance between the two of you. You were startled to see the person making their way towards you was his sister, you jolted and pulled your hand back from him before she came over to the two of you.
She greeted you, and as she did Neteyam had stood up now, adjusting his loincloth from his obvious issue of earlier, a small wet spot on the side of it from you, now turning around to see his sister. The two greeted each other as you grabbed your bag, running your hands through your hair and placing a hand over your mouth, getting the image of earlier out of your head.
âMom and Dad want to talk to you itâs urgent.â She stated, bumping her brothersâ shoulder before looking up at him. She followed his trail of vision to you, who had been waving bye to the two of them with a small smile.
She waved back as she watched her brother wave back with a large smile on his face, immediately catching on to his reactions. She only shook her head and sighed before taking her brothers hand to follow her in the opposite direction.
âGood luck with that, hopefully you can tell her before you meet the woman mom and dad have waiting for you tomorrow morning.â
What?

As soon as you're pulled out of your cryo-pod, you're greeted by a nurse signing to you.
"We're here." He signs and you sigh.
"Thank you." You sign back and he helps you out of your pod and you float over to your locker. You sadly set a hand on Tommy's locker since it was right next to yours, and you open your locker grabbing your things. Your eyes are caught by someone coming over and opening Tommy's locker and you have to do a double-take. He looked exactly like Tommy, but his legs had no muscle mass. This must be Jake. You sigh again, close your locker, and push off to get where you need to go.
Later after your shuttle landed you sit there watching what the interpreter is saying from the Colonel. You were bored, but you knew that this place wasn't a cakewalk. You were invaders so you knew the indigenous wouldn't be particularly accepting of humans.
But you were one of the lucky few who didn't have to be stationed at Hell's Gate. You were lucky enough to be stationed further away in the forest close to the ocean. You were a marine zoologist, and you couldn't pass up the opportunity to beable to come here and be out there.
The moment the interpreter signed to you that the safety briefing was over your bag was in your hand and you were out of the mess hall. Basically jogging over to the link room to meet THE Grace Augustine. A man greeted you when you entered the link room.
"Hello, I'm Max. I'll be helping you connect to your avatar tomorrow, and then you'll be sent to your station afterwards." Max signs to you and you smile excitedly.
"I'm so excited, I'm sure you understand just how excited I am." You sign to him and based off of the exhale of breathing and the movement of his shoulders he chuckled.
"I get it. I really do, but as beautiful as this planet can be it can be very dangerous. Just keep that in mind." Max signs and leads you over to a link pod. "Any minute now, Grace Augustine is going to be coming out of this pod. But I'll have you standing with us in the center of the room so that you don't crowd her when she first comes out." You nod along and move with him over to the center of the room and look at all of their monitors in awe. After a moment her link pod opens and she walks over to meet two men. Both of which you know will be joining the avatar program. Norm takes notice of you and waves.
"Hey (Y/n). I didn't see you in the mess hall." Norm signs and wave off his words.
"I sat in the back with my interpreter. I'm just ready to be at my station." You sign to him and he smiles and nods. Grace looks at you and smiles.
"You must be (Y/n). I'm excited to beable to read your reports. From your grades and your simulation hours, I can tell that you will be an amazing addition to the avatar program." Grace signs and you smile bashfully.
"I'm just ready to be at my workstation and learn everything I can about the marine life here." You sign to her and she smiles.
"Be here bright and early and be ready, because this is going to be an experience." Grace signs to you and you give her two excited thumbs up and grab your bag to go to your temporary bunk. As you pass the lab the blue glow catches your eye and you go inside. The first avatar is Tommy's, the next is Norm's avatar... Then yours. You smile wide and go over to yours and watch her twitch occasionally.
The teal blue of her skin contrasts with Norm and Tommy's avatars, and her hair is a different consistency. Longer, thicker, and softer looking and you already start thinking of the different ways you could style her hair so it doesn't get in your eyes. Her wide limbs were there to make gliding through the water much easier, and her thicker tail for better propulsion. You leave the lab feeling way too excited for tomorrow.
The next morning you were up early and dressed ready to go. You leave your temporary bunk to go grab breakfast and after you finish eating you're in the link room.
Max greets you and leads you over to a link pod. You calibrate it and take a deep breath as you sit down in it and lie down. Max puts everything in place and you reach up and pull down the lid. A moment later your eyes close and you wake up slowly, but something is off.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Your brows furrow in confusion and suddenly they're above you shining a bright light in your eyes.
"Pupilary reflex is good." The woman says and your eyes blow wide. The man notices and snaps in your ears and you flinch at the noise.
"(Y/n) can you hear us?" The man asks and through your shock, you start reading their lips to associate words with the way they sound, you manage to nod.
"I can hear..." You sign to them and they both smile widely. Approximately 5 minutes later you're sat up on the bed when Norm's avatar stirs and your ears perk toward the noise of his shuffling. When he sits up he looks over at you and smiles.
"This is awesome." Norm signs and you nod.
"I can hear." You sign to him and his face drops in shock.
"Really?" Norm asks outloud and you nod.
"Now I just need to learn to speak." You sign to him and he waves a hand.
"You're smart. It's easy to talk, you'll get it in no time." Norm says and you giggle, but your eyes widened after you did.
"That's what my laugh sounds like?" You sign and Norm nods.
"Yeah. Tommy and I always thought it was cute." Norm says with a chuckle. Your conversation ended abruptly when To-Jake started to stir and you watched with curiosity. After only being linked to his avatar body for a few moments he starts to get up and your eyes go wide as you watch him detach all the IV's and monitoring equipment and run out of the airlock. Norm follows behind Jake, but you remain seated with a raised brow.
The two scientists close the airlock when they return from trying to keep up with Jake and they return to you.
"Alright (Y/n). Let's get you up and ready." The woman says and the man takes that as his cue to leave. She pushes a cart over to you and you gladly get dressed and ready to go and soon enough you're out of the airlock too. You're met by an older ocean avatar and he smiles at you.
"(Y/n), I'm so excited to get to know you." He signs happily.
"I'm excited too! But I wanted to let you know I can hear you... I can hear everything." You sign to him and his eyes go wide and he smiles.
"Even better. I'll teach you to speak Na'vi first." He says with a laugh. "Come on let's get you used to these legs." He says as he leads you off to an obstacle course.
The next day you step off the Samson with your mentor and you look around you in awe. The ocean a few miles away was a beautiful blue, the sand a pure light tan nearly white, and the grass around you was green. You smile brightly at the scene around you, but your admiring is cut short by a hand waving in your face.
"Sorry... Forgot you were in your human body and not your avatar." Your mentor signed and he had a sheepish look on his face.
"I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention... It so much more beautiful than I thought it would be." You sign to him and he smiles and nods.
"And to think.... At one point Earth looked like this." Your mentor signed as he looked out over the scenery sadly. "Anyway... Let's get you set up." He signs as he leads you into the mobile units. Three small portable buildings clustered together and when you walked in there was only one other scientist there. She jumped up quickly and waved excitedly.
"Hello! I'm Kira a marine biologist." Kira signs excitedly.
"Hello, Kira. I'm (Y/n) and I can't wait to get started." You sign to her and she nods.
"You'll love it here, trust me. I never want to leave." Kira signs and as quickly as she appeared to you she disappears into the buildings.
As you settled into your new surroundings and got used to the schedule for studying, Kira and your mentor, Steve, taught you to speak Na'vi. You picked up on it so fast that soon enough you were having full conversations with them fluently.
Currently, however, you are enjoying some free time. The sounds of the waves crashing on the shore and the animals in the nearby forest were relaxing. You took a deep breath and got up from your seated position on the sand. You waded into the water and dove in being careful of the possible dangers within.
Even under the water, you could hear everything. The chitter of the animals under the water, the flowing of the water, and the sound of rocks shifting with the tides. Everyday you became more enraptured with the world around you, and you started to dread when your 6 years were up. You couldn't stand the thought of leaving such a beautiful lively planet to return to one filled with so much ugly. The tall buildings you once thought were beautiful and strong, now seemed disgusting in your memories compared to what you were seeing everyday now.
In your deep state of thinking you didn't notice a Tsurak, or Skimwings, as humans call them, swimming toward you. You turned startled slightly when you felt something nudge your back. You came face-to-face with the Tsurak and you felt your blood run cold. When claimed by a rider they don't attack Na'vi unless prompted to, but this one didn't have a saddle. You freeze in place waiting for it to make its move, but it never moves to attack you. It only nuzzles the end of its nose into your stomach, so you bring your hands up to pet its muzzle. It starts pushing you back to shore and you have to suppress the giggles since it was tickling you. You finally stood up when you reached an area where you were still in the ocean up to your waist.
"(Y/n)!" Steve calls out as he comes out of the mobile unit. You turn to look at him and your new Tsurak friend floats up to the surface of the water.
"Yes, Steve?" You ask him in Na'vi and he freezes after taking a step when he sees the Tsurak.
"(Y/n)... very slowly walk out of the water." Steve says and you chuckle and shake your head.
"Steve this is my new friend." You tell Steve with a smile and pet the Tsurak's head.
"Okay..." Steve says slowly. "I got a status update from Max... They're attacking the Omatikaya Hometree today." Steve says sadly and your expression drops as well. You go to open your mouth to speak when something wet and slightly slippery smacks you in the face. Confused and slightly annoyed you look down to see that the Tsurak has its tswin sticking out of the water expectantly. Steve becomes amazed, moves a little closer, and crouches.
"Oh my god..." Steve says quietly as he watches the two infront of him. You slowly reach behind you and pull your tswin forward, and bring it to meet the Tsurak's. When the small pink nerve endings meet they bind together and suddenly everything feels different. You got the sudden urge to hang on for dear life and did so. Which proved to be a good idea since the Tsurak took off swimming quickly in what felt like a familiar direction to it. When your lungs start to burn in protest for air the Tsurak changes its direction to go for the surface. When it breaks the surface its wings spread and it flies above the water. You take a deep breath letting the scent of the ocean air flow into your lungs and you laugh happily as you watch the ocean fly by.
Hours later the Tsurak dives into the water for probably the 15th time when you get close to an island, but after a minute it pops back up above the water. When you get to the shallows he stops and you slide off of him and disconnect your tswins. He swims off quickly and you sigh, unsure of where you are or why he brought you here. You turn to go inland to try to find somewhere to safely stash your avatar, but quickly put your hands up in surrender. Behind you are several clan members with their weapons drawn and pointed at you. The tallest Na'vi man you had ever seen walks through the crowd shortly followed by a shorter female Na'vi.
"Why have you come to us, tawtute?" The female asks and you nervously gulp.
"I didn't mean to... The Tsurak approached me while I was swimming, offered to bond with me, and brought me here." You say honestly and she slowly walks around you. She picks up your arm and lets it fall to your side. Then she tugs on your tail and hums quietly. Then she picks up your tswin, twirls it in her hand once, then drops it. She returns to the man's side and the two have a silent conversation. Occasionally their eyes would wander back to you and they almost seemed... Intrigued?
"Come." The woman says and comes back over to you wrapping an arm around your back, guiding you.
"Everyone, return to your duties." The man says and follows behind the two of you. They lead you to a shelter and tell you what each thing inside is for.
"Why... are you treating me nicely?" You ask confused. "I'm human, my race hasn't exactly been good to yours."
"Just as not all Na'vi are bad, not all humans can be." The man says.
"There is a reason your Tsurak approached you. A gifted one that was given to us by the Great Mother." The woman says and you suddenly remember what Steve told you before you were whisked away, so to speak.
"Wait... I need to go help Max." You say hurriedly and the two seem confused. "Right before I bonded with my Tsurak, my mentor, Steve, told me that the RDA was about to attack the Omatikaya Hometree. I need to go help stop it."
"What?" The woman asks angrily.
"The people that brought me here to Pandora, they were about to attack the Omatikaya People's Hometree." You say hurriedly and she shakes her head.
"I sense that you are not a fighter. There is not much that you would beable to do to help." The woman says and you sigh sadly and your ears droop. You know what she's saying is true, you're not a fighter, you study things you learn about them. In no way had you ever been taught to fight or even shoot a gun.
"Here, you are safe and you do not have to fight." The man says and you shake your head.
"Maybe my avatar is, but my human body is still back in the mainland." You tell them, they look at eachother and sigh.
"We will start training you tomorrow." The man says and the woman agrees.
"Wait... what are your names?" You ask them.
"I am Tonowari, Olo'eyktan of the Metkayina." 'Tonowari' introduces himself.
"And I am Ronal, TsahĂk." 'Ronal' introduces herself as well.
"I'm (Y/n)." You introduce yourself to them. Ronal and Tonowari share a small smile and they leave you alone in the hut they took you to.
A few days later you link with your avatar with a heavy heart. Knowing you will most likely be sent back to Earth with some of the other scientists and humans. When you link you got up and stretched then made your way to find Tonowari or Ronal or both. It really depended on who you would find first. When you spot them they are in deep conversation, speaking quietly to one another.
"Good morning Tonowari, good morning Ronal." You greet them and they immediately cease their conversation and look up to you.
"(Y/n), good morning. Come join us for breakfast." Tonowari says and you take a seat across from them and Ronal hands you a leaf with breakfast in it.
"We were just discussing if we wanted to have you train with Ronal today or if I would continue training you to hunt." Tonowari says and you sigh sadly.
"I'm sorry, but I'm most likely going to be sent back to Earth soon." You say sadly.
"Why?" Ronal asks her voice angry.
"The humans have waged war against the Omatikaya... The last I heard anything was earlier when one of the scientists at the main base told us that the military leader was preparing for an attack on the Tree of Souls." You tell them with a frown. Tonowari immediately stands and shakes his head.
"No... You are Metkayina. You stay on Eywa'eveng." Tonowari says and you shake your head.
"I won't have a choice." You tell him quietly, but he doesn't respond. He simply grabs his spear and walks out of his marui, a few of his best warriors falling to his side as he walks away. You look at Ronal in confusion and she just gives you a reassuring smile.
"Then it is decided... You will train with me today. I'm going to start with the easy part of healing, making bandages." Ronal says with a smile and after you both finish breakfast, she leads you to the healer's marui.
Hours later you're learning to make a salve to help calm down the effects of Stinging Coral when you feel your consciousness being pulled back to your human body. You have enough time to feel your body start to collapse, but you're back in your human body before you make contact with the ground.
You sigh sadly and get out of the linkpod. Nothing. That's all you could hear, it's all you could feel. Suddenly a hand is shoved in your face and waved to catch your attention. You look up with an angry expression, hating it when people get your attention that way.
"(Y/n), you and Kira are leaving." Steve signs and you feel your spirits fall once more. "Tonowari and a few of his warriors are here to take you with them." Steve sign quickly when he realizes you thought you were being sent back to Earth.
"Kira is going too?" You ask him and he nods.
"One of the warriors took a liking to her so she's going too." Steve explains and you nod. You feel a smile creep across your lips and you quickly go over, grab an oxygen mask, and take off running out of the airlock. Kira is already outside talking to Tonowari and the others when you get out there. Kira sees you and quickly turns and says something to Tonowari and his men. When you get close enough Tonowari turns to Kira and says something to her.
"Tonowari says that he couldn't stand the thought of you being forced to go back, when he feels that you belong with him and his people." Kira says and you smile wide and look at Tonowari.
"I will admit I have not been with them for long but I feel like Awa'atlu is where I belong." You tell Kira and she turns and talks to Tonowari. He offers you his hand and leads you to the water where their Tsuraks are all waiting. And soon enough you're riding off in the direction of Awa'atlu... Your home.
15 Years Later
The horns blared signaling visitors to Awa'atlu and Ronal looked at you worriedly. Ever since it was confirmed you were pregnant both she and Tonowari had been overprotective.
"You should stay here." Ronal says as she gets up but you roll your eyes and standup as well.
"It will be alright Ronal. I can protect myself and both you and Tonowari will be there." You say and move to leave the healers marui.
"Yawne, this is your first child with us. I want you to be safe." Ronal argues softly.
"As I said I will be safe. You and Tonowari will be here." You say in return again and nearly bounce your way down the walkways, Ronal begrudgingly following behind you.
When you get to where your clan is gathered around 5 ikrans. Your ears perk forward as the crowd splits for you and Ronal. Your head cocks to the side as you recognize Jake.
"Jake Sully." You say in surprise and you approach him, Ronal quietly protesting.
"(Y/n)?" Jake asks in surprise. "What- How-" Jake stammers and you shrug.
"We both chose our people." You say casually and you feel a large muscular arm wrap around your shoulders. You turn to find Tonowari and a smile comes across your features at seeing your other mate.
"Jake Sully. I take it you already know of my second mate?" Tonowari questions and Jake's jaw nearly falls off him.
"I met her once a long time ago, but I didn't know she was your second mate." Jake admits.
"I was there the first time he connected to his avatar." You tell Tonowari and snicker at Jake's embarrassed expression.
"Why have you come to us?" Ronal finally asks, obviously done with dancing around the subject.
"We've come seeking uturu." Jake says and you feel Tonowari's muscles in his back tighten.
"Uturu?" Ronal says astonished by the request.

Pair: Neytiri x Y/N human baby x Sully family
Warning: Mention of dead, soft moments, mama neytiri <3
Request: (Anon) I love how you describe neytiri being our mother. Can I asked if you could react or make a small oneshot about how neytiri would adopt us.
AVATAR MASTERLIST | Part 2
Neytiri learned of your existence when your mother gave birth 1 year after neteyam's birth. It was big news in the clan. Mo'at attended the entire birth, as norm could not do anything else. Your mother had complications with the delivery, and she was losing a lot of blood. And the baby could not come out. After a labor of more than 5 hours, the woman died leaving mo'at with no choice but to deliver the baby on her own, asking eywa to keep the newborn alive. Norm was at her side, helping her, ready to provide oxygen to the newborn as soon as it came out of the woman's womb. To his surprise, just as mo'at pulled you out and the woman wiped the baby's nose with her hand and tapped the baby's back to make it respond. All this happened very fast, norm hear how the baby takes a breath and starts to cry. As if she could breathe air easily. Mo'at looks curiously at the man, placing the baby on her chest trying to pacify the baby.
After about 5 minutes and norm monitoring the baby, he notices how the lack of air began in the newborn. Putting on a special oxygen mask that your mother had prepared for you, he watched you breathe. Norm wanted to check something in his head, he thought it couldn't be true, but he wasn't wrong. After 10 minutes of letting you breathe human oxygen, he removed the mask and saw how the newborn kept looking to the sides, very calm. This child had the respiratory system of the na'vi. He almost fainted, how could this be possible.
Norm took it upon himself to investigate, and what a surprise he got. Your mother was a doctor, she had been one of those responsible for the creation of the DNA of the avatars. She had been injecting herself with a modified DNA for months, just so her baby could breathe the air of Pandora. Of course, this was very irresponsible of her, and Norm understood why she was hiding this experiment. He would never have allowed a baby to be experimented on like that. But wellâŠit was too late. This was a surprise to everyone, the first human who could breathe in Pandora. Max and Norm discovered that this was only possible for fetuses, and not all of them. Only those that could survive the treatment, for your release your DNA withstood all the changes. And lucky for youâŠMo'at wanted to take care of you, not as your mother but as your guardian. She felt a kind of responsibility, your mother was a very good person to her, and she had trusted her with everything. So she would take care of her daughter. And that's when neytiri met you.
She had given birth to lo'ak 5 months ago, and finding out that there was another newborn baby was very interesting to her. Her mother never told her that the baby was a human, neytiri thought it was another na'vi woman who had given birth and could not survive. And about the human who gave birth, wellâŠshe lamented the event but didn't think much of it. She could hear Jake lamenting, and everyone else but it wasn't her problem. She was on her way to her mother's hut, Mo'at had called her to ask her for a favor and to meet the new baby. Neytiri entered very excited, seeing how her mother was sitting there cradling something on her chest.
"MotherâŠdid you call me?" speaks Neytiri. Mo'at settles herself more so that she is now seated in front of her daughter. "Yes, I want to ask you a favor" neytiti nods her head, now sitting up. As she settled lo'ak more on her chest.
"I think you already know about the human-woman who gave birth and died, right?" moat asks.
"YesâŠit's very sad news" says neytiri, she doesn't want to imagine that scene. Now she was a mother and she can't imagine how hard it must be for a baby to be alone without its mother.
" Now that you knowâŠI need you to take care of this baby" mo'at pulls out a human baby from her chest, of course she wouldn't have seen it, it was very small compared to her baby. Holding the newborn baby with only one hand, so that her daughter could see it. Before neytiri could speak, mo'at begins;
"SheâŠher mother did not stand the birth, she is a very special baby neytiriâŠshe can breathe our air, she can have a good life. Since you and your partner have adopted kiri, and jake is part of the humans. I think it would be the right thing to do, to help this baby grow up. Besides, you are the only woman who has just given birth, this baby needs to be fed with mother's milk," speaks Mo'at.
Leaving neytiri speechless, she more than anyone else knew that she did not like humans that much. And now she was asking him to take care of one of them. She adopted kiri, because the baby was a na'vi. And she accepted jake, because he had his na'vi body. But now that she would take care of a human child? His mother was going crazy. "MomâŠI can't do that, get someone else to do it?" speaks neytiri in protest. Mo'at shakes her head, her mother looked calm. Placing the baby now, in a kind of nest she had prepared. This one was in front of her, in front of her feet.
"Daughter I wouldn't be asking you this if it wasn't necessary, this baby can't be raised by humans. She needs to breathe oxygen from these masks from time to time" mo'at held for a moment the mask norm had left for the baby. "But it's not just thatâŠthis baby's feeding is also from a na'vi. Norm already tried to feed her food that is used for human babies and she threw it up. She won't accept it, I thought you might be able to help. It's just feeding and basic care. You don't have to take care of her or adopt her." Mo'at speaks.
Neytiri was still looking at the baby with curiosity, she could have a lot of anger with humans. But she was not a monster, she was not a savage. What she was seeing there was a helpless creature, which she could tell was a little weak. Neytiri touches one of the baby's feet a little, seeing if it had any movement. "I'm afraid it will die if it doesn't feed well in the next few hours" says mo'at. Neytiri sighs, and thinks for a moment. Feeding a baby is not a bad thing, indeed it is very common in the clan. Helping and feeding the children in the clan was something that the women of the omaticaya clan helped each other with. So she would do it as a way to support her mother.
"It's okay," neytiri says, moving lo'ak a little to the side of her chest. Taking the human baby in her hands, carrying it carefully on her breast. It was very delicate and small. It weighed almost nothing, she was afraid that if it moved too much it would hurt the newborn. Neytiri moves the ornaments covering her breasts a little, bringing the creature close. Carefully positioning and guiding the baby. Noticing how the baby opens its mouth desperately trying to seek a maternal touch. After a few seconds, Neytiri watched as the baby began to suck with ease.
Neytiri settles in more, and places the baby on her forearm. She watched as the baby sucked the milk with great enthusiasm. She felt sorry, and an anguish filled her heart. She was such a small and helpless baby. Neytiri noticed how now lo'ak had gotten up, but did not begin to fuss or anything. He just started to move his little hands, until he found the human baby's foot that was right next to him. He touched it carefully and curiously, closing his hand. "Hey carefulâŠbe gentle" says neytiri in a low voice, trying not to wake the baby and not to upset her son.
After feeding the baby, neytiri continued to hold the baby to her breast. The baby had fallen asleep, and she looked more peaceful. She had finally eaten since she was born.
"DaughterâŠif you don't want to do it I understandâŠbut I trust you and " mo'at is interrupted by neytiri. "MotherâŠit's okay, I will take care of her. After all she is a baby and she needs our help" says neytiri, stroking the baby's tiny head.
"OkâŠNeteyam come here!!!" shouts jake, watching as his one year old son ran as fast as he could around the edge of the family hut. Kiri was next to him, playing with some toys. Jake watched as his partner entered the hut. Neytiri had her eyes on her chest, cooing at something. Jake thought it was lo'ak, but noticed how Neytiri had another net over her chest, and was holding something else. Jake gets up from the ground, and walks over to her.
"And what do you bring there?" asks jake. Watching as neytiri giggles softly, moving the net a bit revealing the face of a human baby. "That's it⊠it's newborn" jake quickly approaches taking the baby in his hands. It was instinctive, they already had their own children and seeing another baby was very common for them, they acted on their instincts. Cradling the baby in their arms. "This is that woman's baby, huh?" asks jake. Hearing how neytiri answers him with a "hmm". There was a small silence, until neytiri explained everything to jake. The man was a little surprised by his mate's attitude, she didn't usually act like that. Neytiri wouldn't even go near spider, and now she was taking care of a baby girl. A human baby.
"She needs to be fed and cared forâŠmom told me she needs this to breathe sometimes" says neytiri, holding up an oxygen box which had a small oxygen mask. "WellâŠthere's nothing we can do" says jake, laughing a little. Neytiri moves closer to jake and gets closer to smell a little bit of the baby's hair. "She's very precious and special" says neytiri.
"yesâŠ.is very special" says jake. Until jake feels someone touch his feet. It was kiri and neteyam who wanted to be carried, they wanted to see how much their parents were doing. Jake kneels down, showing the baby to his sons. "She's a babyâŠjust like your brother" jake speaks softly. A little neteyam reaches over and gently touches the baby's nose, to start laughing. He thought the baby was funny, and kiri does the same. The children were amazed at the baby their father was holding in his arms.
Neytiri didn't know what she was getting into, but she knew she was going to do her assignment very well. She herself began to doubt, the more Y/N grew up, because it was more than obvious that this baby was going to stay with them, after taking care of you for 6 months Neytiri told her mother that she would adopt you as her daughter. This news filled mo'at with joy. She knew she had chosen well, and that her daughter would do a great job. But now neytiri was doubting herself.
The mothers could be a little rude if they wanted to, it had been five years since Y/N had come into their family. And the Sully's had raised the girl as one of their children. There was no preference, no special care. You were a na'vi in the eyes of her family, but to some members of the clan you were still a strange human who shouldn't be in the village. It was more than evident that you were a human, but what human wore no mask at all?. Except you, and this bothered neytiri a lot. She was always hearing how some mothers commented on your appearance and made ignorant comments. Making fun of her for thinking she was the mother of this strange creature. This did not stop Neytiri, even though it hurt her, she went ahead with your raising. But it was normal for her to doubt her parenting and whether it was right for her to take care of you.
Neytiri had gone for a walk with all her children, sitting in a nice meadow. Watching her children run and play. Neteyam, kiri were running around. While lo'ak was lying with his head lying in her lap, while taking a nap. And Y/N she was beside her playing with a wooden ikran, making it fly. As she stood calmly by her side. Neytiri She hadn't been so calm in a while, taking out her bow that hung from her back. She used to carry it, in case there was something dangerous. She began to fix some details, like the loose string. Taking her knife to sharpen one of her arrows.
Neytiri was so focused, she didn't notice that Y/N had gotten up from the floor. You were small, so you didn't make much noise. You look for some branches, a rock, and some ropes from the trees that were on the ground. Running now to sit next to your mother. Neytiri notices how you sit down again, and is surprised to see how you have all these things between your legs. Trying to put them together, and imitating Neytiri. Copying how she was sharpening her arrows. "HoneyâŠlook it's like this" says neytiri, following your game. Giving you a stone that was next to you, for you to play with.
You were next to her, copying what she was doing. What was she worrying about, she felt a little silly. Here was the child she doubted she was raising right, imitating her. She chuckled to herself, stroking her daughter's face a little, pulling up the oxygen mask around her neck over her daughter's nose so she could breathe a little. Watching as the little girl continued her work of creating a bow. She knew that life at your side was going to be difficult, but it was going to be worth it. She knew that.

A passionate teacher
Pairing: Neteyam x female human reader
Summary: Neteyam teaches you Na'vi, but he gives his lessons a little twist to make it more interesting.
Word count: 2.4k
Warnings: Suggestive content, hints of sex
It has been a while since you moved to Pandora. You had always been intrigued by the beauty of the moon and the bond its inhabitants had with Eywa. You came to Pandora to study the Naâvi. You wanted to learn their ways and educate other humans about it so that both species could live in peace together.
Learning the way of the naâvi meant you had to live with them and that included learning their language. When you signed up for this position, you expected you would watch the indigenous from afar, not to live with them. You never expected to really interact with them since they donât have a good bond with humans, so you never learned the language.
However, one certain oloâeyktan named Jake Sully, thought it would be a good idea to take some humans under his wing. How else were you supposed to learn their ways? Luckily, Jake and some other naâvi spoke English which made it easier for you to communicate.
This is how you ended up dating the oloâeyktans eldest son. Not long after your arrival, Neteyam started to show interest in you. Lucky for you, he spoke English, so you bonded quickly.
It was now a couple of months later, and you still had a lot of difficulty with the language. The pronunciation was most difficult for you, which is why you also struggled with your vocabulary. Today, Neteyam took a day off to help you. You were sitting on a branch beside a small lake, the sound of the running water combined with the wind blowing through the trees and the distant sound of sturmbeests and direhorses grazing, had a calming effect on you. This was your so-called study spot. The relaxing atmosphere made it easy for you to focus which is why you came here so often.
Today, you had been working on greeting others and introducing yourself. You were proud to say you had mastered that pretty well. Right now, you were focussing on different body parts.
âWhat do you call this?â Neteyam asked as he placed a kiss on your hand. You blushed slightly at the sensation of his soft lips against your skin. Even though you had been dating Neteyam for a while now, he still made you nervous.
âTsyokx,â you said without hesitation. Youâve been studying the names of body parts for a week now, some of them you knew by heart, while others were more difficult for you.
âSĂŹltsan (well done),â he praised you while moving his lips up your arm, toward your shoulder, placing a kiss. âAnd this?â
You thought for a moment, his lips on your skin were making it hard for you to focus. ââEtnaw?â it was more a question than a statement and Neteyam raised his brows.
âDonât be so uncertain, yawne. You know more than you think,â his yellow eyes stared into yours and you could feel your cheeks heat up even more. His big eyes showed so much love and compassion and they were really complimented by his long lashes. They were so beautiful, almost ethereal. You swallowed before repeating yourself, but this time with more confidence. Neteyam nodded, praising you again.
He moved his hand up your arm slowly, admiring every inch of your skin. He took hold of your elbow gently, tracing his index finger up and down the joint softly. His touch was very gentle, like he always was with you. His gaze flicked from your elbow to your face, making eye contact again. He looked at you expectantly, waiting for you to tell him the name of the joint. You knew what the elbow was called in naâvi, but you struggled with the pronunciation. âPuntil,â you said hesitantly, knowing you mispronounced it. Neteyam kept staring into your eyes while he held on to your elbow. âThatâs not quite right, yawne,â he said, his voice gentle and patient. You blushed again at the nickname he used for you and looked down shyly.
The naâvi reached his other hand up to your chin, grabbing it gently between his thumb and index finger as he guided your gaze back to his. âLetâs try again,â he said. âPâŠpuntil,â you tried again. You knew you had to pop the p, but for some reason you really struggled with it. âIâm sorry,â you apologised when Neteyam shook his head again.
âDonât apologise,â he said gently. âYouâre learning.â His gaze was soft and patient, making you feel comfortable around him. You often wondered how he was always so patient with you since you struggled with the same words over and over again. âTry after me,â he said as he let go of your chin. âPxuntil.â
âPuntil,â you tried again, shaking your head in frustration when you didnât pop the p again.
âItâs okay, y/n,â he said. âLetâs try again.â He pronounced it for you, after which you mispronounced again. It kept going like this for a couple of times until you finally got it right.
âPxuntil,â you said, and your eyes grew wide when you finally got it right. âNeteyam, I finally did it!â you exclaimed excitedly. A smile crept on his face, his excitement matching yours.
âGood job, tahnĂŹ,â he said before lifting your arm up to his lips, kissing it softly. His eyes were fixed on yours when he kissed your elbow, and you could feel your cheeks heating up again. You enjoyed him rewarding you with kisses. It made you motivated to keep going.
He allowed his hand to slowly trace over your arm and up to your neck. His fingers lingered on your ear. âHow do you call this?â he asked again, leaning closer to you. You noticed your heart started to beat faster when he leaned in, and you hoped he would come even closer.
âMikyun,â you breathed, not really paying attention to him anymore. Your eyes were focussed on his soft, beautiful lips. Oh, how you wished he would kiss you right now.
The boy leaned in even closer, his lips now close to your ear. His breath left goosebumps against your skin, and you swallowed hard when he whispered in your ear. âSiltsan.â He pressed his lips to your ear and placed a gentle kiss, making you gasp at the tingling sensation his lips left on your skin. Neteyam noticed your reaction and he decided to take it a little further by grazing his sharp canines over your lobe. You bit your lip and closed your eyes, enjoying the sensation.
âDonât get too distracted, sevin,â Neteyam whispered before pulling away. He chuckled when he saw how red your cheeks have become. He knew you could make you flustered easily, and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
You opened your eyes when he pulled away, already missing the heat of his skin. You saw him reach out his hand to your face as he gently placed it on your cheek, rubbing circles on your soft skin with his thumb. You leaned into his touch and closed your eyes again. Neteyam smiled at the sight of you relaxing into his touch. âMa y/n,â he started with a husky voice. âKeep your focus. What is this?â
You smiled at his words. You didnât want to focus anymore. You wanted to be cuddled up against your boyfriend, to use his large body as a bed. âHmm?â you hummed, âwhat is what?â
Neteyam chuckled again, but his grip on your face tightened slightly, to keep you alert. âHow do you call this?â
âA cheek,â you said playfully as you opened your eyes to look into his yellow orbs. He raised his brows at your sass, clearly amused by your sudden change of demeanour.
âAnd now in Naâvi,â he said. His voice was stern, but you didnât miss the playfulness underneath. You hesitated for a moment; you forgot the translation. You couldnât let him wait too long though for his gaze became more intense as the seconds ticked by. âFwang,ïżœïżœ you said eventually.
Neteyamâs gaze softened a bit, but his grip on your face didnât loosen one bit. âNo, yawne. That has to do with smell.â His voice was as patient as ever, which made you feel comfortable enough to make mistakes. âCan you guess again?â
You shook your head. âI donât know,â you whispered.
Your boyfriend smiled slightly before giving you the proper translation. âFlawn,â he said, his intense gaze never leaving yours.
You sighed in frustration. âIt sounds the same, so it counts as correct. Can I get a kiss now?â you asked, hoping he would still give you your reward.
He chuckled again and shook his head. âThey do look alike. But you got it wrong, so youâre not getting a kiss yet.â Â
You pouted slighty, as he removed his gaze from your eyes to your nose. âIâll give you another chance,â he said. âWhat is ânoseâ?â
âOntu,â you said immediately, earning a smirk from Neteyam. He knew what you were doing. You werenât doing it for learning the language anymore. You were doing it just to receive his kisses. The naâvi slowly leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on your nose. He rested his lips on your skin a little longer than necessary before pulling away.
A smile appeared on your lips when he kissed your nose, and you couldnât help but blush at the sensation of his skin against yours. You noticed how he looked at your lips after he pulled away and you bit your lip slightly. You wanted to kiss him so badly right now, but you knew you had to wait till he kissed your lips. Neteyamâs gaze never left your lips, and you knew what his next question was going to be. Before he had time to speak, you answered.
âSeyri,â you said hastily. The naâvi chuckled as he shook his head. âPatience, sevin. You have to let me ask the question first.â He looked at you as he spoke, his eyes held a hint of playfulness, and you knew he enjoyed this little game you made. He leaned in closer to you and hovered his lips above yours. You could feel his hot breath fan on your lips that were so eager to kiss him. Just hurry up, you thought.
âWhat do you call your lips?â he asked as he leaned in just a little closer. His lips grazed yours slightly as he spoke, which made goosebumps appear on your skin.
âSeyri,â you whispered before leaning forward. You expected his lips to crash onto yours and you furrowed your brows in irritation when you saw Neteyam leaned back. âWhat are you doing?â you asked him, your voice full of curiosity, but also a hint of impatience.
Neteyam smiled, enjoying the fact that he was in control. âPatience, ma y/n,â he said as he placed both of his hands on either side of your face. He started leaning in again and stopped when his lips hovered above yours. âSiltsan,â he whispered before gently placing his lips onto yours. You immediately wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him closer to you. You tried to kiss him more eagerly, wanting more of him than just this one, slow kiss, but he didnât budge. Instead, his lips were glued to yours, frozen in place.
After a long, frozen kiss he pulled away slowly. âLike I said before,â Neteyam whispered. âPatience, darling.â
Your breath hitched in your throat and your heart beat quickened when he called you âdarlingâ. Â You felt butterflies in your stomach as you looked at him with pleading eyes. âPlease, Neteyam,â you begged. âI have had patience for long enough. I just want you to kiss me, please.â Your hands reached for his neck again and you pulled him back in. This time, he allowed you to and, as his lips touched yours, you were surprised he kissed you more eager now. His lips moved faster than before and one of his hands slowly slid down your back to your waist. He used that hand to pull you onto his lap, making you straddle him, without ever breaking the kiss.
You allowed your hands to slide down from his neck to his chest, his shoulders and then his arms, feelings his strong muscles tense under your touch. His hand gripped your waist a little tighter as he pulled you further into his lap. You gasped when his other hand reached under your leg and squeezed the soft flesh there. You noticed how the kiss started to become hungrier as he licked your bottom lip, begging for entrance.
You opened your mouth as you gave him permission to explore your mouth. His tongue fought with yours and you couldnât help but moan a little when he squeezed your leg again, his long fingers grazing your inner thigh. Your hands reached back up to his neck and took hold of his braids to softly tug at them, earning a low growl from him. The kiss started to get more heated, and you felt a wetness appearing in between your legs. You couldnât help but grind against Neteyamâs thick thighs in an attempt to release some of your tension.
Suddenly, Neteyam pulled away from the kiss. He was breathing heavily, and his eyes were half lidded and full of lust. âMaybe we should take this somewhere more private,â he said as he allowed his hands to roam over your legs and your bum.
âBut this is our private spot, âTeyam,â you wined as you pushed him onto his back. âI donât want to stop now. I have been waiting for far too long.â You slid your hands over his chest and belly, down to his loincloth.
Neteyam chuckled slightly, admiring you from underneath. You could see him considering his options and you leaned down to place a kiss on his neck before taking the skin in between your lips, sucking at it slightly. This earned a growl from deep in his chest and you could feel him swallow hard.
âAlright,â he said, his voice had gone down an octave and it created even more butterflies in your stomach. âHow can I say no to you? I have kept you waiting for long enough.â
He pulled you in for a kiss again and gently traced his fingers over your sensitive skin. You certainty wouldnât mind all of your naâvi-lessons to end this way.

I TOLD YOU THINGS. | đ„ loâak sully
ââ .⊠part 1 of: PREMONITIONS
wc: 5.5k
pairing: loâak x fem!naâvi reader (aged up characters for plot purposes!)
story description: after completing iknimaya, you were so sure that you and him were going to happen. but, reality reared its ugly head and your dreams were just dreams. loâak had suddenly severed your 16-year-long bond with him, leaving you behind to pick up the broken pieces.
contains: angst, slowburn, childhood friends to enemies to lovers, and fluff (maybe soon)
warnings: none, except hurt feelings of course.
â PART 2:
a/n: this is my FIRST avatar fic EVER. i did not expect to write this much for 2 days, or nearly experience zero writing block. man, was i on a roll. anyway, this was meant to be a one-shot, but itâs most likely going to turn into a 2 parter. maybe if this part does well⊠iâll write the next part!
It didnât bother you as much as it used toâlosing touch with Loâak and the Sully family. Or at least, thatâs what you told yourself. These days, dinner at eclipse was spent around a different circle of friends and family, and the once-frequent glimpses of the Sullys at distant bonfires had grown rare, fading into the past.
You had no reason to dwell on it. The here and now mattered more than old memories. Or so you tried to believe.
âWhoâs ready for a round of sâmores?â Dâylaâs voice rang out, cheerful and unbothered, as she raised a stick skewered with marshmallow high in the air. A chorus of agreement followed, hands lifting in unison around the crackling bonfire. Its warmth was inviting, the glow reflecting the growing camaraderie of the group.
âIf it werenât for the Sullys,â Dâyla added with a grin, âwe wouldnât even have these⊠cotton edibles.â
You couldnât help but laugh softly at the term, though it didnât quite reach your chest, where a familiar pang settled instead. The mention of the Sullys was always like thatâstirring up feelings you werenât sure what to do with. They were still as admirable as ever, their deeds sung by the people of the clan. But thatâs all they were to you now: stories. Praised figures. Not the friends you used to know. Not anymore.
Did it bother any of them? Maybe it did. Neteyam, Kiri, Tuk, and even their parents had made small efforts over the years to keep in touch, but life pulled everyone in different directions. The distance had grown so naturally, so imperceptibly, that it became easy to accept. Your motherâs words echoed in your mind often: âThatâs just the way life goes.â
But it wasnât completely severedânot yet. You knew the Sullys didnât want to let go entirely. The occasional gestures were proof of that. All except for one: Loâak.
Of all the Sullys, he seemed unbothered by the widening chasm. Maybe even willing to let it turn into a full-fledged canyon. And for reasons you couldnât understand, that hurt the most.
Because for the longest time, he had mattered the most.
By the time you passed your Iknimaya, the two of you had become little more than strangers. The shift was so sudden, so stark, that it felt almost unreal. But it was real. Real enough that you stopped asking his siblings about him. Real enough that you stopped asking the entire family.
They all had futures to look towardâNeteyam especially, with the weight of being the future Oloâeyktan on his shoulders. You couldnât bring yourself to beg for answers. You wouldnât risk making them worry about you and Loâak any further.
If this was the end of some childhood story, then so be it. Some endings didnât need explanations.
Thatâs just the way life goes⊠right?
2 years agoâŠ
âSo, out of all four today, whoâs caught your eye the most?â Kiriâs voice carried a teasing lilt as she lounged in Loâakâs tent, her tail swishing idly across the floor flaps. Her curiosity radiated in every movement, her grin sharp and knowing. âCome on, brother! Youâve been looking forward to this age for this exact reason.â
Loâak lowered himself onto the floor table, the one you had built for him not long ago. His eyes immediately found you in the corner of the tent, quietly inspecting your bow. You looked preoccupied, your fingers tracing over the carvings heâd etched into the wood a few moons ago. Passing Iknimaya had been all you could talk about lately, and Loâakâdesperate to stay connectedâhad tried to keep up with you, chasing your conversations even as they veered further into adulthood.
He let out a slow breath, pinching the bridge of his nose as he muttered, âI know, I know. I just⊠donât know. It seems hard. Thereâs so many.â
But the truth was far messier. While you seemed optimistic about growing up, Loâak dreaded it. Growing up felt like the end of everything he lovedâplayfulness, freedom, and most importantly, you. He feared that your bold streak, the one that had always set you apart, would eventually take you somewhereâor to someoneâthat didnât include him.
He wouldnât admit it aloud, but the thought of losing you to adulthood terrified him.
The thought twisted in his chest. Would he just become a memory, a childish friend you once cared for but ultimately outgrew? Loâak couldnât shake the fear that one day, when his mother inevitably started dropping hints about you and him being tied together for life, youâd recoil. Youâd laugh off the idea, push him away, and that would be the end.
That every shared laugh, every accidental graze of your skin, every lingering glance meant nothing to you while they consumed him whole.
But he wasnât ready to lose you. Not yet.
And yet, here you were, completely unbothered by Kiriâs teasing. When the conversation turned to the topic of other girls courting him, you remained so painfully supportive, offering polite smiles and offhand comments. Loâak knew he was selfish for it, but part of him wanted your chest to pang at the thought of him being with someone else. The way his chest burned whenever he imagined you with another Naâvi.
âSo, what about you, [Y/n]?â Kiri asked, her tone light and mischievous as her sharp eyes flicked between the two of you. âHave you given Teâylu or Ekâran an answer yet? Or is there someone else youâve got your eye on? I mean, with you being one of the most sought-after girls around, Iâm sure thereâs no shortage of people trying to catch your attention.â
You shook your head, your response clipped and quick. âNo.â
Fuck.
Loâakâs stomach dropped. Was your nonchalance genuine, or was it a front, masking feelings you didnât want to admit? He dared to hope for the latter, but hope was dangerous.
Because he knew, deep down, that it wasnât fair to wish for anything other than your happiness. If you chose someone who was nothing like him, someone who made you truly happy, he would accept it. He would let you go with silent resignation, even if it tore him apart.
But a cruel thought lingered: maybe if you had known him less, for the the version of him that he could exist as in your fantasies, you wouldâve love him more than for who he actually was. The flawed reality of him that you knew too well at heart. Because maybe, just maybe, you knew him too much to find him attractive.
And maybe then, instead of it being strangers heâd get teased about being with, it would be you.
8 years agoâŠ
The sunlight danced through the canopy above, a shifting mosaic of gold and green that dappled the jungle floor. Everything smelled fresh, like rain-soaked earth and blooming flowers. The world felt bigger back then, didnât it? The air heavier with mystery, the trees taller, their shadows deeper. It was one of those days where the wind carried the laughter of children like a melodyâbut beneath it all, there was something sharper. Something you didnât notice until later.
You were following the sound of your fatherâs totem, the little wooden carving tied to a leather string that never left your neck. Only it wasnât on your neck now. It was ahead of you, swaying in SĂ€nikaâs hand. The jungle was alive with noiseâbirds chirping, leaves rustlingâbut all you could hear was your heart pounding and SĂ€nikaâs teasing voice calling over her shoulder.
Her auburn hair bounced as she skipped ahead, the curls catching the sunlight like copper wire. You hated how she always looked untouchable, even when she was being cruel. There was a faint scar running down her left cheek, just a thin, silvery line that deepened when she smirkedâand she was smirking now, her yellow eyes gleaming as she turned to face you near the edge of the cliff.
âYouâre such a crybaby,â she said, holding it higher, as if daring you to lunge. âYou care this much about a stupid trinket? Youâre always carrying it around like a baby with a blanket.â
âItâs not stupid!â you shot back, your voice cracking halfway through. âGive it back, SĂ€nika!â
She wiggled her fingers, making the totem sway above the drop, her yellow eyes sparkling with something cruel. âIf itâs so important, why donât you come and get it?â
You froze, panic tightening your chest. The cliffâs edge crumbled with every gust of wind. The totem wasnât just importantâit was everything. It was the last thing your father had given you beforeâŠbefore you lost him. You couldnât lose it too.
The wind picked up, tugging at your hair, and as you stepped closer, a part of the cliff crumbled beneath your foot. Pebbles tumbled into the ravine, disappearing into the void below. Your stomach flipped, and you stumbled back, your breath catching in your throat.
Thatâs when Loâak appeared, crashing through the underbrush like heâd been chasing after you for hours. He was smaller then, his braids messier, his face still round with childhood. His knees were scraped, his braids tangled, and he looked like heâd just wrestled the entire jungle. He skidded to a stop, eyes darting between you and SĂ€nika, quickly sizing up the situation.
âWhatâs going on?â he asked, though his face was already hardening. He froze when he saw you and SĂ€nika by the cliff, his wide eyes narrowing as he took in the scene.
âSĂ€nika sheâŠ,â you blurted, clutching your arms tight against your chest as you held back tears which threatened to fall. âShe has my totem!â
Loâak frowned, his ears twitching. âWhat are you doing, SĂ€nika? Youâre being so stupid again.â
SĂ€nika tossed her head, her auburn hair bouncing with the motion. âIâm not stupid, Loâak. Iâm teaching her a lesson. She thinks sheâs so special, always clutching that dumb little thing like itâs magic or something.â
âItâs not magic!â you snapped, your nails digging into your palms. âIt was my dadâs! Justâjust stop messing around!â
Loâak stepped forward, his tail swishing sharply behind him. âSĂ€nika, give it back! Youâ!â His voice had dropped into that serious tone he used whenever you both got too close to trouble
You froze, unable to move, a tight knot of fear settling in your stomach. SĂ€nika only tilted her head, eyes gleaming with mischief as she feigned consideration. âHmm, youâre right,â she said slowly, drawing it out. âI donât want to drop it.â Her smile widened, the kind that made your heart race. âI want her to come get it.â
It wasnât a dareâit was a challenge. She held the totem just beyond the edge of the cliff, her knuckles white against the carved wood.
âAre you insane?! Youâre crazy!â he hissed, his voice thick with anger and fear. Loâak warned you, his voice sharper now, âDonât!â
But you couldnât wait. You lunged forward before your fear could hold you back, your hand shooting out toward hers. The ground beneath your feet shifted, loose dirt crumbling into the ravine below, and for a terrifying moment, you felt yourself tipping forward. A strong arm caught you around the waist, yanking you back just as your balance gave out. Loâakâs grip was firm and unyielding as he pulled you away from the edge.
Loâak lurched forward, grabbing her wrist and yanking it back before she could drop the totem. She shrieked, trying to twist away, but Loâak was too quick. He snatched the totem from her hand and shoved her backwardâaway from the cliff, not too hard, but enough to make her stumble.
SĂ€nikaâs laughter rang out, cruel and high-pitched. âAw, she almost made it!â
You collapsed to your knees, trembling as Loâak crouched beside you. âYou okay?â
âSee? No harm done,â SĂ€nika said breezily, brushing dirt from her hands. âYouâre welcome for the excitement.â
Loâak shot her a glare so sharp it couldâve cut through the undergrowth. âShut up, SĂ€nika! Donât mess with her ever again. Go home!â he shot back, before turning to you and pressing the totem into your hands. âHere. Donât let her take it from you again.â
You nodded, your breath still shaky. You clutched the totem tightly, your breath catching in relief. âThank you, Loâak.â You muttered, looking down at it instead of him.
Loâak grinned, his sharp teeth flashing. âYouâre welcome,â he said, his tail flicking with unspent energy. He nudged a pebble with his foot, sending it skittering over the edge of the trail. âBut, next time? Maybe donât let her play you like that so easy. You should definitely keep that in a bag or sumnâ.â
The boyâs hand brushed your shoulder as he stood, his voice turning impatient. He extended a hand, pulling you up with a rare show of careful strength, his grip firm and steady. âCome on! Letâs get out of here before I really lose it.â
You took his hand, both soon walking side by side into the heart of the vibrant forest ahead. Loâak kicked a stone, sending it skittering through the soft, damp soil with a faint, melodic sound, and you sidestepped a low branch that swung too close. Every so often, he nudged you with his elbow, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips. You shoved him back lightly, pretending to glare, but your smile gave you away. Loâak glanced at you, his hand brushing yours for a split second, almost absentmindedly. Without warning, you gave him a playful shove, nudging him off the path. He stumbled but caught himself, shooting you a mock-scowl, though the comfort of familiarity had already replaced the tension, like it always did. âYou owe me for that. Big time.â
âFor what?â you shot back, the adrenaline making you bold. âFor almost letting me fall?â
âFor almost making me fall.â He grinned then, that familiar troublemaker grin. âAnd for not letting you punch her first. Trust me, I saved you a lot of trouble. You could at least say âthank you, Loâak, youâre so brave!ââ
You shoved him back, again, rolling your eyes, but your lips twitched into a grin. âFine. Thank you, Loâak. Youâre so annoying.â
The boy laughed then, loud and carefree. Loâak, always a little quicker, started to moved ahead, but you easily caught up, each of you slipping past the other in a rhythm that felt as natural as breathing. And for a moment, the fear of the cliff and the totemâs danger faded into the background, replaced by the warmth of his laugh.
Each step felt like you were walking deeper into a dream, the quiet murmurs of the forest and the gentle rustling of the leaves filling the space between you two. The ground beneath your feet seemed alive with the roots of massive trees curling up from the earth, their gnarled forms glowing faintly in the tree-filtered, low light. Every now and then, a soft hum of bioluminescent insects flitted past the glowing moss of the trees, their tiny lights like glowing fireflies darting through the air.
âTo say the least, Iâm not as obedient or responsible as my brother. What do they even see in me, other than what Iâve overheardâa second choice to him?â
His words hung in the air, heavier than they should have been. You bit your lip and frowned, a sharp flare of anger rising in your chest as the question twisted something deep inside you. Second choice? That was laughable. You wanted to tell him that that was ridiculous, that the only reason anyone even compared him to Neteyam was because they were blind to everything that made Loâak Loâak. He was amazing as he was. But the words didnât come. They never did, not when it came to this. Defending him outright? That wasnât your style. Compliments between the two of you always felt like crossing some invisible line, one neither of you had ever dared to define.
Instead, you trudged ahead, crunching softly over leaves and branches as the glowing forest swallowed the two of you whole. The world felt quieter now, muted by the creeping eclipse. You glanced back at him, watching his expression as he trudged behind you. He lookedâŠtired. Not just from the dayâs hunt but from something else, something that weighed on him more than you realised.
You were supposed to be honest with him. You always had been. Honest, but sharp. Never tender, never soft. But, this time, you couldnât risk saying what you actually thought. What if he thought you were being weird? Laughed it off, or worse, didnât care? You didnât even know why you felt like thisâprotective, almost angry. It wasnât like Loâak expected you to care to this extent which you did. You didnât.
At least, you didnât think you did.
âYour existence is proof that failure has a sense of humor,â you said, keeping your voice light. âMaybe some girls are just into that.â
You expected him to laughâor roll his eyes, or shoot back something equally sharp. But instead, his footsteps faltered behind you and when you turned, he had halted to a stop, standing still, expression unreadable.
He wanted to ask if you were one of the girls you had previously described, but he mentally slapped himself before he could say something as nearly stupid and weird as that. But there were still questions he found worth asking, one he particularly settled for.
âDo you⊠really see me as a failure?â
The question caught you off guard and for a moment, you froze, unsure of how to respond. His voice wasnât biting or sarcastic. It was quiet, almost hesitant, and that made it worse. It was the most un-Loâak thing ever. Like, he sought for your validation? Never in your lifetime would you be able to foresee that. It was confusing and unexpected, but you didnât have it in you to ask why.
You stared at him, the weight of his question settling between you. He wasnât meeting your eyes, his gaze fixed somewhere just over your shoulder. It wasnât like him to look so unsure, so vulnerable. And it wasnât like you to feel soâŠparalyzed. You wanted to tell him no, of course not, that he was more than what he thought he was.
âLoâak,â you started, your voice softer than you intended. He looked up at you then, just slightly, like he was waiting for somethingâan answer, a reassurance, anything. For a brief moment, you thought about telling him the truth right there and then, when he had prepared himself to be in perfect earshot. And not just the truth about how you didnât see him as a failure, but the truth about why. That you admired him, even when he doubted himself. That you chose to be by his side every day, not because of some childhood bond or shared memories, but because it was him. That you cared about him in a way that scared you because it didnât feel simple anymore.
And with every passing second, the pressure grew, the unspoken words clawing their way up, desperate to escape. You could feel them swelling, a tide rising fast, threatening to spill over. The silence pressed harder, suffocating, as if daring you to break it. But instead of yielding, you retreated behind the familiar walls. You couldnât let it out. Not now. Maybe not ever. Your honest words caught, stuck somewhere between the aching weight in your chest and the trembling tightness in your throat, tangled in feelings too raw to untangle, too sharp to name. You fell back into the only script you knew, the one you two always performed so well.
âI canât even give you a proper compliment without it feeling forced,â you said, forcing a grin that didnât reach your eyes. âBut you know I care. Iâve known you foreverâprobably know more about your failures than youâll ever admit.â
You mentally winced. The moment the words left your mouth, you regretted themânot because they werenât true to your usual dynamic, but because they didnât feel right. Not now. To keeping up the usual pace, this time it felt so wrong and so outdated. But you pushed that thought aside, waiting for the usual retort, the banter you relied on to fill the silence.
For a brief moment, Loâak didnât move. He stood there, his posture taut, muscles in his arms and chest flexing as he stood tallâmuch more solid than the boy you used to know. The years had done their work. He had grown into his body, shaping into something undeniably striking. His skin, painted with the marks of his people, glistened faintly under the moonlight. And as much as you tried to look away, your gaze lingered on the way his shoulders tensed with every breath, the defined lines of his torso stark in the dim light. Loâak pretended not to notice your gaze before you tore your eyes away.
The ache in your chest refused to be ignored as Loâakâs face remained unreadable, a mask of frustration that had nothing to do with the banter that used to flow so easily between you. You caught yourself looking at him, straight ahead this time, and just for a second, the thought flickered through your mind that maybeâmaybe, just maybeâheâd say something to break the tension. But then, he walked past you, his shoulder bumping into yours, causing you to stumble as he moved toward the clearing ahead.
âYouâre right,â he muttered, his voice cold and distant. âIf I ever needed comfort, the last person to ask would be you.â
The words shouldnât have hurt. Youâd heard worse from him before, and youâd given worse in return. But, it was different this time. This time, the edge in his voice wasnât teasing or playful. It was real.
You swallowed hard, trying to ignore the lump in your throat. âLoâak, I wasnât being serious.â you said, forcing out the words even though they felt too hollow to hear.
He kept walking, his steps deliberate and heavy, as if the very act of moving away from you was an act of willpower. His jaw tightened, the muscles working against the storm of emotions threatening to break through. He hated thisâhated how much he suddenly cared, how your jokes now stung instead of rolling off him like they used to. Why couldnât he just laugh it off? Why was it different this time? He didnât want to hurt you, but it felt like he was suffocating under the weight of wanting something deeper.
And for the first time, it scared him to admit it.
What if, without the banter, there was nothing left? What if this was all there ever was? What if a joke is all you saw of him? He didnât know if he could bear that, but was just how things had always been between you two: always deflecting, always skimming the surface even when none of it was casual for him with you. Not anymore.
Because Loâak had spent his whole life pretending he didnât careâabout what his father thought, about how people compared him to his brother, about the teasing he got from others and especially you. But, this time, there was a growing part of him, a small, desperate part, that wanted you to say you saw him differently. He wanted to feel like he mattered to you in a way that went beyond years of childhood habit. He wanted more than your jokes and your teasing, because he knew you could give him that now that you were older. To see through his front, to the boy who was trying to prove he was more than what everyone joked or even thought he was.
But, you never did, And, least of all, Loâak didnât know why he expected you to. Didnât know where all of it was suddenly coming from.
It felt final, like a line had been crossedâone neither of you were ready to admit existed. You wanted to call out to him, to say something, anything, as he walked away, but the weight of fear held your voice hostage and legs tied down. You told yourself it probably didnât matter, that everything will be fine in the morning, as it always had been. But beneath it all, you knew something had shifted and you werenât sure if you could ever go back.
Neither did he.
Loâak didnât look back. He couldnât. Because if he did, he mightâve seen the flicker of confusion and regret in your eyesâand he wasnât sure what he wouldâve done with that. The truth was, Loâak wasnât sure what couldâve hurt more: the idea that you might actually have seen him as a failure, or the realisation that your words mattered to him in ways they never had before for the first time. Either way, it felt like he was losing something he couldnât afford to loseâhis pride, his control, or maybe even you.
If avoiding you were a contest, Loâak would take the prize. The playful banter, once effortless, now felt stilted, a relic of a closeness neither of you knew how to reclaim. Slowly, your conversations dwindledâshorter, more polite, less⊠you two. It wasnât sudden. It happened in tiny, almost imperceptible steps: a missed laugh here, a sidelong glance avoided there, a quippy comeback that never came. Until one day, you realised how quiet it had become between you.
You told yourself it was just a phase. Maybe Loâak needed space after Iknimaya, the details of which he somehow forgot to mention to you. Or maybe you were just imagining things. You clung to that thought, even as the silence between you two grew heavier. But the last thing you wanted was to make the cracks between you visible to anyone else, least of all the Sullys.
Theyâd ask questions you couldnât answer, offer advice you didnât want to hear. You didnât want to admit to them that you were worried, not when Loâak had already made it clear that space was what he needed, no matter how uncomfortable it made things. So, you waited.
But god, you wish you didnât have to.
Days turned into weeks, then months. The wedge delved between you two and your interactions deepened, and widened, into an unknowing expanse. You caught yourself rehearsing things you wanted to say to him, but never did out of the fear of the âwhat-ifâs. Anyway, with each time you saw him, any flicker of hope was quickly extinguished by the stiffness in his acknowledgements towards you, the way he avoided meeting your eyes, or how he said nothing more than two words.
You used to stare into his eyes, studying his face, but now all you saw was his figure from a distance. You held onto the comfort of knowing he was alive, because it was the only comfort you had left since the distance between you had grown.
âAre you sure you two are okay?â Neteyam asked on the hike out, substituting the spot of his younger brother. âHas he been avoiding you, outright?â
Everything that came out of your mouth next was a lie. But, atleast you didnât try to cover it up through a joke this time. Right? 4 weeks ago you were treading the same path, âNo, no. Heâs just busy.â
Two years later, after keeping up with all the lies and excuses of never being seen together, one night after the eclipse, everything came crashing downâif they hadnât had already.
You hadnât meant to go there, not really. You werenât really looking for him. Not on purpose, at least. You had just ended up here, feet carrying you toward the cliffside where the air always seemed to clear your mind, where the familiar sound of the wind through the trees had once calmed your thoughts after eclipse dinner.
You walked aimlessly, your fingers toying with the rough, woven bag Loâak had made for you years ago. It felt strange to still carry it, but you had never been able to leave it behind. His craftsmanship, though imperfect, always had a certain warmth to itâa reminder of times before the silence, before things changed.
But then, as you approached the spot, a laugh cut through the stillness of your night, catching you off guard and freezing you in your tracks.
It was Loâak.
You peered higher and saw Loâak sitting there, but he wasnât alone. His toned arms draped casually around someone else, a female Naâvi who had leaned into him. You could see his face was lit with the kind of ease you hadnât seen from him in months.
And then your breath caught. For a moment. You couldnât tell what you felt.
You didnât know how long you stood there, staring. Long enough to feel the sting of tears prick your eyes. Long enough to realize he wasnât going to notice you. A knot of feelings twisted in your chest, unnamable but impossible to ignore.
You told yourself it wasnât about the girl, not really. You didnât even know her, and maybe that was the point. If she were someone else, someone familiar, maybe you could convince yourself that this was normal. That Loâak was just being Loâak. But the sight of his hands on her waist burned into you like it was something you werenât supposed to see.
Why was she here, and what were they doing?
Maybe it was the laugh. That stupid, familiar laugh that used to be with you, or at least it felt that way. Because all that had now dissipated into silence when that laugh, that ease, was once the thing that kept you going. It was what youâd been waiting for these past few months, but now, you couldnât help but wonder if maybe youâd been waiting for nothing.
Maybe you were wrong to think that the next sunrise would be the one where everything would finally be okay. Maybe you were wrong about everything. Was it always going to be like this now? You and him on opposite sides of something you didnât know how to name?
But then your gaze stilled on somethingâa flash of moonlight catching onto something too familiar, way too vivid.
Her hair.
The sight of it gleamed a rich, deep auburn, like firelight tangled in shadow, a colour freshly burned into the back of your mind, that used to send a cold shiver down your spine.
No⊠It couldnât be.
For a moment, your mind refused to process it. You blinked, stared, convinced the memory was playing tricks on you.
But no.
And then, it hit you.
There she was. SĂ€nika. Sitting right next to Loâak, her arm resting comfortably around his, at your favourite spot, yet the same spot where she threatened to throw your fatherâs totem over. You hadnât seen these two together in ages, were they even friends? What was she doing here, with him? His hands around her waist? How had she slinked into his world, weaving her way through the cracks while you were struggling to even get past through to him beyond the surface?
And then suddenly, you were back there: a younger version of yourselves, swearing under your breath as you tried to avoid her, tried not to let her get to you.
âSheâs such a pain,â Loâak had said once when you were kids, kicking dirt at the ground, his voice bitter. âI swear, I donât know how she manages to be everywhere we are.
You didnât know her at this age anymore, but the unmistakable curve of her cheek, once the subject of countless jokes between you and Loâak, was now the very spot where you painfully watched him press his lips. The damage from that hit you like a punch to the chest, and a tidal wave of angerâone you refused to admit had been buildingâflooded your veins. You tried to make sense of the mess swirling inside youâthe memories, the countless unanswered and unravelling questions, the sudden sense that things were fully slipping away this time.
Why? Why was she the end of his answer? What had you ever done to deserve this?
Somehow, as your heart sank deeper, it became painfully clear to youâhe wasnât coming back.
You didnât want him to, not anymore.
And so, it took everything within you to walk away, each step a battle against the ache in your chest. Turning your back on it felt like the only bit of control you had left, the only thing you could still control in a situation that was completely out of your control.

OBSESSED WITH YOU
aged up!Neteyamx aged up!human(f)!reader
Summary: In whichâŠ. Neteyam crosses paths with a human, but what is that sudden obsession with her, where did that need to protect her come from?
Word count: 3.1k
Warnings: fluff, Y/Nâs personal space is quite literally violated by Neteyam, Y/N is the first Human Neteyam has ever seen, Neteyam barely speaks/understands English, kissing, slight make out, lowkey unrealistic storyline lmao
My Masterlist <3.
What are you called? = fyape syaw fko ngar Stay calm = mawey beautiful: (of people) = sevin take it off = kÀmunge tsal I want to see = Oe new ne kame hurry up = win sÀpi nefÀ so soft = nÏftxan 'ango
I hope you enjoy! If you do, feel free to reblog, I might consider writing more parts to this :) <3
I can still remember how it happened. The day that I met Neteyam still lingers in my mind, the young NaÂŽvi boy consuming my attention at all times.
About a week ago, I can still feel the soft breeze of air flushing against my legs, I remember smelling the green plants that had just been drowned in the heavy rain the previous night. The loving light of the warm sun embraces my figure as I walk across a muddy path, trying not to step on any kind of animal. I was outside although I was not allowed to leave the lab. Secretly slipping out of the back door, the mask that is pumping oxygen into my lungs well secured on my face, as I made it my new goal to explore Pandora further.
It is a memory I cherish. The adrenaline that runs through my veins as I took one step after the other, putting as much space as possible between me and the lab.
With the feeling of well-secured safety and no one having caught me fleeing from my home, I slowed my steps, taking in my beautiful surroundings. All kinds of exotic colorful plants surround my form, my eyes darting to one and then another, trying to see everything all at once. My ragged breathing slowed down as I sprinted across the mud, my feet now slightly covered in it.
I canât help but feel joy consume me whole.
The beauty of Pandora yet again swallowed me, pulling me in. I let my feet work on their own, deciding on taking a small walk to find new interesting and unexplored corners. My fingertips glide against a pulsating bluish plant, as it vibrates against my hand in return, letting myself smile at the uncommon feeling.
This world is so alive.
It is beautiful, I hope its owners treat it well, with respect and cherish it just as I do. Although from the stories I have been told, Naâvi are very spiritual species who inhabit these forests. And now that I think of it, I have never truly seen a real Naâvi.
Dreamwalkers donât count.
Not letting my mind linger on the thought of facing a real Naâvi, I continued my exploration, It felt like mere minutes, but because it was slowly becoming darker around me it must have been at least a few hours. The only sound that reaches my ears is my breathing from behind the thin glass that is covering my entire face, and the nature that Iâm currently moving in. Deciding that I have seen enough for today and that Norm is most likely worrying about my well-being, I take a turn and walk to the path I have been walking all along and slowly but surely make my way back to the lab.
Just as I took a few steps, I heard a quiet huff and leaves moving behind a tree a few feet away from me.
Midway through me turning my head, a blue figure emerges from the bushes. There he stands. A tall male Naâvi. His stripes-covered skin glows underneath the small amount of light that is still falling on Pandora.
He is beautiful.
So beautiful the nature around me is no longer on my mind. All my focus and attention is now drawn to him as I see his fist tightening around a weapon that is firm in his right hand.
With quick movements, he is pointing an arrow at me.
âWait- Wait- Wait-â I start as his face wears an angry expression, his frown-covered face facing my direction. I can see his ears perk up at the words that left my mouth. The foreign language fills his head as he decides on killing or spearing me.
âfyape syaw fko ngar?â he hisses, flashing his fangs at me. His white teeth sparkle in the sun as he takes a big step closer to me. His sudden movement made me trip over, my backside making contact with the now slightly dried ground. Him now towering over me even more, his height is scary.
âI- Iâm sorry I donât understand you, please talk slower,â I say, trying to speak slowly, he probably doesnât understand my words. He tilts his head in confusion, his eyes widening as he takes in my form. Here I am, halfway sitting up in the slightly muddy forest of Pandora. My eyes are fixated on the Naâvi that is towering above me.
âfyape. syaw. fko. ngar?â he repeats, now trying to talk as slow as I did. His pronunciation is now much clearer, his eyes squinting close as if he can see the wheels whirring behind my eyes. This situation throws me back multiple years, remembering the Naâvi lessons we were put through at the mere age of ten. He must have said something about me. Asking about my age? No that would not add up to the situation Iâm currently in. Maybe he asked what my name is. That makes way more sense, him emerging from the forest, probably taking me in as a threat.
Slowly, I raise my hands on either side of my head a little, to show that I have no weapons on me, and donât mean any harm to anyone. At my gesture his ears stand up, their previous position flattened against his head long gone. While doing so, his curiosity must have grown, he lowers his weapon, no meaning to harm me for now. The unknown Naâvi male lowers himself into a crouching position, as he fixates his bow on his back and secures the arrow back in its holder. With me still staying put on the ground, he starts to crawl over my much smaller form to take in my face.
His expression is still confused, but the curiosity must be getting a hold of him. He slowly makes his way above me, his face getting closer to mine, I can feel his warm breath hitting my cheek, his sparkly yellow eyes boring into my own. Pupils now grown bigger and bigger with each second that passes.
âWhat are you doing?â I whisper, my questioning tone must have shown him that I asked a question. He shakes his head in a way to tell me that he has no idea what I just said, but he doesnât leave his current position, instead, heâs only inching closer to my body. His face slowly moved to the left side of my face, flattened nose touching my cheek and slowly moving down to my neck. His way of moving and actions remind me of an animal, I can feel him take a deep breath through his nose when it hits my pulse point. Itâs like heâs taking in my scent, trying to burn it into his brain to never lose the smell of me.
His actions makes a shudder run down my spine, a shaky breath leaving my mouth only now realizing that I have been holding my lungs oxygen-free for the past minute, them now aching and burning for more.
He breathes me in again, this time with eyes closed, my scent filling his nostrils. My breathing stays unsteady, his presence making my heart quicken in my chest, he seems to notice that, his eyes now fixated on my chest, watching it rise and fall again. When my eyes caught his never leaving my chest, a frown forms on my face, my mouth gaping at him and my arms moving to cover my chest. Slightly uncomfortable under his stare that is on one of my most intimate parts.
He quickly shakes his head and uses one of his three-fingered hands -that is at least twice as big as mine- to move them away, his now gained free access to my chest making him move his head closer, the side of his face making contact with me, his ear hovering above my heart. My heartbeat echoes in his head, its beating pumping hot blood through my veins. Although he does not seem to have the intention to hurt me in any way, my heart doesnât slow its fast beats. His heavy head makes contact with my chest, I can feel him resting his head completely.
He stays put for a few seconds, the sound of soft breaths leaving his nose hit my ears. My heart still hammers in my chest, continuing to reveal my unsure feelings about the moment and this stranger who is quite literally breaking the definition of personal space. He stirrers up removing his ear from my chest, now much softer yellow eyes meeting mine.
âMawey.â he whispers. His soothing voice makes it seem like a sweet gesture, the way he talks, the way his eyes move from me to my chest, no, to my heart, its like he wants to tell me to relax. The next thing that catches his attention is the oxygen mask that covers my slightly blushing face. With one of his fingers he taps against the glass, the tap rather harsh as it shoots through the glass and right to my ears echoing softly.
"Neteyam." he speaks up, the pronunciation lingering in my mind. As he speaks, he points the finger that just tapped my mask to his chest, gesturing to himself, it seems to be his way of introducing himself to me.
"Y/N." I say telling him my name. His ears perk up as my voice hits him.
"Y/NâŠ" he tries to pronounce my name just like I did, but fails miserably. I canÂŽt help myself but let a giggle slip past my lips at his terrible attempt at pronouncing my name, squinting my eyes closed in the process. He doesnÂŽt exactly laugh at my reaction, but what seems to be a small smile makes its way across Neteyams face. I like the way my name sounds when he speaks.
"Sevin." he whispers pointing at me again. His hand glides downwards to my own and he takes a look at it, his eyes fixated on my little finger. He slowly but surely wraps two of his fingers around it, completely engulfing my pinky with his. His hand is huge compared to mine. If he wanted to, he could cover my entire hand with his and nothing of my hand would be visible.
"Sevin?" I ask, questioning his last words, why did I barely pay attention when we were told simple words that are commonly used by NaÂŽvi?
"Beautiful?" he now repeats, his accent thick as he tries to translate his words.
"You mean me?" I ask a little unsure, it is not unknown in the lab that NaÂŽvi and humans donÂŽt usually interact with one another, let alone find any interest in each other. He points his finger against my chest again, still trying to get me to understand that he thinks IÂŽm pretty.
I canÂŽt help but blush at his actions, not quite used to being complimented by someone.
"YouÂŽre beautiful too" I answer, already aware of the fact that he probably doesnÂŽt understand what I just told him. So I point my finger at his chest just like he did to me and say
"Sevin."
His eyes fall to my pointer finger that is currently resting against his chest, his hands now following his eyes, a blue hand yet again engulfing my own. I feel a certain warmth spread through my chest.
Am I supposed to feel like this?
Probably not.
No, definitely not.
Then why does his presence feel so good? Why do I feel this special security with him? When his warm eyes meet mine?
His attention is now back on my face, the way he is now directly in front of me, allows me to take a closer look at his facial features. His yellow, big, cat-like eyes are pulsating with warmth and softness, his slightly flattened nose wrinkling when he senses new smell. He seems to be studying me just as I do him.
"kÀmunge tsal" he whispers, now again tapping against my oxygen mask.
Although I could not exactly translate his spoken words in my head, it must have been something about my mask. I shake my head hastily, if his intentions are about me taking it off he can forget it.
"Oe new ne kame" he urges me on, his eyes filled with curiosity and desperate pleading.
"Off," he says quickly his demanding tone fitting to his accent, his hand already finding the bottom of the mask and lifting it off of my face. His sudden actions make me gasp and quickly breathe in, to catch another wave of oxygen.
The mask is now all the way off, Neteyam places it on one of his muscular tights, but his vibrant eyes are darting across every moving muscle on my face. He studies me carefully as if he is afraid of breaking me with a grip that might be too firm for my body.
His left-hand moves to the right side of my head, the warm palm of his softly meeting me. His palm swallows half of my skull, itâs like a puzzle fitting, his piece connecting with mine. A few seconds later I have a sort of ticklish feeling against my upper thigh, his strong tail curling twice around it. The movement makes me blush, I feel my cheeks and half of my neck warming. Itâs like Neteyam is trying to be as close as possible, though I can not really tell why.
His face inches closer to mine, heâs so close again that I can feel his breath on my lips, his eyes dare to look at them for a quick moment but just as he meets them he averts his gaze again. I canât help it but copy his movement, my eyes darting down to his lips.
I can feel the atmosphere between us get turned upside down within one quick glance at his lips, a sort of tension building up.
What Iâm doing here is insane.
I should be home by now.
Just as I can feel him getting even closer, the need for oxygen is growing and growing, my lungs aching for relief. My eyes shoot down to his leg hastily grabbing the mask that my body so desperately seeks. The moment it hits my face I take a deep breath, my heart beating at a quickening speed. Neteyam groans in response his hand falling from my head, instead both of his hands land on either side of my waist. As I try to steady my breathing, he pulls my smaller form into his lap.
"win sÀpi nefÀ" he lowly whines, making my eyebrows raise in confusion at his whining. He waits a few seconds for my chest to raise at a normal speed again, his eyes boring through mine as if he is asking for permission, although I can not quite tell for what.
"Enough" he orders now quite needy ripping the mask off my face, but before I can respond in annoyance, warm lips are pressed against my very own. My eyes widen at his sudden actions, I can`t hold back the quiet unexpected sigh that sounds like a soft moan leaving my lips.
Neteyam responds eagerly, his tongue now parting my lips ready to claim my mouth, the taste of me lingering on his tastebuds, he pulls me closer by my hips, the close proximity making him groan. The kiss quickly becomes feverish and passionate as his desire for more keeps growing. His hand moves to the back of my head keeping me in place to continue his almost assault on my lips. His rough palms skim down my waist to hook around my hips, pulling me flush against his chest.
It is something I have never felt before, the adrenaline coursing through my veins making my head dizzy. Or maybe it was the lack of oxygen that was making me feel lightheaded.
I canÂŽt help but try to pull away from him, his much stronger grip on me only tightening in response, in order to gain focus again I let my fingers tangle into his braids, softly tugging his lips away from mine. Neteyam growls in protest, chasing my lips with his but I lean back and reach down to put the mask that dangles down my body back on my face. As I keep filling my lungs with air, I look up through the thing glass with heavy-lidded eyes, my chest still heaving and my heart thrumming in my chest.
Neteyam pants softly, just as breathless as I am.
Behind Neteyam I can see his tail swaying with excitement from side to side, his own heavy eyes now focused on a part of my neck. He quickly connects his lips with my neck, softly coating it with open-mouth kisses. With his other hand, he gently tugs on my hair to expose my neck to his mouth. Not caring about the noises that could slip out of my mouth, I let a soft moan leave my lips at the feeling. That seems to urge him on further, his lips traveling from my neck, to my collarbone and lastly to my pulse point. It is the place he breathed me in earlier, he growls at the memory, lips quickly working at sucking on my delicate skin.
I close my eyes at the feeling of his soft but rough lips as they work against my sensitive skin, my mouth slightly agape at the pleasure that is shooting through every inch of my body.
"nĂŹftxan 'ango" the NaÂŽvi male moans against my neck, at the sound of a twig breaking somewhere in the distance, Neteyam quickly breaks away from my sensitive skin. His tail tightened around my thigh in a protective manner.
"Come" he hushes at me, now raising to his feet and full height, With one swift movement he claims my wrist in his hand sneaking around it in a soft grip. He pulls me up in no time as if I weigh nothing to him. I can feel myself hovering over the ground for a split second before he lets go of my wrist now fully placing me back on the ground I was laying on only minutes ago.

golden locks // Neteyam x twin sister reader
Summery: born blonde in a dark haired world
Warnings: bullying, insecurities,
Age: 15
Place/area: pandora, metkeyina clan
Pairings: Slight jake sully x daughter reader // neteyam x twin reader // loak x older sister reader
A/N: idk just thought this would be cool. And this is probably so crap I'm literally writing this half asleep
đË~ËđąÖŽà» âĄ*°âđ§â§Ë.ââđŠą+*°âĄ+
You emit a sigh as you sat on a dock with your legs dangling off the edge. Your ears perking up as they heard footsteps approaching you.
Jake sat down beside you, dipping his feet into the water as well.
You flashed him a smile and spoke "hi dad"
"Hey babygirl" he replied with a slight chuckle "how are you sweetheart?"
"Fine" you replied sweetly. He patted your back and rose to his feet. He walked you to your marui so you and your family could sleep.
----------------------
You awoke to your younger brother loak roughly shaking you awake
"Y/n! Y/n! Come on!" He groaned while smaking you with a pillow. You whined and put the pillow over your head, and loak just tore it off.
"Bro what?!" You shouted at him sleepily while he dragged you up by your hand
"Nothing i just wanted to annoy you" loak replied, running off so you wouldn't murder him
"brat!" You yelled in the direction he ran in. You started your morning after sulking for a moment
--------------------
As you finally finished your chores, duties, ect, you plopped down on the sand to allow your body to rest
But this moment of peace didn't last long. You began to hear snickering behind you. You turned toward the sound to find aonung and a few other boys standing there
Aonung still had a bruise from the fight with your brothers last week
"Guess you do fit in here" aonung spoke with a chuckle "with the sand"
you sighed and stood. Spinning on your heel to walk away from these bullys.
Though, they kept teasing you.
Usually you didn't let it get to you. But this time felt...off
You felt tears sting your eyes when one of them pulled your hair. They let go soon after
You spun around and hissed at the boy. "Ooh im so scared" said the boy
You looked around to see if anyone you knew was around, which there was not.
One of the boys mothers called out for him and they all snarled. You let out a sigh of relief when they sprinted away from you
You walked toward a tree, your back pressing up against the rough bark. You slid down to sit on your knees.
You lightly played with the sand beneath you. You heard more footsteps behind you the moment your soft hands cluched a fistfull of sand. Instead of a bully, it was only your twin.
"Hey teyam..." you spoke to him in a dull tone
"What is it, sister?" He sat beside you, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Nothing."
"Dont give me that. I wont hesitate to get dad into this." He hissed. "Jeez i sound like loak..."
You chuckled sadly at his amusing realization. You looked back down at your knees, the Bioluminescent freckles dotted carefully along your legs in a wavy path from your hips, all the way to your ankles.
Neteyam placed two fingers under your chin, his thumb in a light grip just above. He lifted your head and gently turned you to him
"Aonung?"
"Aonung..." you whisper while nodding your head in small movements. Your twin pulled you to his chest in a tight embrace.
"Dont worry, its ok. Loak will handle them" you giggled at the image of your baby bro beating another guy to a pulp for you. Again.
Neteyam brushed some of your hair behind your ear. Running his delicate fingers through it gently.
He pulled you back toward him, with your eyes closed you felt the soft skin of his forehead meet yours.
You let out a small sigh before completely melting in your best friends arms. Your own arms wrapping around his waist and your head resting against his chest.
With every beat of his heart, with every breath he took, every stroke of his fingers running through your beautiful hair, you felt loved. Special. And that your bullys didn't matter.

Chapter 1: The Birth of Y/n.
Masterlist
Previous: [prologue]
Summary:Despite leaving their homeland, Y/n holds onto her mother's values. However, tragedy strikes with Neteyam's death, shattering Y/n's innocence and sparking a raging fury within her, forever changing her carefree spirit

But the most dangerous thing about Pandora, is that you may grow to love her too much. We sing the songcords to remember. Each bead, a story in our life. A bead for the birth of our son, Neteyam. A bead for when we adopted our daughter, Kiri. Born of Grace's avatar. A daughter whose conception is a total mystery. A bead for the first communion with Eywa.
The people say, "We live in Eywa, and Eywa lives in us." The great mother holds all her children in her heart.
Neytiri POV
"Breathe ma'ite. You are almost there." Mo'at says as she kneels on the woven mat next to me, her presence strong and encouraging. The fire lit near us flickering across her face, her golden eyes fierce yet tender as she presses a firm hand against my belly, guiding me with her knowledge.
Jake is beside me, his hands gripping mine, his breath uneven, whispering reassuring words in between my groans that escape my lips.
"I'm right here. I've got you."
The elder women of the clan surround us, their voices a gentle hum, their hands soothing against my skin. They've all done this before-- brought life into this before, felt the same fire. I am not alone.
The pain does not care about my thoughts. It consumes me, raw and unyielding as my body trembles. A guttural cry rips from my throat then--
A cry.
High and piercing, fragile and alive.
My chest heaves as I collapse back against Jake, my body shaking, exhausted-- but my heart races for a different reason now. The world slows, my ears ring. Suddenly Mo'at lifts her up so I could see her.
Tiny. Blue and soft. The room goes still as she takes her first breath, her small cries filling the kelku around us like a song.
Mo'at brings her toward my arms, my body moves before my mind can catch up. My hands, still trembling reach for her, pulling her close to my chest. ma'Y/n. My daughter.
"ma'ite..." I whisper as I tune out everyone else and put all my focus on Y/n. Breathing in her scent.
I press my lips to her damp forehead, my tears mixing with the warmth of her skin. She nuzzles into me, her tiny face pressing against my collarbone, her breathing uneven but there. I stare down at her-- the curve of her nose, the shape of her lips, the softness of her ears. She is mine. She is me.
Beside me, Jake lets out a shaky breath, his eyes wide, mouth slightly parted in awe. His hands tremble as they trace the side of her little face. "She's perfect," he whispers, voice raw thick with emotion. Something that the Olo'eyktan doesn't show often.
Then I see it. Her fingers curl against my skin- four small, perfect fingers. Four toes.
Like me.
Like Neteyam.
Tears blur my vision as I cradle her closer, pressing my forehead to hers. She whimpers, her little body shifting in my arms, searching for warmth. My heart swells so much I fear it may burst.
"Oel ngati kameie." I whisper, my voice cracking as I see her-- not just with my eyes, but with my soul.
She stirs, pressing her tiny nose against my skin, nuzzling into me as if she already knows. As though Eywa brought me a a friend that I've known for my whole life.
I laugh-- soft, breathless, overwhelmed with love.
Jake presses a kiss to my temple, his hand cradling both me and our daughter. The warmth of the room, the voices of the people, the heartbeat of the world around us, it all fades. In this moment, it is just us.
Just me and ma'Y/n.
The flap of the kelku rustles and I hear the patter of small feet.
"Sa'nok! Is she here?" Neteyam's voice is high and excited, filled with energy only a five year old can have.
I lift my head as my eldest son runs in, his eyes wide with wonder. Behind him, Kiri and Lo'ak stumble in, their little faces filled with curiosity.
"Come," Mo'at beckons softly, as I shift Y/n in my arms.
Neteyam reaches me first, his big golden eyes locked onto the tiny bundle in my arms. He crouches besides me, his small fingers reaching out hesitantly as he whispers.
"She looks just like you, sa'nok," he said smiling at me, tracing his finger over her cheek. His tail flicking behind him, his ears twitching with excitement.
Kiri steps closer, peering over my arm, her little hands clasp together. "She is so small... like Lo'ak." she whispers with a small as Lo'ak lets out a annoyed huff. Then her eyes flick to Y/n's hands, and her brows furrow. "She has four fingers too, like you and 'Teyam."
Lo'ak curiously squeezes in between them, peering at his new sister. "Why does she have four fingers, but me and Kiri has five?" he asks inoccently tilting his head. "Is she like sempu?"
Jake chuckles from beside me, ruffling Lo'ak's braids. "You and Kiri are like me, and Neteyam and Y/n are like your sa'nok.
Neteyam beams with pride, puffing out his tiny chest, "That means she's like me!" He grins, looking down at Y/n with even more excitement. "She's my tsmukU!"
I watch as my children take turns touching Y/n's tiny hands, whispering soft greeting to her, welcoming her into our world. My heart swells at the sight-- my family, all together, surrounding this little life Eywa has blessed us with.
Kiri rests her head against my arm, staring at her new sister with quiet admiration. "She looks just like you, sa'nok." she murmurs, her voice soft with wonder. "She has your face."
I smile, brushing my fingers over Y/n's cheek. "She is a gift from Eywa."
Lo'ak giggles suddenly, leaning in close to his sister. "She's so tiny!" He pokes at her little toes, making her stir slightly in my arms. "I think she likes me already."
Neteyam huffs, crossing his arms. "She likes me more." he insists, his tail flicking as he stares down at her protectively. "I will always protect her."
My heart clenches at the twos words, at the love in their young voices.
"She will need all of you," I say gently, looking at each of my children. "She will need her brothers and her sister. You must always be there for her, always keep her safe."
Jake reaches over, wrapping an arm around all of them. "We will." he says, "She is a Sully. Sully's stick together."
My eyes fall to Y/n, still pressed against my chest, her small body rising and falling with each breath. She is so peaceful, so perfect. A gift from Eywa herself.
"Ma'ite," I whisper. "You are home."

can you write neteyam and human reader youâre exploring in the forest and ends up losing you and when he finds you after searching for a long time youâre actually having so much fun gathering things and running around and itâs all cute and protective! ^.^
i looove nete n human reader itâs my weakness ⊠i hope u like this!!!
ânete! câmon!â you call out to your boyfriend as you run amongst the trees. you giggle as you leap over a fallen log in one fluid motion, somehow landing on your feet over the other side.
âhey!â your boyfriends accented voice cackles from behind you, but your feet refuse to relent. obviously, if he really wanted to catch up to you, he would. his long legs give him the advantage. your head dodges branches, and vines, and your legs hop over rocks as you sprint through the foliage.
something bright catches your eyes next to your swift feet, stopping you in your tracks. youâre finally able to take a deep breath as you slowly backtrack. right at the base of a tree trunk, three bright pink flowers sit buried in the dirt, rustling slightly in the wind.
a fwÀkÏwll; a mantis orchid.
the huffing and puffing boy catches up to you, his usual unruly braids are secured behind his head. with two that mustâve escaped that frame his face perfectly, âyouâre nuts, you know that?â he laughs breathlessly.
âlook!â you bend down to examine the flora, admiring the softness of the petals, âoh my, itâs so beautiful.â
neteyam canât help but giggle at how you gawk over a simple little plant. something heâll never understand, but he will always appreciate your fascination.
your hands reach into the small bag slung across your body to pull out a notebook, flipping to an empty page to sketch a rough draft of the flowers.
his large four-fingered hand rests on the top of your head to softly rustle your hair, pressing his fingers into your skin to slightly massage your scalp. your head angles up to look at him, smiling wide at your boy before stuffing your head back into your book.
your pencil scratches satisfyingly against the lined paper; instinctively bringing your lip between your teeth as you focus.
âiâll be right back, okay? stay here, my love.â neteyam pats your head as you nod, but truly his words went in one ear and out the other. it was something about him leaving, but your attention is taken up by the flower.
once you have a few key points labeled on your little picture, you finally close the book. your eyes dart around to seek out the blue skin of your naâvi boyfriend, but something else catches your eye.
behind a wide tree trunk in the distance, you see the edge of a plant. the loreyu; also known as the helicoradian!! you excitedly spring to your feet, and creep toward the giant plant. ducking under thick vines and swatting at buzzing bugs.
on the way there, you stumble upon a small stream that has glittering rocks and gems under the water. obviously, you canât help but snag a few and store them in your bagâ but you canât let yourself get too off track, so you continue forward.
the salmon-colored spiraled plant is almost twenty feet high, which is ginormous compared to your tiny human body. as you grow closer, you realize the one loreyu is surrounded by clusters of smaller and even bigger ones.
âoh my god.â you breathe out in shock as you carefully weave between the helicoradia; already having the knowledge that if theyâre merely brushed against, theyâll retract into the ground.
you mindfully sink to your knees, folding your legs underneath your body as you lean back on your heels. you unlatch the notebook from being pressed against your chest, flipping through the used pages to find the one youâre looking for.
youâve already observed this plant elsewhere in the forest, so theres a few notes and drawings written down already. you decide to perfect the previous drawing you have in the middle of your page, even sketching a close-up of the edge of the leaf.
you tuck your pencil into the crease of the book before closing it and sliding it back into the safety of your bag. you glance up into the sky, but you can barely make out the blue color from the plants that tower over you.
itâs so serene and peaceful; youâre hidden amongst these intimidating plants that are five times the size of you. it seems like nothing could ever hurt you, as if youâre shielded from the unforgiving environment of pandora.
you carefully lay down against the grassy soil. once your back hits the warm ground, you suck in a deep breathâ mentally wishing you could breathe their air to be able to smell the fresh dirt.
although the oxygen mask is your key to survive, itâs also so suffocating. one of the biggest problems it gives you is that youâre unable to kiss neteyam whenever you want. only able to get inside the privacy of your room in the scientists shack, but even he needs his own mask.
wait, neteyam. where is neteyam?!
you abruptly sit up in your spot, suddenly feeling as if youâre claustrophobic from the menancing plants that surround you in every which way. oh god, youâre gonna throw up. your feet scramble to stand as you panic, causing your shoulder to brush against the tendrils of the plant.
with a pop, it sucks itself into the ground. the movement creates a chain reaction that triggers the entire field to recoil into the dirt. you watch as each plant disappears, waiting until the area clears entirely. everything around you looks the same, and absolutely nothing looks familiar.
something firm grasps your upper body from behind, strongly spinning you around to face them.
your frozen expression is met with wide, worried eyes that belong to neteyam, âwhat are you doing?!? where were you?â he lectures as arms tug you tightly into his chest. he briefly embraces you before pulling away just as fast to stare back down at you.
âi told you to stay where you were! why did you walk away?â his voice cracks from his raw emotion, his honey-colored eyes dart frantically over your face.
âiâmâiâm sorry, i- i didnât realize i walked so far away⊠i was just taking notes and⊠drawing.â your voice stumbles over itself.
his shoulders drop slightly from your anxious voice, his eyes watch how your quickened breath slightly fogs the glass of your mask.
coldness washes over his body when he realizes just how harsh he sounds and the points of his ears droop from his realization, âyou scared me. i thought i lost you.â his sharp voice has softened and his tight grip loosens on your shoulders.
you take a step forward to stand in between his feet to wrap yourself around his body, smooshing yourself into the warm skin just above his navel. âiâm sorry i wonât do it again.â you whimper out, your apology slightly muffled.
his hand soothingly cradles the back of your head as he holds you against him, âdonât be sorry.â he tsks, âitâs my fault. i shouldnât have left you.â
your head angles up to gaze at him, giving him a soft downturned smile, âwell, i shouldâve listened to what you were saying.â
âsâokay. youâre with me now, thatâs all that matters.â his fingers toy with the elastic band of your oxygen mask, itching to rip it off and kiss you; but he knows that he canât.
âoh! i uh- i found some crystals! i think you can use them for your clothing and your hair beads, ân stuff.. do you wanna see?â your hand wiggles your bag persuadingly with an excited grin.
neteyam stares down at you in awe and nods his head, ââcourse i wanna see, ma yawntu. show me.â he nudges his nose in the air for you to continue.
your hands rummage through the weaved sack on your hip, pushing past your notebook to the little bag at the bottom filled with the rocks. you pluck it out to dump the contents into your palm, admiring how the multi-colored crystals sparkle under the sunlight.
âthose are perfect. i must make you some jewelry out of them.â his eyes brighten from the idea, âwhat would you like? a necklace or somethinâ else?â one of his fingertips roll the rocks in your palm to examine them, careful not to push them off into the grass.
âreally? youâre gonna make me something?â your voice sounds surprised, which is shocking to him. of course, he is going to make you something; youâre his mate, his muntxate.
when he first courted you, he gifted you a handmade bracelet â which youâre currently still wearing and have no plans to take it off, and the weaved bag that never leaves your side.
âyes, for you, silly. who else would i make jewelry for?â neteyam rolls his eyes at you playfully, a sneaky smirk crawling itâs way onto his lips.
your eyes flit over his face, still surprised, even after all this time, that youâve bagged yourself a tall, gorgeous, blue alien. something comes over your body, a sudden rush of adrenaline as you suck in a deep breath of your oxygen to hold your breath.
confusion twists over neteyams features as your hand grips the lower part of your mask to push it over the top of your head, âwhat are you-?â his question is cut off by your hands reaching up to grip the edge of his waist adornment to tug him down to you.
he happily obliges with a pearly grin, ducking his head down to your height to urgently pull you into a kiss. you smile when his lips move against yours and his hand presses into the small of your back to lean your body slightly backwards.
even though kissing him is a rare occasion in itself, it still feels like the first timeâ every. single. time.
his tail curls around his back to wrap around your upper thigh to hold your body in place, as if his hands arenât strong enough to do so by themselves.
neteyam reluctantly pulls back, staring down to admire your beauty without something separating him from you. his hand sits heavy on your neck with his fingers curled up under your jaw. his thumb swipes down the bridge of your nose, and over your plump lips before pulling the mask back over your face.
your human features are so soft, and delicate; he canât help but touch you without your mask whenever he gets the chance.
once the mask is firmly fitted over your face you suck in, a definitely needed, sharp breath. your chest expands as your lungs inhale the air, giving neteyam a small sad smile. âi love you.â you whisper once youâre finally able to talk.
neteyamâs face lights up from those three words, his lanky arms wrap around your tiny frame to lift you into the air to his height. itâs nothing new to express your love to each other, but whenever he hears those words it feels surreal to him.
the sudden change in height makes you squeal, and wrap your arms around his neck for support, âi love you.â he replies and presses his forehead to the glass, which you instantly lean forward into.
âletâs head back to camp. we can get some food, and just hide in your room and do nothing for the rest of the day?â he offers as he lowers you back down to the ground.
when your feet hit the softness of the grass, your hand reaches out to grab his. neteyamâs fingers practically engulf yours, so you decide to hold onto him the best you can.
âsounds like the best idea youâve had all day.â your voice hums with a content grin.
neteyam gives you a little nod, before looking around to see which way he should go. he begins to walk to lead you back to his ikran, mindful to go slow since his legs are much longer than yours.
but not without his tail wrapping protectively around your leg. this time, heâll make sure you wonât stray away from his side, not even a little bit...

Tilayro
It is now or never. She can't handle another day for as long as he is around. Quickly and silently tilayro packs only the basics that she needs. Making sure she doesn't alert anyone in her home. She hopes that one day, her family will forgive for what she was about to do. May Eywa forgive her.Â
Guilt threatens to rise up at the back of her throat, tilayro quickly shakes her head, no, now is not the time to doubt or have second thoughts. She will never have another chance like now.Â
Making sure she has everything, taking one last look at her home, tilayro leaves. Running down the beach to where her skimwing is, quickly connecting with her dear friend, tilayro leaves. Making the daring move to leave the borders. Leaving her home and all that she ever knew. But this had to be done. Tilayro would rather do anything else than be forced to mate with a man who will never see her as she is.Â
Neteyam slowly wakes up, letting his eyes adjust to the light in his home. Letting out a yawn, he gets up silently, as much as he could. His arm was tugged by his beloved mate who still sleeps soundly beside him. It truly never gets old, waking up and the first thing he sees is the love of his life. How did neteyam get so lucky? He thanks Eywa every day for having his beloved by his side.Â
âMmnnâŠstayâŠâ he hears her whisper, reaching out to grab his other arm.Â
Neteyam chuckles, how can he resist her?Â
He lays down once again as she gets closer to his warmth. Taking in her scent, neteyam lets himself be wrapped around with her arms. Its still early. He can attend his duties a little later.Â
Tonowari and his family along with a few clan members were getting ready for their long trip to the forest. Tsireya was pretty excited to meet a whole different clan and explore areas she never thought she would see. Ronal kept neutral of it, but tonowari can tell she looks forward to it. Aoânung seems to rather stay and leave.Â
âWhy must I go? It has nothing to do with meâ aoânung complains for the hundredth time. Tonowari sighs for the hundredth time that day.Â
âIt has everything to do with you. You are the clan's future oloâeyktan, as well as tsireya being the future tsahik, so you have no option but to come as wellâ tonowari explains. Aoânung just sighs and packs whatever he needs to pack.Â
âNo option, it seemed she did,â he muttered.Â
Tonowari quickly turned to face his son again, âaoânung, I know it still bothers you but its been 2 years now, your mother will look for a better match for youâÂ
âBetter match, there will be no other like her and she is gone, a coward she wasâ aoânung said with spite and hate in his voice.Â
He still hasnt gotten over it. Still hurt from what the girl did. Tonowari understands his son.Â
His betrothed ran away before they were able to be one.Â
âThats it, keep moving your legs to stay afloat. Tuk dont stop moving your armsâ tilayro was swimming at a remote lake with some small naâvi children. Teaching them the basics of swimming, along with tuk who is her best student in the group.Â
Seeing the position of the sun, it was time to end the lessons.Â
âAlright everyone, lets get you all to the edge, come on come onâ she tells while gently guiding them back on land. She makes sure they are all dry and drops them off to their families when they reach the village. Tilayro likes teaching the children how to swim, its part of her since birth.Â
âTil!â tuk jumps up and down as she holds her hand making their way to the sully home.Â
âAre you excited?? Aren't you arent you?â tuk asks rather excitedly.Â
Tilayro giggles, âyes Im excited, its not everyday we meet a whole new clanâÂ
Weeks back Jake and moâat announced they will be expanding their alliances to other regions of pandora. One of the first clans they managed to get in touch with is a reef clan. Its specific name has not reached tilayroâs ears yet but was given the position to assist when the clan arrives. Teach them how to adjust in the forest climate and environment.Â
âMaybe you will see your family again?â tuk asks, imagining seeing more of tilayroâs people.Â
âWho knows?â she responded, but secretly, she wishes she would never see anyone from the metkayina clan ever again.
Few days have passed and everyone in the clan prepares to welcome the coming clan that will hopefully be a new ally to the omatikaya.Â
Neteyam, being stressed out of his mind, is forgetting things all over their home.Â
âThe feathers, where are they??â he mutters to himself.Â
âRight here my loveâ tilayro giggles lightly as she places the elegant feathers in his braided hair. She makes sure he looks presentable, first impressions are everything. Checking every detail is good and perfect. Her love is perfect. Truly embodied that of a warrior.Â
âDon't be so nervous maânete, everything will be alright. If eywa allows it, all will be wellâ she says to comfort neteyam. He sighs deeply, bringing her hands up to his face. Her teal blue skin met his dark blue. A stark contrast in shades but when together, they blend beautifully.Â
Neteyam stays silent, just feeling her hands bring great relief.Â
He moves a bit to wrap his arms around her, holding her tight. Stroking her hair, smelling more of her natural salty sea scent mixed with that of her favorite fruit, all his anxiety washes away. Only bliss and relief takes over his heart.Â
âPlease stay beside me, I need you thereâ he begs.Â
Tilayro smiles, âof course, I will always be there for youâÂ
Calls echoed throughout the forest, alarms and signals were being given. The reef clan has arrived and are being guided towards the omatikaya village. Jake, Neytiri and moâat were at the border to welcome the reef clan.Â
Greeting each other, Tonowari smiles, feeling very privileged and honored to stand before the legend himself. His family greeting the same, all a bit nervous as they are clearly out of their comfort zone.Â
âToruk makto, it is a great honor to meet youâ tonowari says.Â
Jake pats him on the shoulder, âjake is fine, it is also an honor to meet you face to faceâÂ
Pleasantries were said, aoânung trying his best to look like an adult to his family and the oloâeyktan.Â
Moâat guided them into the village, many omatikaya were very welcoming and gave gifts to the reef naâvi. They all felt welcomed and easily enjoyed this whole new side of pandora they never seen.Â
Aoânung especially.Â
The forest is beautiful, the village even more. Animals he has never seen or heard of were there right before his eyes. How the people behave and look, their style is so different. He was starting to enjoy it. Until he wasn't.Â
âHello, my name is neteyam. This is my mate, tilayroâ
She promised she would be by neteyamâs side. Always. But at this moment, she wanted to run away and hide in the darkest cave the forest has.Â
She has to be dreaming, this isnt real!Â
Aoânung was standing before her, being shocked as much as she was.Â
âYourâŠmateâŠ?â he asks very silently.Â
Tilayro can feel her heart pounding against her chest, its drumming rhythm going against her ears. Sweat started to form from her forehead. She can pass out at any moment.Â
âYes, we have been together for 2 years nowâÂ
OH how tilayor wishes for neteyam to stop talking right now. He is giving more fuel to aoânung without even knowing.Â
Even he seems to be confused by the sudden change of the boy in front of him.Â
Until suddenly, aoânungâs teal blue eyes stared straight into tilayroâs eyes. Feeling cold chills run down her spin. He is angry, very angry. Feeling his anger rise, she needed to say something, anything!Â
âSo this is where you have been this whole timeâŠâ was all he said before punches were being thrown.
A huge crowd was forming in the middle of the village, tonowari, ronal, moâat, jake and neytiri had to stop what they were doing to see what was going on.Â
To tonowari and ronalâs horror, they see their son aoânung fighting with the oloâeyktans son, neteyam.Â
âHey hey hey!â jake called out. He and tonowari quickly get through the crowd and towards their own sons. Both of them were a bloody mess. Neytiri notices tilayro and tsireya crying in distress of what they witnessed. Kiri was there to comfort them both but neytiri still heads over to make sure they are ok.Â
âWhat happened?!â tonowari demanded to know from aoânung.Â
His son had a bloody nose, scratches on his shoulders and a black eye forming already. But his words seemed to fall on deaf ears as aoânung was ready to pounce on neteyam again.Â
Neteyam in return looked ready for round two until tilayro got in their way.Â
âYou!! You mated with him?!â aoânung shouted, accusing her like she did a heinous act.Â
Tilayro was shaking but stood her ground, protecting neteyam.Â
âI did! We mated before Eywa! It is done and there is nothing you can do about it!âÂ
Aoânung can only stare at her, as thought she betrayed him in the worst way possible. He couldn't form any more words once she said it.Â
âOh shitâŠâ was what came out of kiriâs mouth, quickly piecing together what is happening.Â
Jake, while still holding neteyam back, stared at neytiri who understood what he was feeling.Â
[I'm getting a sense of major deja vu right now] he thought.
Within the massive tent that had the leaders inside including neteyam, aoânung and tilayro inside, no one was happy with what occurred. It was a serious situation that could tear what little could be salvaged between the omatikaya and the metkayina.Â
While tonowari is furious with his son, same with ronal, both were beyond shocked to see tilayro living among the forest naâvi. And mated no less. That in itself brought more confusion.Â
âStart talking boy, I want a clear honest answerâ jake demanded. He was in no mood for humor or light hearted jabs. Kid or not, someone threatened his son, and to an extension, his daughter in law.Â
Aoânung looked down at his hands, feeling shamed for what he did. Letting his emotions get to him, but just seeing tilayro brought a wave of new found anger he thought he could never with hold.Â
âForgive me sir, I let my mind be shrouded in emotions. I should have never beatin your son and cause a gap between our clansâ aoânung says.Â
Jake was not satisfied.Â
âLet me be more clear, I want an explanation, not an apology. Why did you attack me son?âÂ
Tonowari and ronal shared a look of concern, yes what their son did was horrible but they fear what punishment the oloâeyktan would do once aoânung confesses.Â
âTilayroâŠâ aoânung begins to say. Remembering his short time with her back at his home.Â
âWhen your son said tilayro is his mate, I lost all control. I grew mad, angry and jealous. I shouldn't, but I did. Not liking it, I punched your son out of my own selfishness. I am sorry. I will accept any punishment you will give meâÂ
Neytiri leaned forward a bit, âwhat is tilayro to you?â she asks.
âWe were arranged to mate,â tilayro starts to say.Â
She and neteyam were back at the comfort and safety of their home. She does her best to heal his wounds while making sure to not inflict anymore pain.Â
âMy family and his believed it would be good if I and aoânung were to be together. He was already chosen to be the metkayinaâs next oloâeyktan. He just needed a tsahik. I was unfortunately the oneâÂ
Neteyam didn't speak, letting her say what happened 2 years ago.Â
He remembers exactly the day he met her. She was lost, had no knowledge of the forest and was scared of everything. Tilayro clearly stood out for how her body was different from the forest naâvi. Wider arms and lets, a thicker tail.Â
He remembers helping her adjust, remembers being close to her, remembers how he fell in love with the mysterious aquatic naâvi.Â
âFor how long were you arrangedâŠâ he asks softly.Â
âHmmâŠfor a long while. I thought it would work. That I could be a good wife and a good tsahik to our clan. I was foolish. They had us spend more time together. In a way I was glad, because I was able to aoânungâs true sideâÂ
Neteyam observes his mateâs expressions closely, her eyes filled with sadness and her body movement slow and not really concentrated.Â
âWhat was he like?âÂ
Just from beating the shit out of that fish boy, neteyam concluded that aoânung currently is still a child who has no control of his emotions. Still holding some grudge and won't let go of things no matter how long ago it was.Â
âSelfish. A brute, always wanting to be praised and having his ego strokedâ tilayro lists as she rolls her eyes.Â
Neteyam slightly smirked, âisn't that what you do with-âÂ
âI'm still talkingâÂ
âYes maâamâÂ
âHe always took me somewhere that mostly had his bunch of friends. Really I think those friends only hung around with aoânung simply because he is tonowariâs son. He always showed off to me, to an extent its fine. But he did it way too much. And it was all about him, for him, to him. He never had a moment to spare for me. Never properly courted me. So I came to the conclusion that we aren't fit. I could not for the life of me spend my life with someone like himâŠso IâŠ.leftâÂ
A tear fell from her face, âI left one night and never looked back. But I don't regret it. If I hadnlt leftâŠI wouldn't have met youâÂ
Neteyam brought tilayro closer and gave her a loving kiss on her sweet lips.Â
âIm glad you did. You are the best thing to ever happen to me and I think Eywa every day for thatâ he says.Â
They shared a few more kisses before he picked her up and spun her around. Laughter filled the air once more.Â
A few days later the metkyaina packed their stuff to head back to their home. What happened tarnished what was supposed to changed their lives for the better. Aoânung felt ashamed. He did throw the first punch. Now he must deal with the consequences.Â
But seeing tilayro, even from a distance, is panged his heart.Â
He wasnt good to her, he knows that now. But aoânung secretly did care for tilayro. How he showed it wasnt the best. Look where it lead to now. But he couldnt leave without saying anything to her. It was no or never.Â
âWhere are you going?â ronal asks her son, seeing him make his way to neteyam and tilayro. She panics, thinking what worse can her son do.Â
That omatikaya warriors were quick to stand in front of the couple, not letting aonung get close.Â
âPlease, I wish to say something. I promise to not cause anymore harmâ he pleads.Â
IT was a long minute before neteyam hesitantly agreed.Â
Aoânung slowly gets closer to the couple, he bows his head.Â
âIm sorry for punching you. It was not my place to say terrible things and much less hurting you. I know I ruined everything and I will work on improving myselfâ he says.Â
Neteyam didnt say anything, only a mere hum.Â
Then aoânung turned to tilayro who was showing fear in her eyes.Â
âIm sorryâŠfor everything. I know I didn't do a lot to show I was good for you. That I hardly put any attention on you like you deserveâŠI did and still do care for you tilayro. Im sorry I never showed it until it was too lateâÂ
Tilayro can feel the genuine honesty coming from him, he was messing with her. He was being truthful, which is something she thought she would never see from aoânung.Â
âPlease, treat her well. Tilayro is a good person, too good even for meâÂ
Aoânung and neteyam shake hands, âthank youâ he spoke.Â
One last looked was shared before aoânung left to join his clan. Not looking back, aoânung and the metkayina begin their journey back home. The omatikaya looked after them.Â
Neteyam wraps his arm around tilayro, wanting to feel her skin touching his.Â
âHe is right, you are a good person my love. A good woman, a good mate. Even I must confess, I am glad he wasn't the one for youâÂ
Tilayro releases a light giggle, placing her head on his chest.Â
âYou will always be the one for me neteyamâÂ
Choosing what she wants and how she wants, tilayro knows that is the best feeling. Having the freedom to whom to love and be genuin.Â
Aaaaaaand that was it for this one! I hope you all liked it! Until next time! See ya!
---------

aonung " babas had asked us to collect some things for them and we said yes, but we couldn't agree on the right things to get mama"
y/n " okay what did they ask for you all to give them"
tsireya " shells, broken coral, some pearls, and few other things"
y/n " okay and did you bring that stuff home"
aonung " yes but not that much and now babas will be mad at us, and mad with me as I'm the oldest and I should do better"
y/n " oh my aonung you have done well my son all of you have done well"
rotxo " thank you mama"
tsireya " yes thank you mama"

aonung " yes baba we brought home what we got today"
tsireya " yes did it a mixture of many things as you have asked"
rotox " we worked together as well"
ronol " oh show us what you brought home" the kids soon showed their fathers what they brought home, as it was something they were not expecting.
tonowari " well kids this si a good haul"
ronol " yes you all had done a good job"
aonung " really"
tonowari " yes"
y/n " see my children there was nothing to worry about at all" the kids had smiled brightly being so proud of themselves at the moment.
aonung " come on let go play and tsireya and pick the game"
tsireya " really" aonung had nodded his head as the kids had taken off leaving you with your mates.
tonowari " they got into a fighting didn't they"
y/n " I don't know what you are talking about my kids are good"
ronol " that one way to explain them as they are copies of you, there no lying there"
y/n " what was that my dear husband"
ronol " oh nothing just myself tell you how much I love and adore you"
y/n " nice try handsome but I heard you as I recall our children, are much like their fathers"
tonowari and ronol " ......."
y/n " I take the silence as I have won the debate here and next time, you both decide to leave home without word we are going to have a nice and long conversation"
tonowari " yes ma y/n"
y/n " good" you soon noted your head as you soon started walking away to go check on the kids, as they watch you walk away they had leaned the hard way you were the boss. When you told them anything you are true to your word, and they didn't mind that all all. That what them and many others had to get use to when they settled down with a dreamwalker.

AVATAR MASTERLIST | Part 1 | Part 2
If there was one thing Neytiri was sure of when she decided to accept little Y/N into her family, it was the offensive comments. The discriminating looks they would give her and her baby. She could receive all kinds of insults and mistreatment. But her little Y/N? oh no, not her. Her little bean shouldn't be treated like that. So she became much more protective of her baby. Neytiri knew she couldn't have you locked up all your life in the hut. That she and Jake wouldn't be around you all the time, even your siblings. Neytiri knew she had to let you grow up, but she was very afraid.
The day was pretty quiet, lo'ak and kiri were taking their midday nap, while little Y/N was playing with her father. Jake was lying on the floor, while Y/N was combing his hair and cuddling him. Meanwhile neytiri was finishing weaving a foot bracelet for her children. Neytiri was giggling at the scene ahead of her. Jake was almost asleep, while y/n's little hands were trying to climb up and move his father's head to the other side. Jake said it was "spa day for daddy," but he was taking it very seriously. "daddy you have a big head" says y/n, now using his feet to move jake's head. He laughs, and stands stiller. "You're the big head" jake jokes, moving his hands up from his head to hold the little girl. Pulling her up into the air, hearing her laugh. Now laying her on his chest, cuddling her and giving her lots of kisses. Neytiri feels so in love, at times like this she is glad and thankful that jake is her partner and father of her children. He is such a great father.
"Y/N!!!" Neteyam's voice is heard from afar, running into the hut. The boy had gone out to play with some friends. He ran as fast as he could to his little sister. "You have to come with me, I found the perfect place to play" says neteyam, wrapping his arms around y/n's chest. Lifting her into the air. "Hey easy warriorâŠremember your sister is smaller" says jake, taking y/n in his hands to put her on the ground. Little y/n didn't care about any of these actions, for her it was all a game.
"Neteyam what's wrong?" asks neytiri, watching as her eldest son runs to her. "MomâŠI found a really nice place to play and practice with y/n. She can go with me, right?" asks the boy, excited. Neytiri is silent, giving jake a quick glance. He lifts his shoulders, waiting for his partner's decision. Y/n was 6 years old, and barely out of the hut. But what worried her most was the behavior of some of the clan members. Many accepted the human as part of the clan. But many rejected her presence. "Mom please!!!" the little girl is at her brother's side. Jumping up and down with excitement, while neytiri thought of what to say. "My loveâŠwhy don't you play here near the hut, where you always play?" speaks neytiri, neteyam pouts.
After several minutes of begging, Neytiri agreed to let the two children go out to play. Neytiri felt as if her heart wanted to go out, she was getting nervous. Watching as both children ran out of the hut, "teyamâŠtake care of your sister!!!" shouts neytiri. Jake walks up to her, sitting behind her. Hugging her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist. "My love⊠she'll be fine, she's just going to play. It's okay" jake speaks, wrapping his arms around neytiri more. He knew what neytiri was like with y/n. Jake was still surprised⊠when neytiri brought a human baby to care for him, then wanted to adopt her. And now she cared for y/n more than she cared for herself. He didn't know what y/n had done in neytiri, but it had to be something magical. "YesâŠI know she'll be fine, after all neteyam is with her" neytiri tries to calm down.
Meanwhile neteyam and y/n had arrived at the place. It was right next to the village, a nice jungle area. Where there were low trees, perfect for y/n to play with. The grass was soft, and the creatures that went to drink water from the small lake in the middle of the place were very safe. There were even more na-vi children playing in the area. Neteyam took her sister by the hand, but not before taking the oxygen mask and placing it on her younger sister's nose. "Breathe," said Neteyam excitedly. When they were ready, they ran to a branch. Neteyam helped his sister up, running along the wide trunk. They played like this for more than an hour. Practicing jumping, making bows out of the wood they found. Even collecting rare objects to place in their father's hair. Neteyam took great care of y/n, carrying her in places where she could fall. Cleaning her face, and always making sure her oxygen was good.
Both children were very entertained playing, they were watching some giant snails moving on the trunk of the tree. Until they felt that someone was behind them. The giggling of some children caught neteyam's attention. He quickly turned around and got up from the ground. While y/n tried to imitate him. "My mom says you should be with your own kind," said one of the children. Looking at the little girl, who was already feeling intimidated. "Mine says you should have died when your real mom did" says another child, this one was taller. "Hey, what's the matter with you guys? Stop bothering usâŠGET OUT!!!" shouts neteyam annoyed by the comments. Meanwhile y/n was holding neteyam's hand tightly. She didn't understand why those kids were saying that to her, to Y/N her mother was neytiri. They were the sameâŠor so she thought. Neteyam was arguing with the children, who were much older than neteyam. One of the boys grabbed y/n's arm and lifted her into the air. While another one pushed and held neteyam on the ground.
He had the little y/n in the air, she was crying and screaming. "teyam!!!" she screams as loud as she can. Neteyam helplessly on the ground. The na-vi child had him restrained. "And what's this for?" the annoying bully grabs the oxygen box that y/n used to have around her waist. In a jerk he rips it off, and now he's observing it. "Stop that!!!! That's a big thingâŠshe could die, PLEASE LEAVE HER ALONE!!!" yells neteyam. The little boy was crying in helplessness, as he saw how desperate his little sister is. The boy threw y/n on the ground, the fall was hard. He threw her with much force, then to kick her in the ribs. The little human girl writhed in pain. As she curled into a ball on the ground, while still crying. "Oh, so without thisâŠyou won't bother the clan anymore?" says the boyâŠgiving neteyam one last look. When he burst the oxygen machine on the floor. "Nooooo" shouts neteyam, knowing that this was one of the most important tools for y/n.
Note: Y/n can breathe pandora's air, but she needs human air every few moments. That's why she had the oxygen mask.
The device shattered into a thousand pieces, while the other children stepped on what they could. With a few scoffs, the boy holding Neteyam let go. Neteyam ran to his little sister⊠picking her up in his arm. To hug and comfort her. Neteyam wanted to fight for his sister, but that would make things worse. "I'll tell your mothers," Neteyam says. The little boy was holding his sister in his arms, trying to calm her down. The children scoff at him starting to walk away. "yeahâŠright" the laughter trails off, as they disappear into the jungle. Neteyam looks down to see his little sister.
Y/n had some scrapes on her shoulders and the blow she had taken to her ribs was already getting swollen and purple. "teyamâŠit hurts so m-much" y/n cries. Hugging his brother. " Don't worryâŠcome on let's go home, mom and dad will know what to do" says neteyam. He was little too, this was all a bit confusing for him. But he had to be the big brother, carrying his sister carefully.
Neytiri suspected that something had happened, you two had taken so long to return. "neytiri calmâŠcalm" neytiri speaks to herself. But all calmness was gone when she saw her mother enter. Mo'at had a worried look on her face. Neytiri stood up quickly. "What happened?" the woman asks. Mo'at approaches. "Some children hurt y/n and neteyam took her to me," Mo'at says, not wanting to upset her daughter. But she had to tell her the truth. Jake was nearby listening in. He, too, quickly approached the women. "What? Mom!!! Y/N IS SHE OK?" neytiri is hysterical. "Daughter, comeâŠshe is crying and calling for both of you" says mo'at she was also a little confused by this situation. Neytiri told jake to stay with lo'ak and kiri, while she saw what had happened.
Neytiri arrives at mo'at's hut. Entering as quickly as she could, she saw norm at y/n's side, he was taking her vitals. Neytiri observed how several parts of her little girl's body were bandaged. And the big bruise on her ribs. What the hell had happened? Her heart wanted to burst. "Mama!" neteyam whimpers, he was right next to his sister. "Mama!!!" y/n cries. Neytiri runs to her daughter. Stroking her hair, giving her a kiss on her forehead. "my baby..what happened?" neytiri starts to examine her daughter's whole body. "The blow to the rib was serious" says norm, he was talking seriously. Neytiri looks at him with concern. Y/n starts coughing, as she always did when she lacked oxygen. Norm approached him, placing the large oxygen mask on him. "What about her oxygen machine?" asks Neytiri.
"mom they broke it!!!" neteyam was so worried, sitting on his mother's lap. "by eywaâŠwhat happened?" Tears of fury began to comulate in neytiri's eyes. Whoever had done this was going to suffer the consequencesâŠneytiri had to find out what had happened. After a while, Norm handed her the oxygen machine. Telling her that he was going to make another one for Y/n that would be appropriate for her size. Mo'at told him that it was best for Y/n to get plenty of rest. The blows were very strong. Neytiri held her little daughter to her chest, as her baby cuddled her neck. She was asleep. While neteyam was holding her free hand. "Hey neytiriâŠyou need to figure this outâŠwith that blow to the ribs. Y/n could have diedâŠthis is serious" says norm. Before neytiri nods with her face and begins the walk home.
On the way neteyam told her everything, how that children had insulted her sister. How he had beaten her and treated her. Apologizing for not protecting his sister. "LoveâŠthis is not your fault. You're little too, and those kids are much bigger than you two. They are wrong for doing this, but don't worry I will take care of it" says neytiri. After quite a long walk, they arrived at the hut. Jake ran up to neytiri when he saw the state of Y/n. "What the hell happened?" jake is shaken. Neytiri explained everything to Jake, the more Neytiri told him the more upset Jake became. Who did they think they are, hurting one of Toruk Makto's sons?
Neytiri carefully placed the girl in her hammock, she was very sleepy. Placing her oxygen mask on her, at a gentle rhythm. Just so she could breathe both airs. Neytiri followed the same routine as every night, but she was very upset. "MamaâŠy/n will she be alright?" asks lo'ak looking at his sister from afar. Neytiri walks over to her son, stroking his face. Lo'ak and y/n were practically twins, with several months of differences. They were raised at the same time. Lo'ak used to sleep with y/n, and jake had told him he should sleep alone today. "Yes honey⊠she's fine. She just needs to rest" neytiri carries the child, taking her to kiri's hammock. After putting all the children to rest, neytiri quickly left the hut.
Jake was just outside, at the edge of the hut, which was at the height of a large tree, Jake was cleaning the pots that had been used for the meal when he saw how neytiri stormed out, her gaze was focused on a target. Grabbing her hand to make her stop for a moment. "baby where are you going?" asks jake. Neytiri waved her hand for jake to let go, and continued on her way. Jake stayed there watching neytiri walk away, but several minutes after neytiri disappeared into the brightly lit jungle he decided it was best to chase after her. Verifying that all the children were okay, he climbed down from the tree and followed his partner.
On the other hand, neytiri knew what she was going to do. Where she was going to go. She knew that group of mothers, the mothers of those troubled children. They used to eat together, they used to stay late in the common area of the village. With their hands closed, and their anger at a high level. Neytiri reached the group of women. The na'vi women were finishing their meals, others were laughing about some topic of conversation. Until one of them felt someone grab her head, revealing her neck. Feeling a sharp knife in her throat.
"I think I was very clearâŠwhen I said to stay away from my daughter" says neytiri. Her tone of voice was low and threatening. Showing her fangs, and with dilated pupils. The women around stood up for themselves, shouting and asking neytiri to release their friend. "Your son almost took my daughter's life," said neytiri. Listening as the woman in her arms, lets out a mocking laugh. "You're talking about the devil," says the woman, feeling a cut on her arm as neytiri slams her hard to the ground. She hit her head, seeing how neytiri was now on top of her. Fury was all over her entire body. "The only demon here is your damn child" speaks neytiri. Hearing as the woman's partner approaches, the man rushes over. Neytiri stands up, she could take this man. If she had to defend her daughter's honor she would do it, no matter what.
Just as the man approached to attack Neytiri and defend his partner. Jake appears in front of him, with a quick punch to the chest. Leaving him on the ground, right next to his partner. Jake began to growl, pulling out his knife. Positioning himself in front of neytiri, to create a barrier. "If I ever see your son againâŠor any of your children near my children. I swear I'll rip his head off myself!" shouts Neytiri. Jake is backing her up, ears perked up, fangs out. None of them were brave enough to reveal themselves in front of Toruk Makto and Neytiri. They were great warriors.
The couple and the group of women walk away. With difficulty because of the blow and cut that neytiri had given to the woman. Leaving Jake and Neytiri alone surrounding the bonfire. Jake didn't look away until he saw the group disappear. Turning to see neytiri collapsed on the ground, covering her face with her hands. Tears began to flow, and whimpering shrieks began to sound. Jake kneels down to hug neytiri. "She could have diedâŠand I wasn't there to take care of her. I promised mom I would take care of herâŠI promised to be her mother and take care of her. And today I almost lost her jake, ma jake today one of our daughters almost died" neytiri looks at jake, she was collapsed. She was in pain and furious.
"I knowâŠI was really scared too," says jake, watching neytiri's eyes widen. That's what she was afraid ofâŠafraid of losing her. It took neytiri so long to accept that she loved a human. It took her so much to give all her love to a creature who needed her. And now that she had promised her that she would always take care of her, these things happen to her little girl. "Ma neytiri⊠Y/n will have to live with all these comments and situations. But we will always be here to take care of herâŠlike now." Jake laughs a little, trying to cheer his partner up. Neytiri just hugs him tighter. + + The days passed and little Y/N got much better, she still had that bruise on her ribs. And it still hurt, but he was already playing as if nothing happened. Even lo'ak went back to sleep with her sister. Neytiri was barely leaving the hut, she didn't want to meet those women. Much less leave Y/N alone, she would rather stay with her children at home. By coincidence, that morning, while everyone was eating breakfast, "Mom, could we go to the river? I want to go play with lo'ak" says y/n sitting on her father's lap. "mmm I don't think so" says neytiri, shaking her head quickly. "ahhh mama!!!" says lo'ak, whining. They hadn't been out to play for a long time, the only one who had been out was neteyam and that was because he had to go to practice.
Jake gives neytiri's hand a squeeze, laughing a little. The woman takes a calming breath before replying. "It's okayâŠbesides I think you guys need a bath" says neytiri tickling kiri. She was still half asleep. Later, jake takes neteyam with him, while neyitir takes kiri, lo'ak and Y/N to the river. Watching as the children run when they see them approach the water source. Screaming and laughing. They looked so happy. Neytiri settles down on a rock, beginning to settle everything to clean up for her children. She regretted that neteyam was not there today, he smelled bad too. First it was kiri, while lo'ak and Y/N continued playing in the water. Then it was lo'ak's turn and finally Y/N.
"Ok, come here little one" neytiri says as she removes the little one's loincloth, preparing the oils she was going to use. For Y/N everything was different and unique. "Hello ney" says ninat, she had recently given birth. She was a new mother, and she was the only woman in the clan that neytiri trusted. Besides her mother. "Nina!!!!" says Y/N happily, jumping in the water. "Hi baby" ninat comes over to give the little girl a kiss on the hair.
"HiâŠhow's everything?" asks neytiri starting to clean Y/N, while ninat began to arrange to do the same with her baby. "Everything is perfectâŠhey I heard what happened" says ninat, seeing how neytiri's face changed. They both looked at the bruise that was still on the little girl's skin, and how she had other scratches on other parts of her body. "I don't want to talk about itâŠI" neytiri felt ninat place her hand on her shoulder. "Next timeâŠcome and look for me. I will always help you take care of your family" ninat says, neytiri smiles a little. She is glad to know that there are people who support her and know that this event and behavior they have had with Y/N is wrong.
After cleaning Y/N, Neytiri put a new loincloth on her and told her that she could go play with her brother and sister. Just as the little girl was on her way among the rocks, she saw the group of children who had once hurt her. They were approaching with their mothers. The women were going to another corner, but immediately noticed the presence of the sullys. Y/N ran as fast as she could to her mother. Burying her head in her mother's chest. The little girl was trembling, and you could hear how she was about to start crying.
Neytiri looked up and saw the women. Giving her a defiant look, noticing how the woman's arm was bandaged. Neytiri looked at her little daughter, taking her head in her hands making her look her in the eyes. "Y/NâŠthey already know their place, as long as I am alive, no one will hurt youâŠI promise you" Neytiri speaks, hugging her daughter.
