Fic tropes? Hmmmm idk here’s some I like I could think of on the spot-

Hanahaki ouuugh I don’t read a lot of it but hanahaki it’s so good. Specifically I like that non-fatal hanahaki idea and that there’s so many different ideas inside of that. Seasonal hanahaki??? (bitch with allergies I get ya) Hanahaki where the specific flower type means something? PLATONIC HANAHAKI??! it’s all fantastic

I also really like soulmate aus. Like they can be cute and silly and there’s some good fucking ones out there and I love the nuance and issues that come up with them. All of those ‘what would casual dating be like in a soulmate universe’ or ‘how do aroace people fit into a soulmate universe’ or ‘could there be poly relationships in a soulmate universe’ and questions like that make it all the more interesting to me. And if you don’t want to go into that then they’re just cute as a surface level idea!

Idk if you can TELL but I also really like Historical AUs :3 Modern AUs I don’t like as much but you CAN do them right

In MY opinion….

Childhood best friends to lovers is like. fine? I see the appeal and stuff it’s fine don’t get me wrong but I feel like when I’m going for a fic I feel like those ones are always less. juicy if that makes sense. I get the appeal of ‘they know everything about each other!!!’ but there’s no drama there. Nothing wrong with it I’ll read it but it’s not something I’m drawn to. Also haven’t gotten obsessed with a ship with that dynamic so that might change when I do

Amnesia. It’s fine and I’ve done it before but again it’s just not something I’m always drawn to, especially if it’s like a ship dynamic. I think like familial and platonic amnesia ones are fun but that ‘oh I used to be in love with this person and now I don’t remember them’ isn’t something that pulls me in or I go looking for for some reason

High school AUs ig? Idk I never end up relating to them and they just feel so. inconsequential. Like why would you put them in a normal-ass high school scenario when you could make them. idk cowboys or something. Again nothing wrong with them I’m just not drawn to them but I’ll interact with them and can get invested!! I think this falls into why I don’t like Modern AUs as much it all just feels so plain

started thinking about the lore for the td x kamen rider au.....hmmmm

i think im gonna have an arc where heather just fucking loses it and kills someone, just for fun. i think the 'hero' should have the right to be mentally unstable but still does the right thing. like yes girl you may not care about your own wellbeing and will fight until you die but you fight because you care about others. its not quite good but youre getting there pookie, keep it up

also i think another fun arc would be where the gang meet their 'evil' versions, where the belts were unstable and fused to their bodies, morphing them into horrific creatures but its actually just fucked up and depressing because all the evil variants want is to be put out of their misery because they have no control over their actions and their own world has gone to shit. the tried and true kamen rider method of being silly and goofy but also having very dark and heavy underlying themes <3
