mosylu, youareiron_andyouarestrong, wintersend
(To the anon who asked—yes, I’m still taking names!)
mosylu / @mosylufanfic: I considered choosing one of her light-hearted, funny stories, because they always make me smile and it’s an impressive achievement to write in-character humour for this ship... but then I remembered Faking It, which is easily one of the sexiest things I’ve ever read and hotter than most full-on PWP, even though no-one has sex
youareiron_andyouarestrong / @youareiron-andyouarestrong: I’d say iron, salt, earth but I don’t know whether a co-authored story is cheating for the purposes of this meme, so I went with i’d be the dreadful need in the devotee (imagine being loved by me) featuring a lovely framing device and a satisfyingly ferocious Jyn
wintersend / @andorerso : as soon as I saw the author’s note saying imaginary homelands was based on a Persuasion prompt I was sold! and the story delivers on the promised bittersweet, slow-burn reunion of estranged lovers, plus a nicely fleshed-out SW backdrop
[ send me three fic writers and I’ll share my favourite stories by each ]

"'cause i've been banging on the walls, i'm too dry to cry" by youareiron_andyouarestrong (T)
Fandom: Star Wars Pairing: Jyn Erso/Cassian Andor Title: ‘cause i’ve been banging on the walls, i’m too dry to cry Author: youareiron_andyouarestrong Link: http://archiveofourown.org/works/9560354 Rating/Warning(s): Teen Word Count/WIP?: 561 Recced on LiveJournal By: stars_inthe_sky Why This Must Be Read: Short and sweet, this ficlet nails its characterizations, and the indignation and sass coming from all angles is delightfully off-the-charts. passed down like folksongs, the love lasts so long
by youareiron_andyouarestrong on ao3
Rating: T | Category: F/M, Gen | Relationship: Lockwood/Lucy, Lucy & Norrie
It’s a warm day in June when the dead start to wake.
They’ve not been cold in their graves, or laid out in coffins. These are the folk who lay still and quiet in their homes, or hospital beds. The ones who have been out of time.
It’s the summer solstice, and the ghost-locked are waking up.
Norrie White wakes up.

i’ve never seen someone lit from within (blurring out my periphery)
by youareiron_andyouarestrong on ao3
Rating: T | Category: F/M | Relationship: Lockwood/Lucy
To be clear, it’s George’s idea from the start.
“We need someone else,” he says, as he and Lockwood stagger home in the cold, gray dawn. “Another agent. Someone who's better at Listening than you or me, because this is the third time we nearly got out in one piece, because you can’t Listen and I’m shit at it.”
Lockwood would probably feel more amenable to this suggestion if his best coat didn’t smell of burnt salt and iron, not to mention if every salt bomb and his rapier didn’t feel like it weighs fifty kilos, each. “Weren’t you just saying we needed to start out slow? We’ve only been open for three months. And besides,” he adds, “who can we get? The other agencies won’t work with us, because we don’t have a supervisor,” he spits out the last word like it’s a curse.
“I’m not spending another night nearly getting ghost touched because we’re hamstrung by our limitations,” says George, flatly unimpressed by him, as always. “We need someone else. Put an advertisement in the Times if you won’t work with the agencies.”
The Interview, from Lockwood's POV, and the leading up to it.
