The church seemed massive over the landscape surrounding it. Large, foreboding, almost monstrous as the overarching walls and towers loom above those who walk past. The walls of the cathedral were once a clean gray at some point, though years of rituals, sacrifice and weathering have stained them darker now. It’s a historical monument, a pillar of greatness and devotion in the eyes of those who are lesser than its members. 

Because that’s what it’s supposed to be at the end of the day, right? A big building that told everyone who went that they were superior to others who chose not to.

The cathedral- that’s a better term for it- follows into the open doors of the building. A large stained glass portrayal of the Messiahs, a version of them at least, seen eons above a podium. A sermon is in session, it would be rude to interrupt now.

“We, as those who choose to follow the teachings of before us, have our own special place in the Dark Carnival…” Says the voice, accented and near emotionless as it continues, “If one of our siblings were to fall for one reason or another, they are not to be mourned… but instead envied… they are able to see what the Mirthful Messiahs have for us when it comes to be… We are not to fall for the temptations of being led astray, the increase of our kind going astray from the path that was made for them by those above our power.” The voice pauses, letting the followers that were listening enraptured cheer at their words, “... To end on a positive note, to be allowed the grace of entering the Dark Carnival is a miracle of itself… We, as a group, have that miracle… I hope you all have a magical night…” The sermon ends, the crowd dispersing as the figure steps off the podium. She seems to talk to a larger and older, far more intimidating purple blood before also dispersing herself….

AURORA SLIVKA walks by herself along the old halls of THE CATHEDRAL. She seems more than content in doing that in SILENCE though there is a nagging feeling she will be unable to do so. She stops finally, turning to YOU as she finally acknowledges your existence. Her EYES seem to bore into YOU as she quietly stares. She seems to be waiting for YOU to tell her what YOU want.
