Thoughts on Ava Arbuckle?

I'm honestly not sure there's much for me to have thoughts on. I thought she danced very well at PdL, she definitely fits into what the current age of ballet is rewarding. I'm glad she's studying at John Cranko now but I believe she has a few more years until graduation and I honestly haven't seen any substantial performance clips since PdL.

Hmm let's make a quick list shall we? List is just in terms of popularity, not difficulty or my opinion on the choreography. Also in no general order

Overrated:

Esmerelda (the trick variation for all the girls with legs + pirouettes)

Flora from Awakening of Flora (used to be super niche until Ava Arbuckle blew up dancing it at Prix and now its EVERYWHERE)

Paquita "Etoile" (you've gotta be super interesting to make me invested in this variation)

Giselle Act 1 (I love it...but it's inescapable)

Gamzatti (Default jumper girl variation)

Underrated:

Aurora Act 2 (so dreamy, but overshadowed by other Sleeping Beauty variations)

Clemence act 3 (TBH Basically any non-principal variation from Raymonda could work here)

Sylvia variation (A lot of girls today don't have the pointework to pull it off)

Prayer variation Act 3 Coppelia (way harder than people give it credit for)

Anything from La Fille Mal Gardee (people like tutus too much lol)
