author's note : hi all. i know i have a lot of explaining to do but, what i can say is that, i am sorry. i cannot go on with the 'corpse bride timothée chalamet au', because i felt out of interest for him (same goes with my past relationships, a bit personal sorry). recently i posted a formula one driver imagine and it was the bomb and i found that it has piqued a lot of people than what i posted before the imagine. i am sorry once again but i have no longer interest in writing about timothée chalamet anymore and right after i posted all ten parts of 'the parent trap', there will be no second season or whatever you called after a second part of a whole series. so yea, i hope this one also pique your interest and liking and as always, enjoy.

a sun rises as a sign that the next day has come by and a new day has started. a social work course university student, y/n thomas, brisk-walked through her way to her faculty building placed in university of sydney as she was late for her 8-am class. "i'm late, i'm late, i'm late." was all muttered from her mouth as she walked through a sea of people here and there.
"this is all grace's fault for taking me to that stupid party." y/n mumbled, and as she almost reached her class, she almost slipped off to the floor while grabbing the door handle. a hand, not hers, grabbed her by her waist, stablized her back to her feet. "woah there, steady." an almost-french male voice was heard. y/n looked up and it was one of her classmates. it felt like a korean drama moment but both y/n and the guy snapped out of it once they realized where they're at. "uh, sorry and thanks." y/n said and she opened the door, entered the class hall, trying not to disturb the ongoing class.
"as you all are fully aware, next year will be your field education 1. be sure you are ready in preparing whichever places you picked and make sure that you have contacted your advisor regarding the locations you've picked whether it is suitable or not." the professor, dr. aikenmann explained and after that, the class continues on.
-
there was a knock on a huge bedroom door by one of the helpers. "mademoiselle, c'est déjà le matin. (miss, it is the morning already.)" said the helper. "attends une minute. (wait a minute.)" a young woman answered as she was half-fully awake, patting on her fluffy cover blanket, searching for her beloved cat, samuel. as she felt the fur body of a cat, she smiled while her eyes were still shut. "te voilà. (there you are.)" she mumbled.
"good morning mother, father."
"good morning my sweetheart." mother replied as she was sipping her tea. mother wasn't her real mother, it was a step-mother. marie auclair-thomas, heiress herself to her father's company, being one of the most stock-share holder from the company itself. despite that, after the marriage with beau thomas himself, two of three beau's children left nice, french. but not amélie colette thomas, she was announced as a heiress and it was her duty to stay in nice for the sake of company's stock holders.
it has been five years since then.
"morning buttercup." father replied as he was scrolling his tablet, probably reading news or look into this morning stocks condition. "remember, you have to come with me to paris later on." father said as he set his glasses on the dining table, on top of the tablet. "is it about that racing thing? can i pass?" amélie asked as she took a bit from her toast. "no you cannot sweetie. you have a reputation and people need to see the heiress in the company." father explained. "what am i? paris hilton?" amélie replied smugly. "oh sweetheart, our company is one of the teams sponsor, of course you need to go and show your face at the race. even paris hilton went to the race and met her drivers. what was it honey?" mother explained as she looked at father's way. "mclaren i believe." father added and amélie, being herself, a snobby little brat, sighed heavily. "okay, okay." amélie said. "i'll go to your stupid race." amélie added.
-
"hey, y/n right?" a male's voice was heard as y/n turned around and saw the earlier guy that caught in a moment with her as well. "urm yea." confused, y/n stopped her walking and fully turned her body. "i was just wondering, if you would like to meet up with the advisor together because i realized that we do have the same advisor." the guy said and realization hit on y/n.
"oh yea, and you are?"
"robert."
as they walked their way to the their academic advisor's office regarding the field education, they saw their advisor, professor dans, talking to some other students. "professor dans." robert said as they approached the professor and the students. the students dismissed. "oh hi robert, y/n, here to talk about your field education?" professor dans asked as her hand was on the door handle. "yes professor dans, we would like to ask for your suggestions as well." y/n added as robert nodded at her. professor dans smiled as she opened up her room office, entering and turning on the lights and air condition while saying, "please come in."
both robert and y/n entered the room office and professor dans made a gesture to ask them to take a seat each at the sofa that was placed in the room office while professor dans take a seat at the single seated sofa. "so what do you have in mind?" professor dans asked. "uh.." robert started. "i was thinking to do it at my home country, doing some volunteering works there." robert stated as professor dans nodded her head yes. "i see, interesting. it does have volunteering center there yes?" professor dans asked. "because if you just doing a volunteering job with having an office then your field education will be 'not complete', you need to find an office that does the job because you're still a student, not a volunteer worker." professor dans reasoned. she's good, no wonder they called her professor dansgon as in dragon. she looks all sweet on the outside but in reality, her words are kinda harsh but sometimes can bring down someone's self-esteem.
"how about you y/n, have you thought of yours? if not, please don't waste my time." ouch, professor dans said. her true colors are truly showing up.
"actually, i would like to do in unicef if it is possible?" y/n replied unsurely as professor dans just stared at her. then she just sighed. "look children, doing volunteer job is good because that is what your major is but don't forget, doing your field education while volunteering requires a lot of paperworks, you might have no time because doing volunteer job means most of your time totally focused on the jobs. you won't have enough time for your paperworks and never forget, you have to make a presentation once your field education ends. have you two even thinking about all of these?" professor dans snapped. y/n just biting hard on her bottom lip, an old, bad habit of hers while robert just looked down. professor dans continued on looking at them.
"listen, i give you two to rethink over this matter and come back to finalize on your field education. remember, as important in helping people, you need to know where your ground is as a student." professor dans said, and then dismissed.
"WHAT A BITCH!" grace's voice rose up as their surroundings were looking at them. y/n stared at grace with bored in her eyes as she knew how grace's reaction when came things like this. "who does she thinks she is?" grace continued. "a professor and an advisor and also an educator, no doubt she would say things like that grace." y/n explained. grace sighed. "but still, don't need to be so bitchy about it." grace defended, being a good friend which y/n being thankful for, sometimes grace don't know when to know how to limit her supportive self.
to y/n, it is common for an educator like professor dans being like that. because she (professor dans) knows what will happen if just solely doing what she (y/n) planned before. right now, she just wants sleep away the thought of wanting to kill professor dans for being her dragon self.
y/n sighed as she sloped her head on the dining hall table, groaning. grace looked at her best friend as she sipping on her milk tea. "you know, you could ask your sister about this." grace mentioned. y/n snapped her head at grace. her eyed were as if she could shallow grace alive right now, without a doubt. "i mean, that dragon did mention on how you need to apply from a company and duhh, your dad's company held a charity event for some children' helping solidarity whatever right?" grace said. y/n sighed once again. "i guess, i'll ask her later on." y/n said.

"welcome along to the france grand prix, which could be the last french grand prix." an announcer announced as the screen of the circuit shown. "it is round 12, as we headed to part two to this formula 1 season in 2022 as we take place over 53 laps." the announcer continues as the graphic of a circuit shown where the race took place in.
amélia who stood in the ferrari hospitality, fanning herself as the heat from outside haven't left from her yet. "ugh, can't this thing get over with?" amélia grumbled to herself as she stood and watched her father's back alongside with ferrari's team principal fred. beau turned around to see amélia awkwardly stood there while fanning herself. "fred, this is my daughter, amélia. sweetheart, this is fred, ferrari's very own team principal." beau introduced as fred laughed to himself, humoured by beau's introduction. "pleasure to meet you fred." amélia said plainly. fred who understood, just smiled, knowing that not all can accept this kind of sport. "pleasures all mine madamoiselle, what a beautiful daughter came from a beautiful father aye?" fred said as he nudged beau's arm as beau just chuckled.
"ah charles." fred called as a guy in red suit walked by while sipping on his long strawed-bottle. the guy named charles walked over to fred. "i want you to meet amélia thomas, daughter of beau thomas." fred introduced as charles looked over to a girl who looked kinda annoyed by being here. "miss." charles said as he nodded his head. amélia, just nodded her head back, making things more awkward. "ah charles, pleasure to meet the driver that will bring victory to this team." beau said as he pat on charles' back, making charles chuckled to himself. "that is fluttering comibg from you sir. thank you." charles said while beau pat charles' back. "i need to go now, i'll see you later on mr thomas." charles said and off he goes to the ferrari's garage.
"let's go amé, the race is about to start." beau said while amélia walked towards the paddock, amélia's phone went off, signalling a notification.

BIOGRAPHY (abridged)
mari's parents are the definition of opposites attract - rinji nakamura, a famous crime author from a family of well-respected journalists, is a quiet man, reclusive and sensible. ariane auclair, a socialite turned model turned one-time actress (an erotic thriller that was critically panned) from a wealthy family of her own, is reckless, and outgoing, and more than a little vain. no one really knows how they met or why they got together, but they did, and they had mari.
she was always closer to her father, who would let her stay in his study while he wrote. she would lie on the floor reading, or drawing, and eventually writing along with him. she declared that she wanted to be a writer when she was seven.
the circumstances surrounding mari's mother being cut out of her parents' will are somewhat shrouded in mystery. what's common knowledge is that ariane borrowed A LOT of money from them over the years, and got away with it for a long time as she was the baby of the family. when they eventually chose to confront her about this, however, there was an argument that turned pretty nasty — no one knows exactly what was said, but ariane made some below the belt remarks so damning that she was cut off.
the nakamuras moved into a smaller house, sold overseas properties, and mari started to attend a much cheaper private school. neither her nor her father were remotely bothered by this. in fact, it was refreshing. she learns from her peers, visiting places that real people go to and discovering the value of money that isn’t endless. in stages, she grows to detest where she came from, and her own family most of all.
despite now being social pariahs, they were still invited to the occasional family gathering (she suspects solely so they can be gossiped about). in the summer before her second year at meraviglia, oleander's family invited them to stay for a week. after six days of passive aggressive comments and thinly veiled insults, mari snapped.
during a party the day before they were due to leave, she slipped into oleander's mother's dressing room and tried her luck with the safe, correctly guessing the code after a few attempts (her son's date of birth — really, she was asking to get robbed) and stealing the marchesa diamond.
the act of stealing their precious diamond was not about acquiring something of worth, but about taking it away from them. she told as much to professor dupont, who seemed amused by her story as she detailed scouting the room for security cameras, an awkward encounter with a maid as she exited her guest room flushed with pride, rejoining the party with no one having noticed she’d left.
mari doesn't particularly like dupont – he’s far too much of an entitled snob for her taste – but as a child raised on mysteries, there is a certain appeal to the whole situation that gives her a quiet thrill. it’s why, in spite of her feud with caper, she was so willing to team up with them again in order to solve it. it’s harmless fun that allows her to get close to one of her best friends again, but she can’t deny that she would like to find out what happened to him.
HEADCANONS
since her family was cut off from her grandparents, mari has become something of a kleptomaniac. she never steals anything too valuable (with one notable exception, of course), usually just small trinkets that people might not notice are gone, but over the years she’s amassed quite a collection. pieces that were stolen years ago are displayed around her apartment like trophies. more recent acquisitions are kept locked in the bottom drawer of her desk.
she lives alone in a small apartment off campus. it’s notoriously disorganised, with mugs, papers and clothes scattered across every available surface, and books stacked precariously in towering piles on the floor. though she makes efforts to tidy it all up every once in a while, she actually quite enjoys the mess, as it makes her feel like a real writer.
at any given time, mari is working on several writing projects. a book of poetry, a one-woman play, a collection of essays. her favourite, however, is a biting satirical novel about wealthy families and hubris (think knives out).
one of her best qualities is that she’s unfailingly generous. most frequently seen materially – always more than happy to pick up a tab or give away books or clothes because ‘I read this and it reminded me of you’ or ‘it would look better on you anyway’. to those she's closest to, she’s also generous with her time, and is extremely dependable if you need someone to show up in an emergency.
mari doesn’t particularly like parties, but will attend the occasional gathering with the idea of finding some inspiration. every so often, however, she’ll feel the need to blow off some steam and will overindulge in whatever’s available. it’s also not uncommon to find her drinking on her own in an evening, or smoking a joint on her rickety balcony.
truth be told, she’s kind of a gossip. It’s not intentional, or through any ill will, she just enjoys the basic principle of acquiring and passing on knowledge. particularly grave or serious topics discussed with close friends she knows to keep private, but if you decide to tell her about someone you have a crush on, you’re running the risk of that person knowing within the week.
she’s surprisingly gifted at forging handwriting, a skill her friends are welcome to utilise if they ever need it.
music is something that mari treats with almost as much reverence as she treats the written word. she has curated playlists for every possible mood or activity you can imagine (motivational, shower, despondent, angry, cooking, sex), and uses them to fuel and inspire her writing. (however, she also has a penchant for true crime podcasts. she blames her father for this.)
speaks japanese, french, english, and italian fluently. she enjoys reading books in all four languages and comparing the way similar concepts are treated so differently, but her own writing is usually in japanese or french.
she has all of her father’s books preserved carefully on a shelf, and reads them whenever she misses him.

Ohio Welcomes Kentucky Attorney
The Ohio Supreme Court has issued a significant decision admitting an attorney, summarized by Dan Trevas
A Kentucky attorney —who practiced law exclusively in Kentucky from an Ohio office while awaiting admission to practice in Ohio — did not engage in the unauthorized practice of law, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled today.
The Supreme Court was unanimous in concluding the Board of Commissioners on Character and Fitness inappropriately found Alice Auclair Jones engaged in the unauthorized practice of law. However, the justices were divided in their reasoning for doing so.
In an opinion that Justice Terrence O’Donnell authored for the majority, the Court concluded that Jones did not violate Prof.Cond.R. 5.5 because she was providing “legal services on a temporary basis,” an exception that permits attorneys licensed in other states to practice law in Ohio.
Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor and Justices Judith L. French and Patrick F. Fischer joined Justice O’Donnell’s opinion.
In a concurring opinion, Justice R. Patrick DeWine wrote that Jones was “working remotely” like “many employees in today’s world” and that Ohio’s rule prohibiting her from doing so is unconstitutional.
Justices Sharon L. Kennedy and Mary DeGenaro joined Justice DeWine’s opinion.
Attorney Moves to Firm’s Headquarters Jones had been admitted to practice law in Kentucky in 2009 and served as an assistant commonwealth attorney before joining a Louisville law firm in 2014, which merged with Cincinnati-based Dinsmore & Shohl.
In 2015, Jones applied for admission to the Ohio bar and relocated to Dinsmore & Shohl’s Cincinnati office. She continued to practice law exclusively in Kentucky and maintained an office in Louisville for legal matters. The Cincinnati Bar Association recommended approval of her character and fitness to practice in Ohio.
Board Questions Practice The character and fitness board questioned whether Jones was engaged in the unauthorized practice of law and opened an investigation. Jones argued that under the rules she was permitted to provide legal services on a temporary basis while her application was pending. A board hearing panel determined that Prof.Cond.R. 5.5(c) did not apply to Jones and that she was practicing law without authorization. The panel recommended that she stop practicing and engage only in services that could be provided by a law clerk or paralegal.
The board adopted the panel’s decision and recommended the Court disapprove Jones’ application for admission. Jones objected to the decision, arguing that the board misinterpreted the rule and that her constitutional rights under the due process clause and the “privileges and immunities clause” of the U.S. Constitution were being violated.
Court Examines Rule Prof.Cond.R. 5.5(b)(1) prohibits a lawyer not admitted to practice in Ohio from establishing “an office or other systematic and continuous presence in the jurisdiction for the practice of law.” The rule, however, provides exceptions. Prof.Cond.R. 5.5.(c)(2) allows a lawyer to “provide legal services on a temporary basis” if the lawyer is admitted in another U.S. jurisdiction, is in good standing in that jurisdiction, regularly practices law, provides services reasonably related to pending matters in another jurisdiction, and is authorized by law and expects to appear in the pending proceedings.
Justice O’Donnell noted that “temporary” means “lasting for a limited time.” He indicated a comment to the rule provides no single test to determine whether a lawyer’s services are being provided on a “temporary basis.”
The opinion concluded that Jones satisfied the rule’s requirements.
“She is a lawyer who is admitted in Kentucky, is in good standing in that jurisdiction, regularly practices law, and is providing legal services from an office in Ohio, and those services are reasonably related to pending or potential proceedings before tribunals in Kentucky, where she is authorized by law to appear in such proceedings,” Justice O’Donnell wrote:
The Court determined that the length of time she has practiced law in Ohio on a temporary basis covers the time it has taken to resolve her application. Because she was not engaged in the unauthorized practice of law, the Court approved her admission without examination.
Concurrence Finds Rule Unconstitutionally Limits Jones’s Right to Pursue Her Chosen Profession In his concurrence, Justice DeWine disagreed with the majority’s reading of Prof.Cond.R. 5.5. He found that, as written, the rule did prohibit Jones’s conduct, but that the rule “runs afoul of constitutional guarantees.”
“[A]s I see it, the problem is not that the board misread the rule; I’m convinced that the board’s reading is correct,” the concurring opinion stated. “The problem is that as applied here, the rule is irrational and arbitrary and cannot constitutionally be enforced.”
The concurrence noted that Article I, Section 1 of the Ohio Constitution recognizes that all people possess “certain inalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life, liberty, acquiring, possessing, and protecting property, and seeking and obtaining happiness and safety.” The Court has long recognized, he explained, that these liberty and property rights of the state constitution encompass a right to pursue one’s chosen profession.
The concurring opinion also found that Jones’s right to continue in her chosen profession free of unreasonable government interference was protected by the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Under long-established precedent, to satisfy constitutional requirements, a state rule regulating the practice of law must have a “rational connection with the applicant’s fitness or capacity to practice law.”
Justice DeWine noted that Jones did not hold herself out to be an Ohio attorney, did not practice in Ohio courts, and did not advertise for business in Ohio. Her practice was like that of any other Kentucky lawyer—except that “she was working remotely” from Ohio.
“Plainly, as applied to such a lawyer, the rule does not further the state’s interest in protecting the integrity of our court system. Jones, and others like her, are not practicing in Ohio courts. Nor does application of the rule to such lawyers serve the state’s interest in protecting the Ohio public. Jones and others in her situation are not providing services to or holding themselves out as lawyers to the Ohio public.”
2018-0496. In re Application of Jones, Slip Opinion No. 2018-Ohio-4182.

"let's go amé, the race is about to start." beau said while amélia walked towards the paddock, amélia's phone went off, signalling a notification.
hey ames, i was wondering if father's company still accepting field education student? - y/n sis
-
- a year later -
"are you really 100% sure about doing this?" grace asked as y/n was packing the night before leaving for her flight. y/n sighed. "for the last time grace, i am sure. besides nothing bad could happen, it just covering for her, what could go wrong?" y/n asked while placing her silk pajamas on top of the clothes she placed before zipping it up all the way.
grace groaned and gripping onto y/n's shoulders. "things can go wrong when you're trying to be someone you're not." grace replied, making y/n chuckled at her expression. "grace, trust me on this one, yeah?" grace released y/n's shoulders and put her hands up for surrender.
"i'm done, you know what, i'm coming with you."
-
right after y/n and grace retrieved their luggage and passed the security, y/n saw someone she doesn't want to meet once she arrives in monte carlo, marie auclair-thomas. wanting to scrowl, but she cannot do that when her sister's reputation is in her hand. and no one can know about their deal.
marie saw y/n and she smiled. as both y/n and grace approached the lady, the smile got even wider. "y/n, je suis content de te revoir! (i am happy to see you again!)" marie exclaimed as she tried to hug y/n but y/n just stood still in front of her. "not a hugger, got it." marie said to herself while grace just smiled awkwardly, making an appearance in marie's view. "and you must be a friend of y/n!" grace just keep her smile. "my name's grace, mrs thomas."
"please, just call me marie. and let's get going shall we?"
-
"you're here as the company's publicist and grace as the company second publicist, where your job will arranging every company's event schedules and make sure the company's image is in a good shape. you understand that?" marie said as they were on their way to the company for marie to give a short company tour before leaving to nice. grace raised her hand. "quick question marie, but we are social work students, what does being a publicist related to us?" grace asked as y/n snickered to grace's question. marie just smiled. "well, only that position is available in the company and the hr said that, you two will handle the related projects there." marie replied calmly. "as for you y/n, you will be handling our company's charity projects which there will be an auction for the orphanage in america." marie said, which piqued y/n's attention. "why america?" y/n asked. "because it was suggested by your father." maries replied and right then, y/n almost feel anger boiled in her. "is it because of my mum?" y/n asked, almost shouted at marie. "no sweetheart, in fact the project itself was a memorial for your mother-"
"i am not your daughter! and stop using my mum as something you can do to bond with me, i will never accept you and i don't think you can accept me. you're here because you were asked to." y/n bursted out, making the car ride in silent.
"noted on that." marie replied silently and then look outside through the car window.
-
"hey y/n, how was monte carlo? was it in your likings?" amélie asked as she was standing at the balcony in one of las vegas' finest hotel ever. wind blowing her hair, making the breeze mixed with the heat of las vegas felt nice on her skin.
"fine, i think i scared marie to the core." y/n replied, making amélie laughed a bit. "you and your hatred towards her, when will you accept her? she's a nice person y/n." amélie told her, making y/n scoffed at her comment. amélie heard y/n sighed, amélie shooked her head at y/n's reaction. "you and noah, when will you two realized that marie can be a good mother even though she isn't the same as mum." amélie said, remembering their older brother, noah, who currently stayed in canada for his doctoral degree. "anyways, do you still remember the plan?" amélie asked. "yea, just go to the race and that's it right?" y/n asked as amélie smiled. "yes and no worries, just to the front desk and ask for amélie thomas' package and remember sissy, never let other people know about this arrangement." amélie informed as she heard a knock on her door. "i have to go now, talk to you soon sissy!" amélie said and ended the call.
amélie answered the door and revealed her long-term secret boyfriend, xavier ellington. smiling, amélie wrapped her arms around xavier's neck as xavier wrapped his arms around amélie's waist and kissed amélie's neck, making amélie giggled. "i miss you boyfriend." amélie said to xavier's ear. xavier smiled and leaned to amélie's ear, saying "i miss you too girlfriend." and pushed amélie into the hotel room, closing the door and locked it.
-
the elevator's door opened and y/n exited, walked towards the hotel's front desk. "yes miss, may i-uh help you?" the front desk man asked in his french accent. "hi, i'm here for amélie thomas' package." y/n informed as she fixed her hair a bit, making her sister's impression. "yes miss thomas, right away." the front desk man left and went into the back room to retrieved the requested package.
the front desk man placed a small envelope on the front desk table. "here is the package miss thomas." y/n smiled and take the package. "thank you monsieur~" y/n said and left the hotel to the called ride which was arranged by amélie, right before she left for las vegas, making sure y/n followed the plan according to what has been agreed by both parties.
while in the car, y/n opened the envelop and revealed paddock passes for three days. y/n sighed deeply. "what am i going to do with these?" y/n questioned the passes and time flew by, she arrived at the venue, welcomed by her father's assistant, ines. "miss thomas, so good to see you again." ines said as y/n smiled sweetly, wearing her paddock pass. "hi ines, good to see you too. where's father?" y/n asked, using her sister's impression voice. "he had a business trip in italy but he will be available for the next race. for now, i will be accompany you for this week's race." ines informed.
y/n looked around and saw fans here and there, same goes with variety of teams. this was her first time since forever. the last time she went to formula one grand prix was when her mum was still by her side.
"come miss thomas, it is time to meet the team." ines told her as y/n walked behind ines, following her to ferrari's hospitality. "monsieur vasseur, mademoiselle thomas." ines announced as y/n met the team principal, fred vasseur. "ah miss thomas." fred said as he held out his hand. y/n reached for fred's hand and shooked his hand, smiling. "please, call me amélie. this isn't your first time meeting me yes?" y/n said as fred chuckled. "certainly well amélie. how is your father?" "he's good, thank you for asking." y/n informed, following to what amélie guided her before she flew to monte carlo.
"i heard for this week race is one of your drivers' home race yes?" y/n asked, making fred nodded his head yes. "yes, yes it is. charles!" fred called. y/n turned her head to the back and saw a man in red suit, walking towards her way. it felt like a slow motion in y/n's eyes where the said man, charles, walking slowly and smoothly where sun ray hit him perfectly where the ray made his features looked better as if he was a model, walking where the spotlight hit him perfectly. the said man brushed his hair back, making him looked even more ... charming.
"you remember miss thomas yes?" fred asked, making y/n snapped out from her daydreaming. "uh yea, amelia yes?" charles asked, making y/n laughed a bit which caused charles to look at her weirdly. "it's amélie." y/n corrected and charles nodded his head yes, not realizing that fred have left them alone. "uh right." charles said and y/n looked at him. "it's uh, nice to see you charles." y/n said as she held out her hand for a handshake. "you too amélie." charles reached out and shooked y/n's hand. "charles, it's time." a man, probably one of the engineers pat charles' shoulder and said quietly where charles replied with a nod and turned back to y/n. "i uh, i have to go now." charles informed, y/n nodded her head yes. "good luck charles." y/n said as she smiled genuinely.
charles, who felt weird with tingling feeling inside his heart, made a small smile at y/n's way and left her be, still smiling.

She’s a hybrid, a highly illegal creature created by Trade Minister Knut for his personal enjoyment. And she risks a fate worse than death if her existence is ever discovered by Prime Councilor Aav, the most powerful Matriarch in the Ring.
When a tall, arrogant, sapphire blue alien comes to Aveyn, it’s not long before headstrong Ava gets in trouble with him – the new Eok warrior in charge.
Arlen wants nothing to do with his new assignment on Aveyn. All he wants is to return to the violence at the Frontier and drown his broken heart in bloodshed. But he made a deal with his brother, the Commander-in Chief-of the Eok armies: a year of peace for a year of combat. So, Arlen comes to Aveyn fully intent on ruling all those who live there with an iron fist…
… all except a troublesome, gorgeous female whose purple eyes haunt his dreams. When the Mating Venom pushes him to the edge of madness, can Arlen learn to trust in his heart again, or is his soul lost to the bloodlust?
