I determined yesterday that a CAMP build radius can reach inside the Wilson Bros basement... This is a Normal House where Normal Things happen.
My resources aren't locked because Jeff Lane forgot his keys.

Designer consumers. Designer possibilities.
The Uptake turned ten back in February, and I had the itch to breathe a bit of a design refresh for the four face-characters of the series. What started as a doodle ended up a rendered painting, oops.
(If you click through to the project, be mindful of the content warnings. Mature audiences only, please. Both the writing and art are a mix of heavy themes and graphic erotic biopunk-adjacent horror.)

Orphan Black: Echoes - Season 1 – TV Review
TL;DR – This is an interesting spin on the original, that works well within the framework that was set, even if it does not quite get the tone right in places.   ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 3.5 out of 5. Disclosure – I paid for the Stan service that viewed this series.Warning – Contains scenes that may cause distress. Orphan Black: Echoes Review – Back in the day, I was fascinated by this small show out of…

Is your girl gonna say fuck it and spend a ridiculous amount of money to go see her bestie for less than a week so they can catch Josh Ritter in Manchester during the 20th anniversary Hello Starling tour after having already taken a week off in early October for bestie times? MAYBE SO.

Ok!!!! Here’s my list of “when will the countdown stop” theories and the names I’ve given them (including ones that have been disproved, still possible theories have a ‼️ next to them)
UPDATE WEBSITE IS OPEN
Gatsby time theory: countdown stops at 3 hours 14 minutes, the time it takes to read The Great Gatsby (disproved)
Pi time theory: countdown stops at -3:14:15 for Pi, the “end of math” (disproved)
Pi time theory v2: countdown stops at -3:14:15:26 for Pi, the “end of math”, now including the day (disproved)
-3:33:33 theory: countdown stops at -3:33:33, 3 for triangle (disproved)
-6:66:66 theory: countdown stops at -6:66:66, devil’s/demonic number. Bill is a demon. (disproved)
-7:00:00 theory: countdown stops at -7:00:00. Something was found in codes abt it. (disproved)
Mabel theory: countdown stops at -8:00:00. Mabel said smth in GF about -8 as a number. Saw it in a post. (disproved)
7pm PST theory: countdown stops at 7pm PST, some sort of trigger was allegedly found in the website’s code for an event at this time. (disproved)
Reverse time theory: countdown goes until it is the reverse of what it originally was.
Time is an illusion theory: countdown goes forever.
Files theory: there’s something in the files that triggers the countdown to stop and for the next event/announcement/whatever happens
Book theory: there’s something in the book to make the countdown stop, a code or secondary password
Password theory: a password is needed to stop the countdown
Stanley theory: countdown ends at -18:00:00 because that’s how long the portal took in GF (disproved)
True error theory: https://www.tumblr.com/feelsmetal-alchemist/757476967322959872/anyways-i-think-ive-figured-out-the-issue-with
S2 theory: there is a password we need to input, but it cannot be accepted until august 1st, ten years since s2’s release.
End of summer theory: countdown stops at the end of summer (august 31st)
Triangle theory: countdown stops at 3 days, 33 hours, 33 minutes, and 33 seconds (or 4 days 9 hours 33 minutes and 33 seconds). Triangle. (disproved)
SUMMONDAY THEORY: MONDAY END DATE. Jason Ritter’s twitter posted a vignere code that said “you too can end up in a prism of my own design! See you SUMMONDAY!” (Sum)Monday. (disproved)
3 day theory: countdown stops at -3 days. (disproved)
Summonday, the 8th day of the week theory: countdown stops at -8 days, Summonday is the 8th day of the week (according to Jason Ritter post) (disproved)
Idaho theory: (disproved)

idk about u guys but this feels like a riddle… sommonday, 8 days, guarded secret, december 1964, whistleblower, hyperbole.
okay so if summonday is the 8th day of the week, and the countdown began on release day july 23rd, and then 7 days later on july 30th the countdown ended and another countdown in negative time began. if “time is dead and meaning has no meaning” then everything could be malarkey and there’s not gonna be any way to predict what’s gonna happen. but also, maybe time got reset when it “died” and july 30th became day 1/ the first day of the week. we’re currently at day -5 and 19 hrs.
perhaps (based on nothing but the number 8 maybe-clue) on the -8th day of the countdown which falls on august 7th, they’re will be some form of a release/ another clue that hints closer to the answer.
that would make the time from release day to lost files release day 16 days (two weeks if we are counting summonday as the 8th day of the week)
all i’m saying is this feels very much like the brewings of a modern day cipher hunt like maybe it’ll be less about traveling to physical places like the original but instead some sort of wild goose chase treasure hunt online through hopping websites and soundtracks and books from 1925 and just like mixing the media formats. i think the mixed medias in tbob are so incredible and are really what set this book apart as its completely original entity and not just a sequel to journal 3. and with that shift feels very reflective of the era of time we live in now and in no way tries to recreate any previous era. ALSO all the metaphorical foils and parallels that alex hirsch has been begging us to see through the great gatsby are important. the literary connections between bill and gatsby’s characters AND the real life lesson of: we can’t repeat the past, we can’t get back things we lost, if we choose to live in the past it will lead to our demise but if we look to the future and accept what’s happened, we have a chance of building something amazing. (sooo no season 3 ppl like that’s not what any of this is about)
and and side note if the majority of the public believed the government release of the truth about “summonday” to be hyperbole, what about the minority that took it seriously? who are they? did they decide it together? are they in some sort of group/cult together?
the themes of cults, cult leaders, sociopaths, narcissists, and control come to my mind immediately regarding tbob, great gatsby, and now these weird cryptic messages from jason ritter…
sooooo long winded answer later,
i would love it if the countdown would end in 3 days @ -8 days and for it to lead to another link or to a code or to some sort of next step for us all to work together on tumblr and twitter and reddit and discord and all the platforms. thus ushering in the beginning of a new cipher hunt— but not like a cipher hunt 2. this is alex hirsch we’re talking about. i think the stakes will be different and i think it will be much less about physically finding things in the real world and more focused to online clues. and if it does end up being some sort of wild goose chase treasure hunt online i will be sooooo overjoyed.
cause i think that working together to solve mysteries as a collective is where this fandom shines. we make allies, we learn from each other, y’all are all so fucking funny and smart and passionate and genuine and i love hanging out in this community in the space between space and time.
i would love to go on that adventure with y’all cool internet sleuths!!

G/F's robot FD is a lot to take in lol they kept none of the choreo and only one bit of the music from the original gala exh. their control and their skating are impressive, this has big lifts - the balance and strength this takes 😮
these costumes worked better with spotlights in a dark arena. they show when their lines don't match but also blend them together visually. they really could take a page from Madi Chock's alien and make a more subtle and flattering version of these
right now i'm like uhhhhh about this program haha - the opening until the dance spin is kind of sharp - i can see this part working if they really attack it and show off their speed. i don't know what's going on in the 2nd half - the robot theme goes away for big parts of it, the spin is generic, and the ChLi went wrong at the end
Morozov/Chen are now downplaying the Star Wars theme so much - the new costumes look much more like regular skating costumes - that idk if anyone would know what it was supposed to be if you didn't recognize the music. my new theory about them is that she's adaptable and good at reading a partner. and he's high energy but kind of one track minded - he's fine if he can do his thing, but he's not super attuned to the partner, and if you throw him out of his track, big mistakes happen. his last two partners weren't experienced enough to adjust to him, but she is
Neset/Markelov had a bumpy day, with some twizzle issues. WASA teams have a slightly daredevil quality, like in their upside down lift here. we're used to seeing the male partner set the woman down on the ice gently and smoothly. but there are at least 3 moments in this program he releases her to land on her own or sets her down harder than you usually see with other teams. at Lake Placid, there were people who gasped at this 😅
Natacha Lagouge/Arnaud Caffa came in 3rd in the FD and 4th overall - they've progressed a lot in the last couple seasons - they train with Maurizio Margaglio and Neil Brown in Finland. he and Maia Iannetta who was at IAMO were partners for a year way back. the French dance field is getting deeper, and they're able to send all their senior teams out internationally
Ignateva/Szemko's Harley Quinn program i need to see again because it was confusing
Soucisse/Firus's Harry Connick Jr FD is very Carol Lane somehow - i like this program for them. they have some flow when they skate but tend to look a little stiff - like N/M for instance have such softer knees
IAMO teams - Dozzi/Papetti - new costumes! the scores felt a little stingy- like they could have been credited more for the things they're doing well - their musicality, the GOE on the spin and the combo lift, the ChSt. anyway, this program's growing in emotion and flow at each competition
Ritter/Brykalov - this program is beautiful - suits them so well. they wore these costumes at Lake Placid, then wore all black at August sectionals - i wonder why. that opening curve lift is so dramatic. their skating is noticeably stronger now ☺️
Roberts/Alis - i'm so curious who did the choreo for this program - there are parts of it that look like no other program that's come out of IAMO so far - if it feels unique because of the team? their first big senior competition - they did really well - they have a nice connection and comfort with each other

Last month, the FBI raided the homes of Scott Ritter, a former United Nations weapons inspector and critic of American foreign policy, and Dimitri Simes, a former think tank executive and an adviser to Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. In late August, The New York Times reported that these searches were part of the U.S. Justice Department’s “broad criminal investigation into Americans who have worked with Russia’s state television networks.”
In the past two weeks, U.S. officials have taken numerous measures against Russia Today and its affiliates and accelerated police actions against Russia-based individuals and entities accused of covert influence operations, including money laundering, sanctions violations, and unregistered foreign agent work. For example, the Justice Department announced the seizure of 32 Internet domains used in Russian government-directed foreign malign influence campaigns (colloquially referred to as “Doppelganger”), alleging that Russian companies used online domains to impersonate legitimate news entities and unique media brands to spread Russian government propaganda covertly, violating U.S. laws against money laundering and trademarks.
That same day, the Justice Department indicted two Russia-based employees of RT for conspiring to commit money laundering and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act in a $10-million scheme to fund and direct a Tennessee-based company to publish and disseminate information “with hidden Russian-government messaging.” A day later, officials charged Dmitri Simes and his wife with participating in a plot to violate U.S. sanctions and launder money obtained from Russian state television.
About a week later, the U.S. State Department issued a special “alert to the world,” declaring that new information obtained over the past year reveals that Russia Today has “moved beyond being simply a media outlet” and has become “an entity with cyber capabilities” that’s “also engaged in information operations, covert influence, and military procurement.” Washington claims that the Russian government embedded within RT in Spring 2023 an entity “with cyber operational capabilities and ties to Russian intelligence.” Based on these allegations, Meta — the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp — soon announced that it had banned Russia Today and its affiliates from all its platforms.
A day before that big announcement from the State Department, a jury in Tampa, Florida, convicted four American citizens of conspiracy to act as agents of the Russian government. Case evidence first reported by RFE/RL shows that the activists on trial secretly coordinated their activities and received funding from “Anti-Globalization Movement” head Alexander Ionov, who acted on orders from Russia’s Federal Security Service.
To discuss this recent explosion of American police and diplomatic activity targeting RT and Russian covert influence operations in the U.S., The Naked Pravda spoke to RFE/RL journalist Mike Eckel, who coauthored the September 6 report on how Ionov and his FSB handlers “chatted and plotted to sow discord in the United States.”
