I can’t believe this is finished… this piece has been a long time coming. I started a version of this in like 2018 before I got burned out on anything Dragon Age. Still loved it and still wanted to draw this piece. Ever since I got my iPad, I feel like I can draw everything. I also keep feeling like I’m not any good… it’s silly, I know.

Atrina is using the dagger, Fang, that had belonged to her late mother and Duncan’s sword. Alistair is using his late father’s, King Maric, sword (blue like in the book instead of yellow in the vanilla game) and Duncan’s shield. They’re fighting a Genlock and a Hurlock, respectively. Not counting any of the time I wasn’t able to work on this due to work, the theatre, my own moments of self doubt, and just life happening, this piece took about 29 hours to complete.

These my babies and I love them🥰💜 just look at them in their uniforms!! All covered in blood 😂

Ohhhgg having an issue with doing my homework so here’s a very quickly done little thing!! This isn’t the style or way I normally use markers but I kinda wanted to scribble for this so THATS what I DID!!! YEAHHH!!

Used alcohol markers for the color, sharpie for the lines, and white-out for the stars!! I love white-out ohhhgggg

Anyway this is one of my little beasties!! This is Atrina, who is basically living magic and emotion tied to a caster (Lucas) with a mind and will of her own, while sharing the same soul as her caster. Looooveeeee her :33 she’s like the brain cell which is great

Pen pearls is the common name for pearls from the Pinnidae shell family, often called “wing shells” or “fan clams.”

Atrina shells have a continuous nacreous layer and in Pinna shells the nacreous layer is discontinuous. Pen pearls can be either nacreous or non-nacreous as seen in photo #2 which includes a large hollow nacreous pen pearl surrounded by lovely black non-nacreous drop shaped pen pearls.

A unique characteristic of about 80% (an estimate of a friend who sees lots of pen pearls) of non-nacreous pen pearls is crackling which decreases their value as compared with other natural pearls of the same sizes and shapes. Crack densities vary from slight depressions to quite obvious cracks as seen in the two photos.

“Referencing Atrina rigida, an elusive species of pen shell found in Florida's shallow coastal waters, this sculptural artist book is intended to be held and read as a celebration of nature and a humble reminder of our own fragile connection with one another.

The Mollusk is the 2018 artist's book edition from the Marjorie S. Coffey Library Endowment Residency at the George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida. The book was created by Amy Richard during the semester-long residency in the fall of 2018. This project is the result of research and study in the Harold and Mary Jean Hanson Rare Book Collection in the Special and Area Studies Collections Department. Inspiration was found from a range of rare and historical books about Florida malacology (the study of mollusks), nature, poetry, book arts and livres d'artiste.

Produced as a variable edition, this sculptural artist's book is designed and made entirely of handmade paper by the artist. The shell serves as a "cover" and was produced using a paper lamination technique with abaca paper and hand processed kozo bark lace. Inside the shell between the layers of translucent "mantel" pages, pulp printed on flax paper, are the "gills", made of kozo paper.”

Bristina Pace

Kristina Pace is the oldest child of Atrina Pace, who moved out shortly after she became an adult and who I didn't play for a long time. She's a fairly simple lady who married rich, but as dry as her love is for her husband, she's a very nurturing mother and has been doing her best to make sure they are raised right. She's unofficially a writer, I could probably give her the freelance career?

Nurturing she may be to the children she lives with, she's got a wandering eye, and she's strayed to a few lovers here and there, which is why she's got two other children around town.

She was always kind of a sharp lady and very direct, and I liked her.
