I can't possibly overstate how much I do not care about byleth, which makes the fact that the golden deer route is so wholly about her very annoying.

she's the least interesting character, she's not even my best unit by a long shot so she never actually gets to finish the boss, and yet she has all this screen time that has nothing to do with the alliance members and I. Do not. Care. that she's a goddess or whatever. I want to know about claude's schemes or flayn possibly being that saint or which fucking sweets lysithea plans to eat A LOT more than I want to know why byleth's heart doesn't beat or wtf rhea did to her.

#I haven't played the other routes so idk if that's also an issue in them #but so much time is devoted to byleth (and rhea) in vw that the other more compelling characters barely get any development #I've learnt more about claude and flayn from their supports than from the actual main quest! he's literally on the cover 😭#idk I just think the 'I'm the chosen one' plot will never be more interesting than some weirdo #attempting to fool everyone into unifying countries or a young girl being a mythical saint #fe3h #fire emblem
