“Okay, okay.” August huffs, taking his sweet time anyway just to piss the other off. “Fucking—you don’t have to rush me. Jeez. Do you want to hang out with me that bad, Séb? Did all your other dumb friends finally ditch your ass or something?” Deep in his hoodie’s pockets, his thumb draws circles over his phone’s case as he considers inviting Venus or someone else along to whatever adventure Sébastien has in store for the two of them, just so he doesn’t suffer all by himself. He decides against it. At least for now. “I do hate everything,” August concedes, “but I sincerely doubt that there’s anyone who enjoys getting kidnapped. Kinda why it’s illegal.” Honestly, he would have gone out either way, found his way to some party or another. There were always invites and August didn’t like allowing his brain to run free, always on the hunt for something to keep it quiet. Hell, he would have probably invited Séb along, as well, but he clearly has a reputation to maintain so he makes sure the scowl stays put on his face as he gets in the car. “Where are we off to then, captain? Or am I not allowed to ask?”

“Get in the fucking car! We’re going out!” Was Ches going to be pissed when she found out Séb was not only off doing hijinks, but was dragging August down with him? Probably because as much as he loved his cousin, she was an absolute killjoy when it came to work but it wasn’t like she’d know as long he got August back in time to finish up whatever song he was writing today, right? “And before you say no because you hate it, you hate everything. It’ll be fun.”
