I bought some Copic markers & dug out my enormous pile of Prismacolor pencils. I am not crazy about how this turned out (don't ask about the big or little green blobs... I dont know either 😱 they felt right at the time). Copic markers will take a lot of gettin used to & previously in another life when I was crazy about color pencils, I used to bear down really hard to get a smooth, flat, and opaque color with them, so you can see controlled the pressure on this, but it looks crayony to me 😑 I have some woodless watercolor pencils, gouache, and gold leaf that I will try out later.... I'll be tracing my original manatee (I printed it out in different sizes) to keep practicing and to try out all the mediums. I need to be able to bring my art with me when I have to travel and ceramics does not travel well. This petite bouquet was picked from a crack in the sidewalk as I was leaving work. These small flowers are easily overlooked because they seem to grow with the weeds. Cheap supplies #illustrationclub sculpt.... @sarahconnorceramics 😊😊 I started this bright bb with air-dry clay before I left for Tennessee last weekend, so im not sure how long it took to dry. I got home yesterday & painted it with some basic acrylic paints, and when that dried, I put specks of glitter glue everywhere. If I had younger kids, this is definitely a project I would love to do with them. Yall, our house it's crazy right now because my husband is putting down new flooring in two rooms, one of which will be my studio Eeeeekkkkk! 😁😁😁 sooooo I can't really work on pottery projects until things are cleared up. So far there are nine animal busts for this series. Since the kiln is still cooling, I will be making more. They may not look like them now, but they are (starting at the back, left to right): llama, giraffe, jackelope, lemur, alpaca, unicorn, rooster, panda, & sloth.
