gatsby at the ART closes today… so lucky i got to see it twice let alone at all. genuinely a one of a kind adaptation that goes beyond what the genre has been for musical theater by a mile- especially having seen the recent best musical outsiders beforehand. this was a show that kept the color and tone of the book while morphing it into a truly modern importance and interpretation.
