there was something about your pretty little accent that got art's damn mind spinning. clear, sort of clipped and lilting, the typa accent one could only get from living in the big old city of new york. you were his boss's daughter, which made it all the more sinful when he imagined that accent in... other (less proper) situations he shouldn't've been. unlike the other ranch-hands, he kept a polite distance. he didn't leer or ogle at you as you walked by â his momma taught him better than that â but he sure as hell wanted to as you bent down to pick up something from the front seat of your convertible. tiny little white skirt rising higher and higher and higher and higher and art was hooked. oh how he would love to ruin you, daddy's dear little girl visiting carp for the summer. oh how he would love to grab you by those meaty thighs, defile you 'till you were crying his name. oh how he would love.
he trudges through the mud up to the ranch house, all done for the day and ready to wash up in the worker's quarters in the back. his legs feel like lead after hours of wrangling the cattle and fixing fences in the blistering sun. the thin flannel he wore today clung to his skin, soaked through with sweat. before he even gets to look in mirror, he knows his face is all ruddy-like and burnt, even though his hat supposed to be protecting the damn sunburn that made his cheeks string.
he splashed cold water on his face. he grabbed an old rag to wipe his face, just about ready to head to the showers, when he heard itâthat damn voice, right behind him.
he turned, and there you were. standing in the doorway, looking a little out of place in your crisp, white summer dress. your eyes scanned the tiny room like you werenât sure if you should be there or not, and art figured you probably didnât have much reason to be back here.
you gave a sheepish smile. "hi⌠i, uh, think i got a little lost. do you know where the main house is?"
heâd dreamed 'bout this moment before, though maybe not quite like this. you, standing there all pretty, looking gorgeous in your spotless attire, while he was still dripping in sweat and grime. the polite distance heâd vowed to keep suddenly felt a lot tougher to maintain now that you were looking at him, lips slightly parted as you waited for an answer.
he rubbed a hand over the back of his neck, trying to focus on your face. "main house is back that way," he drawled, pointing out the direction you missed. his voice came out rougher than he meant it to. "reckon you took a wrong turn."
you smiled wider, stepping a bit closer. damn near makes him swallow his own tongue. "thanks," you reply, your tone light, conversational. "still trying to figure out my way around."
art nodded, eyes flicking up to meet yours, though his heart was beating faster than it shouldâve been. he shifted on his feet, gaze shifting from your eyes down to your lips down to your chest down to your thighs down to â back to your eyes.
"i can walk you back if you want," he offered, tipping his hat back slightly, trying to stay cool about it, but hell, you already had him wrapped around your finger and didnât even know it.
you gave him a slow nod, tongue flitting out to lick at your lips. "i'd appreciate that, thank you."
as the two of you made your way back to the main house, art tried his best not to tip over sideways at the sheer thought of you being this close to him. he feels like a pathetic little dog, all worked up over you just walking in line with him, brushing your arm against his every once in awhile. he's so focused on keeping his cheeks from flushing that he doesn't hear you the first time.
"hello?"
art blinked, shaking himself out of his daze. "huh? oh, sorry, darlin' âdidnât catch that."
you tilted your head slightly, a playful smile on your lips as you repeated your question. "what's your name? i'm y/n."
"art," he cursed himself for his curt response, but you didn't seem to notice, bright smile still holding as you nodded.
"nice to meet you, art." your gaze held his with a sort of lingering intensity that unfortunately made art's pants tighten even further than before. "so, what do else do you do here in carp when you're not showing lost city people around?"
art shrugs, hands stuffed in his pockets. "dunno. i work, i guess."
you roll your eyes slightly and nudge at him with your elbow. "okay. what about for fun?"
art shifted awkwardly, feeling your elbow nudge him gently, sending a spark down his spine. he cleared his throat, "fun?" he repeated, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. "ainât much time for that out here, if Iâm beinâ honest. mostly work, and maybe a beer with the boys now and then."
you let out a soft laugh, the sound teasing him in all the right ways. "thatâs all? no girls? no beautiful maiden waiting around for you to finish all this hard work?"
art swallowed hard. he glanced down at his boots for a second, trying to collect himself, then back at you. "no, maâam. no one special like that," he muttered. "guess I ainât much for courtinâ these days."
your lips curved into a lazy smirk. "hmm. thatâs a shame. a guy like you? figured the girls would be lined up." your eyes glint with a darkness that art knew all too well. it was the same hungry look he felt in his own gaze, pupils dilated and eyes half-lidded with desire.
art rubbed the back of his neck, trying not to flush under the heat of your stare. he bit at the inside of his cheek, his self-restraint fraying as he fought the urge to just jump at you right then and there.
as you neared the main house, art's mind shifted to your father. the last thing he wanted was for the boss to catch wind of any unprofessional behavior. with a deep breath, art managed a strained smile, trying to redirect the rising heat in his chest. "well, here we are. better get you inside before your dad starts wonderin' where youâve been."
you glanced at him with a smirk, seemingly unfazed as you adjusted your skirt. "funny thing, art," you said, your voice low and sultry, "i think daddy's still out of town. he won't be back 'till tomorrow." you took a step closer, hands reaching out to dust off art's collar.
he swallows hard at the feeling of your finger brushing against his neck. "we got the place to ourselves then, huh?" art drawls, voice rough and husky with barely contained desire.
"looks like it." your arms wrapped around his neck, finger curling around a stray blond locked as you watched art's face contort. deciding, deciding, decided. his hands found your hips, and with a light tap to your thigh, you jumped into his arms, kissing him hard.
your lips were warm and soft, and they parted slightly as art slipped his tongue inside, his one hand scrabbling for the front door handle. it clicked open and he stumbled inside, heading straight for the living room. your fingertips brush softly against his back as he sits down on a couch, letting you straddle him at the hips. he's still sweaty, but you seem to like it, burrowing your head in his neck as he nips at yours, breathing in the sharp, musky smell of him.
the both of you pant heavily as you scrambled to take of his shirt, and then him your dress. art presses slobbery kisses down your chest and torso, salivating at the sight of your little blue panties, pressed down against his crotch. little sighs and moans left your lips as he trailed his fingers along with his mouth, to the very top of your underwear, kissing along the seam. before you can object, he's shifted you over and laid down. "hop on, darlin'," he mumbles, referring to his mouth as you pull off your panties. hesitantly, you crawl up his chest. apparently not quick enough for art, he hooks an arm around your waist and places you on his face himself, moaning at the pure scent of you.
he starts by kissing the inside of your right thigh, then suckling the inside of your left. he revels in your scent for a few more seconds before burying his face inside you, lapping you up with long, thick licks against your folds. you squeal when you first feel his (clearly) expert tongue against you, flexing and swirling as he find your sweet spots immediately. it hasn't even been 5 seconds when he stops with a pop! - peeking out from under your thighs with a wild expression on his face. his hat is tipped over under him, the rim sticking out from behind his unruly blond locks. "you're hoverin'. " he was right, you were, too scared to put your full weight on this poor man you had met not half an hour ago. "sit on my face, baby, please," he practically whimpers.
and how could you say no? eyes wide, face slick with your juices, looking so goddamn angelic â you couldn't. and even though you were scared to crush him, craving the feeling of his tongue inside you again, you sit â nice and proper this time.
he starts up again with a kind of feverish intensity you could only expect from a starved man. you moan and whimper on his face, scratching against his scalp as you looked for something to grip onto. art groans in pleasure against your folds when you tug at his hair, his grip that of iron as he holds you down by the hips hard enough to bruise. his other hand is groping at your tits, pinching and swirling at the nipples as he watches you shake on his tongue.
his own dick is being completely ignored, even though it's brick-hard and leaking enough pre-cum you can see it through his pants. the only pleasure he needs is your sweet little whines and needy moans as he laps up your juices like your pussy is the holy grail. before you even know it, he's driven you through orgasm after orgasm, happily sucking away at your cunt as you squirm and scream on top of him. "ohmygod, art. oh my fucking god!" your yells are loud enough that your little boyfriends from new york could probably hear you.
and after he's been there for so long your head's rolling, and your clit is swollen and overstimulated, he's finally done, pulling back to rest his face on your thighs. his cheeks leave your own slick against your legs, nose shiny at the tip but with a big old stupid grin on his face. you're panting, pussy throbbing and puffy as you rake your fingers though his hair, looking down at him with your mouth agape. "holy shit, art."
his grin grows even wider as he watches you, fingers rubbing lazy circles on your hips as you struggle to compose yourself. "am i good?" he asks, already certain of the answer, but eager to boost his ego even more.
you nod, eyes dazed and glossy as you ran your hands over his cheeks. "so good, art. holy fucking hell." you could already hear him boasting to all the other ranch hands in his stupidly attractive little southern accent â i made that city girl cum 5 times on my tongue!
he nods slowly in response, pretty eyes looking up at you all proud. "that's what i like to hear, darlin'."
the next thing he heard made his heart sink all the way from where it was, up in the clouds all dazed, to his stomach. the front door click open, and the booming voice of your father, "baby, i'm home!"
you'd heard it before him, and you jumped off of his chest and pulled your dress back on before poor art even had time to register what was happening. you sat straight up next to him, looking perfect â albeit a little red, as your terrifyingly massive father stomped into the room. his expression changed from exhaustion to pure anger as he took in art, sprawled half-way up on the couch, shirt off and hair a mess. "what the hell do you think you're doing?" he roared from across the room.
"get out of my damn house!" your father bellowed. art scrambled off of the couch, grabbing his hat from under his head. clumsy and hurried as he fumbled with his shirt. you were too stunned to move, thighs still throbbing, as he sprinted out of the back door before your father could make it to him. the barrel of a man slammed the door behind him, making you wince.
as art scurried down the backyard and past the worker's quarters, shirt still off and hat placed haphazardly on his head, the first thoughts in his head was â 'i am so fucking sacked.' the next ones placed a lazy smile on his face. 'goddamn, that was worth it.'

Sandman s2, confirmed news!
I see a lot of speculation on the topic, so as someone who has closely followed and confirmed information, I am comprising this thread of confirmed Season 2 leaks that I will update regularly.
This is inspired by @orionsangel86 rant, and I have no real following here for people to listen to me, but I hope this will allow the fandom to discover me as a Sandman creator.
All information has been thoroughly confirmed, and some of it was found by me. I will try to keep the chronological order:
1. Ruairi O'Connor is our Orpheus
Well...I don't have to explain, the man's face is on there, plus Melissanthi Mahut follows him on Instagram
2. Esme Creed Miles is our Delirium
Back in August, we suspected Esme Creed Miles had joined the cast of the Sandman as our Delirium when Lourdes Faberes posted this picture with this caption:
Soon after the entire cast followed Esme and since then have interacted and been in the same place multiple times including last week when Donna and Mason were filming:
3. Barry Soloane is our Destruction
His wife spoiled it, and he has it on top of his acting credits. He is followed by all of the Endless and Neil on Instagram, and they interact regularly.
4. Midsummer Night's dream is filmed/being filmed
As you can see from this leaked call sheet from the same day, the scenes included elves and fairies + the caravan + the people who asked what was filmed on their walk basically confirms Midsummer Night's Dream
5. Wanda and Ruby's characters are being merged and are being played by Indya Moore
We have no further information on the changing of storylines.
+ a lot of minor roles have been confirmed as well but those are of no vitality.
6. Names of six of the supposed 12 episodes have leaked
(In no particular order)
"Season of Mists"
"Brief Lives"
"Family Blood"
"The Song of Orpheus"
"The Ruler of Hell"
"More Devils Than Vast Hell Can Hold"
Source is WhatsOnNetflix (reliable source)
!!The next ones are speculations since we cannot confirm them but it is quite likely as timelines fit:
1. Ferdinand Kingsley has filmed the Season of Mists dream sequence
The only clue we have of that, is that he maintained a hairstyle similar to Hob's with a longer beard for a while and has recently chopped it all off.
2. Filming of "Season of Mists" in Brighton Pavillion on the 20th of February
According to eyewitnesses, the production was humongous, the extras and actors were dressed in gothic/mythical/monster/horror attire, which excludes the location from being Destiny's garden or have anything to do with the Family dinner, leaving Season of Mists as the most plausible conclusion
3. On-site location filming on Castle Arce in the week of March 15th
The Castle Arce area has lots of mazey parts, dare I say Destiny's garden, but that is pure speculation. (I just found these so I have not had the time to decipher them properly).
3. Destiny will be POC
I sincerely hope that to be true. The only semi-clue we have that suggests this might be true is the picture from Lourdes (above with Esme) and the fact that Adrian Lester is in the picture, but he is not part of the cast or seen in leaks anywhere. We hope for news soon.
That's it, folks.
Those are all leaks compiled in a comprehensive list to avoid further speculation. I will be updating the list accordingly and if anyone has questions, feel free to send them my way, I feel confident in all the ones that we have confirmed to be true.
Love,
Li

pairing: mason mount x fem!reader [she/her]
warning(s): none
summary: the one where the maid and man of honour talk about the future prospects regarding their relationship
author's note: last one for while 'cause of exams (as if i don't already post irregularly :/), but anyways, enjoy!
Managing the wedding of your friends was definitely a task, especially if it's your first time and you are just one or two people. And as the maid and man of honour, Y/N and Mason had to come to learn that over the last few days.
There was more to learn than anticipated by the pair. It wasn't simply just being paired together as a bridesmaid or groomsman or being the right-hand person for the bride and groom; there was so much to those roles. It was providing emotional support the night before, making sure the wedding wouldn't collapse last minute, advising the bridesmaids and the groomsmen to always act accordingly, being the adults amongst the adults and probably much more.
And when you put all of that together, it was, of course, exhausting and challenging for two people, taking more than enough voice and strength and tolerance. Being the voice of reason for those solvable problems, being the spontaneous therapist moments before the wedding ceremonyâthey weren't for the weak, one needed strength beyond the physical one to manage well.
But it was okay. 'Cause when it was all said and doneâthe pre-wedding celebrations, the downtime the night before, the mini breakdowns and moments of doubt before the ceremonyâthere was the wedding ceremony, and it was wonderful. The bride, the husband, the family and friends and the culture embedded into every last detail of the event, from the decorations to the attires worn by everyone. When you get a result like that, there was no reason to allow any negativity to persevere during a happy moment.
As the day passed quickly, so did the wedding celebrations, from the ceremony and the pictures all the way to the reception that continued well into the night; when Mason and Y/N were finally able to find one another again.
Sitting by the private beach, it was a mellow environment they were givenâa nice sight to witness, one easy to picture even with your eyes close. Comfortable with their place in the sand, appropriately loud music from the venue further up to the beach, waves kindly sliding over and under one another, the laughter of kids playing close by the shore accompanied by older siblings acting as babysitters and vibrant and solace everywhere you chose to look.
Mason knocked his knee against her own. "How have you been?"
Upon arriving at the wedding destination, the bridesmaids and the groomsmen were immediately split so they hadn't had much time together. Of course, Mason and Y/N had been seeing each other through the days, passing one another during wedding rehearsals or while passing on messages for the newly-wed couple when they weren't allowed to see each other. Other than that, their reasons for seeing one another wasn't actually rooted in seeing one another; either it was out of coincidence or for the purpose of the wedding.
Y/N swayed her head as she sat up, humming. "How was my day?" She had to say the question out loud to think. All of her thoughts were still fixed to be centred around the bride and her needs. She hadn't really had the time to focus on her own self, to process her own state of mind. "It was... it was really good."
"Is that so?" A smirk began to form across Mason's face. "I'm hearing you ladies went crazy with the bachelorette party, and a certain someone went even crazier. I didn't get any names but I'm gonna assumeâ
Y/N shoved Mason into the sand, causing him to let a laugh. "And that's how it's gonna stay: an assumption."
Mason took in a deep breath as he sat up, still letting out some of his laughter. "You don't have to hide it, love. I know you well," he picked up the bridal bouquet from the sand, the ever one his girlfriend had caught a little under an hour ago. "I mean, c'mon. We all saw. I even recorded it if you don't remember."
"And I had fun with it, Mason."
"And you had fun with it, of course," he kissed her cheek before offering the bridal bouquet, "that's all that matters."
Without hesitation, Y/N took the bouquet in her hands. She attempted to appear nonchalant about it, trying to observe the flowers in an unbothered manner. Though as soon as they were fully in her grasp, she couldn't help but smile shyly as she let her eyes admire the bundle of flowers, twirling them between her hands in delight and excitement.
And thatâher happinessâquickly became Mason's happiness. Not only for the flowers' positive impact on Y/N's mood but also it got Mason wondering and thinking about various things surrounding, well, him and Y/N.
"Does it ever get you thinking about certain things..." Mason played with the sand, "being a maid of honour and all?"
"Thinking about what?" Though as soon as she lifted her eyes, she noticed his eyes on the flowers and then it all came to her. That thing we called marriage. "Oh... about that?"
"Yeah, I guess," Mason shrugged. He wished he could've introduced the conversation a little better. 'Cause it was far too awkward and strained for a topic that required mature adults to be handled with fluency.
"I don't know... Like what?" Y/N, like her partner, was lost in the conversation; lost in what she should say, lost in what about the topic would be discussed, lost in where the conversation would be going 'cause really, it could go in almost any direction.
"Anything. I guess just anything about us in the future," Mason rubbed his palms against his shorts as he inhaled a long breath. "I always wonder, like, if we do stay together and persevere, what will things for us be like? Where will we live? How will our relationship change for the better or worse? How many kids will weâ"
Y/N quickly raised her hand, placing it on Mason's shoulder. "Woah, woah, woah, relax there," she said with widened eyes. Suddenly, she was more in tune with the conversation than the last few minutes. "Maybe we're thinking a bit too far into the future."
"Yeah, that was a bit sudden." Mason let himself think for a moment, his eyes wondering on the young kids passing by. "Let me ask a better question: what would you like our wedding to be like?"
"Our wedding? I mean I don't know." And yet all the words would eventually come to her so easily, without much thought. "Something small and nice... like enough for family and friends, but not enough that everyone everyone gotta be there. Maybe somewhere close to home, a cosy picturesque location, you know? Just a place where we could also spend our honeymoon in peace, adventure small towns and villages, and maybe some historical places," Y/N leaned back in her place a bit, "But yeah... that's just me."
"That's the whole point, Y/N. It's your wedding," Mason chuckled as he pulled his girlfriend close to him, "You're supposed to do and have whatever you want."
"I know," she exhaled, too joining with the laughter, one they both found restoring and soothing. It wasn't enough to counter all the stress from the past week, but enough to relax into the conversation just a bit more. "I just didn't anticipate this conversation tonight." Y/N really didn't. After managing the wedding of her friends over the last few weeks, she hadn't really had much time to stop and wonder about her relationship's future and outlook. She turned to Mason and wondered, "What about you? It wouldn't just be my wedding."
"I don't really have anything in mind to be honest. Besides, if it ever comes to it, you know, getting married 'n allâwhich we willâit doesn't matter what we have or where we are. Luxurious wedding, getting elopedâthe part where you say I do is more than enough for me."
Surrounded by vibrant colours and a lovely, mellow environment, the couple turned to one another and found themselves smiling galore at each other, exchanging a lack of words as they observed one another, heads tilted in wonder. In those gazesâin their eyesâthere was admiration and happiness and affection that were all genuine and bracing to experience together.
In truth, there was this admiration and happiness and affection because there was a lot of conviction in their words towards the other. And considering their minds for the last few days have been racing for their friends' relationship, it was refreshing to talk about their own. On a day when nothing seemed to be about them, it was nice to dedicate a small moment to themselves.

offsides (mason m.) - chapter one
summary : when miscommunication on her brother's behalf causes y/n to be unpunctual picking up her six-year-old nephew ollie, she meets chelsea's pronounced golden boy who was delightful enough to wait with him. for mason, it was love at first sight. for y/n, he was just her nephew's football coach.
word count : 2,926
fingers anxiously drummed along the steering wheel as you hummed the lyrics to the song that played on the radio.Â
you were late.
but truth be told, it wasnât even your fault for being unpunctual. Â
if your older brother, charlie, had informed you twenty-four hours prior that he needed assistance picking up your six-year-old nephew oliver, you wouldâve been keener on intaking more water and less tequila last night. however, he had forgotten and now you were left to endure the judgemental stares from the faculty due to your tardiness.Â
glancing briefly at yourself through the rearview mirror, you came to the conclusion that not only were the staff going to be gossiping about your late arrival but your attire as well. having little time to properly get dressed after you ended the phone call with charlie, you mindlessly threw on the first articles of clothing your hands had touched on your bedroom floor, not even bothering to see if your shoes had matched as you dashed out of your flat.Â
apprehensively looking up at the traffic light that has yet to turn the desired color, you begin to slightly debate if faith was against you at this given moment, if you were being punished for going out on a sunday night rather than attending church that morning.Â
if you were only five minutes late picking oliver, you wouldnât have been sweating bullets as you are now.Â
if you were only ten minutes late, you figured oliverâs football coach would understand and agree that the traffic going towards stamford bridge was always a pain.Â
however, you werenât five, ten or even fifteen minutes late, you were thirty and you were having a difficult time suppressing the irritation you felt towards your older brother for not properly communicating with you.Â
you knew that the benefit of the doubt should be thrown his way due to the circumstances that these past few months have brought, having gone from co-parenting to having to do it all on his own, it had been a tiring adjustment for charlie. you had offered to help as much as you can, with you being newly graduated from university you had a lot of free time on your hands. so thatâs how you found yourself speeding through the streets of cobham, crying your way out of a ticket and almost forgetting to place your car in park as you flew out of the driverâs side.Â
briskly walking to the entrance, you began to try to look presentable despite the pounding headache you were enduring, smoothing out your hair and tugging down your oversized shirt that barely covered your bottom half. you could just imagine the stares now, all eyes on you and your skimpy outfit.Â
if you werenât in an hastened mood to collect your nephew, you wouldâve properly admired the stadium before your eyes. despite growing up in cobham all your life, you never found the time or interest in supporting your home team. football games had always been a thing between your father and brother, and then oliver was introduced when he was old enough to realize what was going on.Â
if someone were to put a gun to your head and tell you to explain what offsides meant, youâd be dead.Â
frantically looking around for a familiar head of curly brown hair, you were sure you looked like a deranged individual. the feeling of uneasiness in your stomach only grew when you couldnât locate him. you could only imagine the conversation you were going to have with your brother on how you lost his only son. then at the exact moment you began to hear footsteps then the recognizable laugh that belonged to your nephew filled the air.Â
turning the corner, oliver had the widest grin on his face. he showcased the small gap that remained empty due to his two missing teeth as he conversed with the unknown man beside him. you had never seen the guy that stood alongside your nephew, and you were positive youâd remembered crossing paths with someone like him. Â
âollie!â you shouted at your nephew, waving your hand above your head to grab his attention.Â
oliverâs doe eyes quizzically scan the room, he turned his attention away from the man and towards the voice that called for him. you didnât think it was possible but oliverâs smile only grew when his big brown eyes settled on your figure, forgetting all about the unknown man as his microscopic legs picked up speed and gravitated towards you.Â
oliver looked as if he had just been rolling around in grass for the past two hours, hair pointed in different directions, football kit stained with grass marks along with his cleats that were trailing dirt wherever he stepped.
âfinally! i was thinking you forgot about me.â oliver joked, his practice bag being dragged behind him as he approached you. just by his facial expressions, you knew that he was judging the way you were dressed, oversized t-shirt that had spice girls plastered all over it, mismatched shoes and thick chunky sunglasses shielding your eyes from the sunlight. anyone with a brain would know you were hungover.Â
âi would never forget about my favorite nephew.âÂ
âiâm your only nephew.â oliver counterattacked.Â
âyes and thatâs why youâre my favorite. "you respond as you pull him in for a hug. engulfing the scent of wet grass and sweat when you placed a soft kiss to the top of his head, your nose playfully scrunched as you softly pushed oliver away. the nostalgic smell reminded you of the afternoons in your childhood when charlie would return from practice and plant his entire body on top of yours to rub off the smell of the outdoors onto you.Â
âollie, i donât think you can get in my car smelling like that, you reek.âÂ
you had your nose pinched as you tried to block the smell that was surrounding your nephew from entering your nostrils, a soft laugh escapes your lips as oliver lifts his armpit up and uses his opposite hand to childishly wave the smell towards you.Â
âoLIie, i doNât tHiNk yOu CaN gEt iN My cAr sMelLiNg lIke tHaTâ he mimicked, cutely scrunching his face as he made faces to go along with his attempt of copying your voice, causing for you to pull him into so you can ruffle his curls, his sweet laughter escaping his mouth as he tried to fight you off inoffensively.Â
unbeknownst to the pair of you, mason watched with awe struck eyes at the moment that was unfolding before him, a smile playing on his lips as ollie was able to break free from you, sticking out his tongue in victory.
this was masonâs first time seeing you here at stamford bridge, he was sure of it because he wouldâve remembered someone with your altitude of beauty. eyes tracing over your unfamiliar features, he couldnât help the way his heart accelerated in speed as another burst of your angelic laughter filled the room, your inviting smile brightening as you glanced down lovingly at the young child before you.Â
mason couldnât explain it but everything about you felt alluring, his eyes picked up on small details of you and made sure to engrave them in his memory so he wouldnât forget the face of the woman before him, the exquisite face belonging to you.Â
preoccupied admiring your features, he didnât notice your hand had been stuck out trying to formally introduce yourself to him. Â
âcoach mason!â oliver shouted, tiny fingers tugging at masonâs forearm trying to grab his attention.Â
snapping out of the trance he was in, mason painted on a smile as he extended his arm out to you, trying to be respectful as he felt his focus drift down to your bare thighs, cracking a smile when he noticed your feet had mismatching pairs of trainers on. Â
âiâm sorry, mind went somewhere else right then â he apologizes, engulfing your tiny hand into his immense one, trying not to focus on how smooth your skin felt against his callous skin or the way your sweet aroma engulfed his senses.Â
âno, itâs okay, happens to all of us. iâm y/n, oliverâs auntâ you introduce yourself, flashing an oscar worthy smile at mason who mirrored you. âthank you for keeping this geezer occupied.â
ânice to meet you, y/n. iâm mason. wa-it, you alr-eady knew th-at because oliver just shouted out my name.â mason rambled, nervously laughing when you threw him an adoring look as your eyebrows furrowed together trying to piece together what he was saying. âhey but no truly itâs no problem. oliverâs a great kid, you got yourself a future chelsea star here.â mason vocalizes, a beaming smile now directed towards your nephew.Â
âwhen he makes it big, i can only hope he doesnât forget his favorite player and part-time coach.âÂ
âone of my favorite playersâ oliver corrects, a toothless smile making another appearance. âi canât choose between you and pulisic. plus kante helped me score against thiago last match, so be worried, you got competitionâÂ
mason mocked hurt as he placed a hand to chest where his heart was, stumbling back to add the effect as if he had just been shot. the action caused a smile to return onto your face, something mason deemed as a personal victory.Â
âouch, oliver, ouch.â he jokes, sticking out his bottom lip playfully as he soothes his chest to help mend his âbrokenâ heart.Â
âfavorite player?â you ask, confusion drawn across your face. âi thought you were just ollieâs football coach? you play in the premier league?â
before mason could get out a word, oliver let out a exaggerated scoff. bewildered eyes looked up at you as if you just confessed to killing the king of england.Â
âyouâre kidding right?! please tell me your kidding, aunt y/n! how do you not know THE mason mount? money mase?! chelseaâs golden boy? player of the year two times in a row? do you not own a television or have internet?! do you live underneath a rock?â oliver shrieked.Â
youâd never seen oliver this worked up, his tiny arms were flailing around as he went on to tell you almost every little thing about masonâs stats as a football player. mentioning his hat trick that he scored against norwich city, how he was in nineteenth place for the ballon dâor, the list went on and on.Â
âokay, ollie i get it, iâm sorry.â you interject, holding up your hands defensively towards the six year old. you were sure he was going to lose his breath at any given moment from the rapid pace he was talking, chubby face turning red as he defended masonâs credibility. Â
âdonât apologize to me, apologize to him.â oliver insisted, pushing you lightly towards mason causing for you to dive into the broad chest of the footballer, hands breaking your fall as you collided into him.Â
âollie!â you reprimand your nephew, removing your hands from masonâs chest as you shoot him an apologetic glance. masonâs face was a bright shade of ruby red as he tried to recompose himself from having your hands on him. âhey, well,iâm sorry for not knowing you who you were. he just referred to you as a coach so i got a little confused.âÂ
âno worries, oliver only calls me coach because the little menace likes to sneak his way onto the pitch and train with us from time to time, insisting that if he is going to be a striker for chelsea one day he needs to train with the legends beforehand.â
you let out a dry laugh at your nephewâs antics, surprised at the fact he was only six and already knew how to properly worm his way into a situation that would work in his favor.
âwhat can i say? i get it from grandpa.â oliver shrugged, a cocky smirk painted on his lips as he readjusted his practice bag onto his shoulder. âcan we go now? waiting for you has only made me hungrier than i was before practice ended. these snacks they are providing us with arenât enough for a growing boy like me.â patting his stomach as he pointed to his mouth dramatically.Â
you nodded your head, you were also a little hungry yourself. not having nearly enough time to make yourself breakfast, let alone stop for something when making your way towards the bridge.Â
sending mason an appreciated smile thanking him once again, you followed close behind oliver as he quickly made his way out of the building, moaning and groaning the entire time about how he could eat an entire cow and because you were moving at such a leisurely rate youâd make the two of you late for catching the breakfast window at chick-fli-a.Â
âwait, y/n!.â mason had called after you, jogging up to where you had stopped when you heard your name being shouted. Â
âi was thinking mm-aaybe i could ta-ke you out, i mmean iâve n-ever s-een you aro-und here before so i o-nly assume youâre ne-w to the a-rea. i d-onât min-d, if you do-nât m-ind or if yo-ur b-oyfrien-d do-esnât min-d, i just kno-w some n-ice spot arou-nd that iâd lo-ve to sho-w you.â
mason was fumbling over his words as he had your full attention on him, your soft gaze burning a hole in the middle of his forehead as he saw an intrigued smile appear on your face when you caught on to what he was asking. he could only hope he wasnât making a complete fool of himself, he felt like it was too soon but he positive it was love at first sight when it came to seeing you for the first time.Â
lips breaking into a smile, you adoringly let your head drop as another gracious laugh dripped out of your mouth. lifting back up to regain eye contact, meeting masonâs that were nervously looking at you as he fiddled with his fingers awaiting your response.Â
âiâm a local, mason. i have lived here all my lifeâ you replied back amusedâ and i donât have a boyfriend.âÂ
the smile youâve grown to love in the small amount of time youâve known mason appeared at the mention that you didnât have a boyfriend, he tried to hide it but failed miserably since he felt like he just hit the jackpot.Â
âwell since youâre a local, maybe you can show me around then, any good secret spots?â mason openly flirted, closing the distance between you two to grant his internal wish to be a little closer to you.Â
âwell, they wouldnât no longer be a secret would they?â you whispered
unashamedly flirting wasnât something you did often, you usually were the one to recoil in embarrassment when an attractive guy approached you but with mason something in you was different,Â
you felt bold, nonetheless, crossing bounty lines that you set long before meeting mason. his eyes spoke a thousand words that his mouth couldnât comprend just yet, as he gazed down at you, cherishing the small freckles that were dusted across the bridge of your nose.Â
âhowever, coach mason.â you had taken a step back at this point, creating distance between yourself and chelseaâs golden boy. âi donât do football players, or coaches. so youâll unfortunately have to get a different tour guide.â you confessed, crossing your arms around your chest causing your oversized t-shirt to rise a little higher on your thigh.Â
trying not to draw his attention towards the skin that had been recently exposed, mason let a breath he didnât realize he was holding when you backed away.
âwell what do i have to do in order to change your mind about football players and coaches?â he asked curiously, mason never felt this strongly about a person upon first glance and he wasnât going to let you slip right through his fingertips so easily.Â
âi donât know much about football but i do know athletes are no good and i pledged to stay far from trouble since moving back home.âÂ
despite oliver's concerns, you didn't live underneath a rock. although you didn't keep up with football world, you did keep up with ongoing cheating accusations and drama that has aspired from females dating football players. you already felt like you had your fair share of heartbreak in your lifetime, so you were going to pass on the idea on a date with the greek god in front of you.
with that you turned on your heels as you made your way to the exit, adding a little more emphasis to your walk as you approached your nephew who was watching from the double-sided doors at your interaction with his âcoachâ.Â
âiâm not giving up that easily, y/n. trust me when i say i am a man of my word, youâll be going on that date with me in no time.â mason cockily shouted behind you. dismissing him off, you wave your hand behind your head as you and oliver exited stanford bridge, a gummy smile painted on your face at masonâs declared mission. mason eyes never left your figure until you were outside the doors, hanging his head down as he tried to digest the interaction he just had with you. he was hell bent on getting that date with you, whether it meant tracking you down on the streets of cobham or enlisting your nephew for help.Â
mason was going to get that first date, and he was sure of it.
a/n: thank you to @mountttmase @mountpulisic @mounthings for taking the time to read my rough drafts, i couldn't thank you guys enough. this series has been so fun to write so far and i already have so many ideas i wanna bring to life for y/n and mason! i hope you enjoyed this as much as i did writing it.

In season 1, Will's clothes were homely. Had stains of hobby and everyday life. Intimate. Open. In the BSHCI, he is stripped of choice. Of power. He is in the same jumpsuit as everyone else, losing his identity. His hair is overgrown. He can't afford to dream about comfort, he has to keep moving. Then we get salmon shirt era. Now nothing in his attire now is homely. It's sophisticated; professional. What profession? What is he setting out to accomplish? To take down Hannibal Lecter. For this he has donned an armour to protect himself. No signs of his down-to-earth lifestyle on his clothes even though he still lives the same life with his mutts on his farm land. He still fishes, he still works ok his hobbies. Just not in front of Hannibal, who he believes will take advantage of him. Parallel that with Margot, who also uses clothing as an armour in response to being victimised by Mason. Am I comparing Mason to Hannibal? No. I'm comparing defensive mechanisms. That 2 of Hannibal's clients both appear before him with the same inclination; both for different reasons (Will=strategic&defensive, Margot=vulnerable&defensive) and in different capacities is very poignant to me.

In season 4 his attires are pretty similar to the ones in the last season
Though you can definitely say that this time around he is leaning more into the business casual style
I don't think that was a conscious choice from the production , BUT if we were to ignore the external aspect of it , we can theorize that he was going a bit overboard trying to look put together after Allison's death.
Season 5 is easily his worst season when it comes to clothes , because it is just pretty boring .
The only real highlights are these new jackets
and this zip-up shirt
Where are his hoodies!?
Thankfully , season 6 corrects season 5's sins.
This is the season where he wears jumpers pretty consistently which makes me very happy , cuz I love jumpers.
In his final moments in the show he wears a coat
which is obviously meant to portray how mature he has become , but the shipper in me can only think how scisaac coded this is
like what do you mean Scott put his life on hold to deal with other people's bullshit ? NO! Scott and Chris are simply running a few errands. Isaac gave Scott one of his coats to keep warm .They are having dinner later with Chris and Melissa . Shut up.
In the movie his style doesn't really deviate from the one in the series.
which is fine . He essentially had to speed run growing up so it is not crazy to imagine that he will try to keep things in the middle.
Parts : Scott.1
Jackson ; Derek ; Liam ; Mason ; Theo ; Stiles.1 ; Stiles.2

I miss you, Iâm sorry (MM 19)
Mason Mount x f!reader
Warnings: angst, swearing, and as usual, fluff
Summary: Mason & you, have been best friends since the very first second. Although the bond wants to be broken by his girlfriend, who tries everything to achieve so (4.3k words)
I never thought one would be capable of holding on their heart that big amount of love for someone else. Especially one, who has already handed their heart to another. But you still are determined to give them your heart no matter the way.
Mason and I have known each other from the very first second we came into this world. His mother and mine, being lifelong best friends and giving birth, a month apart on the same date. We have been inseparable. The bond out mothers have passed into us and we have been the âtroubleâ duo ever since.
Together in kindergarten and all the way from first graders to seniors. To our disadvantage, Mason had to leave England, as he was a lone to Vitesse in the Netherlands. They were the toughest months away from him. Whenever I could and had the money to do so, I visited him and watched all his games.
âDonât waste your money on me, loveâ he would always say but secretly, he enjoyed me being there. He was lonely and I could tell.
âI always prefer to have you around than anyone elseâ he would say after our lengthy hug.
When he came back, everything was better, for the most part. We would see each other, but not always. My daily visits to his house or his to mine, became frequent to non-existent.
We would only meet at family gatherings and I kept my distance at every moment, mostly hanging with Lewis, Jaz or Declan. After he came back from Holland, he brought along a girlfriend, Chloe.
She seemed really sweet and kind, towards everyone. But apparently, I was her âsubstituteâ, keeping her âseatâ warm.
That was the first honest thing she said to me. And the last ever.
I didnât want to be an intruder so I took a step back and became a watcher of Masonâs life, instead of a part. Even though he would always text, call and give me box tickets for the Chelsea games, I turned them down.
I secretly went to the games, but in an attire, and under a fake name, away from the box, so I wouldnât be noticeable. I would cheer silently and then leave immediately.
During the match with Norwich, which was Masonâs absolute stunner, having scored a hat trick, I was noticed by Lewis, who afterwards texted me.
âYou shouldnât have to do that. Weâd tell we invited you.â
I would also get frequent questions by Jaz, Declan and Reece, as to why I didnât attend the games, when the only one who knew the truth was Lewis.
âEither heâs blind, or sheâs put him under a spell. I canât tell you anything elseâ
Declan told me from the other line of the phone. 2020 had welcomed us with the virus and we were all isolated, unable to visit or come in contact.
âHe says youâve been dodging his calls and texts. You even unfollowed him on Instagram. What happened to the âtroubleâ duo?â
âThe only trouble apparently is me and to their relationship. Thatâs why Iâve been on hiatus. If I even dare to text him a âhelloâ, Iâd be found dead the next minuteâ
âI want my old gang back. I donât like this. Mason barely gives me attention! We went to vacation before the pandemic hit and even Lauren noticed that something was offâ
âIf she wasnât attached to his hip, we would have arranged a secret meet upâ
âIâll do it and I donât give a penny what she-â
âWho are you talking to?â Masonâs voice echoed across the line, silencing both me and Declan. It has been ages since I last heard his voice. I miss him, like crazy.
âUh-no one. Just booking a tableâ
Declanâs phone was on his hand, visible to who he was talking to. Obviously I wasnât aware of that, unable to react.
âWait, thatâs-â and I immediately shut the line.
I threw my phone away and muffled my tears on my pillow. Under other circumstances, I would have Mason by my side, laughing our hearts out, feeling comfortable and at home.
Now, Iâm alone, with my only company being Netflix and my bathtub. Masonâs existence was something unreachable and forbidden and forgotten.
Masonâs POV
âWhat the fuck Dec? Why were you taking to Y/N? Whatâs going on?â I was furious! How could she call him but ignore my texts?
âYou know this isnât my doing! Donât blame me, mateâ He rolled his eyes and he got up from the couch and stuffed his phone in his back pocket.
âWhose is? I surely donât remember offending her or -â I got interrupted abruptly by Declan when he said,
âYouâre that blind, arenât you?â He raised his voice and was at the point of opening the front door.
âWhat am I too blind to see? That sheâs the one whoâs been avoiding me ever since I came back from Holland!â I grab his arm and push the door shut!
âThat this is all Chloeâs doing!â He lets out without blinking and looking directly into my eyes.
âWhat? Thatâs impossible. They barely talk. I mean, sure, Chloe would get jealous, but she would never be the reason Y/N is distantâ How could he blame Chloe? And why is he?
âAs you said, they barely talk. And when they do, Chloe does it all, because sheâs trash talking the woman whoâs been by your side since day fucking one! Who has spent all her pocket money to come and see you play in another country! Who was off-limits to me when I told you that she is cute back in eleventh grade! Who looks at you as if youâre the only man in the room! Who would do anything for youâ
Declanâs words were like a thousand cuts covering my entire body and heart. Like sharpened knifed attacking me for my mistakes that, indeed, I was too blind to see.
What if this actually was all Chloeâs doing and I didnât want to admit it.
I was speechless. I didnât know what to say. This was very wild and hard to swallow. Did my own girlfriend want to tear me apart from my lifelong best friend? From the woman that Iâd risk it all? From the woman who was the reason I didnât want to leave England for The Netherlands?
âTalk to her. Reach out to her. Sheâs been hurting and you donât even notice. Itâs your call mate. Iâm sorry I canât help much. It a decision you have to makeâ Declan grabbed me by my shoulders and try to reason me. And he was right. I should do something.
A few hours after Declan left, I heard keys unlocking the front door and non-stop talking from Chloe. I think itâs time.
âOkay, gotta go. Iâm back home. Kissesâ she said hanging up to whoever she was talking with. I put down my controller and moved towards her.
âHey baby. How was your day?â She went to kiss me but I simply held her hands back and moved my head towards the other direction.
âAre you sick? Is everything okay?â She asks, with her eyebrow being raised at me.
âNo. Iâm fine. What about you?â I reply bluntly, removing myself from her embrace.
âNo! Somethingâs wrong. You usually wonât get off me. Or leave me like this. Got something to tell me?â She bites back at my answer.
âMaybe youâve got something to tell me. Something that youâve been keeping or doing behind my back for years!â I raise my voice, more than I should.
âYouâre crazy Mase. I donât know what to say. Iâve been doing nothing! Who told you so?â She drops her bag from her hand and crosses her arms.
âI wonât tell you shit, unless you give me a good reason as to why Y/N has distanced herself the past 2 years and I barely see her!â The moment I say those words, guilt instantly takes over me. Iâve been at fault too. I barely reach out to her.
âYouâre not serious, are you? What do I have to do with her problem? Itâs not my fault sheâs jealous of us. I think itâs basic politeness rule not to interfere with oneâs relationshipâ
âI think youâre not the serious one, Chloe! She doesnât come to my games. Never replies my calls or texts. Only talks to my teammates or Declan. Is only around Jaz or Lewis when we have family gatherings and you never bother greeting her, nor being nice. And whenever you approach her, she ends up alone, shutting herselfâ
And once I realize that all this has been happening in front of my eyes, I instantly regret not having act quicker and more smartly. Because if I had, lots of this could have been avoided and our lives would have been completely different.
âYouâre blaming me, because sheâs a loner and only hangs out with your friends, just to find someone to spend the night?â
I wanted to throw up at the thought of Y/N, being with another man, who could give her less than she deserves. And I felt ashamed to be with a woman who characterizes my best friend as merely a hooker.
âWeâre done! Youâve crossed the line, Chloe. I canât do this anymore. I would never think that youâd be capable of doing so to someone who has never hurt you in any way! And I canât be with someone who offends my best friend like thatâ
In any other occasion, I would have felt bad or my heart slowly cracking. Right now, I feel nothing. I feel empty and with no emotion coming out of me in any way.
âIf you wanna break up, because of her, fine. Go fuck her. Letâs see how much of a success youâll have after youâll find one of your buddies under her sheetsâ
I swallowed hardly and went back to the room to pick up my stuff, which thankfully werenât a lot to gather. I left my keys to her couch and left. I couldnât bare being next to her another moment after what sheâs said and done.
âMaybe sheâll love me more than you ever did. Maybe sheâll appreciate me more. Maybe she wonât judge me after every bad perforce and just comfort me instead of ignore me. And when she does, Iâll know, if made the right choiceâ
I say and shut the door behind me. I pick up my phone and scroll to my contacts until I find Y/Nâs name. When I do, I click on it immediately.
âCan we please meet? I need to see you!â I type but if I said it in front of her, Iâd have a more pleasing look in my eyes and voice.
My heart was beating very fast. Waiting for her response. In the meantime, I ask Kai if I can stay at his house for the night. Thankfully, neither him or Sophia had a problem with it.
âCare to share what happened between you and Chloe?â Sophia asks me as she takes the bag from my hands
âSoph, donât be nosy. Heâll tell us himselfâ Kai said as he closed the door.
âItâs okay. I would have told you one way or another, it being the reason why Iâm here. And thank you for letting me stay. Iâll be out of your way in the morningâ I thank my friends for their gratitude and help.
âYouâre always welcome, Mase. More people for Kai to play FIFA with, so he doesnât get annoyed with me when Iâm losingâ
âThatâs not-Hey! I donât get annoyed. Donât be mean. And of course, mate, youâre welcome to stay for as long as you wantâ
âDid she hurt you? Can we help anyhow?â Sophia softly rubs my arm as she takes a seat in front of me and Kai next to me.
âHas Y/N, told you anything as to why sheâs been distant from me?â
Both of them went silent. Sophia lowered her head and Kai was trying to form a sentence through his mumbling.
âSo everyone saw, besides me? Iâm such a fucking idiotâ I facepalm myself and shove my face in my hands.
âDonât say that Mason. It wasnât your fault. Sheâs the one who made Y/N feel bad for being around you and wanted to get rid of her in any possible wayâ
âWho could have imagined that their girlfriend would plan such a scheme because she was possessive?â Kai points out and Sophia nods agreeing.
âHas Y/N said anything about me the past few months or even at all?â My attention turns to Sophia, who surely knows more than Kai at the moment.
I needed to know what Y/Nâs feelings were towards me. I wanted to apologize for everything that had happen and change the way of things. I wanted a fresh start and I wanted her by my side again.
âShe has eyes for no one but you. Convincing her to do otherwise was a lost case. She loves you more than anyone. And she was willing to let Chloe hurt her, if she could still love you from distanceâ
I was playing with fire all this time. I should have said something when my heart had her name carved on it, before someone else stepped on it.
My phone buzzed on my jeans out of nowhere. I take it in my hand and I start shaking as I see that Y/N has replied to my text.
âI donât think we should Mason. Itâs kinda difficultâ
My heart sinks at the message and I drop my phone on the table, throwing my head back.
âIâve bottled this. I had since the first moment. I should have told her I love her before I left for Vitesse but it would have complicated things. Fucking idiotâ
âDo you want us to talk to her? Maybe arrange something without her knowing youâll be there?â Kai looks at Sophia, knowing that sheâll convince Y/N to meet with them.
âShe will hate me. She probably wonât talk to me ever again if things go south. But I want both of you to be happy. And I know that if you two are together, you can be the happiest version of yourselvesâ she replies, grabbing her phone from the kitchen and calling Y/Nâs number.
The moment I hear her voice, a tear escapes my eye and my heart cracks slowly. What had I done?
âHey Soph. Everything okay?â
âYes babe. Can I ask a favor though?â
âSure. Anything you want!â
âCan you come over? Is it too late?â
âUh no. Itâs fine. Are you sure nothing happened?â
âY/N, come save me please. Sheâs making me pick dress for your next get-out. Too many outfits are on the bedâ Kai makes the situation more convincing, as Sophia doesnât know what excuse to use.
âOh stop whining Kai. Iâll come. Give me 20 minutes and Iâll be over. Do you want me to bring anything?â
âNo, love! Just your help. Thank you immensely!â Sophia gulps hardly, hating for lying to her friend.
âNo problem. See you soonâ and Y/N hangs up.
âI owe you Soph! Whatever you want. And you too buddyâ
âI just want you two together. Iâll be happy with just thatâ the woman pats me softly on the back.
As time went by, I became more and more anxious. I didnât know how she would react. What she would say. Would she be mad? Angry? Sad? Disappointed?
My stomach was tied up and I was nauseous. I didnât want to mess things up again. She was deserving of the best and if I didnât give that to her, someone surely would. And Iâll be standing there, looking at how happy she is with someone who isnât me. With someone who can also hurt her. But I hurt her too. So itâs selfish of me to think so.
I remember when she had come at one of my last games for Vitesse, before transferring to the senior Chelsea team. I was beyond happy, and had even scored two goals. Probably one of my favorite nights ever.
FLASHBACK
âAND MASON MOUNT SCORES WITH THE CROWD GOING ABSOLUTELY WILD FOR HIM. WHAT A BALLER!â Y/N imitates the commentators and what could have been my first goal for Chelsea at the senior team.
I applause her and she bows gracefully as she lands back next to me on the couch. She seems so radiant and happy. And I couldnât be more thankful for her.
âYou know, you should really be a pundit, or a commentator. I heard Sky Sports are looking for oneâ
âNo. Iâm fine where I am. Plus, I like being a personal commentator. Not for the public!â
âOh. So I get to enjoy you all to myself? Those amazing commentating skills?â
âDonât be so full of yourself, Mount. But yes, you do. Be proud of thatâ
âI am. Iâll cherish that for as long as possibleâ
âDonât worry. Youâll hear me commenting for the rest of your life. Iâm not going anywhereâ
âI damn hope you arenât. If you wonât allow the public to appreciate your skills, at least let meâ
âThatâs what I plan on doing. Whether you like it or notâ
âI think you can tell from the expression on my face what I thinkâ
âHave I ever told you that youâre my favorite person alive?â
âIâll enjoy getting used to hear that too thenâ
âOh shut up prima donnaâ
âYouâre my favorite person to Y/N. And that will never change. No one can ever take your placeâ
âGlad to hear weâre on the same page. Because no one will never take your spot. And I will never allow them tooâ
That was when I realized I love her. And I shouldnât have let her slip my hand. I donât usually regret things in life. But I did on this occasion.
END OF FLASHBACK
The doorbell rings and my heart stops beating. Shit, sheâs here. And I feel as if Iâm being drowned in my own feelings and overwhelmingness. What is this?
This is love, you dipshit.
âReady Mase?â Sophia says with a trembling voice as her hand reaches for the knob of the door.
âAs Iâll ever beâ I reply and the door opens with a bright looking Y/N, showing up, beautiful as ever. I may not had seen her in months but I could never forget how breathtaking sheâs always been.
âHey guys. Iâm here to helpâ her sentence finishes as soon as it starts when her eyes fall on me. She stops on her tracks and words donât dare come out of her mouth.
Fear takes over my body and I instantly regret everything. We wouldnât have been in this situation if it wasnât for my stupidity.
âI think I should-uh-call you later. It seems like youâve got company. I wonât botherâ Sophia stops her mid sentence and grabs her arm before she could turn back.
âGive him a chance. And if nothing changes, he will be gone. Just let him explain. Heâs here for youâ the German woman whispers even though sheâs audible enough to my ears.
âExplain what? Heâs getting married? Leaving again? What do I have to do with him?â I know âhimâ is just a subject of a sentence but it tasted very bitter, being called just that and not Mase or Mason.
âHe wants to apologize. And say something that has been haunting him for ages, that he probably should have said ages agoâ
âDoes Chloe know heâs here or will I-â
âLet him explain this one tooâ
Kai looks at me sympathetically and pats me in the back as he takes Sophiaâs hand after hugging Y/N and greeting her. Now, Iâm left alone in a room with Y/N after god knows how long.
Y/Nâs POV
âHi Maseâ is all I manage to say. My effort sucks but Iâm not the one whoâs supposed to do the talking now.
âHow have you been?â He replies, standing up and coming a bit closer to me. I feel my palms getting sweatier as he takes a step.
âThings have been good. You know how isolation works. Uh-what about-â I couldnât finish what I wanted to say when he interrupted me
âI asked about you, Y/N. Tell me how you are!â He sounded demanding but not in a mean way. More like a concerning one.
âIf I say good, that will be a lieâ I lower my head, not wanting to look him in the eyes.
âAnd I know that this is my faultâ he admits with a broken voice, wanting to take my hands into his but me slowly removing them.
He doesnât let me go, holding me even more firmly. I hadnât felt the warmth of his touch in god knows how long. There was a nostalgic feeling surrounding the moment.
âIâve let you slip away enough. I donât wanna repeat this mistakeâ Mason says, placing his free fingers under my chin and raising my head to face him.
Tears have covered my eyes and I can feel them pooling my shirt and cheeks. This isnât what I expected on a Wednesday night.
âItâs not your fault Mason. I understand her placeâ I bitterly say hating her even more than I already do.
âYou donât have to anymore. And you never should have. Hell, I shouldnât have let this happen!â He raises his voice, which makes me tremble.
âYou couldnât have known. Youâre not to blame here Maseâ I canât really blame him, even though thatâs all I want to do. Because I never took action either.
âNo, Y/N, I should have known. I should have been aware that my favorite person in this entire world is hurting. That my favorite person was distancing herself and i would slowly lose my reason for smiling everydayâ
His face comes closer to mine and I can feel my knees going weaker and weaker as seconds come and go.
âI loved you Mase. I still do. I forced myself to stop, but it was an impossible task. My heart didnât want to let you go. I believed that this pain would eventually lead somewhere, so I kept letting it take over me. Even though at moments I felt like this was a lost causeâ the words slipping off my mouth, surely have been spoken by my heart and not brain. It was what I had been bottling all those years.
âI hated not coming to your games properly and having to hide in the crowd, wearing odd like clothes so Chloe wouldnât recognize me. I hated coming to the family gatherings and not being able to even come near you, or say a simple âhelloâ. I hated that she could kiss and hug you every day and night, without realizing thereâs a dropper meaning behind this!â
MASONâs POV
My heart was slowly shattering as each of her words were like small tarts aiming for me. I had a barrier next to me this whole time, keeping away the most amazing woman everyone would die to have. And when I could have her, I decided not to.
âAfter my return, I wanted to so badly kiss you and tell you how much I love you. That night, the final one in Holland, I thought that I could never let you go. Because youâre the one for me. Because youâre the woman of my dreams. My lifelong partner in crime. But I thought this would destroy years of friendship and wonderful memoriesâ
Thatâs when she finally breaks down. She canât stop crying and falls into my arms, holding me as tight as ever. I had caused her so much pain, that I was willing to give her ever drop of my happiness so she could restore hers.
âPlease kiss me. Tell me this isnât a dream. Because if I am dream, I would hate to wake up to an empty bed. Hold me as if this is the last time we will ever see each other. Tell me that you love me. Because these have been the words that kept me going all this timeâ she mumbles into my neck and I quickly turn her head to face me one last time.
I bring my lips closer to hers, with a bright spark connecting them and suddenly the world stop spinning. I donât think Iâve ever felt my heart beating so incredibly fast.
Her touch is so soft and precious that if I could never stop kissing her, it would be better than oxygen. I could spend my entire life hanging by her lips and I would be happier than ever. She doesnât fall back. She doesnât want to believe that this is reality, when it actually is.
We unfortunately break the kiss and a massive smile is plastered on each others lips. I had missed her smile so much. I had missed seeing this beautiful girl waking up next to me everyday after we had confessed everything to one another.
This was what true love feels like. What being love and love someone is. What being appreciated and desired is. And I was glad that only Y/N could give me this feeling.
âPromise me, that you will never leave again. And I promise you that I will give you the goddamn world if it means to cherish and keep you close to me forever. I will give you everything you deserve and so much more, Y/N. Because thereâs no one else on this earth that deserves more than youâ
âI have loved you since day one Mason. I was never willing to stop or disappear. And I promise to remind you everyday, how much I love you. How much you mean to me. How much I appreciate youâ

Post-ending Claymore headcanons
-By unspoken unanimous agreement among warriors, Miria was appointed their leader. She leads a patrol of warriors who roam the continent, dedicated to their mission of eliminating any remaining yoma and Awakened Beings. This new hunting group has no formal name, though the general public comes to refer to them as the Silver Patrol. Warriors don't object to being called this. It's better than Silver-Eyed Witches. Helen jokingly calls them the Sisterhood.
-Father Vincent came up with the idea of incorporating Rabona nuns and priests into the warriors' patrol structure. They serve not only as ambassadors of the city's holy order, but to aid as liaisons between the common folk and warriors and help foster friendly relations. Service is not mandatory, but the men and women who volunteered to travel and work with the warriors found the experience very rewarding. The warriors in turn really appreciate the human company, a welcoming change from the men in black to men and women of holy cloth.
-Rabona is the base of operations and primary residence for warriors. Residential situations among them vary greatly: Miria is one of the few who is constantly traveling all over the continent and occasionally drops by to visit. Some, like Clare, Cynthia and Yuma, alternate between being deployed on patrol duty and staying at home. Others, like Galatea, choose to remain in Rabona permanently and guard its borders closely.
-The ranking and number system was abolished, though warriors sometimes refer to themselves by their numbers out of habit. Old habits die hard.
-Warriors on patrol hardly ever travel and fight alone nowadays. They're almost always in groups of at least four, often more, depending on the kind of foe they face. A warrior may request to take on a mission alone, but generally Miria likes to encourage teamwork and fellowship among her comrades.
-The emblem and black card system is one of the few remnants from the organization that warriors elected to keep. "The only good thing to ever come out of those sick bastards," Helen once said.
-The present dress code is a lot looser than the organization's. Miria encourages her comrades to wear armor and other attire that best accommodate their strengths and abilities. Many have learned to strip the hides and armor from Awakened Beings they kill and repurpose them into uniforms.
-Discrimination against warriors is a reportable offense and punishable by fine in Rabona. Warriors are more than capable of weathering some harsh words, but they appreciate the city's gesture of goodwill and protection.
-Cynthia is appointed the chief medical officer for warriors. In addition to her clinical duties, she teaches other warriors with an aptitude for or show interest in healing and tends to human patients as well. Many a young healer is smitten by her (attracting Helen's relentless teases and Cynthia's embarrassment).
-As Rabona became a welcoming sanctuary for warriors, the Ghosts brought the swords of their fallen comrades from Pieta to a designated spot in the church's graveyard. Names beautifully etched onto stone plaques were the handiwork of Rabona masons. Many flowers are left by those swords, even by common folk with no connection to the warriors at all. The sight of these swords surrounded by flowers and greenery, no longer buried in snow, ice and obscurity, moves the Ghosts enough to tears sometimes.
-A memorial for Clarice is also located in the churchyard. The stone plaque by her buried sword has no mention at all of her rank, only that she was a valiant defender and valued friend of Rabona. Warriors often visit the site to honor and remember her, with Galatea being the most loyal visitor. She plans on telling Miata the truth one day, when the girl grows in maturity and wisdom.
-Irene turned down the chance to relocate to Rabona, since she is so used to living in the wilderness and prefers keeping to herself. She is happy, however, for her comrades who get to call Rabona their home. Occasionally she will visit the city to catch up with Clare and be a guest instructor for warriors who want to work on their swordsmanship.
-Helen started the tradition of hosting annual games for warriors in Rabona. It's an entertaining spectacle for humans and warriors alike, drawing even people traveling from distant villages. There are competitions for wrestling, sword sparring, archery, javelin throwing, and running, among other things. The top three warriors in each event earn bronze, silver and gold medals respectively. (Out of fairness, Miria does not participate in the running events but acts as the referee.)
-Girls who were in training by the time of the organization's collapse were given the choice to either continue training and become a full-fledged warrior, or live normal lives among civilians. Some, like Miata, gave up the sword and joined the order of Rabona nuns to try leading lives of peace. Many girls were adopted and raised by loving, willing families. Others, like the twins, aspired to join the patrol, so they were taken in by more experienced warriors to complete their training.
-As warriors became more integrated into human society, particularly Rabona's, they find lovers, friends, and family outside their little silver-eyed circle. The more time they spend mingling with humans, the more human they become themselves. Many break free from the shell of aloofness and stiffness their former lonely lifestyles had imposed on them. Laughing, crying, cracking jokes, and gestures of kindness, it all becomes easier and more natural.

Chapter 6
Previous Chapter
âAre you seriously not coming, Jen?â It's late afternoon and Jen and yourself are back at the hotel. You had invited Jen to come out with you guys and initially, she had agreed to but has since changed her mind.
Carlos had called you shortly after you arrived at the hotel, letting you know that the outing would include the other drivers and friends. You felt the relief of knowing that you wouldnât have to go alone and that Jen would be there supporting you. But, that feeling didnât last very long; obviously.
âIâm feeling like shit again, sorryâ she shakes her head and lays down on your bed. Jen was never one to shy away from a night out so itâs safe to say you were concerned. Throughout the time that you guys were at the track, she had not mentioned that she felt ill again, nor did you notice. You really thought it had passed but you were clearly wrong, you begin to feel bad that you hadnât noticed.
âDonât worry, seriously, itâs not that bad. I think itâs just the traveling, I donât think Monaco likes me very much.â she chuckles trying to reassure you when she notices you walking towards her to check up on her.
âJen, why didnât you tell me you still felt sick; this whole time?â
âI promise I didnât, I felt good again once we started the tour. It literally just crept up on me, just now.â She sits up on the bed with a small smile, but itâs forced. You take a good look at her face, trying to read her but all you can see is how pale sheâs gotten.
âJen, Iâm not going. Youâve gone yellow, we need to get you some medicineâ you say and take your phone out to let Mason know how sheâs doing
âNo, no, no. You're going and thatâs final, you know I hate raining on anybodyâs parade. I think I just need some sleep.â she places her hand on your arm trying to convince you. âWhat good does it do for both of us to stay in? You're in Monaco, your young, live it up, we still have the rest of the weekend to have funâ she assures you
âBut how will I know that youâre not feeling any worse or if you need something?â you question, crossing your arms, still not feeling good about leaving her
âIâm a big girl Y/N, I can take care of myself. Plus, I have to call Mason anyway, we have to go over some stuff. Heâll be watching me, sort of.â
âUhh, I donât know Jenâ
âWell, I do know, youâre going! A literal Formula 1 driver, for Ferrari, asked you out on a date and youâre not going to go!â
âItâs not a date Jen!â you bite your lip trying not to smile
âUh huh, keep telling yourself that. You're going!â she stands up and turns you pushing you towards the bathroom. âGo get ready!â
âOk mom,â you say giving in
âŚ
Youâre currently standing in front of your closet, staring at the multiple outfits you packed away but still, you canât seem to figure out what to wear. Even after you re-did your hair and makeup, you hoped it would give you a little inspiration for your attire, but nope. You initially had your eye set on a dress but after Carlos told you it wasnât going to be just you and him; you changed your mind.
It wasnât that you thought it was a date or anything but, you always found confidence in your clothes when you couldnât find it in yourself. And considering that you were going out with Carlos Sainz, anybody with eyes knew that they had to dress to impress around him, I mean just look at him. It also didnât help that after your last relationship, you were left feeling insecure about your appearance. That man really pulled all your confidence from your body and kept it to himself, you want it back.Â
There were rare times you felt beautiful, even as a child you had self-esteem issues. You struggled with how you felt about your appearance and never with your mind or your artistry. You knew you were intelligent and talented, that you never doubted; youâre very proud of all your work. Your beauty, however, you always doubted it, even when nobody else did. Anybody with eyes could see and feel how beautiful you were physically, that feeling, youâre dying to find it.
After being alone with your thoughts for a couple of minutes, you thought any more time would become unhealthy. So after no success, you decided you needed another opinion. You didnât want to bother Jenâs rest so, you went to the best next thing for help.
đśChiliđś
Y/n: Hola! What are the vibes for tonight, what should I wear?
Carlos: Nothing too fancy, weâre just going out for drinks.
Y/n: Semi-casual, got it.
Carlos: Iâll let you know when Iâm outside the hotel
You didnât bother replying, not wanting to waste any time, so you simply just liked his message. He didnât let you know how long he would be so you scrambled to get dressed. You settled on a red flowy tank, some mid-waist jeans, and some small but classy heels.
Soon enough, you heard your phone buzzing on the nightstand, you breathed a sigh of relief. You had been talking to Jen, trying to calm your nerves and you felt like you were going to explode if you had to wait any longer. So, you quickly answered the phone.
âHola, estoy afuera!â (Hello, Iâm outside!)
âOk, ya voy!â (Ok, Iâm going!)
âOk, itâs 8 pm, I expect you back by like 2 am; the latest!â Jen pointed at you
âNo promisesâ You laugh at her mothering and look at her mischievously, grabbing your things and ready to head out.
âBe safe okay?â she says as you're heading towards the door to leave. But, you hear a knock at the door that causes both of you to look at each other in confusion. Looking through the peephole, you see that itâs Carlos. What was he doing here?
âHey, what are you doing, I was about to head out?â you ask him after opening the door. You notice he seems a little out of breath as you get a good look at his face.
âMedicine! For Jen, I almost forgot so I ran upâ he says holding up a grocery bag and stepping into your room. He goes up to the bed Jen was on and begins taking and showing her the stuff he got. When he first called you, you mentioned Jenâs condition and asked him where you could find a drugstore. Clearly, he was several steps ahead of you.
âCarlos, you didnât have to do this, we were about to order some to the room,â Jen says while looking at him in awe
âNo, itâs okay, donât worry about it. Thank you for letting her go out!â he giggles as he reassures her as he turns to smile at you, and you happily reciprocate it.
âWell, thank you very much. Take care of her yeah, Iâm trusting youâ she tells him as you both walk towards the door
âNo problem, Iâll bring her back in one piece, I promise,â he says as he leads you out of the room into the hallway
Once youâve bid your goodbyes, you touch his arm to get his attention. âThank you, so much, seriously.â
âItâs nothingâ He turns to you and looks down, finally getting a good look at you. Youâre about 5â3.5, maybe 5â4 on a good day and even with your small heels tonight, he still had about 6 inches on you. Considering you were also wearing a low-cut top tonight, you felt his gaze reach your chest, you felt your ears go hot. âYou look beautiful,â he says
You ignore his comment and continue walking as you donât know what to say. You hope he ignores your lack of response but then you feel his hand on your lower back again. But, this time you canât ignore it, your top is sort of see-through so you can actually feel his skin on your skin.
âThank you, you look beautiful too,â you say looking up at him and offering him a gentle smile, he smiles back.
You guys keep up the small talk until you reach the porte-cochere of the hotel. âOh, Charles and his girlfriend Alex are driving with usâ he lets you know as he opens the car door for you and finally removes his hand from your back.
âGood evening guys!â you say excitedly, knowing that there would be another girl around tonight made you feel much better.
âHi Y/N, how are you? This is my girlfriend, Alex,â says Charles introducing you two
âHi, nice to meet you. Iâm a really big fan, I'm trying not to fangirl right now. The cameras donât do your beauty justice.â she extends her hand out at you to shake
âThank you so much, I really appreciate it. Enough about me, look at you, youâre stunning!â you say shaking her hand. You guys begin small talk and completely ignore the guys, as theyâre both talking with the chauffeur about where you all are heading. As you're talking, you can hear a slight âFrenchâ accent in Alexâs voice. But before you can ask her about it, Alex questions your origins.
âCarlos was saying that youâre Mexican, right?â you nod your head yes at her. Carlos was talking to them about you, you thought. âSo am I! Well only half, I was raised here in Monaco if you couldnât tellâ she says excitedly as she points to her mouth
âNo way! I was going to ask, your accent is so cute.â you and Alex continue your conversation and even exchange socials, quickly becoming friends.Â
âLooks like there are already a lot of people here, too many,â Charles says suddenly, cutting into Alexâs and your conversation
âYeah, I thought so, all the drivers are going,â says Alex
âNo like, thereâs a lot of paparazzi. I donât even know how weâll manage to get inside the place.â Charles turns from his seat and shows his phone to both of you and sure enough, the place is packed. You instantly begin to feel anxious and begin to pick at your fingers, Carlos notices and reaches behind his seat placing a light hand on your clothed knee
âWeâll figure it out,â he says smiling reassuringly
Shortly after, you guys arrive at the bar, the guys hop out of the car first and you instantly hear the mob of people. You step out of the car with Carlosâ help but before you can even mutter a thank you, he is pulled away by Charles to the Tifosi. As the guys get closer to the fans, the fans all crowd closer. Alex quickly hooks her arm around yours, âCâmon let's goâ she says as you two are guided out with the help of security
âThank you,â you say to both Alex and the security as you place your hand on your chest trying to steady your breathing; feeling thankful that she pulled you out of that situation. Alex then swiftly pulls you to the group of wags, introducing you to them and them to you. Your mood quickly rises again, girl talk always makes you feel better. As you're exchanging socials with Lily, you feel a hand on your shoulder. As you turn around you notice the blue-eyed, blonde, all-American boy; Logan.
âMind if I steal her for a bit?â he says to all the girls
âNo, no, not at all,â says Lily as she pushes you to him. You hear a course of giggles and get teasing looks. You can tell these girls are going to be fun to hang around.
âHey, what's up?â you ask him confidently, earlier in the day, you and Logan bonded over the fact that you were the only Americans around. He expressed that he gets lonely and feels left out sometimes and that you made him feel at home. Already having so much in common, you two easily became good friends.
âNothin' much, hoping youâd come tonight,â he says shyly, as you follow him to the bar. âLet me buy you a drinkâ he offers as the bartender comes up to you both. As you both sit down at the stools to wait for your drinks, you see Lando coming towards you with a smile but quickly stops when he notices you have company. You go to smile at him but are cut short when your drinks arrive.
âHow are you liking Monaco?â he says taking his drink
âI love itâ you take a sip from your drink, âSo, much!â he laughs at your honesty
âIâd thought so, everybody always says the same thing; it is greatâ he admits
âYou live here too?â you ask while looking around the bar at the other drivers
âUnfortunately, no; Iâm in Englandâ
âIâm sure England is treating you well, itâs one of my favorite places to tour and film atâ you share with him
âYeah it is, it just doesnât have a âvacationâ feeling like Monaco does. And the weather, you get tired of it quickly when you live there long-termâÂ
âThe weather is actually why I like it so much,â you say truthfully
âReally? You should come spend some time there with me thenâ he suggests
âYeah?â you ask him teasingly, finishing up your drink
âYeahâ he smirks
Lando POV
âJust go up to them!â says Daniel, Lando had gone up to him asking for advice on how to steal you from Logan. Lando had become frustrated and he started to feel like he wouldn't get the chance to talk to you at all tonight
âWhat could they even be talking about?â Lando questions, he sees you both laughing and his mind goes wild at the thought of what it could be
âI donât know but, youâll never know if you donât go and talk to her,â says Daniel, beginning to feel frustrated at Landoâs lack of confidence
âYou know what, maybe I shouldn't,â Lando thinks back to the near accident earlier. Daniel turns his head, confused and waiting for Lando to continue
âI almost flipped the car on the hot lap earlier, it could've been badâ Lando runs his hand over his face, still feeling embarrassed. He expects Daniel to comfort him but he quickly regrets even telling Daniel after hearing him start to laugh
âOh my god, thatâs so embarrassing. Yeah, maybe you shouldnât talk to her.â Daniel says laughing and jokingly pushing Lando. Daniel expects Lando to laugh back but begins to feel guilty when he notices Lando looking down.
âIâm just kidding man, she doesnât seem like the kind of girl to hold onto things like that,â Daniel says while looking at Y/N and Logan
âLook, nowâs your chance, go!â Daniel pushes Lando forward once he sees Logan trying to get the bartender's attentionÂ
Y/N Pov
âHey, can I talk to you for a bit?â you hear from behind you, you turn around and see Lando. Hearing this, Logan turns around as well, looking a little surprised. You take turns looking from the American to the Brit not knowing what to say. You donât want to leave Logan but you also donât want to reject Lando.
âUmm, sure,â you say, wanting to leave the awkward feeling behind.
âSorry mate,â Lando tells Logan
âSorry Logan, weâll catch up later, yeah?â you suggest to him
âYeah, yeah, of course, no worries,â he says not having any other option, you feel bad ditching him but really, you didnât have any other options either. So you stand up putting your glass on the bar counter and place your hand on his shoulder as a goodbye as you walk away. He gives you a sorry smile as he turns his back on you guys.
Lando leads you to the back of the bar, to booths that are nearing empty. There are still some people scattered around conversing but itâs mostly quiet, a better place for conversation. You begin to think of how to start a conversation but he beats you to it.
âI just wanted to say, Iâm really, really, sorry about earlier today; that usually never happens, I donât know what happened, maybe it was the car or-â he rambles on apologetically
You smile at him empathetically and giggle at his unreasonable concern, you place a tender hand on his knee. He was going on and on, not even looking at you as he endlessly apologized and you knew he wouldnât stop if you didnât stop him. âItâs okay seriously, it was out of your control, stop worrying about it, enjoy your night,â you tell him kindly but sternly to get the message across.
He finally turns to look at you, bashfully, and the look in his eyes seems to want just a little bit more reassurance. So, you soothingly rub your thumb over his knee, âI promise, itâs not a big dealâ you declare. He lets out a tense breath and you see his shoulders seem to lighten, you take this as a sign that he received your message so you remove your hand from his leg.
âThanks,â he says softly
âSo, how do you feel, with the race coming up?â you try to break the silence, searching for his eyes that have been turned from you
âUmm, Iâm actually really dreading it,â he says honestly, you give him a confused look wanting him to continue, âIâve been doing really horrible so far, seasons not been going well. I canât imagine this next one going even better, everybodyâs going to cook me aliveâ
âBut youâve been trying your best, right?â you ask him, now itâs his turn to look confused.
âIâve been giving it my all, I donât know why itâs not showingâ he looks frustrated as he begins to bite his lip and fidget with his hands
âThen thatâs all that matters, if youâre trying your absolute best. Who cares what anybody else thinks, Iâm sure your team and your friends are aware of the work you're putting in. Iâve only just met you and I can tell!â you tell him from experience
âPatience Lando, thatâs key. Waiting isnât fun but, I can guarantee to you that youâll get what you want sooner rather than later.â you notice his eyes begin to glisten, your image of Lando was always one that was confident so to see him show you this side of him, you were thankful. Especially because you had only known each other for less than 24 hours.
âWeâll seeâ he smiles at you but you can tell itâs to mask his troubled thoughts
âDon't be so pessimisticâ You look forward to the other drivers who all seem to be having a lively good time
âItâs hard to feel positive about your work when it seems like everybody around you is comparing you to all the other drivers. And my team, I love them you know but, they never point out any of the good work I do, itâs just what I do wrong or what Iâm lacking in. And then, the âfansâ, theyâre on the outside looking in, they have no idea what actually goes on inside!â he talks with his hands and you can feel how agitated and upset he feels. You wish you could relate to him but you canât so, you offer him a sympathetic smile.
âNot everybody feels that wayâ you turn to him
âWhat?â he questions
âI trust you, your work. Youâll prove everybody wrong before you know it.â you assertedly express to him
âYou promise itâll get betterâ he looks at you unsure
âI promise,â you say confidently as you raise your pinky to him. He raises his pinky and locks it around yours.
âThanksâ he looks at you tenderly, âI really needed thatâ You can see the genuineness in his eyes
âAnytime,â you say truthfully
âŚ
Soon after your conversation with Lando, you both stand up and head back towards the action. You guys get a couple more drinks and start chatting about anything and everything. Lando was currently telling you about all the video ideas he had for Quadrant, his company. You were actively listening and putting in your own two cents and he gladly received them, writing a few down in his notes. He was laughing at a joke you had just made when you were politely interrupted by a certain Spaniard.
âHey, what are guys talking about?â says Carlos, walking up, drink in hand. Before either of you could respond, you hear a yell from across the bar.
âLando!â you turn and see George and Alex waving Lando over. Lando groans in protest but ultimately walks over, leaving you and Carlos. You both giggle at his childlike response before turning to each other.
âSo, what were you guys talking about?â Carlos asks once again
âOh umm, just stuff you know; everythingâ You knew Carlos probably knew about Landoâs issues but you didnât want to bring it up in case he didnât. Plus, Landoâs and your conversation was between you two only. Carlos gives you an understanding nod and changes the subject.
âI was going to come and find you after me and Charles were done, but then we got caught up with some other people, Iâm sorryâ You shake your head at him understanding where he is coming from
âI saw you with Logan and I didnât want to interrupt anythingâ he raises his eyebrows at you in a suggestive way. You blush at what he was insinuating and quickly shake your head.
âHeâs great and everything but I donât think I can do another relationship anytime soonâ You look down, playing with the straw in your glass. You werenât one to open up about your relationships, especially to people you just met but tonight, you had the alcohol to thank for that.
Carlos immediately regrets even bringing that topic up, noticing your instant change in mood. He mutters numerous sorryâs but itâs too late and you end up spilling your guts to him. You had only told the public that your breakup with your ex was mutual and cordial but that was further from the truth.Â
Your ex, he was your fiance, you thought you were going to marry him. The only people who knew that were your friends, his friends, your family, and his family. And it was supposed to stay that way but you just needed to rant to somebody who didnât know you or him. You're sure that tomorrow morning you will regret it but for now, it felt good to unload.
âIâm sorry Carlos, Iâm so sorry, I shouldnât have told you.â you set your glass down, running your hands through your hair. It had been a while since you thought about your past, you wanted to forget it and leave it behind, to run away furthest from it. But, it always came back and for some reason, it hurt more each time, and it always brought more questions. Questions you so badly wanted answers to but, you werenât sure you were ever going to get them.
âHey, heyâ Carlos tries to turn you to him as you are stuck staring at the floor, âLook at me, pleaseâ he grabs your shoulders and faces you in front of him. You feel the tears begin to prickle in your eyes, so you take a deep breath before you look up at him.
You meet his eyes and your emotions betray you, your tears begin to fall. He hurries and grabs your hand pulling you to a back hallway, empty and away from anybody. You put your face in your hands, not wanting him to see you. You're not one to cry in front of anybody so you didnât know what to do with your body. He soothingly rubbed your arms up and down until you calmed down.
You used your hands to dry your face and mentally cursed yourself for wearing a sleeveless top. The expulsion of your tears caused you to sober up, you quickly realized your situation and then became too embarrassed to even look at him. You notice a bathroom at the end of the hallway and try to make your way there but feel his arms grab at you.
âOh, come hereâ he pulls you into his side, laying his head on yours until your breathing calms down. âAre you okay?â He says before going to stand in front of you, heâs about 6 inches taller than you so he kneels down until you're face to face.
âYep,â you say looking at him, he chuckles at the irony of your appearance and response.
âIâm going to go clean myself up a little,â you tell him pointing to the bathroom, he nods leaning against the wall
After you clean the smudged mascara from under your eyes and reapply some lipstick, you come out of the bathroom to find Carlos just how you found him.
âI think Iâm going to head home nowâ You pull out your phone to try and order yourself an Uber
âIâll go with youâ he suggests
âWhat, no Carlos. Your friends are still here, Iâm so sorry I ruined your nightâ you embarrassingly admit
âI donât think most of them are here anymore, they probably moved down to another bar or club,â he says pointing to the door leading towards the bar area. You were too emotional to even notice that the liveliness had quieted down. Before you can begin to apologize again, you hear him speak up.
âAnd you didnât ruin anything I promise, thanks for opening up to me.â you look at his eyes and theyâre sincere, you can tell but, you still canât help but feel bad. You go to open your mouth to give him one final apology but he quickly shuts you down.
âVamonosâ (Let's go) he offers you his arm and you grab it, you walk out to the bar and he is right. There were no more drivers around, only team members but nobody that he would stay for and talk to. He leads you to the car and you both hop in, he gives the driver the name of your hotel. On the car ride back he gives it his all to try and make you laugh, making dumb jokes and sharing silly videos of the other drivers he had.Â
As heâs laughing at a video of Fernando he took, you turn from his phone to his face. Taking a good look at his face, you embrace the feeling of comfort he brought with him and gave to you. This man has already done so much for you in the very short time youâve known him. You were going to try everything to make up this night for him. You felt silly for this but you already didnât want to lose him as a friend. You werenât sure if you were even friends yet but he sure made you feel like you were. It scared you to not know why people come into your life when they do but with Carlos, you were excited to find out.

Ok, so, I was kinda nervous at first because like I have literally never requested anything from anyone but I love Tex McCormick so much! I mean he's literally adorable and I was wondering something along the lines of his reactions to receiving a gift that was handmade specially for him? (like a bracelet that spells out his name or something) I'm not sure if this makes sense so if not you can always ask for more clarification if you need it :)
Ofc mll (also donât be shy to request or dm me. I love meeting new people and I think yâallâs requests are very creative and cute and Iâm HERE for it â¤ď¸)
Lowkey confused
"What's that?"
"A bracelet for you, Tex."
"For me?" He smiles
you nod, holding up the bracelet, showing that his name was spelled out with white beads.
His eyes were like stars as he looked at the bracelet.
"Made it just for you."
His heart is SCREAMING with joy!
Not even joking, love.
Lets out the most beautiful giggle he ever has, gently grabbing the bracelet from your hands.
He puts it on immediately.
He brags to everyone about it.
Shows Johnny first.
Then Mason.
Then his horse. (LMFAO he would)
"Look, boy. Ain't it nice? No! Don't eat it!"
Once he lost it and cried his heart out.
"Y/n! I lost it!" He said to you at school.
"Lost what?"
You were so confused.
"The bracelet! I lost it!"
You just laughed and made him another one.
This time you made matching ones.
NEVER takes it off!
Wears it in the shower
When he rides his horse.
When he's doing his daily chores, homework.
When people try to hit on him, he holds up his wrist, showing the matching attire.
LITERALLY LOVES IT.
BUT LOVES YOU EVEN MORE!!! <<<33333

romance oblivion
pairing: mason mount x fem!reader [she/her]
warning(s): angst?
summary: the one where feelings are no longer mutual
author's note: something short to get myself out of my writer's block. my requests are open if anyone wants to send a request or two <;3.
In the second hour of the day everyone and everything seemed well settled in the night. The neighbours' music and lights were off by midnight, the streets beyond the estates quiet and deserted of traffic and commotion, all while the animals of the day decided to retire until the early hours of dawn returned in the following hours.
Yet in the early hours of the day, Mason and Y/N were mildly awake. Still dressed in party attire from earlier, resting comfortably in Mason's conservatory. Under a dim light, surrounded by the dark of the night, they entertained themselves with their slurred jokes from fogged minds, dancing with a lack of care and laughter that occasionally brought them out of their fatigue.
Here was Y/N and Mason, friends who were openly intertwined with one another. From the way they spoke to one another, from the way they were able to spend time together outside of normal hours, the way they chose to compose themselves in the privacy of their friendship compared to in front of othersâwhich was all the sameâit was difficult to expect anything other than an honest friendship that would see years and milestones to come.
Tilting her head she focused her gaze upon the individual on the other side of the coffee table. She asked, "Tell me, Mason: how are you?"Â
He offered his friend a wondering look. "How am I?" Mason had to repeat the question to himself. For the time since they settled in the space, their conversations had only known laughter and unserious behaviours. The shift in conversation was more than sudden to him.
She rolled her eyes as she laughed a bit. "Yes! I don't see anyone else here to ask."
Mason reached his hand back to scratch the nape of his neck. He let his sight wander away from Y/N. "Well... I don't know what to say," he exhaled, leaning his head rightward. It was a simple question to answer, sure. Though returning his eyes to Y/N's unfazed gazeâa look demanding and pronounced, a look purposely in his visionâhe felt the need to deliver. He sighed as his face relaxed back into a smile. "I feel like you know everything about me already."Â
And he was right to think so 'cause for the most part, it was true. Considering they had been friends since the beginning of time, they lived near one another and their friendship included but wasn't limited to personal and intimate conversations, it wasn't a surprise that they knew enough about one another just as they did themselves.
"C'mon, Mase. There has to be something I don't know about," Y/N said as her face opened up further, her eyebrows lifting slightly. She mentioned in a small voice, "Let's not point out the elephant in the room."
In fact, here was Y/N and Mason, friends and ex-partners who were openly intertwined with one another.
While exes they chose to remain friendsâincredible friends even. After two years of dating, they knew it was time to let each other go romantically to preserve all they already had. Their break-up, as unfortunate and tragic as it was, was necessary and understandable; they wanted different things for one another and themselves, leaving them feeling unsupported in the relationship that was initially nurturing.Â
As always they were patient and kind and gentle. To themselves, to one another, to the process of returning to a friendship that actually never faded away. Nothing was irrational, arguments were limited to nothing and feelings were preserved on both sides.
"I mean..."
Watching Y/N eating with a lack of care, focusing her sight upon him, her legs raised at ease on the coffee table, slightly undone in front of him. She made it clear that she was comfortable being around him as a friend, as an ex and as a friend again. She was clear of him. She no longer thought about him until her mind ran dry of thoughts to explore. She no longer held valid nor romantic feelings for Mason.
Yet here Mason was. Watching Y/N like his own reflection, struggling to form words from his distant thoughts, uncertainty every time he spoke up, observing her every action with changeless admiration and longing. For her, for something more with herâwhether worthy or not of it. He had been trying to move on, trying to focus his thoughts on someone else, anything else though his attempts weren't enough.Â
From the time they had ended their relationship up until now, Mason still wasn't over Y/N... and she didn't even know, both not even in the slightest way.
So Mason had to say, shrugging through a now pained smile. "Nothing, nothing has changed for me... Same old, same old, you know."
And though he wanted to say moreâto express himself, to say hear me out or let's give us one more chanceâhe knew he couldn't so he didn't. Not only for Y/N's peace of mind but for his. After all, before they were lovers, even before they were ex-partners, they were rightfully friends. A friendship that had always been around and uniquely theirs. Y/N was his friend, and Mason would never compromise that for his own gains.
That left Mason stuck somewhere in a place where he would be alone and without Y/N. Somewhere he would continue wanting and yearning for someone who no longer desired him. Somewhere he would continue falling for Y/N with nothing to break his fall. And his most devastating reality, somewhere he would continue to fall for Y/N while she no longer would for him but rather for someone else.

speak now m.m
what am i doing here?
iâm not supposed to be here.
this isnât like me.
iâm not supposed to be sitting here, waiting for the man i love to get married to someone who isnât me.
im not the kind of girl that should be here.
but neither again is he.
he shouldnât be here, making the biggest mistake of his life by marrying the wrong girl
i look around at the venue seeing your friends laughing together and i turn my head looking at the people all dressed in their best pastel attire, with snotty looks on their faces.
i hear her before i see her.
sheâs shouting at her bridesmaids, bless them.
âwhat a lovely brideâ i think.
i turn and see her wearing what i assume is THE dress but i canât decide as it looks more like a plump pastry.
this is not a wedding youâd expect him to be the groom of.
all this make my head dizzy.
just being here makes me go pale and feel as if a cage of butterflies have been released into my stomach.
as if heâs the one thatâs marrying me.
maybe thatâs why iâm here.
perhaps at the last minute i could snap him into his senses and make him meet me by the back door and we could ride off into the distance together.
maybe.
then comes the dreaded organ starts to play, as i slip behind the curtain ready to watch as the man i love is given away.
you come out in all your beauty mason. dressed in the nicest suit, which iâm guessing was his only choice in the wedding. he wears that gorgeous smile, which i can tell is fake, he looks gorgeous.
then sheâs here.
strolling down the aisle, her head held high and makeup nicely done, that i feel angry and jealous.
but then one look on his face and i know.
i know that instead of her he sees me.
i just know it.
thatâs why i just need him to look my way and confirm my thoughts. he doesnât want her, he wants me.
but then i hear the preacher say the magic words.
âspeak now or forever hold your peaceâ
it feels as if time has slowed down, as i emerge from the curtains, gasps sounding throughout the room from my objection. i regret it until he looks at me relieved. he turns and whispers his apologies to his bride and then begins his walk back down the aisle.
we can only look at each other.
and i feel at peace.
we grab each others hands and begin our new lives together.
a/n: iâm posting all these fics at once and i feel like theyâre not good but oh well!
