Callum: Guess who’s getting sugar free. [as his face is pushed he scoffs and reaches out to poke her in the cheek] Relax. She’s making Alex be sociable while she waits. That’s plenty of entertainment. We’re gonna go now. Hey. [nudges her gently] You should go lay on the couch instead. Be social too. AJ hasn’t mastered scaling the baby gate to get upstairs to you yet and he wants to watch that movie Becca and Eli got him. It’s the one with all the songs and as his dad, I’m officially exempting myself from any more musical movies.

AJ: [relaxes in his grandmother’s hold, settling into his feet beside her and taking her hand in a moment of instinct, scrunching his nose up and grinning as Callie kisses it, giggling] Na-Cissty! [looks around him after a moment of realisation] Mama? Dada?

April: [rests her chin on her hand and sighs deeply] The worst.

Cal: You know that’ll never happen. He likes my mom’s cooking too much to never come over again. [raises a brow and gives her a half offended half amused look as she pushes him off but doesn’t comment] Well..sounds like you know all the words already..
