*I wrote this for a contest today, and felt inspired to share on Tumblr as well 😊*

How Taylor Swift inspires me? How much time do you have? 😂 Currently sneaking to write this at work without getting caught on my phone 😉😂

Taylor once told us, "I'm proud of you for something because regardless of what you're going through at this very moment, you decided to not let it break you." A feeling I will never ever ever forget 💗 

Ever since June 19, 2006 when I first heard "Tim McGraw" playing on the radio, I have been the biggest admirer of this amazing soul! I was just 16 at the time, and I remember being in complete awe of Taylor, and loving the fact that someone my age, was actually on the radio singing about such relatable experiences. Without going into too much detail publicly, as my story is extremely personal, I held on tightly to her debut and Fearless albums throughout my teenage years. I went through a pretty long, extensive, exhausting, and horrific medical nightmare from the ages of 12-18 years old. With multiple surgeries, unanswered questions, multiple blood transfusions, near death moments, and countless nights in the hospital, these albums are something I never stopped playing in my CD player while fighting through it all (....yes I said CD player, seems ancient now a days! 😂)  My doctor's even allowed me to have my earphones in during my surgeries, because they knew just how much Taylor and her music uplifted me, and made me feel less alone and scared. Taylor's words and wisdom have a way of lifting me as well as so many others, and encouraged me to stay strong, keep fighting, and in the end to ultimately do what's best for me and what would help me have the best future. I am forever grateful to Taylor for being the greatest best friend a girl could ever ask for. Even though I've never had the opportunity to meet Taylor, I still refer to her as my best friend, as she has helped me stay strong and keep pushing through everyday of my life. As she does for so many other amazing people ❤️ It sounds cliche, but I don't know where I would be today without @taylorswift and her music, and quite frankly I would never want to know! I really wish for the amazing opportunity to be able to give Taylor the biggest hug, to be able to tell her my story, and to thank her for helping me along the way 💗 someday!
