Then he stepped forward off the end of the track, coat swishing, and waited expectantly. Frankly, Dean had expected him to decline. Angels weren’t known to dance except on the heads of pins. But it was Cas, standing in the center of the pavilion a few feet from the water’s edge, head cocked as he waited. Dean took a moment to remember, thinking back to teenage him in a scratchy shirt and too-tight bowtie and the one-two-three step he’d committed to muscle memory years ago in a school gym, rattly classical music playing over the PA system as he laughed and flirted carelessly with whatever girl he danced with that night. The steps had never left him, though faces and memories did, and he flipped through the songs he’d since learned he could waltz to. I'm only going to say this once and without detail because for one it's no one's business

For two Matt Hagan used those bruises and those video tapes that were stolen to ruin my life

He showed everyone including Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, the military security we had on base, the Chaplin, the commander, my supposed parents and more. "Who is this mysterious mustached man? Hes too old" when bull shit Matt Hagan knew exactly who he was.

And he only knew where I lived because he said he had to talk to Mark Anthony about the human trafficking and then he always ledt 10 minutes before Mark Anthony got there

Then Jesse did that shit to Mark Anthony wanting to talk to me and always left before i got there, sometimes I'd see him walking down my hall, even exiting the apartment once.

Then one time the night the cam was stolen Matt had pinned me against the apartment building and was Al demanding to me about whatever and all tried kissing me which made me shove him and run while him and Jesse laughed all loudly behind me. Which is traumatizing and I didn't leave the apartment for two weeks and didn't leave alone for over a month.

Because the police came and I went to find Mark alone. To warn him they were looking to arrest him for rape. Had they not laughed it wouldn't had bothered me. But their laughter was sick and disgusting.

So you ask me who should went and had the police after themselves.

Certainly not Mark. Who was a child although older than me.

The bruises did not hurt.

Yes Mark Anthony did give them to me. When he did grab my leg yes it pinched and yes it was mean but we either laughed about it or i would hit him and tell him not to pinch my leg

At that time i recall getting the bruises they did not hurt when i got them nor any time after.

All the time i have bruises and Idk where they came from and they don't hurt

2 weeks ago i had 3 fairly large bruises on my calf and Idk how i got them. And they didn't hurt.

I bruise easily without pain on my legs

But my arms have more pain and less bruising.

That is the way my body is. So yes there's dark finger mark bruises because he held his fingers there a long time. But i didnt feel any pain and i knew his hand was there. I knew he was squeezing my thigh.

I didn't stop him nor did i want to.

And that is all I have to say. And believe me, I didn't know how to explain it then.

Jane and Lily were all freaked out and so i didn't knpw how to explain it and they were trying to counsel me on abusive relationships so i had to climb on top of her to show them how i got them and Jane laughed at me.

Because we rarely had sex in front of the nanny cam.

That night we were going out and he came home early and I was smoking and watching the tv and browsing the news papers.

Yes i started smoking at like 2. Whatever. Who cares.

Plus if i was smoking it meant i could escape the human traffic factories easier because I had cigarettes and we would pretend we were lost just looking for a place.... We did a lot of reconnaissance. Incognito and did a lot of things to protect ourselves to be able to escape.

So I don't care about opinions or facts people have to judge my life.

I try to save people everyday and it means sometimes I have to murder kidnappers or smoke before I'm age 5.

So no one has a right to negatively judge me nor Mark Anthony. And what we did.

Unless you were in that exact same situation which none of you were because i was. Me not anyone else.

So I don't give a shit what anyone wants to say

I was a beautiful child with a beautiful body. And I obviously knew what pleased me and didn't.

Like i said that girl calling on the daycare was a lazy bitch. That was my opinion. Fact is im a single mom too and i had to put my kid in day care before too and my kid was kidnapped from day care.

So a note to remind about diapers on the tummy isn't a big deal. If it were my daughter in a dress I would be concerned how and where people wrote on my daughter. And probably its better to write it on the arm.

But I didn't judge the girl. I judged the situation.

So as i said you could judge my situation but unless yoh were there you dont have the ability because what i did was rare

Very few people went into human traffic facilities in order to free people especially starting at age 2. Saint Luches started at 3. And hes a boy. And he was 2x my height.

And So our bodies matured faster. I was the only 2nd grader with books at school. And i was thin as you all seen.

With a mustache 10 year old Mark Anthony could drive. But he couldn't attend school at his age grade level.

So don't fucking judge us negatively

Be proud we adored each other and had proper sexual engagement. That is what the world can do for us.

And again the bruises didn't hurt.

And I'm upset and pissed off at what Matt did 30 years ago.

I don't care that people see me being me with a grown ass boy that loves me. I don't care at all.

Because there is nothing anyone can do to us.

Not now. They already did their worst to us.

I am proud of who I am and the fact that I enjoy sex with another person whom gives consent to sexual activity.

But the fact is that it is child pornography.

And I bruise easily and I was in harm from Mark Anthony. Ever. He always protected me.

When we weren't in groups. He left me a note when and where he would be. So if he was late i knew where to look for him. Because he would go in the boys only side.

And i was to call Ivana or The Orginal and Real Uncle Donald to have a car take me. Because a few times I would just go look and get a feeling and follow it and not even look for him.... Because i would always think "what is the most dangerous place?" And i would find it. So i had to take a car... Cause i got beat up on... On my face and poor Jesse didn't like the strangulation marks my scarf left him. He should never touched me nor taunted me.

And so we had a whole system. And when I saw Jesse leave my apartment, I told Mark that he was the one i saw in the park and gave the black eye to. That's why they went in and stole the camera. Matt and him. Jesse saw him with me once or twice and got him to do this and that. So that's the story they said. But they were living together and Jesse told him to go get the hook up on me unbeknownst to anyone sane.

When i went in the girls only side he waited in a truck in the street. To make sure i was okay.

That night they assaulted, me i had walked down to pick up Thai food while Mark Anthony was asleep. Cause we would eat it for two days and it only cost us $20 for 4 meals with soup and egg rolls. And we would get it when we had to shop or just shopped and wanted to rest after a long week

We usually ate it on weekends but that was a Wednesday and he had skipped work because of a chest cold.

Because getting the kidnapped people sick wasn't good because it could leak us or it would cause them to simply suffer more if they got sick.

So it would set us back and the people from the Thai restaurant would have to go in when they had news of family and the ability to relocate and they would sneak in to deliver food.

I never liked to eat at the restaurants because the workers there didn't eat and the girls i wanted them to know They were off work and would be. So simply a gesture of not eating to me meant the world would go without so they could be free.

Mark Anthony would eat to show the boys they were one and the same. He was free and they would be and should be like him.

But I always felt it distracted and weighed me down and i have an allergy to MSG. So id make a sandwich at home before i left. Id have a snack or bite or two if one of the girls asked.

One girl was Jewish and was worried about Nazi and being poisoned so she would usually give me a few bites of food to show her it was safe. Almost always. Or she would wait 20 minutes to see how the others reacted.

This is a different restaurant than i mentioned before. And different girls.

And so not eating gave me a way to watch the street if i felt unsafe or to watch the girls to get to know them individually.

Watch them laugh and talk and see how their cultures were different. I could tell how long a girl had been free before she wad kidnapped by her attitude and her voluminous self.

But not always. Some of the loudest had been in their whole lives and were happiest. Those always stayed. They didn't know how to get home.

But they always tried to get to the littlest right away to find out where their homes were so they could go home right away.

"We can get you home fastest" they would always say.

So I've had a very proud life. I'm not arrogant about it. I barely remember it. We did what we had to do to stop greed and abuse.

We returned them all. Clones. Humans. Aliens. It didn't matter. We trusted them and sent them home.

We were very young and naïve. That doesn't take from what we did. We did the best we could

So now we have learned in our years and it's a different kind of WWIII. As i said it's as good as over. But we still need to finish and we will.

My daughter was born on the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's "i have a dream" speech. And we celebrated her 16th Birthday late.

Where I once again saw Saint Luches the boy that allowed me at 2 years old to find my way through Iraq, Afghanistan, Isreal, create Al Qeada, ISIS and give Abu a name of honor.

And so Martin Luther King Jr. Sir. Your dream will be achieved.

Thanks to one little 16 year old child.

First week in Williamsburg, VA (Blog#4)

So finally, I decided to enroll at the MBA program at College of William & Mary at Williamsburg, Virginia in USA. I paid my deposit fees, and applied for student visa. I explored various flight options and found that British Airways had the most generous baggage allowance. 3 bags upto 23 Kgs (50 lbs) each are allowed for students as check-in luggage. Additionally, you can carry another bag of 23 Kg as cabin bag if you can lift it up to stow in the overhead bin.

While, I was making provisions to come to United States and learning how to cook, I contacted a lot of W&M Alumni/current students. Through LinkedIn I found few graduates of the MBA program living in New Delhi. My admission committee (AdCom) helped me connect with few more graduates as well as with incoming students. I organized a meet & greet, and learned a lot about life in America and Williamsburg in particular.

Networking: One keyword often mentioned by the grads was Networking. And it was an alien concept to me. So far I was operating in an environment where people ask question and you answer – or vice versa. For a job, you go through set pattern. Apply online, get invited for interview, answer the questions you are asked, clear the technical rounds, then talk salary in the HR round.

Networking was different. Make small talk about things, interests like sports or cars, find a commonality and leave an impression. It was like if you are 8 years old and your parents moved to another city. Now you have to change schools and make new friends. This was way outside of my comfort zone which was being direct. You want a job, you ask for it. You don’t talk fluff to pad time and then ask for a job, this was very close to being deceitful in our culture. But, I was told that the direct approach doesn’t work in the west.

Elevator Pitch: There was another concept of elevator pitch – which my W&M MBA’s career services people told me about. The situation is that you find yourself in an elevator with the CEO of your dream company, you have 60 seconds to introduce yourself in way that leaves a positive impact on the CEO’s memory. 60 seconds?!! I thought, I cannot even decide which pizza toppings I want in 60 seconds. And my fate could be decided in that time? Nevertheless, I started working on my elevator pitch. 60 seconds to include something unique about myself that would possible separately me from other applicants vying the same job.

Certifications: I started to do another self-assessment. I knew I did not have a stellar GMAT, and I wasn’t from a traditional business background or enrolling at Harvard. All my work experience to this point was technical engineering. I saw LinkedIn profile of students who had their undergrad in Finance with minor in accounting, then went to do CFA level 1, 2 and 3 before joining the MBA program specializing in Finance and graduating to become Director at a firm. Such candidates I thought would go on to become CEO or CFO by the time they hit 40. To be competitive and pad my resume, I needed certifications. I cannot appear to be just an engineer to the person reading my resume. In April of 2013 – 4 months before I was to leave for US, I enrolled in project management classes. The plan was to arm myself with Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certifications. The classes were on point but I couldn’t take the PMP exam. The project management course was taught on the newer version of book of knowledge that the examination centers at New Delhi had yet to update.

Since the India edition of the Green Belt book was much cheaper, I bought that book and started reading. But honestly, most of my time in India was spent with my wife, family & friends. Soon it was end of July and for the first time I was jobless. I was on a tight budget and had accounted for my monthly spending not to exceed $1000.

So finally 10th Aug came, and after a teary goodbye to wife and family, I boarded the BA flight. It was a long journey. 8 hours to London from New Delhi, layover of 3 hours. Then another 8 hours to NYC, take luggage to do immigration during the 5 hour layover, then another 2 hrs flight to Norfolk, VA and finally another hour in taxi cab to Williamsburg, VA. I was contemplating my decision to not enroll into other schools and borrowing all my parent’s life savings and investments to get my fancy MBA. Failure would be a bitter pill. Will I get a job? Will I adjust to US education system? Too many questions and self-doubt. It was too late as the plane was on the runway. Found some comfort watching movies during flight.

Week 1: The first week at Williamsburg was as unique as it was challenging. Every student in our MBA cohort was put into a team of 5. I was in team 3. In my team there were two Americans – Chris was ex-army and wanted to get into healthcare, Chloe was a scholar who loved green energy. Frank was from Taiwan and was a Finance guru, Teru hailed from Tokyo, Japan and had several years of experience as marketing manager of Maserati.

Week 1 was orientation, to foster team building we all were made to do several team based activities. My favourite was ropes course. They’ll present a challenge like as two teams of 5 to go across the rope tied between two trees, the catch is that if you touch the ground your team is out. It brought out lot of different leadership styles and taught us to trust one another. This week was also very tough physically and mentally. I was still suffering from jet lag, I did not have a phone with me, because I did not have any documentation needed to get a cell phone. No address proof, no bank account, no social security number.

I did not have a car to commute and had to rely on university line bus service known as green line. If the bus was late for whatever reason, meant that I was late for team meetings etc. In US, even if I was late by 2 mins it was looked down. In India people usually understand that one can be +/- 10~20 mins late due to traffic – not in US. 8 means 08:00 not 08:01 or 08:15 come what may.

One of the days, I couldn’t get up in time in the morning and was late for a team activity. I had no alarm clock and did not know where the nearest supermarket was or what it was called. Current students were either still concluding their internship or visiting family and had not yet returned to Williamsburg. Clearly, I had let my team down and I was disappointed. I felt miserable all around, the food consist of salads, sandwiches and pizza slices, which didn’t help either. I was home sick, I needed Indian food. On day 6, I went to an Indian restaurant to eat dinner with one of my Indian classmate. We ate till our hearts content, the bill? $100!! This further added to my misery. I couldn’t sustain the financial status quo, something had to change and soon.

Cheat Sheet: It’s the end of summer. What is the state of the U.S. tokenized securities market?

So far in our STO Primer Series, we have explained “how we got here” with respect to blockchain technology, the historical context of tokenized securities, why you should “even bother” with STOs and what they could do for real estate. This week, we’re finally ready to talk about the here and now for the security token ecosystem. In this broad overview, research lead for New Alchemy Capital Seline Jung describes the current state of the Security Token market for US investors.

If you attended any blockchain conferences this summer or subscribe to a crypto newsletter, you may have noticed that “Security Tokens” are starting to take the center stage of discussions and debates related to blockchain technology, the tool that made Security Tokens possible. How to trade tokenized securities and what they can be used for (such as real estate) are some of the popular topics of conversation — and that is predominantly the realm in which Security Tokens exist today: Just talk.

That is because this year was construction time for the security token ecosystem, with it still being very much underway. Traffic is not flowing yet, and we still do not know exactly what this ecosystem will look like once all the roads, highways and bridges are built. There are many opinions on what it should look like, including some which contradict each other, so it’s prudent to expect that not everyone will get the tokenized future they want. The emerging Alternative Trading System (ATS) space, for example, may end up being a head-to-head situation between tech teams and traditional finance players.

The system may be in the process of being built, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t active opportunities for investors willing to bear the risk. Understanding that risk requires a broad view of those varying opinions and the infrastructure being built. To help, here’s a cheat sheet for the current state of the US tokenized securities market:

Opinion Roundup: The Bullish vs. the Bearish on Security Tokens

BULLISH:

Trevor Koverko, the founder of the security token platform Polymath, told Coindesk that “security tokens will save crypto” by decoupling from “risky” assets like Bitcoin that are not backed by a physical asset. “It’s about yielding to the man,” Koverko said.

Darren Marble of CrowdfundX published a post on LinkedIn in early August 2018 stating his observations on the market, including that there is a big need for full-service investment banking around security token offerings (STO). Marble however does note that in his opinion the majority of Reg A+ STOs may fail due to the exemption not being fit for startups with no customer base.

BEARISH:

Meltem Demirors, strategist at CoinShares, said in an episode of Laura Shin’s podcast “Unchained” that although she’ll be advising many firms on them, she doesn’t find security tokens particularly exciting. She tweeted that institutional investors are not interested in investing in assets that are “possibly worse than” what they already have. Demirors says she doesn’t see any asset classes that will be displaced in order to invest in security tokens.

There’s plenty of general security token skepticism out there. Angus Champion de Crespigny, a blockchain advisor and investor, wrote in a blog post that enterprise technology cannot support the needed infrastructure and gives the increased liquidity thesis the side eye.

Recent Security Token Offerings

Indiegogo announced in late August that it is issuing a token that will entitle investors to an ownership stake in the St. Regis Aspen Resort in Colorado. “Aspen Coin” owners — who must be an active user of Indiegogo — will own tokens that represent a share of common stock in the resort, and will be able to purchase that investment using bitcoin, ether or U.S. dollars. This is one project moving towards tokenizing securities in real property, as we covered in this piece on how tokenizing real estate can create wealth by destroying fees.

An electric scooter startup called Spin announced in late June that it is “finishing up” a security token offering of 125 million USD to entitle investors to a portion of company revenue.

Investment crowdfunding platform StartEngine has filed a Reg A+ form with the SEC to conduct an STO of up to 10 million USD in bitcoin and ether. StartEngine is one of several companies looking to Reg A+ for their STOs. So far none have received SEC approval. Not all are fit to do so, however: the difference may be made in whether the filing company is already an established one, armed with an underwriter and auditor.

CoinMint announced a partnership at the end of August with Securitize.io to tokenize fractions of Bitcoin mining power. While Coinmint builds a new 1,300-acre mining site in upstate New York, investors are expected to receive daily payouts.

And this week, Blackmoon Financial Group launched its “Prime Meridian Capital token (BMxPMR),” a token which tracks Prime Meridian Capital Management’s real estate lending fund.

New York-based real estate fund Leaseum Partners announced Sep. 5 that it is teaming up with Tokeny to launch a $250 million tokenized real estate portfolio.

Security Token Offerings: In Charts

Based on total numbers of token projects filing Form D exemptions for their sales, it is clear that there is burgeoning interest from issuers and investors in securities offerings for blockchain projects.

Concurrently, the rate of blockchain- or cryptocurrency-related regulatory actions around the world related is accelerating, such as the amount of countries with explicit bans on the use of cryptocurrencies.

The State of Alternative Trading Systems

What is an ATS?

An alternative trading system (ATS) is a trading venue approved by the SEC for trading without having to register as a national securities exchange. In theory, an ATS is important for investors in security tokens due to the fact that it can provide access to an immense amount of liquidity — or so they say. One type of ATSes are colloquially known as “dark pools,” which just means that users can place orders without publicly displaying the size and price of the order to other participants. All ATSes comply with SEC and FINRA requirements, including that it must register as a broker-dealer first and file an initial operation report before beginning operations. ATSes must also be approved by FINRA.

SharesPost (broker-dealer and ATS) and OKCoin announced a partnership in late July in which OKCoin will provide access to U.S. investors for SharesPost’s security token offerings through OKCoin’s registered liquidity and settlement network.

Bittrex and RIALTO.AI announced in late August a partnership to expand Rialto’s ATS to support digital securities (pending approval).

The Gibraltar Stock Exchange is applying for a new license that would enable it to list and trade security tokens.

OpenFinance soft-launched its ATS for security tokens in August. It says it is currently conducting trades on its platform.

Switzerland’s stock exchange in early July announced that it’s building a fully-integrated platform for trading, settlement and custody of digital assets.

The Future of the ATS landscape

The main reason behind the excitement surrounding ATSes is the prospect of fast trading and large volume. However, it may take a significant period for the market to mature. For instance, most security tokens which have already been sold were issued under Regulation D exemptions, which generally require a 12-month lock-up period before trading may occur.

Even after such trade restrictions pass, what the trading habits of security token purchasers and demand is from other investors is (are?) not yet known, so some of these services which are now in development may face liquidity or operating capital issues in the long term.

What is certain about the burgeoning ATS market is variety. Some services might require the use of a proprietary token for paying fees; some may be directly affiliated with brokerages like E*Trade. Some will attempt to be “one-stop shops”, firms that offer end-to-end trading, settlement, custody services, investments, and even issuance advisory for security tokens.

Because of the range of services these ATS projects aim to provide, it is incumbent upon investors to do their own due-diligence into the capabilities, reliability and credentials of any system they use; this includes checking if the proper registrations with regulators have been filed, reviewing terms of services, and sometimes reviewing code. Napa Valley and San Francisco

Suisun City, California

Monday & Tuesday, July 02 - 03, 2018

Last October, 2017 there was a major fire in the Napa Valley and Sonoma California areas. According to my daughter, there were mandatory evacuations all over the place and where she lived was next on the list to be evacuated if the fire jumped over the freeway. Several fires joined into one very large fire covering over 245,000 acres so the images in my head were hillside after hillside covered with burned vines, trees, and vegetation.

I have always wanted to see the picturesque rolling hills of Napa Valley with its vineyards and tasting rooms. We took the opportunity to go during the visit with my daughter and her family. Napa Valley itself was virtually spared as the flames went around the valley on the hilltops on either side. Several wineries had some damage but all of the major debris, burnt vehicles and destroyed houses had been cleaned up when we drove through.

Thankfully, it was hard to tell where most of the damage had been. Several of the hillsides and fields that had been burned were already planted with new grapes so some of the destruction that had occurred was now masked.

As we were driving, my daughter mentioned a vineyard that had lost many vines and most of its buildings had been destroyed. We were surprised to find their off-site tasting room was still open after the fire. Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa was gone but something neat happened after the fire that has been a media sensation. A photo of the 12 foot tall “LOVE” sculpture that lined the hills at Paradise Ridge Winery survived the blaze and was posted on line.

The sculpture had been the backdrop for countless weddings and other social occasions over the years. It came to be seen as an indication of resilience, survival and hope for the Napa Communities. Love overcomes.

Amid a charred grove of oak trees, one relic still stood this week at the Paradise Ridge Winery — the 12-foot-tall, four-letter word: Love.

The sculpture, which originally debuted at Burning Man in 2007, is probably the most iconic piece of art at the Santa Rosa winery, which over the years has collected dozens of pieces for its sculpture garden, many of them originally from Burning Man. The sculpture, a rustic steel sculpture stamped with flying birds, is popular with newlyweds and is the work of Reno's Laura Kimpton and Jeff Schomberg.

"That 'Love' sculpture has become a symbol of hope in Sonoma County," said Sonia Byck-Barwick, whose parents opened the winery in 1994. "As my brother said, love conquers all. He took that photo when the property was briefly opened on Monday, and it’s gone viral. High school kids are sharing it on Snapchat and Facebook. It’s their symbol that it's going to be OK. I mean, how can you not love a sculpture that says love?" (USA Today)

I was glad to see the area had cleaned up the debris, new vines were planted and in other fields the irrigation systems were being repaired so that more grapes could be planted. Napa and surrounding communities are working hard to move past the fires, making wine for our pleasure, and giving tourists a great place to visit and learn all about wine country.

After the long drive, it was time for a quick bite before returning home. We stopped at Mary’s Pizza Shack - a great stopping point during the late afternoon. The chicken Alfredo and pizza filled everyone up and everyone, including the grand baby, had an enjoyable afternoon outing. It was a nice break to get outside and see the beautiful scenery of Napa Valley and Sonoma.

Also, while visiting my daughter, we spent an afternoon in San Francisco. It was easier to take the ferry than drive into the city and find parking. We drove to Vallejo to catch the ferry into the city. The day was still warm and smoke from the new fires around coastal California filled the air giving everything a brownish haze.

The ferry ride was nice and an easy, just over an hour, sailing across San Francisco Bay. There was no traffic to deal with and beautiful scenery to look at along the way. We passed a small island with a lighthouse and several small out-buildings all painted red and white, which contrasted against the blue waters of the Bay. We sailed past Alcatraz island with the Golden Gate Bridge, a mile or so away, in the distance.

We arrived at Terminal Pier 41 on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf.

People were everywhere, street performers and artists were doing their things along the waterfront and everyone was having a good time. There were caricature artists, street dancers, contortionists, and a guy playing great island music on kettle steel drums. The different smells of various foods drifted in the breeze as you walked along from Pier 41 to Pier 39 and the Embarcadero. There were many restaurants available and you could eat about any type of food imaginable.

As one ferry arrived about 100 bicyclists disembarked and groups of about 5 or 6 of them fanned out in different directions. I first thought it was a big group of people riding together or a bike club but they did not seem to be on any organized bike ride. It was just a large number of people coming in from the suburbs, having a nice ride in the city on a clear windy day.

We ate dinner at a seafood restaurant on Pier 39 and while waiting for the return ferry had beignets at a little crab shack eatery. They were so good we ordered more to take back to the house.

It was a great afternoon and everyone was tired after the sunset cruise back to Vallejo.

By the time we returned to the house, the stars were out, the smell of smoke had mostly dissipated; it was a fitting end to a fun day. And, not having to deal with San Francisco traffic was a major plus in my book.
