Is The Blood Thicker?: A change of plans.

"How did you arrive here?" Florian asked the triplets.

He and his sister had been the first to leave the house, it was impossible that they had arrived earlier...

Gabrielle noticed how their shoes were covered by a thick cover of wet sand, and the ends of their jeans were soaked.

"A long time ago, we finally convinced Grandpa to lend us a few boats that are in the little beach next to the cliffs, behind the house," explained Royce.

"Spence can take us from Clay River to the city in no time and without anyone noticing."

"Great!" exclaimed Isadora, appearing from behind Gabrielle. She then pointed her thumb in direction of the manor. "Then you have to go back without anyone noticing as well. And take me as well, of course."

The plan had changed slightly: Isadora and the triplets would go back to Clay River and search for more information in the library, while Elaine and Gabrielle would try to find information about breaking charms in some of the magic shops downtown. Lastly, Isaac and Florian would go to the University's Library.

"Why are we diving that way? Wouldn't it make more sense if Florian and I go together?" Gabrielle wasn't convinced of leaving his brother alone. She didn't think that Isaac would be able to hurt him, but she also had to remember that her cousin was fighting to become the Heir.

"Maybe," agreed Isadora, "but Florian can stop time, and the Library has a limited schedule if you compare it with the rest of places. The three of them and me- she pointed and the elemental users- have to return, because it wouldn't make sense for me to go to magic shops, and nobody would believe if they went either. So the only ones who can go eould be Elaine and you. It won't look sketchy."

Spending the whole day with Elaine. Great. Gabrielle couldn't think of anything she'd like more.

"Where are Isaac and Elaine now?" asked Florian, switching his weight from one leg to another. He had never been into the University's Library and was trying not to think of everything that could go wrong.

"Isaac's waiting for you there already. I think Elaine won't take long to come and meet you here- when I managed to go she was trying to deceive her mother to leave as well. It seemed like she had it all under contro, though."

So Florian kept walking to Duskshore, while Isadora, Spence, Royce and Max bordered the bridge and went downt to the river. Gabrielle saw how Spence took out from under the structure a boat he had hidden before, and then he jumped in. The boat rocked slightly to the sides when it was Isadora's turn and, after stabilizing it, she made the triplets promise that they would all arrive home safe and sound. And, more importantly, dry.

Gabrielle let her weight fall against the side of the bridge and closed her eyes, feeling the atutmn chill around her.

Colour of the Season

I heard from many friends of mine that dislike Autumn, they think it represents dying. Especially the infamous Swedish autumn weather, rainy, cold, grey, it drags you to depression. It’s true, but not entirely.

I personally LOVE autumn, it is my favourite season regardless of in which weather condition. Autumn always make me calm, slow pace, summarise the past half year and plan for the coming year. 

The colour of autumn here is like God spilled paint by accident.

Fall in Colorado; because of the wildfires burning in WY it's been very hazy here.  My wide angle shots aren't as crisp as I would like them, though I do enjoy the effect on the horizon.
