It is connecting Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, and Modi Nagar North To ease the last-mile journey of commuters, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and Ghaziabad City Transport Service have joined hands to offer bus services to and from seven routes, covering several parts of the area, including Kaushambi and Loni in Ghaziabad and Dilshad Garden in neighbouring Delhi for India’s first Regional Rapid Transit System. These 50 electric buses for seven routes can be boarded/deboarded from/at bus stops developed near the entry-exit gates of stations on the operations stretch of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), the NCRTC announced on Wednesday. Speaking to News18, an official said that the routes covered will be Kaushambi to Kanoja Village (connecting to Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar and Duhai RRTS Stations), Purana Bus Adda to Mandola Ghaziabad route (connecting Ghaziabad RRTS station), Kaushambi to Modi Nagar route (connecting to Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Murad nagar, Modi Nagar South and Modi Nagar North RRTS stations), Loni to Purana bus adda route (connecting to Ghaziabad RRTS station), Dilshad Garden to Massuri route (connecting to Ghaziabad RRTS station), Kaushambi to Sanjay Nagar/ALT route (connecting to Sahibabad and Ghaziabad RRTS station), and Kaushambi to Govindpuram route (connecting to Sahibabad and Ghaziabad RRTS stations). These bus services, the official added, will also ease the journey for those who commute from Delhi Metro and want to board the RRTS. The details of these buses, including fare and timing are available on the RRTS Connect mobile app. “The integration covers key RRTS stations, including Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar & Duhai. NCRTC is also in talks with the authorities to get Muradnagar, Modi Nagar South, and Modi Nagar North stations integrated with these city buses,” the NCRTC said. Additionally, NCRTC has also collaborated with RAPIDO to provide cab services at Sahibabad and Ghaziabad RRTS stations including auto-rickshaws, two-wheeler bike taxis, as well as four-wheeler cabs. “NCRTC is also installing fast EV chargers in parking areas of RRTS stations to enhance last-mile connectivity. This will lead to increased use of both Electric Vehicles and Namo Bharat trains, while also creating a sustainable and eco-friendly hub of public transport modes,” it added. Expressions of interest have also been invited from other cab aggregators and bus operators for integration with all the 25 stations across the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor, which will further enhance the connectivity of urban nodes with the RRTS stations, creating a transport hub. “NCRTC aims to deliver a cohesive and hassle-free network of networks across the National Capital Region (NCR) by integrating bus stands, airport, metro stations and railway stations with RRTS stations. Case Against Delhi Uber Driver For "Lasciviously Staring" At Journalist

The police have registered an FIR under IPC section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and initiated a probe into the incident.

New Delhi: Delhi Police have registered a case in connection to the incident in which a driver allegedly misbehaved with a woman journalist in an Uber auto-rickshaw in the national capital.

"Efforts to trace and nab the accused are on," said police officials on Friday.

"On 02.03.23 at about 11.00 pm, one Ms X resident of Bharat Nagar approached police station NFC and filed a complaint against one driver. She levelled allegations of indecent behaviour as well as lascivious staring by him, while she was travelling from NFC to Malviya Nagar on 01.03.23 at about 4.40 pm," read the official statement from Delhi Police.

The police have registered an FIR under IPC section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and initiated a probe into the incident.

"Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 92/23 u/s 509 IPC dated 02.03.23 was registered at PS NFC and an investigation was taken up. Earlier, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal said that a notice has been issued to Uber India and Delhi Police over the incident of molestation of a woman journalist in an Uber auto in Delhi.

On Thursday, Swati Maliwal in a tweet said, "Notice has been issued to Uber India and Delhi Police over the unfortunate incident of molestation of a female journalist in an Uber Auto in Delhi. Information has also been sought about the steps taken by Uber for the safety of women."

While talking to ANI, the victim woman said, "I was going to my friend's place in Malviya Nagar and I got into an auto from NFC. I booked the auto via Uber. I was alone in the auto. Since I was listening to music, initially I did not understand what was happening. After some time I realised that the auto driver was staring at me in the left side mirror. My breasts were visible in the mirror and he was looking at me. I became uncomfortable and shifted towards my right. However, he changed his position and started looking at me in the right-side mirror."

"After this, I moved to the extreme left corner so that I am not visible to him but he turned back and started looking at me. I threatened him and said that I would complain and surprisingly he did not object. So I opened the Uber App and clicked on a number on the app. However, due to fluctuating network, I could not contact so I called on the number once again. This time as well I was unable to contact the company due to various glitches on the app," the woman added.

The woman further stated that the Delhi Woman's Commission swung into action after she tweeted about the incident.

She said, "I tweeted about the incident at night. The Delhi Woman's Commission followed up after my tweet went viral. I registered a verbal as well as a written complaint with the Commission. I came to register a police complaint after all this."

"The Delhi Police has said that they will file an FIR and I need to be present before the magistrate tomorrow," she added.

Demanding woman's security in the national capital, she said, "The incident happened with me in broad daylight. I had the option to confront as it was daytime. What if the incident happened during the night? The Uber App did not work. There should be a proper system and they should have called me back. When I raised my voice against the incident, the company contacted me."

Myanmar Woman Gang-Raped By 4 Men In Delhi: Cops

The Myanmar woman alleged that she was made unconscious and abducted by an auto-rickshaw driver in the Kalindi Kunj area before being gang raped.

New Delhi: A Myanmarese woman was allegedly gang-raped by four people in the national capital, informed Delhi Police today.

The Myanmar woman alleged that she was made unconscious and abducted by an auto-rickshaw driver in the Kalindi Kunj area before being gang raped.

According to Delhi Police officials, the woman is a registered refugee.

"A case has been registered by the police following her complaint," a police officer said.

According to the complaint, she was visiting somewhere in Southeast Delhi, along with her husband, for the treatment of their daughter, when the auto driver abducted her and took her to an isolated location.

"We registered a case on February 25 under IPC sections 365, 368, 376d,323, and 506," said a police official.

An investigation is underway, police informed further.

Earlier, on February 3, a three-year-old was allegedly gang-raped by two persons in Delhi's Fatehpur Beri area.

A woman reached Delhi's Fatehpur Beri Police Station along with her daughter aged about three years, stating that her daughter had gone missing.

She said she was looking for her daughter when her neighbour, Rani, informed her that she had seen her daughter walking near the jungle area.

The neighbour claimed further that she had also seen two persons going in the same direction, towards the Jungle area.

According to the mother, they searched the area and found the child crying and bleeding from her private part. When the mother enquired about what had happened, the child kept crying.

The child was taken for her medical examination to a hospital.

Following the complaint, the police swung into action and apprehended the accused.

The accused were iidentified as Ramniwas Panika (27) and Shaktiman Singh (22). Both belong to Sidhi district in Madhya Pradesh, officers said, adding that they were booked.
