this is my blog to post mainly about my selfship and soulbond with the tenth/fourteenth doctor. its the longest selfship i have, it started over a decade ago. i have other f/os but the doctor matters the most to me, since we have the longest history and are soulbonded. Ten is a daytripper and fronts frequently so be nice! He sees what youre saying to us. I also have a telephone bond with martha jones who im best friends with.

abominably late i know 😭😩😭 i know i haven't done these in time & i really wish I’d been able to do them for the days they were supposed to be done on because i desperately have wanted to do this one because this oc is my favourite, she's been my baby for awhile now & this is the first time i'm making something about her so without further ado, i would like to introduce my good lady: beth dawson 😊

devastatingly, there are no published fics with beth in them yet 😭 i need to get back to writing my au, life unfortunately, does not always find a way 😩 i've always known beth was bisexual that element of her character just flowed so naturally in my planning document, she is a main oc of my canon rewrite au series & first appears in “whenever there is you i will be there too” (the 11 arc of my series) & will stay as a main companion, i was always unsure if i wanted beth to appear before they acquire clara or during the events of the moment because i plan to have the war doctor care very much about her but i have chosen to write her in before clara is invited. when sweet beth first enters the story she is having such a difficult time, her girlfriend broke up with her a month ago, her flatmates are getting married & are moving out so she's finding it difficult to make ends meet at the local pub, she's struggling with her mental health & on the day she finds out the guy she fancies at work has a girlfriend is the same day she encounters a very agitated statue that moves at the speed of light which leads to her saving rose tyler from a very stubborn weeping angel & to the start of something new. (once the doctor, rose & jack promise her that they are absolutely not stalking clara) beth is kind, popular & has a lot of friends, a bubbly personality hides her insecurities & sadness. she is determined & very brave. i have not settled on a love interest for beth yet (my girl deserves the best & nothing but)

The BTB AU is so much fun to write because:

Lostgods makes Lyra out to be extremely queer, though (speaking as the author) his attraction to the other characters is more queerplatonic than outwardly gay, partially due to his status as a digital god who literally experiences all of his victims' thoughts by absorbing them into Sancoline. BTB is where Lyra is explicitly mortal and gay for Arthur, but the conflation of "I am attracted to X" and "I want to snuff out X's hope for humanity and make them submit to my twisted worldview" remains.

I haven't written Val in a long time, and he'd fit right in as the focal point of a monster-in-plain-sight fantasy.

I normally don't like writing Bridget as a princess, but at this point even writing Bridget is fun. Plus, I enjoy having her act out and battle against Tyler, who she only interacted with in canon in the scrapped SECRET Agents sequel, and that was in a much friendlier context.

I'm trying to write Angel as a good guy this time, I swear.

There's this hilarious scene where Julien mentions that their old girlfriend (implied to be Brooke) would kill animals in front of them, and the OC whose current WIP name is Hyun-jung says "How the hell do you queer kids keep dating psychopaths?"

Par exemple, elle n'est pas allée loin de la grande question des fans: si son personnage de Rose aura quelque chose à voir avec la compagne préférée des fans, Rose Tyler. Mais nous avons aussi eu des épisodes très drôles, surtout une fois que Catherine Tate est venue dans la série pour jouer Donna Noble, il semble donc que nous pourrions à nouveau avoir l'ambiance salée/douce d'une saison qui mélange de grandes frayeurs avec des délices hilarants. "Jouer avec Ncuti Gatwa est tout simplement incroyable car nous sommes tous les deux très jeunes aussi, et c'est vraiment agréable d'avoir ça. Il écrit littéralement l'histoire, et je suis vraiment heureux de faire partie de son monde. Yasmin Finney dans le prochain spécial Doctor Who Evidemment, ce n'est pas exactement une coïncidence : bien que Doctor Who a eu un certain nombre de showrunners différents au fil des ans, la prochaine série a Russel T. Davies de retour à la barre. Davies est notamment le showrunner qui a contribué à populariser le renouveau de Doctor Who en 2005 et a réalisé les quatre premières saisons avant de passer le relais au nouveau showrunner Steven Moffat. D'après les déclarations de Yasmin Finney sur la nouvelle saison effrayante, Davies nous a apporté les Weeping Angels, a rendu The Master effrayant à nouveau et a généralement maîtrisé l'art de faire en sorte que les nouveaux fans de Who se cachent derrière leurs canapés tout en regardant, tout comme leurs parents l'ont fait il y a bien longtemps.

Bien qu'une partie de nous souhaite que Finney puisse en dire plus sur la prochaine saison de Doctor Who, nous ne pouvons pas nous empêcher de trouver cela un peu charmant et rafraîchissant que nous ne sachions pas exactement à quoi s'attendre de cette vénérable franchise alors qu'elle avance vers son 60e anniversaire et, pour la première fois, à Disney+. Jusqu'à dernièrement, il y a beaucoup à espérer, y compris le retour de Davies, le retour de Tennant et l'introduction de l'étoile montante Ncuti Gatwa en qualité de docteur. Et désormais que nous savons que la nouvelle saison sera pleine de frayeurs emblématiques, nous ne pouvons pas attendre les épisodes qui nous font tellement peur que nous aurons besoin de nourriture réconfortante (vous ne mangez pas ces bâtonnets de poisson et cette crème anglaise, n'est-ce pas ?) .

Torchwood Fan Fests presents: the Doctor Who Crossover Fest!

We are launching the Doctor Who Crossover Fest!

The theme for this fest is Torchwood coming in contact with anything and everything Doctor Who-related! From the Doctor themself to any of the villains, companions, one-off minor characters, DW episodes, nothing is off the table! This includes crossovers with The Sarah Jane Adventures and Class, as well as any Big Finish audios, expanded universe novels, comics, films, radio plays, etcetera.

This fest will not require signing up, all you have to do is make a fanwork that fits the theme, make a tumblr post with it (or with a link), and submit it for us to reblog! (Please remember to add the required content warnings in the post! ) 

This fest will run from April 29th until June 16th. You can submit your fanworks at any point during this timeframe. The ao3 collection for this fest will remain open throughout so anyone can add fics to it as usual (link in the notes).

We are accepting any and all types of fanworks, with the usual requirements: minimum 500 word count for writing (fic, meta, not!fic, and headcanons; poetry is exempt from this requirement), and 3-songs minimum for playlists plus a short explanation for why you picked each song. There are no requirements for art, gifsets, edits, etc. Just remember our content warning policy!

We are providing 8 very general prompts in the hopes of both illustrating the kinds of stories and scenarios you can delve into for this fest and to use as inspiration for your fanworks. However, you don’t need to use any of them; your fanworks need only fit the general theme. The prompts are so broad that anything that fits the theme will fit at least one of them, though :)

The prompts are:

Torchwood* interacts with any incarnation of the Doctor (knowing who they are or not)

Torchwood interacts with a companion

Torchwood interacts with a supporting or minor character (like Jackie Tyler, Danny Pink, Tish Jones, Ashildr/Me, the Face of Boe, Lady Cassandra, etc.)

Torchwood has to face a DW villain, monster or challenge (Daleks, Weeping angels, Vasha Nerada, the Master, Zygons, the Minotaur, the Kantrofarri, whatever that thing was in ‘Midnight’, etc.)

Torchwood interacts with any characters from The Sarah Jane Adventures and/or Class

The Torchwood point of view of a Doctor Who episode (The Poison Sky, Boom Town, Army of Ghosts/Doomsday, Smith and Jones, Partners in Crime, etc.), either as it is happening or dealing with the buildup or aftermath

AU where a Torchwood character is a companion/Time Lord (whether an incarnation of the Doctor or another Time Lord)

Torchwood shows up in a Doctor Who episode (this includes canon-divergence AUs where the team interacts with the Doctor and/or companions and canon-compliant scenarios where Torchwood characters remain out of sight of them but are around, fixing things in the background or even walking right past the danger and not realising)

*In all of the prompts, ‘Torchwood’ refers to any character of the show. It can be the whole team, part of the team, a previous or future Torchwood agent, someone from Torchwood One, a Torchwood side character or one-off character that is not part of Torchwood Three (like Andy, Rhys, Mary, John Hart, Rhiannon, Bilis Manger, Norton Folgate, etc), anyone from the show or from the Torchwood extended universe counts!

this was so hard to figure out so you absolutely need to help me out, i was way too into btvs as a kid and i have Opinions, here’s my season one castings, so,

tyler as buffypretty boy and a Huge Mess. not taken seriously, can be a big baby and makes mistakes, but always takes responsibility for them. will always, always, step up to the challenge.

jagr as giles  this is almost solely based on the fact that it would be hilarious. tyler’s watcher is a big ridiculous man with a luscious mullet.

marchy as xanderif xander wasn’t a gross douche. bros bros bros. maybe a little bit of a crush on tyler. comedic relief who’s ready to throw hands. prone to screaming.taylor hall as cordeliabeautiful and bitchy. savage and hilarious. tyler’s competition in Life. (let me tell u i screamed when i realized hallsy is the perfect cordy, my fav forever.)

jamie as willow young jamie’s personality fits willow so well, shy and unsure but smart and underestimated -- but he’s going to get stronger and surer and unstoppable, thanks to tyler. welcome to my buffy au where buffy and willow end up together, i guess. (i weep that jamie doesn’t fit the spike casting.)
