After Delhi University, protests demanding re-opening of universities reached the Jamia Millia Islamia as members of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) on Wednesday held a protest outside one of the varsity gates, asking authorities why Jamia couldn’t be reopened if DU and JNU could be? Vice Chancellor of JMI, Najma Akhtar, while speaking to this newspaper, however, said the university will be reopened in a phased manner, starting with the dental department, where the practical classes cannot be taken online nor its exams can be held in an online mode. Although no date has been fixed yet to reopen the university, Akhtar said, “We have no intention to keep the university closed. We had a meeting with the deans and other officials on February 8 regarding this issue where the teachers said they were not ready to take the students in a bunch. Even students are also not ready to attend offline classes as of now.” She also added, “Reopening of the university is gradually planned. We don’t want the students to be troubled once they enter the campus. We have to be clear that they are through with the RT-PCR test and are fully vaccinated before they return. We will give students 10 days so that they can prepare to return. There are students in Kerala, Kashmir who can't return without booking tickets.”  Akhtar emphasised that she doesn’t want the IIM Ahmedabad incident, where faculty and staff members had got infected with Covid all at once, to be repeated at Jamia. @jmientrance No sharing of hostel rooms The VC also talked about the need for cleaning the university hostels since they have been lying unused for two years. “A lot of preparations are required before we reopen the university. Our hostels have been shut for two years and they are in bad shape now. Considering the Covid situation, we will not be able to give hostel facility to all, even to the former occupants. We will allow only one student in each room to avoid any infection. Similarly, all classes will not open at the same time,” said Akhtar. Talking about the cprotest in the campus, Akhtar, said, (at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZy2QDVPSFC/?utm_medium=tumblr

Best 10 Cultural Destinations in India.
Why do you travel to check a place off your bucket list, take a break from routine, meet new people, or try new food? For all these reasons, sometimes it is the cultural heritage of a place that draws us to India with its colorful diversity, such are its attractions. So here is our choice of the top 10 cultural sites in India.
 10.Ahmedabad
To get a true taste of the city, visit one of the Heritage Night Walk in Ahmedabad, where you will see various Havelis and monuments, and taste the local cuisine at Manek Chowk. Get a glimpse of the remarkable textiles of India at the Calico Museum. About 100 kilometers from the city, on the banks of the Pushpavati River, Modhera houses the Sun Temple, dating back to 1026 AD, and boasts of some amazing architecture. Or visit the ancient step wells to get to Patan (108 km away). Don't forget to pick up a traditional Patola saree from here.
 9.   Thanjavur, Tiruchirappalli & Madurai
The temples reflect the heritage of a city, and Tamil Nadu is one of the top 10 cultural sites in India. Visit the Brihadeeswarar Temple and Thanjavur Maratha Palace in Thanjavur. Invest in Tanjore painting, which has rapidly become a form of art of dying. In Tiruchirapalli visit the 17th-century Rock Fort, which rises majestically on the city's horizon and has two rock-cut temples. Finally, in Madurai, stand like the rising gopuram (entrance gate) of the Meenakshi Ambedkar temple complex.
 8.   Bhubaneshwar & Puri
Another place famous for its impressive temples in Orissa is More than 700 of them in Bhubaneswar itself! The 11th-century Lingaraja temple complex, the 10th-century Mukteshwar temple, its unique Rajarani temple with its engraved, carved arches, and no deities are just a few of these. Then there is the seaside temple of Jagannath in Puri, where the Rath Yatra is worth seeing. The most elaborate carving of all the temples in Orissa is the Sun Temple at Konark (35 km from Puri). Shaped like a giant chariot, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is largely in ruins, but all that remains is a wonderful reminder of the architectural brilliance of our ancestors.
 7.   Bhopal
The old city of Bhopal, with its many bars and beautiful mosques, dates back to the days of the Mughals. He left his legacy as Taj-ul-Masjid, Asia's largest mosque, a beautiful sight with its pink façade and marble domed minarets. The second major mosque is the Moti Masjid, similar in architecture to the Jama Masjid of Delhi. Drive about 40 kilometers from the city and travel to Bhimbetka - an archaeological site with ancient rock shelters and paintings.
 6.   Fort Kochi
With its natural beauty, God's Own Country of Kerala is available from its backwaters to its pristine beaches. However, my favorite Kerala fort is the small gem in Kochi. Take a ferry from Ernakulam (only three bucks, one way!) And this sleepy, Portuguese-influenced city. Walk along the shore lined with Chinese fishing nets; If you ask well, the fishermen will board you and help catch them. Visit the curious Jewish city where a synagogue stands tall, a market selling everything from antiques to spices, in the evening at Greenix Village for Kathakali and Kalaripayattu performances.
 5.   Mysore
The city of palaces has two impressive ones - the huge Mysore Palace, which houses an interesting museum and presents an enchanting portrait with thousands of lights at night. The Jaganmohan Palace is the second one, which has now converted into an art gallery. The city has five other palaces, as well as several lakes, gardens, and temples. A day trip to Srirangapatna (55 km away) is a worthwhile expedition to see the Ranganathaswamy Temple and Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace.
 4.   Kolkata
If there is an Indian city that can be called a Grand Dame, it is Kolkata. Visit the Victoria Memorial, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the Greco-Romanesque Building to get a glimpse into Kolkata's past. The erstwhile French colony of Chandan Nagar (30 km away) has many beautiful buildings, monuments, and riverbank strands. Nobel Laureate Tagore's Santiniketan is 180 kilometers away, and it is an interesting day for the history buffs.
 3.   Jaipur.
The Pink City of Jaipur is full of stunning palaces, Havelis, and monuments. The largest Amer (Amber) fort, 11 kilometers outside the city, is the most important attraction with a highly decorated entrance, intricate latticework, and an impressive sheesh palace. Visit the city by visiting Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and various markets. The city is famous for its block printing industry and colorful fastening work, not for the warm Jaipur quilt.
2.   Udaipur
The romantic Lake City of Udaipur is riding a boat on Pichola Lake. The City Palace complex with the Jag Mandir in the center of the lake adds to the beauty of this experience. Check out Bagore Ki Haveli, a huge palace with more than 100 rooms, many courtyards, and magnificent frescoes on the banks of the Gangaur Ghat. Folk dances are performed here every evening. From Udaipur, take a day trip to Mount Abu's hill station, where you can see the intricate marble carvings of the Dilwara Temple.
 1.   Varanasi
The ancient city of
Varanasi
is a major tableau of many temples, river ghats, colorful markets, and saffron-colored sadhus. Take a boat ride on the Ganges, explore the small streets in the old city, and try local cuisine in many parts. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti, a truly uplifting experience - with peeling bells, mantras, fire, and incense. The 5-day classical music and dance festival of the Ganges Festival is a good time to visit Varanasi, as is Deepawali, when the ghats line up with thousands of diyas.

Top 5 Career Paths for B.Tech Graduates
Bachelors of Technology (B. Tech), is one of the most chosen career paths in India.
The number has risen so far to the extent that there is at least one engineering graduate in every Indian house.
With the rising population of engineers, it is also vital to have a clear idea about different career paths B. Tech graduates can pursue after their course graduation.
Tumblr media
Here is a list of the top 5 directions B. Tech graduates can turn into, irrespective of their specialization.
Campus Placements: There are plenty of multinational companies that hire B. Tech graduates from their respective universities and colleges.
One can always contact the placement cell of the college, attend on-campus drives and get hired in the industrial hubs of our country like Pune, Gujarat, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad, with reasonable salary packages.
On-campus drives examine the skills of students in different ways including activities, tests, interviews etc. along with CGPA or GPA, assignments and projects of previous semesters.
Higher Studies: After the completion of B. Tech one can always opt for higher studies. During the engineering course period, one can start preparing for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
Excellent score in the GATE exam can get you admitted in any of the NITs or IITs in India for a master’s degree.
Even if the GATE scores are less, one can always pursue M. Tech in other prestigious universities.
Tumblr media
Jobs in PSUs: PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) are the companies run by state or central or both governments together.
Within this public sector a considerable amount of job opportunities are available on a permanent or contractual or temporary basis.
BHEL, NALCO, LIC, Hindustan Copper Limited, Indian Government Mint, SAIL, Indian Oil, Vizag Steel, ONGC, DRDO etc. are the companies that come under the PSU.
Management: In order to climb the ladder of corporate life, one of the best options available is to get an MBA and enhance your managerial skills.
Anyone with an MBA and B. Tech are more likely to get hired by global companies, since it is a perfect proportionate blend of analytical skills, technical knowledge and managerial skills that can rise the company into further heights.
Entrepreneurship: It is not necessary that B. Tech graduates must work for a firm, they are more than welcome to begin a startup.
Becoming an entrepreneur is not an easy task, it requires a bewitching business idea, time, patience and regular investment of effort for a gradual growth.
There are many startup incubators in our country, who can help and groom you for a strategic growth of the company.
Tumblr media
Career opportunities after an engineering graduation is not limited to these five, there are ample opportunities out there for you to aspire and grab them into your fists.
The best engineering colleges in Kerala provide quality education and training for students to equip them with professional skills for the career world out there in public and private sectors.

A typical day in your study plan might include 2 hours of theory, 2 hours of problem-solving, and 1 hour of revision. The best GATE coaching centre in Kerala often recommends dedicating specific days to particular subjects to maintain focus.
 4. Utilizing Quality Study Material and Resources
The right study materials can make a significant difference in your preparation. Use standard textbooks, reference materials, and online resources that are recommended by the best GATE coaching centre in Kerala. Supplement your learning with online lectures, video tutorials, and practice tests available through various GATE coaching platforms in Kerala.

Solving previous years’ question papers and taking mock tests will help you understand the exam’s difficulty level and improve your time management skills. The best GATE coaching centre in Kerala often conducts regular assessments, providing detailed feedback on your performance. This helps in identifying weak areas that require more attention.
 Conclusion
Crafting and following a 6-month study plan for GATE Civil Engineering requires dedication, discipline, and a strategic approach. With the right plan and resources, success in the GATE exam is within your reach.
