i'm still trying to restrain myself from posting too much about this because a) i really really really really want people to see this on their own merit. it's on [HBO] Max if you have it and b) i will just end up posting the entire short. but my god i haven't been thinking about anything other than this for the past 35 hours. not only is the stop motion and stylization astounding, but the DIRECTING! LOOK AT THESE CAMERA MOVES!!!! THE FRAMING!!! THIS WAS ALL DONE BY HUMAN HANDS!!! THE COLORS!! THE CHEATS (the cage "door" LOOKS to my untrained eye like a panel of glass that disappears upon the closing frame)!
