hey! I should make a more comprehensive list because someone asked me about it ages ago over at @meddows-taylor and I never got to it, but off the top of my head here’s some:  - and you said “cute”, but I’ll throw in some angst because that’s my kind of thing too and some smut for good measure

“Right ’Til The End” by reinne . A body swap au I’m really invested in.

“Stay in Bed” by @she-was-a-gay-stripper. Cute, fluffy and an adorable sick Rog taken care by his boyfriend

“Escape (The Piña Colada Song)” by talkingismylife. Forever one of my favorites. Cute, funny and based on an episode of Happy Endings, what else could you need?

“I’m One” by Sherlaufeyson. I’m in love with this one shoot. Romantic, insightful and domestic. Oh, and musicalized by The Who.

“Play Another Wedding Song, A Wedding Song Goes On and On” by brianmaybrianmay. I’m a sucker for the “5+1 things” and this is so romantic, fluffy and I love the characterization.

Actually, all of their “Maylor 5+1 things” series is amazing, and I recommend each and everyone of those

“how to make my own life here (how to make my own home)” by brahe. If you ever wondered what would happened if you mixed Brian’s fondness of taking pictures and maylor, the answer is a very adorable and loving exchange.

“See What A Fool I’ve Been” by brianmaybrianmay. It’ a Big Gay Panic (™) for dear Brian after hooking up with Roger. Even if it gets a tad bit angsty at moments, it’s a very lovely story.

“Ursa Major” by smokeytaboo. I’m not gonna lie, this is mostly smut, but it’s so well written and still somehow, cute and fluffy? If that’s your thing, I highly recommend it. Definitely one of my favorites.

“The A Experience” by Rose_2925, WordsareBetterthanNumbers. I’m a bit behind and not fully caught up on the new chapters, but I’m a sucker for fake dating, so check it out.

“Is This The Real Life” by @tv-saved-the-teenage-girl. I don’t know why I have a thing for Roger and Brian sharing rooms, but I love all of the stories that center around that. This is extremely cute and romantic.

“It’s a Deal” by @tv-saved-the-teenage-girl. I’m biased because this is based off of on of my quotes, but it’s a lovely story about Roger courting and pursuing Brian, who enjoys making him wait. Cute, funny and romantic.

“Paint” by @ronniesshoes. I think this was one of the first stories I read, procrastinating in the back of one of my classes back in November, and I became obsessed. It’s smutty but extremely in character, and incredibly written and heartwarming.

“All the more reason” by @atenementfunster. The ghost au you didn’t know you wanted but desperately need. One of the most adorable, heartbreaking and addictive stories I’ve read. It’s a bit angsty but will leave a mark on your soul.

“I Know the Secrets of the Universe (but I don’t know your name)” by sammyspreadyourwings. Brian is a barista and crushing on Roger, his regular customer. He learns a couple of things about him in the meantime, while falling deeper and deeper. (The author has a bunch of queen prompts and oneshoots, check them out!)

“Sleeping on the Sidewalk” by @emmaandorlando. You’ve probably read me ranting and ranting about this story, but it may be in the top 5 of my ultimate faves and I re-read it constantly. Somehow Roger and sleeping issues seems to fascinate me, but this deals with Brian coming to terms with his love and fighting a sleeping Roger in his bed almost every night. Read it, if only so you can join me on the staning train.

“cosmogyral” by chateauofmyheart. Roger, Brian, the cosmos and the moon landing. It’s very sweet, domestic and will have you grinning like an idiot. The author has a series that consists of “rare words” and Queen, and it’s super original and well written.

These are the ones that came to mind or that I could find now. They are all posted on ao3, but I should revisit this with stuff posted on tumblr, because there are amazing stories around, some of my favorite even. Also I (mostly) left out smut, but I could do another list for those.

It scares me every time when it feels like we’re losing authors of the Queen fandom? Like Kaz (nothingelsematters) is currently very busy in real life, justqueenthoughts (sweetestsight) is going on an indefinite hiatus, chateauofmymind (chateauofmyheart) no longer writes for Queen anymore, brian-fuxing-may (LeggoxMyxGreggo)‘s “Muse still hasn’t returned home from war”, Annie (annieapple24) is also very busy in real life right now and dresseduplikedreams deleted their entire AO3 account awhile back therefore all of their wonderful Frian/Maycury fics are gone, just to name a few…… it’s just very sad and makes me want to hold onto every current active writers……Sammy don’t leave us pls QAQQQ *grabby hands* (tired day at work kinda drunk rn so confession time aha will probably regret this in the morning)
