Summary:  

When Dean happens upon a documentary about surfing, he finds himself captivated by the mysterious surfer known only as the Angel. He wants to be as free as the Angel looks gliding across the waves.

But it turns out surfing is harder than he thought. His first attempt almost becomes his last, but a cute passerby drags him out of the water. Dean isn’t one to give up, though: on surfing or on tracking down his hot savior.

Cas left behind surfing years ago, going as far as to fake his own death to escape his father. His time as prodigy surfer the Angel was not a happy one and Cas has no interest in revisiting that part of his life—or at least he didn’t until Dean strolls onto his beach and brings it all roaring back into his life.

Excerpt: 

Dean twists one more time and kicks towards the light, knowing in his heart he won’t make it. Dark spots cloud his vision.

A hand breaks the surface, grabbing him tightly and tugging him roughly out of the water.

He breathes in, coughing desperately as his mystery rescuer wraps an arm around him, pulling him towards the shore.

Dean’s too busy trying to suck in lungfuls of oxygen to do much of anything else.

He feels himself half carried half dragged onto the sand.

A face appears above him, haloed by the midday sun.

Dean feels his heart skip when his gaze finds two of the bluest eyes he’s ever seen—even bluer than the ocean that dragged him to California only to try and kill him.

Blue Eyes is scowling down at him which is, Dean’s still recovering brain manages to note, extremely hot.

“What the hell were you thinking? You could have died. You would have died if I didn’t happen to be passing by.”
