Loooooong post imminent.

(sorry if I’ve already posted about this before and just don’t remember)

      So. When I was little, I watched Teletubbies a lot. Like... a lot a lot. Here’s the problem I had, though. The Teletubbies themselves? They were perfectly fine. But the Noo-Noo? Oh dear lordy me the friggin’ Noo-Noo. I was beyond utterly terrified of that thing. I had nightmares of it nearly every night. It was bad to the point where nearly every day, I had waking nightmares of that blasted thing. Nearly everywhere I went, my mind made me see that thing slowly chasing me down. At home? It was coming down the hall towards me or hiding right behind me at the table during lunch or dinner. On the road? It was there, slowly chasing after me. My only safe haven from it was at school. And my full-on asleep nightmares of it... oh boy. To say my Noo-Noo nightmares were weird would be the world’s greatest understatement.

      I remember one nightmare where I was taking a bath, and the Noo-Noo rolled into the bathroom. I was like, “Oh hiiiii, you must be the Noo-Noo... uh, you can go back to Teletubby Land now...” and then it sucked me up, and I was sliding down this never-ending series of metal slides until I woke up. In another one, the diamond-patterned rug in our front room seemed to stretch on forever, and I kept running down it, seeing Noo-Noo copies of so many different sizes, some nearly as big as a smart car, some as small as my hand. Then I saw all the talking vehicles from Bob the Builder outside the door  (I was only like 8, maybe 10 or 12, so none of the modern ones, just the classic ones) and foolishly told the Noo-Noos to come see them since I was so excited, but then starting to say no too late, and they got me... then I woke up. But by far the weirdest one of all... was the grand finale of that Noo-Noo nightmare mess. It still gets fuzzier every day, but I remember most of it.

       It started out in a relative’s doubly previous house, and the TV was showing a static picture of the... Tubbydome? Tubby House? Whatever the thing the Teletubbies call their come is called. The TV was showing a static picture of that... but then the door to it opened. This long, 1-tile wide pathway of blue tiles that were maybe like... 1 & 1/2 feet long by 1 & 1/2 feet wide extended out of the door and through the TV screen onto the floor of the house. And then the Noo-Noo started rolling down the path towards me. I was freaking out, but then I saw my dad’s truck in the driveway, so I ran outside, and for some reason, instead of sitting in my usual spot, I sat in the middle seat... but instead of my dad in the truck, it was two zombies from Plants VS Zombies. Then I fell through the seat into some weird warped, fractured version of the Indianapolis Airport, and I was running around there for a while, occasionally running away from more Plants VS Zombies zombies, until eventually, I fell into a car with Dora the Explorer and all her friends in their beach outfits, and then Swiper, the Noo-Noo, and all of the PVZ zombies starting convering on us all at once, and the Noo-Noo starting sucking up all of our stuff... and then I woke up. It was the afternoon, I was sprawled out on my bed with all the covers and whatnot tossed off, I was wearing shorts and an Indiana University sweatshirt, which is strange considering neither of my parents went there, and said parents of mine were doing the laundry...

       After that, I never had another Noo-Noo nightmare again... I still don’t know why.

I drew Steve from Minecraft. Yup.

I used that little figurine as the reference, along with an image from Google, it's like one of the first pictures to show up when you search for "minecraft steve" in Google Images. I drew him with a BIC brand mechanical pencil (0.9 mm #2 pencil hardness lead), Staedtler brand colored pencils, and a black Staedtler brand triplus fineliner ink pen (0.3 mm tip).
